There's a demon army standing between Wyn and the gate to her mother's realm. Problem is, she has no idea how to fight them. One day is all she has to learn. One lesson with each of her Guardians. That's all she gets.
***A new episode will be released every 2-3 weeks. Five of them will be bundled together at the end (likely in October) for those who enjoy longer books so they can read it in one go. ***
Skye MacKinnon is a USA Today & International Bestselling Author whose books are filled with strong heroines who don't have to choose.
She embraces her Scottishness with fantastical Scottish settings and a dash of mythology, no matter if she's writing about Celtic gods, cat shifters, or the streets of Edinburgh.
When she's not typing away at her favourite cafe, Skye loves dried mango, as much exotic tea as she can squeeze into her cupboards, and being covered in pet hair by her tiny black cat (who's secretly a demon).
It wasn't as good as the previous two. While the writing is still good and the story is easy to read, not much actually happened here and what did happen did not make much sense. I still cannot get a real grip on the guy's personalities and that starts to annoy me a little. The ending was confusing, I did not fully understand what happened and didn't actually realize that it was over at first. I was like "wait, that's it?". So, yeah. I hope that the next one will be better. Maybe they'll even get to the realm at last (doubtful though).
In this episode, Wynter and her Guardians have to prepare to fight their way to the other realm. Each guardian spends time training her. We have some humor, some steamy scenes, some danger and a little but of sadness. So much packed into this serial!
I love that we got to see more or Wyn's powers as she spends time with the guardians and prepares for battle. We get to meet Chesca the Demon. I'm already anxiously waiting the next installment!
Like Skyes other books i have been waiting impatiently for the next installment in this serial and its finally here!!! This installment of the serial threw you right back into the story, we had previously left Wyn when she and her super hot guardians realize their only logical portal home was surrounded by some not so nice looking demons.
This book follows Wyn's crash course in her powers; each guardian has something to teach her, and as per usual in Wyn's life it doesnt go as smoothly or as gracefully as planned. I loved that she was so eager to get in and learn to control her powers, not to mention the physical closeness that she gets to experience with each of the men.
The guardians, what can i say about them that does them justice? Well you have Arc, as per usual he is a sexy Scot in a kilt and my god his intensity and playfulness gets me every time. He is just so good at getting Wyn to respond to him and her powers. I just want Arc to myself! Storm; the intense leader of the group, his mood swings are giving me whiplash but i think that is just him trying to reconcile how he feels. Frost, wow, Frost in this book just look the opportunities given to him and ran with it. The lake scene, my god that was hot! Crispin is still a bit of a mystery to me, i love that we got to learn more about his past in this book and my heart absolutely broke for him. He is just so reserved, so when his facade finally breaks, its going to be epic.
Chesca, the demon. What an equally interesting and frustrating character all rolled up into one package; at times i wanted to throttle her, and then i wanted to just give her a hug because you can tell she is trying to hard to fight her nature. I cannot wait to see more of friendship develop with Wyn.
All in all this installment was absolutely epic, and i need part 4 now please skye!!!
Anytime you put Wyn with one of her guardians for a little one on one time you can expect a little chaos, mayhem maybe even a few scorch marks teehee
Skye delivered all of that and more. Although I've gotta say...the constant interruptions to and disasters befalling Wyn just seem like a cosmic joke at this point lmao poor girl.
Throw in a Chesca (RH community is having a blast with that one ha!) with what MUST be borderline personality disorder (no seriously...Skye it's BPD right?) and you've got a grand ol' time coming your way. Really though, her boo must have the patience of a God himself 😂
Lastly it was really great to see Wyn coming into herself and her powers a little more even if it was under such intense pressure and time constraints. **Thank you angry horde of demons we left off at in book 2 😐**
Now with all the good things I've said I still feel that I must admit there was something....missing. I tried pin pointing it. I really did, I even read it over 2 more times to find it but there was nothing truly specific that I could nail down. That in and of itself is driving me crazy. I was just unable to feel completely satisfied with this installment. I got pulled out of the story once or twice but I dived back in. It's not that I didn't adore the book, I did, I truly did, but it wasn't my favorite. That title seems to still be held by the second installment. I will STILL follow Wyn and her guardians till the end I'm hoping that more action will give things that spark again for me :)
I have to say this serial has it all!! I am loving it!!
Well written, it has awesome characters, a fantastic storyline packed with action, adventure and my god the humour!! Episode three picks up where two finished. Our beautiful heroine and her gorgeous guardians have made it to the stones, but now the danger gets even more real. With hordes of demons awaiting them at the stones, crossing is going to be a bit difficult especially with an untrained Demi goddess to protect.
However, with the help of some new friends (I use that term loosely) they have a place to stay while they figure things out and train the princess. She has one lesson with each of her guardians before they have to go into battle.
With a couple of awesome new characters, humour (come on this is Wyn!) this episode is not to be missed. We also get to learn more about the 4 gorgeous guardians, we get to know them better and find out where they come from and more about their powers. We also get to see the chemistry increase and feelings grow between them and Wyn.
