"The Space of Love," the third book of the Ringing Cedars Series, describes author's second visit to Anastasia. Rich with new revelations on natural child-rearing and alternative education, on the spiritual significance of breast-feeding and the meaning of ancient megaliths, it shows how each person's thoughts can influence the destiny of the entire Earth and describes practical ways of putting Anastasia's vision of happiness into practice. Megre shares his new outlook on education and children's real creative potential after a visit to a school where pupils build their own campus and cover the ten-year Russian school programme in just two years. Complete with an account of an armed intrusion into Anastasia's habitat, the book highlights the limitless power of Love and non-violence.
Vladimir Nikolaevich Megre (born 23 July, 1950 in Kuznichi village, Gorodnyansky District, Chernigov Region in Ukraine), the author of The Ringing Cedars of Russia book series, was a well-known entrepreneur. He spent most of his childhood with his grandmother Efrosinia Verkhusha, a village healer. As a teenager Vladimir occasionally visited Father Feodorit, a priest of the Trinity-Sergiyev Monastery. Later he was shown there the picture «The One and Only» which he described in his second book before the picture was revealed to the world.
Vladimir started an independent life early and left the parents' house at the age of 16. Since 1974 he lived in Novosibirsk and worked as a photographer with Novosibirskoblfoto, a service company.
At the beginning of Perestroika (reforms of the late 1980s) he was the president of the Inter-Regional Association of Siberian Entrepreneurs. In 1994-5 he organized two large-scale trade expeditions with a fleet of river steamers along the River Ob along the route Novosibirsk -- Salekhard -- Novosibirsk at his own expense. On this trip, an encounter with Anastasia in the Siberian taiga changed his entire life.
It had been a secret for a long time for relatives and friends what made him, an entrepreneur with ten years experience, to pledge his property and spend his savings on unprofitable trading trips. The mystery was revealed in his books with Anastasia as the main character. Vladimir Megre brought something really invaluable from the trips.
Throughout 1996-2006 nine books were written by Vladimir Megre (The Ringing Cedars of Russia Series: Anastasia, The Ringing Cedars of Russia, The Space of Love, Co-Creation, Who Are We?, Book of Kin, The Energy of Life, The New Civilization, Rites of Love).
In 2011 the author became Laureate of Gusi Peace Prize.
By now 11 millions copies of the books translated into 20 languages have been sold. In 1999 Megre established the Anastasia Foundation for Culture and Creative Support in the city of Vladimir and launched the site www.anastasia.ru. Readers' and press conferences take place in Russia and abroad.
The author holds readers' and press conferences in Russia and other countries.
The most active readers of Ringing Cedars of Russia book series unite into public organizations, one of the aims of which is the creation of Kin's domains. In 2010 another book "Anasta" was issued. The author plans to write a scenario on the basis of his books.
The author comments about himself and his books:
Good shall prevail on the earth!
- The parade of worldly rulers, no matter what grand temples they might have built, will be remembered only by the filth they have bequeathed to their descendants. Water will prove to be the criterion; the measure of all things. With each day that passes, the water seethes with more and more contamination.
The above words were pronounced by a character from my books: a recluse from the Siberian taiga, Anastasia.
My name is Vladimir Megre. I was born on the twenty-third of July, 1950, in a Ukrainian village. Then I studied, got married and worked in Siberia, but that isn't the main thing. The most important aspect of my life emerged after my meeting with Anastasia.
It was the beginning of perestroika in Russia, and I had just gone into business. I was a leader of the Entrepreneurs of Siberia Association. I used to sail with goods on a motor ship over the Siberian river Ob up toward the Arctic circle. I enjoyed wandering around the taiga by myself, while the ship was moored.
It was on an isolated bank of a taiga river that I one day met a recluse from the Siberian taiga. Her name was Anastasia, and she would soon transform my outlook on life.
After reading Anastasia --- the first book in the Ringing Cedars series by Vladimir Megre, I surprised myself by trying another. Like the first book, the Space of Love oscillates between being inspiring and maddening. In the first book the author meets Anastasia, a Siberian recluse, spends three days with her in the Taiga during which he falls in love with her and impregnates her. He realizes that she is no ordinary woman but endowed with super-human abilities, and a person of great wisdom. She asks him to return to the world and write a book about their meeting. She tells him that the book will be a best seller that will inspire millions. That astonishing prophecy came true. The books have sold over 10 million copies and are translated into 20 languages. In Russia they also inspired a vast outpouring of poetry, painting and music. Now we have the Anastasia Foundation, and various eco-communities. It's a remarkable feat for a businessman who had never written a book in his life, self-published the first one and did very little marketing.
