2,5 "blurred lines" stars
After some consideration, I have to admit I still don't find it any satisfying then I was at stage one when I wrote "this is a messed up ruckus...i dont even know where to start...it makes no sense to me right now"
First of all, i need to state clear that I find the writing good and solid, I however, found the story in this novella lacking on the basic theme of storytelling, It sounded appealing in the blurb, giving away a little bit of a mystery and angst BUT this story turned out to be anything but.
I didn't really like the characters, made no relations nor connections with them...
So the H is an actress and model, living with her boyfrend of three years, but she doesn't feel anything more for him other than convenience and the benefit for her career image. She's in fact in a lust/desire kinda relationship with her step-brother. So when she comes to his birthday party, she finds him masturbating to her picture and she indulges in to her own arousal and desire. BUT they are caught in the middle of sex by her step-brother's friends, more precisely 5 of them, all of them being in lust with our heroine.
and what they do, is they blackmail her to destroy her image and career, by giving away the "secret" - her sex relations to her step-bro, if she doesn't make them quiet in the only way acceptable to them...and well, I don't need to write it down for you to get the point right?!
and then what transpires out of it is a gangbang, threesomes, even MM, you name it...all being conducted from the point when she first agrees to one thing, but then they want more, she first says "no" but then realizes that she likes it and then well, she enjoys it even more... now, that oart for me, was a little bit tricky and I didn't find it neither pleasurable or sustainable, or justifyable...
what I disliked even more, was the neverending to an ending...there's no ending...well, at least not the one I would like to know to conclude the story with or even better, to somehow explain, or make clear the events that happened to our heroine, or maybe even find the "meaning" or "purpose" to it all, other than being just a part of a huge fuckin orgy...
don't get me wrong, if an orgy takes place in the book, my, oh my, I have no objections....but I really think that the orgy itself can't hold the substance of the story without having some sort of explainatory, meaningful introduction, premise, culmination and conclusion...otherwise, it could have been just a sequence from a porn movie.
But as I said, the writing is good, therefore I am not being a bitch either.

THERE SHOULD BE A WARNING IN THE SYSNOPSIS FOR THIS BOOK.
The only reason I am leaving this review is because I feel if the author can’t warn their readers then I will. I hate leaving low rated reviews, it breaks my heart because I know the blood, sweat and tears authors put into their books.
I will not spoil the book for those who want to read it because there is a population of readers that will LOVE this book, but I feel that for the sake of readers who try to avoid triggering sexual issues when they buy a book, this one should have had a warning. I even went back and checked the link twice to make sure I didn’t miss the author giving a heads up to those readers who try to avoid such topics.
If you are looking for a book with substance in the plot, character development and consistency, you won’t find it here. I had to check a few times to confirm this story was based in California, because the characters and writing had a England feel to it, by the way they talked and the writing style. If you are looking for a plot, you will find a hint of it in the first 20 pages or so, after that you will get into the triggering situations which will continue till the end of the book. This disappointed me because I could tell this author has talent, but it felt like they depend on sex to sell the book and not their talent to develop the plot and keep the reader engaged.
I am certainly not a prude, I was excited to hear it had taboo topics and I am known to be a huge fan of the dark reads, but this one didn’t fit with the synopsis we were given.

I love this series. It's unreal.. It's m/f... M/m.. Menage.. Stepbrother.. Gang orgies.. It's just wow.. And it's a read I would never have expected, truly did blow me away.. I know you are probably thinking, well there are a lot of those types of books out there, yes, but it’s all about quality. I love L. M. Mountford books because it’s not always about the steam, don’t me wrong, it’s VERY nice, but I really like how she develops the characters and creates a story that is not conventional and completely addictive to read.

