How far are you willing to go for your love? Your life is messed up but you know this is all for love and love is for brave hearts. This is a story of love and fights to win your love. A love story of Neil and Gauri living a life of comfort and love and like any other love story, this story too has their share of bitterness, arguments and some secrets.

This is a Book1 of romantic thriller Trilogy. The next upcoming title in Messed Up series is ‘The Girl on My Side’. You have a fair chance to read it before the next part came which is a prequel to this book. The book is a breezy read. It’s a love story recommended for the lovers of this genre. The pace of the story is good except at few places the Hindi dialogues and song lyrics breaks the rhythm. They are like a small pause not needed at all. I find it good for a one time read. It’s a smooth and simple read.

opening of entirely I would like to merit Mr. Aravind Parashar sir for the amazing put your name down for nearby to novel lovers. As it is a romantic fiction I loved the charge exceptionally much.

The charge shell is delightful and gorgeous look.

Title of the put your name down for is give good reason for the story.

Neil and Gauri in the past they were top connect but independent straight to Gauri misgiving on Neil with Drishti, whom they met in Cuba. gear happens were crooked against Neil and looks like candour as time passes. Now the bond between Neil and Gauri became boring. He likes Drishti but he additionally be devoted to his wife. Gauri is especially possisive about Neil.
First precursor of danger establish what time a aerobics studio guide Srinya enters his life. This article is the bottom Foundation of doubts in Gauri's mentality and rapidly their nuptials time is untaken to sour. Does every one of gear class out at the end? Who is open to defer in Neil animation forever? To be on familiar terms with extra about it now some time ago energy through the book.
I would suggest this hardback to completely manuscript lovers.

Messed up! But all for love by Aravind Parashar, is an romantic thriller. It is an good read with romance to soothe and thriller to cope up your mind.

About the story, It is pretty usual I'm not neglecting the story but its seems as an usual romantic story with little twists and turns. Neil and Gauri both were a best couples once who have separated because of doubting of Gauri which is Neil with Drishti whom they met at Cuba unknowingly but the things happens were turned against him and looks like truth at that time. How they both got together and what were happened at Neil's happy life, what were the series of happenings which turned his life is the remaining story..

The plot is pretty much usual we seen many times but the narration is good with fast paced. The characterizations were also good.

The cover is eye catchy and the blurb is also increasing the hype to read the novel.

Overall, Messed up! But all for love is good light read, best suits for romantic readers and I recommend to all the romantic readers only.

My rating - 3.5/5.

People fall in love. Then marry. After the initial honeymoon period the spark starts to die down. It is more prevalent in urban upper middle class couples who are financially well off. They get stuck in a rut and rat race to make money. The relationship becomes boring and one or both starts to stray. This is the basis of this novel.

Neil and Gauri is one such couple. Neil is a senior executive and Gauri is a dentist. They are a loving couple and Gauri is very possessive of Neil. Gauri is caring, beautiful, sexy, romantic and dedicated to her work. First sign of trouble starts when a svelte gym trainer Srinya enters his life. This sows the first seeds of doubt in Guari’s mind and first crack in their ideal marriage. The other couple Som, a DCP and Drishti, TV anchor is having trouble in their marriage already. Som is a known arrogant philanderer and Drishti is not happy. When Neil and Drishti come into contact in Cuba and then all hell breaks loose. Rest of the story is about the twists and turns in the lives of Gauri, Neil and Drishti.

Language of book is Hinglish and that goes very well with the mood. Some lines of H. R. Bachchan “Madhushala” are also thrown in for good effect. The pace is brisk and unrelenting. Location keeps changing from Gurgaon to Bankok, Tashkent, Havana etc. The main subject of romance and extra-marital affair is serious. Still it has humor, mystery and thrills too, which keeps the interest alive. There are many colorful supporting characters: Mehr, Tom, Jerry, Jasoos etc.
The book has some steamy scenes.

The language gets very crass sometimes. The story is dragged at some points and some tight editing would have been better.

