Its a thesaurus for spiritual words.

Quite an easy read to start with Lobsang has a sense of humour so bits in it that's made me giggle.

I struggled to keep reading the last few pages, probably more cause of being busy with life then picking up the book , but glad I finished it.

Once again a change of style, in this volume of the Rampa series a dictionary of terms presents many strands of spiritual investigation from Tibetan, Chinese, Japanese and various Buddhist or Hindu traditions. Among the more well-known and accepted ideas and practices there are introductions to meditation techniques and other esoteric concepts considered exotic in the western world.

Of particular interest are the breathing exercises and the consciousness of diet. These are the aspects which seem to carry so much of the New Age movement that has blossomed since the 1960s.

My copy of Wisdom of the Ancients was originally owned by the library of The Theosophical Society in South Africa.
It changed owners many times since before finding its way to me. Lobsang Rampa was one of the mystic pioneers, bringing the 'unknown' to the Western worlds. Reading his adventures will enrich any person.