I will start this review out by saying...Mina...you are a very naughty girl! Mina is a young early twenties actress/model who finds herself in a difficult situation...she's in a relationship with an actor who seems to be everything she wants, but there's someone else...her stepbrother. This love-triangle is what I thought the book might be about based on the blurb, but oh...there was some unexpected twists! The blurb very clearly states there might be some triggers so I personally don't understand the upset with some other reviews but that is my own personal opinion. Readers be warned-there is definitely trigger content, adult content, and strong sexual content! I can't say I was shocked at the content of this book and partly that was due to the revealing reviews. For me, I am rating this book 4 stars because it fits the genre the book is categorized in, which is erotica. It is definitely that...without a doubt...not contemporary romance...so don't pick it up thinking that's what it is. :-) It was extremely sexy, provocative, and made you think...am I really reading this and enjoying it? As for the things I didn't like about it, I felt that it needed more plot and character development. I came away feeling as though I didn't really know the main characters or anything about their history nor where their future was headed, especially after the event that takes place in the book. I also felt that particular event took up too much time in the book...taking nearly 65% of the book. While it was well-written, maybe it was overdone and I hoped to have had more take place other than this major event. There were also times I questioned the connection between Mina and her stepbrother. There wasn't a lot of information given as to why they had this connection, just a brief recollection, so I believe more character development about the two of them would have helped the readers connect with them more and perhaps would make Mina more likable. Around the 80% mark, what occurred was also a little confusing for me and and made me question the reason for the scene. Again, the majority of the book centered around erotica- which is the genre, and this is fine for me, but perhaps this became a little much and the plot got left behind. If you are fan of erotic books and taboo reads though, this is the book for you!

The Lord of lust brings you a steamy stepbrother/stepsister romance with lots of steam and tabooness amongst other things. Highly recommend if you like dark undertones with your stories.

Holy shit!! that was a hades-level hot read!! OMG, seriously, Mark, then the gangbang and then Daniel and Mark, I didn't want it to end. What a delicious cliff-hanger of her and Mark in the shower. *sigh* I really hope there will there be more to their story!! There are a few scenes that can be a bit much if you don't like forced or group sex, but all in all, geez was that an insanely hot read!!

This book is definitely not for the faint of heart but it is oh so HOT!!! This book had everything going for it hot scenes, forbidden, twists, surprises, sex, sex, and more sex of every coupling or position. There are so parts of this book that might make it hard for some people to read but I thought that the author did a important job when there were some warnings for this book. I am definitely adding this author and his characters to my must read again list. Shame of you naughty Mina, but more power to you. I loved this book from the first page until the ending? Thank you for allowing me to read this and write about it honestly.

This book is one of the HOTTEST books I have ever read , I don't know where to start but this author deserves more credit than he gets . I don't give spoilers but get the cold showers ready or something ..lol I would like to see this story continue more please ! You won't be disappointed . A real treat . The lord of Lust wow 🫠😆🤭🫣To capture a quote directly from the novella “random and chaotic”. That is just what I finished reading. Very little plot some non con and con situation. Mina is an actress and is going to drop by to celebrate her step brothers birthday. She gets caught in a compromising situation with her step brother and his 5 friends blackmail her and what you get is a whole lot of action and it’s a lot. The novella is left very open ended. I enjoyed reading Uncovered it was a quick read that honestly was just what I needed.

This was a spicy spicy read! Reverse harem with a step sibling. Lots of FMMMM content. Pretty much the whole book. It had an intriguing plot but was mostly smut. Which makes for a good palate cleanser in a sense, if you use dark romance as a palate cleanser that is. Quick fun read for me.

It's not often a book catches me completely off guard, but this one did. I was asked to read in exchange for an honest review.
The book starts off great. It grabs my interest pretty much from the get-go. Mina is famous, and living with her producer boyfriend. She's getting ready to go to her step-brother birthday party.
The relationship between Mina and Mark is quickly discovered to be a taboo one, and yes it's hot. The forbidden always is. But then it takes a turn and here is where my interest sort of lost interest. I finished the book, because I rarely DNF.
The story goes from good to eh, because after chapter 2 it's all sex. Now I have no problem with sex scenes, and the ones in this book are good. There are some that border in-consensual, so that could offend or trigger someone. I think this book had such great potential. I really would have loved to see more actual dialog than the usual naughty pillow talk that went on.
Overall, if you're looking for a highly sex-filled book, then you might like book.