I absolutely adore this serial, I look forward to receiving each episode with eager anticipation, Skye's style of writing and wit make this such an enjoyable read I recommend this book (and series) very highly, everyone needs some of Skye MacKinnons magic in their life
Wyn and her Guardians prepare for battle. The gate at the stones is blocked by forces that she will need to use her magic to get by. Her magic, those abilities that seem to backfire on her periodically. Each of the guys teaches her how to use one of her elements but what happens as she learns is where the real magic happens. As well as just a touch of mayhem, because, well, it's Wyn. Oh, and add in a demoness with a constantly changing personality, who tries to be good but is better at being bad, and the Guardian she is in love with and our little band of magic troopers has grown in interesting ways. I'm thoroughly enjoying this series. The charm, mystery and fun involved keeps you coming back for the next book, and the next. And Wyn and the gang haven't even made it to the God Realm yet!
Book 3 sees Wyn and her delicious guardians at Calanais and are confronted by demons. Now, they have to get through to the other realm through a hoard of demons. She trains with each guardian in order to be able to fight. . . but will she be strong enough?
In this book we get more of an insight into her new supernatural world, along with a little bit more into a couple of the guardians which was really nice. I liked getting to know them a bit more.
Now I want more pop, sizzle and a lot of heat. . . I really hope Skye brings it in the next one, because she is driving me crazy (in a good way) with all these little teasers of what is surely to come . . . I need the full thing and I need it now!
It's really starting to get good! There are demons blocking them from getting to Wyn mothers realm. They'll need to fight. The only problem? Wyn doesn't have control or know HOW to use her powers. But her men will help her train and get ready for the biggest fight of her life. And not all demons are bad, or well completely. And Chesca is hilarious. This episode was funny witty and we learn more about magic. And things get steamier between Wyn and her guardians. Yay!
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review
The story is getting more intense and more intimate
Loving this series! Now that Wyn and her Guardians have formed a bond, they're ready to head to the Realm of the Gods. But apparently, whoever is after Wyn has different plans. There is an army of demons waiting for them to cross. So Wyn has one day to try to get her magic controlled so she can help fight the demons, and training isn't going so well. So we'll see how it goes in book 4. Can't wait! Sky does such a good job with the character development that you just become invested in them so quickly. Love that!
Winter Princess just keeps delivering! This third episode see's Wyn exploring her newfound powers with her hunky loveable guradians - and it's fantastic! We start to learn more about what drives these amazing characters, flaws and all, which just makes it that much better. New characters are introduced and we're left waiting to see how this grand adventure will transpire next. In my opinion the next installment is just too far away!
This installment has Wyn practicing her different powers with each of the guys. I'm interested to see if she learns enough from these short lessons to make an impact when trying to get through the stones.
We learned a little more about the guys and what they specialize in and some tidbits from their past.
Overall, this was a good 3rd part of the book. This is a serial, it ends on a cliffhanger and it IS worth the read!
Love love love it! I feel like Wyn is my best friend and we're on an adventure together. I've always been team Arc but I'm starting to jump on the Frost bandwagon but then again #whychoose right?? I love Chesca and everything about her. I'm also glad Wyn is starting to find her voice and isn't just along for the right. Ready for the next one!!

The third installment does not disappoint! Wyn and her Guardians are gearing up for war, and we get to spend extra time with each guardian as the teach her how to use her powers. I can't wait to the next installment!
A demon army stands in the way of Wyn and the guys. They decide that they should train Wyn for a day before they fight them.
This one lost some steam for me. I'm starting to get really irritated by the fact that they are always giggling and laughing at things that aren't funny.
I loved the continuation of Wyn's story. This series is one of my favorites so far! I liked how she got more connected with her guardians & how they prepared for battle. I can't wait to read the next installment!
Loved it! Wyn continues to slay me with her hysterical inner monologue. The Guardians are super yummy and who could blame a Demi-Goddess for being distracted? Cannot wait for the next episode! Love the introduction of a female demon. Very original!
Holy hotness! This is the third book in the serial. Wyn gets one magic from each of her guardians . This is where the books start to get steamy. I can't wait to read the next installment.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Great read!! Love how this story is progressing!! Leaves you anticipating the next one.
I started this series on a rainy day last week and read 1-4 in one sitting as i could not put them down. loved the characters from start to finish and cant wait for more to come.
This third installment was amazingggg!!! In this one she learns how to control her powers and is taught by yes sexy as hell Scottish men *swoon* they're may be a demon name Chesca who helps too 😉 fall in love with me and buy now!!!
Magic of Winter is the third episode in the Winter Princess serial. We pick up where episode two ended with their path to the demon realm blocked by demons. So the Guardians take a slight detour so they can train Wyn to protect herself. Each Guardian spends time training her in their element. which gives us some humour, some steamy scenes, some danger and a little sadness too. We get to see some more of her powers and what she might be able to be able to do as they prepare for battle. We also meet Chesca the Demon a great character that I hope we get to see more of. I really am enjoying this serial and can't wait for more.