Recommendation and rating

Recommended to all whom like romance, humor and thrills. I give 4/ 5 stars to the book.

Doubt thou the stars are fire;
Doubt that the sun doth move;
Doubt truth to be a liar;
But never doubt I love.
- William Shakespeare

With such lines opening the novel, you can never fail being gripped to the story. This story is about the love life of Neil and Gauri, after their marriage. It is not just the charming love, but the love they hold firm past facing so many ups and downs in life. Neil gets into a number of troubles and fights to come out of them, realizing his mistakes, to prove his love for Gauri.

The story has said both about love and friendship, with love at its depth. Main plot takes course with Neil as the protagonist, who tells about his life, from his point of view. The sub-plots are driven with the main characters such as Gauri, Sriyani, Tom, Jerry, James, Mehr, Drishti, Somesh and Antriksha with whom the plot takes a sharp turn. Yet, the plot travels towards one conclusion.

You are living a happy life and suddenly you feel everything beside you is falling apart. You are put into the situation where you lose the love of your life and then you find that it is a well and pre-planned play to make you suffer. Same happens with Neil and he is completely messed up! But all for love…

The author Arvind Parashar has given the story a simple language with so much variations including the crisp of thrill, the joy of friendship, a mistake of choice, a touch of crime but then the clasp of love. Being a subjective narration, it is easy for the readers to put into the shoes of the protagonist. The rise and fall of situations in the story will keep you entertained and the last few pages of the tale will make you wonder like “what the hell has just happened?” Also, the tail of this story is the head of the second novel! Pretty excited to read the next one.

Messed Up! But all for love is a realistic and interesting second novel written by Arvind Parashar.

This book was interesting and I was hooked to the story. The book ends with positive notes and teaches us a few things about love.

Book Title and Cover- The Title is interesting and appropriate with the book. It gives us insight about the content. The Cover is not-attractive and could be improved.
The Blurb is short, crisp and interesting.

Language and Narration- The Language of the book is simple and easy to comprehend. Narration is done well and it is in first person narrative. Editing is done quiet well and the book is without any grammatical mistakes.

Characterization- All the characters are interesting  and author have done well to build the characters and their emotions as the story continues.
Other characters are also well portrayed.

Theme- Theme of the book is Love, Saving a sinking relationship as the title suggests. It also includes friendship, thriller and love.

Storyline and Plot-As I said earlier, the story is interesting. The Story pace is slow for a few pages but it increases pace after that and events happen one after the other quickly.

However, Plot is common with most of the romance thrillers, this book gives us an engaging storyline, a good ending, interesting characters and a few important life lessons.

Rating-
Book Title and Cover- 3/5
Language and Narration- 4/5
Characterization- 4/5
Storyline and Plot- 3/5

Final Rating- 3.5/5

Arvind Parashar's latest work Messed Up! But all For Love is a story about love lost between two couples and themselves being tested by their own destiny.

Set in modern India, the story is about a couple, Gauri and Neil who used to lead a happily married life until a series of misfortunes create a void between them, thus, forcing them to pick their own separate ways. These series of misfortunes are displayed through flashbacks to a reader. Trust is often the root of relationships among humans and is showcased very well in this book in various forms.

The plot of the book starts at an interesting point. Arvind Parashar, the author, has a corporate background and it does help supporting characters through creating realistic environments such that a reader can easily relate too. It has its own high and low points. It becomes interesting at times that a reader will enjoy it immensely and on other occasions, I certainly felt that there are drag elements used to drive the storyline forward. However, one thing to note here is that Parashar does succeed in portraying the urban relationships (of contemporary India) and deciphering them in his words.

The characterisation in this book is good. Apart from the two main characters, there are plenty of characters explored in-depth (in terms of the scope of the storyline) and most of them play an important role. The extensive mixing of two languages such as Hindi with English as the base language is a turn off for me as it does confuses non-Hindi (or non-Hinglish) readers. Apart from that, the writing style is good enough to provide a solid foundation in terms of creating the suspense element out of words and driving the reader to keep turning pages.