This was the first book I've read by this author. The sex scenes were HOT, if you can look past the fact that she has sex with her stepbrother that she's grown up with. But that's all I can say for this book was the sex was hot. Mina participated in her first gang-bang and she, albeit reluctantly, enjoyed it. She only agrees to protect Mark, her stepbrother, from being exposed from the sex tape of them.
If you are looking for a book with very little plot or character development with off the charts steamy sex then this is the book for you. 3.5 stars.

They're things in this book that I wasn't exactly comfortable with. I struggle thru most of it especially towards the end. This was a hot little number. This definietly has a verity of sexy sex scenes. Step siblings, MMF Menage, group sex. Mina is being blackmailed after having getting caught sleeping with her brother and things spiril out of control from there. I did find this story to purly erotica. The story line is quick with not a whole lot of back story. If your looking for a quick sexy read. Then this is the book for you.

Confessions was a steamy, quick read for me. The blurb provides the gist of the story, but there is much more action in the book. If you're looking for a book with infatuation instead of love, steam instead of romance, then this is the book for you. I finished this book in one night and enjoyed it.

The story was based in CA USA, but the main character and her family were from England. It wasn’t completely clear if the background characters were also English or American; the writing didn’t change for them.

This is my book review of Uncovered by L.M. Mountford. This is my first time reading a book by Mountford. This was recommended to me in a Facebook group.
Summary:
The story is in third person voice so we get a good bird’s eye view of what all the characters are doing. The story focuses on Mina Carrington, actress and model, leaving her live-in boyfriend at home to attend her younger step brother, Mark’s, birthday party. She happens upon a group of misfits and her brother’s best childhood friend, Daniel when she gets there. Once Mina finds Mark in his bedroom touching himself, she throws all of their original promises and rules of “never again” out the window and pounces on him - “With Mark, there were no illusions, no promises, and she didn’t have to play a character from a script or meet the public’s impossible expectations. She only had to be herself, if only for these brief moments, and he would accept her for better or worse, never judging her, only loving her as only he could.” What Mina doesn’t know is the elaborately constructed plan by the misfits and Daniel to get her upstairs and in a compromising situation with Mark.
The misfits find her and decide to blackmail her with recordings of her and Mark together. They promise to delete the videos if she performs sexual acts on them. She agrees and this throws the story into a repeated loop of orgy/gangbang behavior.
Character Analysis:
Mina - incapable of saying how she feels when it’s a deep emotion; lives a superficial life but isn’t superficial; has moments of insecurity especially when people expect her to present herself as someone that she is not.
Conflict:
The conflict is Mina and her step brother caught during an intimate romp together. Then Mina is assaulted repeatedly until she starts to convince herself that she likes it and is indeed a slut. During this gangbang she has an awakening of kinks that were laid dormant, but she lets them take over with these strangers while they assault her.
Spice Level:
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️: A lot of sex scenes and not a slow burn. The scenes were very long and heavily described.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, this was a short read with lots of erotic spice. Mina uncovered a lot about herself during this gangbang and decides that she won’t hate herself for it.