The Space of Love describes his second visit to the forest glade where Anastasia lives. He meets his baby son, who is being cared for not only by Anastasia but by forest animals. They clean him, wash him, feed him. An eagle takes the baby for an aerial flight. Seriously? You can get angry and throw the book away, or read on.
Megre struggles to understand his role as a father. He had brought toys, games for intellectual stimulation, even nappies only to discover that in the Taiga, they’re all redundant. He wants to bring the child back to civilization but Anastasia insists that he is where he belongs – in her space, the Space of Love.
He asks, “What can I give my son?”
She replies, “The links of the continuum have been violated in many people’s lives. But the strand is not broken. The strand that ties humanity as a whole and every creature in particular to the Creator needs to be comprehended and felt by each, and then to each may be extended light and might. Vladimir, expand the Space of Love. Right there in the world where you live, create a Space of Love. For the sake of our son, for all the children of the Earth, make the whole Earth into a Space of Love.”
“I don’t understand. What do you want from me? To change the whole Earth?”
“That is exactly what I want.”
She's serious!
Change begins with correct education of children --- hardly a novel concept. But what she proposes is revolutionary, along the lines Tekos school, in the Caucasian forest. A school built by the children, it’s where they learn together with very little adult input, using only thought, observation, feeling and intuition. The school may have commonalities with schools founded by the philosopher J. Krishnamurti, where freedom of thought and exploration are encouraged over conformity and conditioning. Where inner exploration of oneself is as important as the outer.
Despite impossible odds, such as would strain the credulity of every reader, Anastasia is not deterred. She denounces Nostradamus and other prophets of doom as liars, and asserts that she the pristine Man is stronger than they. She will defeat them. The End of the World is cancelled, not postponed. The dark prophecies will not come to pass but The Good will prevail.
It’s an astonishing message of hope, one that in this time of despondency and alienation needs to be heard. After finishing the book, you'll want to believe her.
Imagine children in an environment that encourages exploration and tuning in to their own intuition and creative impulse. From ideas of possibilities and the connection we all have to nature and the wisdom of trees, this book is pure love and inspiration. Read it to awaken the inner child in you. Reading this book, I was reminded of why I started to home school my children in 1996. After an experience with an elementary school teacher who told me there was no time to go to a museum that was related to a book the children were reading because they had to spend weeks studying for the standardized testing. My wish for my children was to have a space of creativity and to cultivate an environment for life long learning and a connection to their innate wisdom. And that is what we created. It is never too late to connect to your wisdom. Read the book and be ignited!
Each volume in this series adds profound, crucial information on the journey of the spirit. To me she is still unparalleled and the world and evolutionary knowledge for my understanding and spiritual progress are more precious to me than anything else out there.
More fascinating insights to education, child-rearing, mans place in the universe. I'm still not sure what to make of Anastasia but I can't get enough.
I enjoyed this book. However I wish more pages were devoted to talking about practical steps you can take to practice Anastasia's vision. Anastasia will often talk about the outcome of her dreams, but never talks about what you can do. Or if she does talk about it, it's very vague or metaphorical. Anastasia said she was different then all these religious leaders who claim to be "the one", but then she said a speech that said something like, "Come to me." And, as in all the books, there are some things that happen that honestly are really hard to imagine. However, I can look past that. I still enjoyed the book, and am looking forward to reading the next one.
this is book 3. This book was a lot about the importance of Love in the World. Love to our Heavenly Father and love to family and friends. True love. Talks about become closer to God and the great power and influence he can have on us and the influence for good that we can have. That we all can have more power for good. Also about our attitudes for everything. Do we wake up happy, do we try to be happy and to make others happy. Anastasia just wants Vlamire to love her that part is kind of sad you can see this.
This is the third book in the Ringing Cedar Series. The Space of Love especially deals with child rearing by allowing a child to learn through its own conscious awareness, talks about the most enlightened school I have yet to hear about and interesting for me also how mediumship works. Read and enjoy! I resonated with all the principles being mentioned!
This book ties the series together a little more coherently. It anchors the tale in a site-specific way that has been missing. Still don't feel that I have the entire message though.