I would recommend this book if you are looking to read a fiction/romance with some amount of surprises and suspense or a novel that is based in modern India. This novel might also serve as a small insight on urban relationships.

Messed Up But all For Love is a romance fiction book by author Arvind Parashar. It was published on 1st May 2017 by leading publisher Srishti Publishers and Distributors. The cover page of the book is beautiful, having an image of a couple and a girl. The colors orange and yellow are making it attractive and mesmerizing.

Messed Up! But All for Love is a story revolving around Neil, who is a senior executive working with a leading band name and his wife is a dentist running her own clinic. They are young married couple living a comfort life in Gurgaon. Srinya, Neil's fitness instructor seems to stir some trouble in the lives of the couple. On the other hand is Drishti who is a TV news anchor and journalist and her husband is a top cop. They are bored of their mundane lives and meet Neil and his friends in Cuba which changes everything. There are various other friends such as Tom, Jerry,James, Mehr and Antriksha.

Messed Up! But All for Love is a very gripping and a fast paced story revolving around a couple whose relationship is on the verge of breaking. The book starts with a beautiful prologue and is divided into three parts and an epilogue. The language of the book is easy to read and at various points hindi is used. The characters are very well described and are realistic and all the events are very well written. The way the author has penned down the emotions of the protagonist is marvelous. At various points the story is mushy and cheesy. Few english songs are also used in the story. The story has quite a lot of twists because of the misunderstandings between the couple. The book is very engaging and gripping that it could be easily finished in few hours. The story justifies the title very well. Overall, it is a blend of romance, thrill, suspense and humor.

I would like to recommend this novel to those who really want to read a short and an engaging love story.

Please visit http://www.guptakaushal.in/2017/08/bo... to read the complete review of the book.

Love is what many need, in what form and in what situation varies. The couple Neil and Gauri lead a happily married life until a series of misunderstandings and miscommunication creates ruckus between them and takes away almost everything from them, including the trust leading to the couple finding themselves on the verge of separation. Do they separate or there is a happy ending? That is for us as a reader to find out.

The essence of the story is that, true love has the ability to make anyone go to any extent and survive through the rough, though the realization may take a while but it doesn't let the goodness sink. There is too much of Hinglish which makes the switching between languages difficult.

Neil and Gauri are the perfect couple. They are madly in love and they also have a bunch of extremely interesting friends. They have get-togethers and go on trips abroad. There is always someone who tries to spoil their relationship and in this case its Srinya, Neil's fitness expert. There's love and fun and madness around until everything goes wrong.

EVERYTHING! Misunderstandings start due to lack of communication, fights happen among them, extra-marital affairs and there's also a planned abduction. Neil tries to describe all of it to his boss Gauri and thus the story unfolds. This book is a Bollywood movie gone wrong!
This book has done a great job at maintaining suspense at all points. What starts as a happy story goes through a roller-coaster ride and ends up happy again. The book is fast-paced and can be finished in no time. This book is for the readers who want a short and cute tale about love, struggles and happy endings.

Messed Up! But all for Love by Arvind Parashar is a romantic thriller, based on the young and uber rich couples of Delhi NCR. The story revolves around the protagonist Neil and his wife and friends, and how his life is turned upside down in just a couple of months. Narrated by Neil, the book divides into 3 parts, with the first 2 parts covering his past and the third, bringing us to the present with glimpses of future.