Well you may go into this thinking its just going to be another taboo stepsibling story but it soon turns into something else entirely so be warned before choosing.
Saying there is graphic sexual content is right but really there should be more of a trigger warning on this as its not just intense sex. Even though things may seem consensual at first it doesn’t always start that way and it’s a very fine line being crossed between what happens to how she reacts after. Her limits are being tested in every sense of the words.
How far would you go to protect a secret coming out that would cause pain to those you love? In Mina’s case she’d do anything, when confronted by men who would blackmail her you see its put to the test. So even though Mina has had a steady boyfriend for the past three years, who she lives with, she still lusts after her younger stepbrother. I think in some ways her father knows this as he makes a point of saying they are stepsiblings. So when he’s back from college to celebrate his 21st birthday at their parents’ house Mina intends to drop his present off and leave, if she can find him that is. Things seem to be against her though because first she gets cornered by Daniel – someone she used to baby-sit – who with a heated look makes her feel all hot and bothered. Then four other guys walk in looking a bit too leery for my liking to inform her where Mark is. Up at his room and she catches him in a compromising position naked while looking at her picture. Just seeing this makes her want him and even though they said last time would be the last time they can’t seem to help themselves. This is a problem as while they were going at it they didn’t realise they were being filmed. Now confronted with blackmail it’s clear what they might want. She may feel disgusted with herself but after a while she is too aroused to care (something I’m not too sure I would believe would happen). Well to a point and then the game changes and so does the feel of this. Its abuse in every sense of the word no matter how she may act and with what happens after you may question her sanity.
Now the writing was good up until that point and the story had flow. I almost feel like one whole section could have been removed (if you’ve read it you will know which part I mean) and it focus more on what happens later with Mark, Daniel and Mina. From the blurb that’s kind of the vibe you think it is going to be about. That could have been a better direction for the story, one I might have liked more, rather than making it darker with everything else that goes on. It’s a bit hard to give a rating as it wasn’t quite what I was expecting and I’m still a little on the fence.

Then four other guys walk in looking a bit too leery for my liking to inform her where Mark is. Up at his room and she catches him in a compromising position naked while looking at her picture. Just seeing this makes her want him and even though they said last time would be the last time they can’t seem to help themselves. This is a problem as while they were going at it they didn’t realise they were being filmed. Now confronted with blackmail it’s clear what they might want. She may feel disgusted with herself but after a while she is too aroused to care (something I’m not too sure I would believe would happen). Well to a point and then the game changes and so does the feel of this. Its abuse in every sense of the word no matter how she may act and with what happens after you may question her sanity.
Now the writing was good up until that point and the story had flow. I almost feel like one whole section could have been removed (if you’ve read it you will know which part I mean) and it focus more on what happens later with Mark, Daniel and Mina. From the blurb that’s kind of the vibe you think it is going to be about. That could have been a better direction for the story, one I might have liked more, rather than making it darker with everything else that goes on. It’s a bit hard to give a rating as it wasn’t quite what I was expecting and I’m still a little on the fence.

Having first met L.M. Mountford through his Dark Inferno pen-name (if you missed my review of Play Time, be sure to check it out), I knew he had the literary chops to write a story, and the imagination to pull off the erotic aspects. What I didn't realize was how adept he would be at exploring the dark side of some very taboo relationships . . . which is precisely what Uncovered is all about.
The opening of this is strong, introducing us to Mina, and giving us a glimpse of just how far from glamorous the life of a Hollywood starlet can be. She's overworked and abused, the kind of woman who could be a poster child for the #MeToo movement - although the book predates that by a year or two. As she heads off to wish her step-brother a happy birthday, we get a glimpse into her past, and we begin to understand why she is so troubled.
This is hardly a spoiler alert, since it's heavily teased in the cover blurb, but the entire story hinges on inappropriate relationships, both past and present. There is some verbal and physical domination on Mina's part, threats of blackmail by her step-brother's friends, a sexual assault, and even some coerced moments of bisexuality. The story really does border on the edges of darkness, with scenes that are certain to be triggering for some readers, but Mountford walks a fine line. He allows Mina to enjoy the physical aspects, while in the moment, but doesn't shy from acknowledging her emotional shame and mental anguish after the fact.
The only thing Uncovered is lacking, which would really give it the impact it deserves, is an exploration of the consequences of that night. We get some hints as to what might happen, what Mina fears, and what she holds dearest . . . and he does address the fact that memories are not as easily erased as videos . . . but given the dubious consent issues, I would have liked a little more closure.