Neil, is a successful man, with a beautiful wife and a steady, well-paying job in Gurgaon. He has his friends by his side, Tom, Jerry and James while Gauri’s bestie is Mehr. this seemingly happy couple, though, has their own share of troubles. The first begins with Srinya, introduced to Neil by Gauri, but now the women seem to dislike each other. When Gauri suggests that he should look into his expanding waistline, Neil enlists the help of Srinya, for she is a fitness trainer for help. He starts coming home late due to his sessions with her which infuriates Gauri. As a result, the first of the cracks begin to appear between them, neither of them ready to make the first move. Over a weekend, both Gauri’s and Neil’s friends arrive, where they decide to go on separate holidays, the girls to Bangkok and the boys to Tashkent to cool off. Accidentally, Mehr’s and Jerry’s cameras get swapped, and she finds her not-so-decent pictures in it. However, she wants to give Jerry a chance, since he seems so much in love with her, and texts him. In reply, he texts her a lovely poem, which Gauri instantly realizes is written by Neil and finds herself thinking about him while Neil also thinks about her beloved Gauri.
Back in Gurgaon, the group bonds over get-togethers and drinks. Seeing the success of their holiday and the effect it has had on them, they decide to go to a resort on Sohna road for their Thanksgiving vacations, only to land in Cuba. While the guys opt for a night out, Gauri and Mehr have stay in at the hotel. The boys find out that Srinya too, is in Cuba along with her cousin. They meet up and Tom hits on Srinya, but Gauri and Mehr happen to see them. On reaching their rooms, Neil sees the do not disturb signs on each of the girls’ doors, and dejectedly, they all head back to Srinya’s hotel for the night. Gauri and Mehr decide to confront Srinya and reach her hotel, call her on the intercom and start shouting, which leads to a massive face off between the ladies. Ultimately, they all leave and the boys drive back to their own hotel in a cab, which Neil happens to drive. On the way, they have a minor accident, banging the car of an Indian police officer and her news anchor wife, Somesh and Drishti, leading to a minor scuffle which they somehow stop and go their own ways. At the hotel, Gauri isn’t hostile anymore but is also not speaking to Neil. Neil, however finds a letter from her at his bedside table, which speaks of her love for him and her insecurities, how she had been missing him and how much she would like to put all this behind. Touched, Neil embraces Gauri and they patch up.
Back in Gurgaon, Gauri has to leave for an official dental meet in Chennai for a week. Unable to control her emotions at the airport, she clings onto Neil, having found their love again. He manages to see her off and decides to go out with his gang. At a pub in Gurgaon, the boys meet up, Tom having called Srinya as well. They get sloshed, and Neil is put into lock up for allegedly misbehaving with a women, which he didn’t. Drishti makes it a breaking news on her channel, women safety and what not, further ruining Neil’s life. When Gauri comes to know about this he next morning, she immediately flies back, telling Neil that they should take time off. While he moves in with Tom, Gauri plans on visiting her parents in Siliguri. One evening when Neil is reminiscing over Gauri, Jerry suggests that they kidnap her, while Neil can become her savior, this way, she’ll forgive him and things will be better. Agreeing not to tell anybody else, they execute their plan, but they somehow kidnap Drishti instead of Gauri. Not finding a way out, they take her to the apartment, lock her up in a room, and when she comes into senses, tell her the truth and the goof up that has happened. She apologizes to Neil for making him look like a culprit in that pub brawl case, as Som had told her that Neil was at no fault. Meanwhile, the news of her kidnapping is a breaking news, for someone had recorded the same on their video camera, along with videos of their fights. Som is upset over it and Drishti on the other hand is happy. She asks them to play along for a couple of days, since she herself is at a bad place with Som and requests them to find out about him and his supposed affair. Neil tries to help Drishti and finds that Som doesn’t have any affairs, instead he was working on some drug bust with his team. Drishti, falls for Neil, his concern for her and they make out but he backs off at the last moment, because he knows they path will lead to no return, and he definitely loved Gauri. She tries to entice him but with no reciprocation. Eventually, they drop her off at a distant location thinking that all has been put behind. Drishti calls up Som and is taken home, where she refuses to answer anything and tells him about her decision to get separated from him. A couple of days later, Drishti begins calling Neil and professing her love for him, which he ignores, but when she starts texting him, he decides to meet her in person and make his standing clear. It is during this meeting that Gauri, now back from her parents, sees them and files for divorce. On the other hand, Som, suspecting something, digs and finds that Neil had been snooping around looking for his details. It is then that he instigates Drishti against him to make her speak the truth and doing the same with Neil. when the news channels flash the story, Ganga, Neil’s boss sends him away to Mumbai on an official trip, from where he is arrested on charges of the kidnapping. He spends 35 days in jail before being bailed out. After his return to Gurgaon, he is completely in mess, he is getting divorced and his life is a public shame. When Gauri comes to get her papers from him, he hands over the entire lot, asking her to return what is not required. She finds Jerry’s papers in the lot, and something strikes about the details. She enlists Tom’s help and digs around, giving her findings to Som.
It is ultimately revealed that Srinya and Jerry had conspired together against Somesh and Drishti, for Srinya was Som’s ex, whom he had dumped without a reason as her father, and his senior had asked him to do so. Therefore, she had wanted revenge for the heartbreak and humiliation Som had caused, by the means of Drishti’s kidnapping and the public release of their videos, and blame Som for the same. Also, Jerry had sided with her because her father had invested in his business. Finally, Neil and Gauri and Som and Drishti get back together, Tom and Mehr hook up, while Jerry and Srinya leave the country, not together.

The present and past seemed mixed up, in Part 1 - A 100 days ago, Neil wishes to resume work (after his jail stint?) and goes to his office, where he tells his complete story to his boss Ganga but it turns out that it was too in the past and not in the present, in fact it was immediately after the Drishti fiasco, before he goes to Mumbai for official work. The story then flits between further flashback to flashback, covering the next part as well, finally coming to the actual present in Part 3. Phew...that was confusing and it wasn’t until Part 3 that I realised the correct timelines! I always maintain that authors should demarcate timelines precisely, especially for stories where flashbacks are shown.
The book is a mixture of romance, drama, revenge and thriller, all churned into one. It represents the volatile nature of relationship these days, especially for the new generation, where even a slightest of spark can lead to to a wild fire. What should have been a beautiful love story of a young couple who had it all, turns out to be a face of the ugly truth, not so perfect and flawed. The characters have their own demons, communication gap, inability to express their love to their partner, the feelings of jealousy, insecurity, ego clashes and the sense of revenge is adamant. They show a range of emotions as well, guilt and vulnerability especially, for each is broken, and need someone to mend them, but are unable to accept it themselves. They don’t seem happy with what they have, and trust me, they have all, find reasons to doubt and ways to justify their actions such as adultery. Are these negative feelings so strong that they kick the love out, even if it is momentarily? Yes, they are, because love is very strange, it makes you go weak in the knees before the one you love but also gives you immense strength to fight back for him/her. And above all, love is accepting and forgiving, despite that it messes up at times.

Summary
This is a story of love, friendship, betrayal, and revenge. Neil and Gauri are a loving married couple, being Gauri the most understanding and mature one and Neil being the messy one. Both of them have their set of very good friends to fool around with and lean back on when time needs them to. Tom, Jerry, and Jasoos are the friends Neil can count on at any time. Mehr is the pillar of support for Gauri.

Their lives were quite normal until they set out for a combined trip with all of their friends to Cuba. There Neil and his friends meet Drishti and her husband Somesh by mere accident and everything changes in all of their lives. After coming back from the trip Drishti gets abducted by someone. Drishti and Somesh were already dealing with a troubled marriage. She even suspected that Somesh is having an affair with someone. But then Drishti falls in love with Neil.

Was it really an accident when Drishti and Neil met for the first time or was it a setup? Who was behind that? How did Neil mess up so bad that he gets imprisoned? Was it only Neil's actions that his life is so messed up or someone else is there plotting against him? Will he be able to save his marriage with Gauri at the end? What happens to Drishti? Read the book if you want to find out.

My Evaluation
The story is good but the narration is really very bad. The main story starts with "A hundred days ago" but I couldn't join up the counting of days of past and present. It sounded a bit weird to know all the details of others lives and actions in first person narration. And weirder was when detailed descriptions of intimacy and intercourse came up while Neil was narrating the story to his boss Ganga. Also, for a senior executive working with a top brand, Neil gets a lot of time to hang around with friends and then go for back to back vacations abroad.

In a nutshell, the story was promising but didn't live up to my expectation. It is really messed up.