Where do I even begin?! Well, obviously I didn’t like this book since I couldn’t finish reading it. What bothered me most was the way it was written and how the female character was portrayed. The slow pace was so tiring and I got more and more frustrated with each long sentence and description of every tiny thing. It was just too detailed and drawn out.
It took the main character, Mina – who was the epitome of every man’s fantasy and a model of course – what felt like forever to get to her stepbrother’s birthday party, let alone to find him, just to drop off her present.
One of the weirdest things happening in those first 30% was her lifting her shirt and flashing her tits to her boyfriend after he confessed his love. Couldn’t she at least acknowledge his words when she wasn’t able to say it back?! What a heartless b*tch. It was indicated that he proposed to her what seemed like more than once before and she always rejected him. Fair enough if he wanted to keep getting hurt because she wasn’t even faithful to him. So, why were they still together? And really, what was wrong with her?!
Apart from the exaggerated detailing I disliked the female character right from the start. Mina reminded me of a Barbie and seemed like every man’s wet dream because the guys all leered after her. Ugh. But then, for all her attitude, she was seriously embarrassed and wanted to hide because a girl wanted her autograph, though on the other hand she almost confronted strangers on the street for cat calling her. It just didn’t fit together.
At her stepbrother’s party she stumbled over a guy she once babysat and they flirted shamelessly. Forgotten was her boyfriend waiting at home. Could it get any worse? Apparently. Because let me tell you that when it came to the part where she cheated on her boyfriend with her stepbrother, I was done. I just couldn’t deal with any more and gave up. This may not be a problem for you if you’re into cheating but in this case it drew the line for me.
To sum it up and put it mildly, the story couldn’t hold my attention and wasn’t for me, so I didn’t see any point in reading it just for the sake of getting through. That’s why I had to stop already at about 33%. This is absolutely a matter of personal taste and opinion so please don't take offense of my review.
There’s actually a review from ‘Snow’ which is very accurate, at least of what I know from the book. Read it and you’ll know what you should before diving into this story, especially when you’re unsure if you should read this book.

I was given this book as an advanced copy of an updated edition. This short book commences with the potential to develop into a longer more intricately descriptive storyline that could potentially build to explore what occurs and the wider ripple effect on the FMC to the other characters involved. However, that being said the story commences with hinting that there is more than a step-sibling relationship at the heart of the storyline, which quickly provides the reader with a deeper insight as to where this may progress. Mina (FMC) arrives to give her step-brother his birthday gift, but things take a turn in events ending in a blackmailing sexfest (including some non-consenual, M/F & MM activities). This sexfest is lengthy, but well written with explicit descriptive detail, although all of this predominantly consumes any plot / storyline for the rest of the book, which is disappointing you are left with wanting to know the wider impact of it all. Not sure if I would read it again which is my usual marker for a good book, although given 4 it is predominantly for the descriptive well written scenes.

Mina is a girl who is in love with the one man she cant really have her step brother Mark, she visits him on his birthday and things get hot and heavy between them, she is blackmailed by a group of his friends to do sexual favours as she is a world famous model and actress .
I really do feel that this book needs more of a trigger warning as what I thought I would be reading is a book about a woman who gives in to her deeper darker desires but what I read came across as more of a gang rape than a gang bang. I know that it says Mina eventually comes to like what is happening to her but I don't think that is how it's really perceived by a reader.
There is a lot of graphic sex and I like reading dirty books but felt there was a little to much and not enough backstory to keep it interesting.
I just wish that this had been more of a hot and steamy story of a woman getting her fantasies fulfilled but alas it didnt come across like that for me.

I know not everyone out there enjoys reading these type of stories, so do pay attention to the warning in the blurb.
Uncovered’s storyline was a bit on the loose side. But honestly, when you are in the mood for something highly erotic, the storyline isn’t the main reason you read the book. I enjoy many different types of books. Sometimes, I’m in the mood for an emotional story. Other times, I enjoy a paranormal or motorcycle club romance. I also enjoy really steamy books, and this is definitely one!
So, if you are looking for a panty melting, really naughty story, this is the one for you!

"Uncovered" is a spicy, salacious read that had me on the edge of my seat! L. M. Mountford has woven a tale that delves deep into the complexities of love and desire, the lengths one might go to for those they care about.
Mina Carring's story is captivating and taboo all at once. A Hollywood rising star, her love encounters have been so far just that-encounters. But her feelings for her stepbrother, Mark, add a tantalizing layer to the narrative. The tension between them is palpable, and I found myself drawn into their world of scandal and hidden desires.