Love isn't easy even after you are married to your love and this book proves the theorem. Neil and Gauri are married, yet have their regular fights which at times reaches to extremes. Neil in an attempt to woo his wife, messes up things and lands himself in big trouble. The book is an awesome read written in first person narrative and is written in a way that the reader can relate. The plot is well woven and that keeps you turning the pages till the very end. I recommend it to romance lovers and anyone else who loves romance with a tinge of thrill.

‘Messed Up! But All for Love’ is the first book in the ‘Messed Up!’ trilogy. This book delves into how sometimes our love for each other can create a mess between us and how misunderstandings & miscommunication can lead two lovers to the threshold of separation.

~This review was originally published on https://BooksNMyself.wordpress.com ~

*Let us jump into the Mess…

Gauri & Neil are a happily married couple. The two are ready to go to any limits for the sake of their love. Neil has his bunch of friends- Tom, Jerry & James, while Gauri shares all her sorrows with her friend, Mehr. They often spend time together, go to vacations & make fun.

Problems start arising when Neil decides to lose some weight to surprise Gauri & starts meeting Srinya for the same purpose. Gauri dislikes Srinya due to some reasons. While the couple is on their Thanksgiving vacation, in Cuba, along with their friends, Srinya is also found to be there. Misunderstandings thus become inevitable & lead to a spat between Gauri & Neil. But, ultimately it is Love that wins.

Drishti, a News Anchor, is married to Somesh, who is a Police Officer. The two have their own share of problems that arise mainly because their expectations from each other remain unfulfilled. Both the couples’ paths cross in Cuba, when Neil has an altercation with Somesh. And henceforth their destinies start playing with them.

A chain of events starts unfolding once they are back in India. One thing leads to another & both the couples are now seeking divorce. Neil has spent a few days in the Jail. Is it destiny playing its cards or is there someone behind all this? Can the two couples discover love once again?

*My Verdict

To be honest, I’ve many issues with this novel. First of all, I really don’t know when will Indian authors learn to write a romance without Bollywood. I think, they simply can’t. There is, undoubtedly, a lot of Bollywood elements & the mention of Bollywood in this particular novel.

The other issue, that I had, is with the narrative technique. The author has employed First Person POV, so the story is told from Neil’s perspective. But strangely, Neil can narrate whatever is going on in other’s lives. He can tell us at what time Drishti slept on a particular day, how was she feeling at some point. That’s really insane! But, if any such technique exists, I request you people to let me know about it.

Neil is narrating the whole story to his boss, Ganga, after he is released from Jail. And it is quite strange to see how Ganga has nothing else to do but listen to his story, even in the office hours. We don’t know how well Neil & Ganga are bonded, but Neil does narrate to her even the love making scenes in detail. So, yes! there are elements of Erotica present in this novel.

It took me a lot of time to finish this book, considering the length. It is so because I never had the urge to return to this book. The liberal use of Hindi in the text (which, I must say, is in abundance) made me avoid this book. It never got tempting at any point, except the last few chapters. Yes, that is where the thriller portion kicks start & gets over within 15- 20 pages. But the ending again was not very impressive one.

There are a lot of abusive words, as are often used in a group of boys. But I didn’t like them. Neil & his friends seemed irritating to me, but others might enjoy reading about them. There are also a lot of scenes where they are smoking & drinking. The author has made sure to include a note on their harmful effects in the beginning of the book.

I feel the author wanted to include a lot of things in this book (and so he has done) to have a greater audience. But he has failed in it. Had he written this book only as a Romance, I think, it would have been a better book. We all have heard, “The Jack of all is Master of none.” I’m really surprised how this book has managed to get such nice ratings on Amazon & Goodreads. I think it is overrated there. But some people might have enjoyed reading it. It is okay for a one time reading.

My Rating: *** (3/5)

Review:
I finished this novel in a week that due during my busy schedule that itself speaks a lot about how readable and good it is. If you like reading love stories then you can grab this one. Author has built a great story revolving around friendship and relationships that most of us would be able to relate to. Its the story of a guy who makes a mess of his life due to his love , his insecurities and his wrong decisions and its builds a great web of events that explain what the author is going through. Its easy to imagine and smooth to read. The character definition is very polished and while reading , i had a smooth transition between characters and thankfully i did not get lost in who is who and who is doing what. Each character has a well defined role and i never felt why i am reading about him/her in this story. The angle of love is profound and the best part of this story. Without giving up any spoilers , i would just say that the name is apt for the story and it indeed is all for love . When i am reading any story , the most important thing for me is how much involved i get in it. For me it is a good story , if i want to go back to reading after a long day at work or if i think about the story and its characters even when i am not reading it. This book scores well in that department. It was indeed an engrossing read. You would want to know more and finish it quickly.
Coming to certain points which could have been better : At some places i found the events to be stretched too much and i felt i could easily skip a few pages. The writing style is a bit different i would say. When i started with the book , it took me a while to get used to this kind of narration and become fully involved . But , every writer has his own style so i don't mind this actually . For me , the ending of the story is a little clumsy. Author has tried to give a twist in the end , but for me it didn't work like a charm. It is NOT a let down but it did not have a WOW factor also. The turn of events at the end is highly unexpected which is good but it did not gel well with the entire story . Also ,at the end i thought there was less explanation for why things happened the way they did. I also got confused at certain places and was left wondering about it.
To sum it up , it is a great and simple read if you just want to pick up a book while travelling or are in a mood for a story about relationships which you can relate to. I will recommend this and also look forward to the next book by the Author .

This novel traces the story of Neil and Gauri. Then there is also another couple comprising of Drishti and Somesh. Then there are various other friends called Tom, Jerry, Antriksha, Mehr, James, etc.
There is something in the plot about Drishti being allegedly kidnapped, and Neil being framed for it. Get a hint? No right? Neither did I when I read this synopsis on the back cover of the novel. However, I was optimistic that the novel will provide a clearer picture compared to the vague synopsis.

Aravind Parashar’s writing is good, though not extraordinarily brilliant. It is basic English language. One good thing is he doesn’t attempt to add fancy words and make his sentences sound like they have been framed using a thesaurus. His language is as simple as it can get. And so, the book is easy on the mind. It is neither too heavy nor too complex.

Parashar also succeeds in portraying the urban relationships with finesse. There is a wife who is a journalist and a husband who is a cop. While both of them are successful in their respective fields, their marital life is a big failure.
Then there is the strained relationship between Neil and Gauri. In both these cases, Parashar manages to convey the tension with minimal use of dialogues.

Unfortunately, there are too many negatives in this novel. Firstly and most importantly, the plot of the novel is extremely childish, immature and stupid. I mean, what does this group really intend to do with their lives?
The entire kidnapping angle is a sore thumb. Also, what kind of friends does Neil have? Let me tell you, this is not a cool group. If the writer was aiming at creating a friends group like “Dil Chahta hai”, “ZNMD”, etc, he fails miserably. There is zero chemistry between the friends.
Thirdly, the various incidents shown in the book – the entire pub sequence, the appearance of neil on tv, the entire Cuba sequence – they are all shabbily sketched, childish and unreal. They just don’t look convincing.
What happens therefore is that we feel totally disconnected. Where do such things happen? Who on earth stages abductions? Also, what kind of occupation do these people have? They just seem to be free all the time. And yet, they seem to have all the riches in the world.

Also, if you want to use cuss words, use them either entirely or refrain from using them. What is the point of writing just “C”? What is the point of it?
The biggest flaw was the indirect speech. This book hardly has dialogues. So much of the plot is in indirect speech. Dear writer, it works against you big time. Give us more conversations between 2 people. That is the only was your readers will connect to your book.

OVERALL, the novel is a strict one time read if you have no other plans on a long boring weekend. In any case, the title itself summarizes how the book and its plot is – “Messed up!” But then, all is fair in love!

Messed Up! But All For Love by Arvind Parashar caught my eye because of its unusual title and intriguing cover. The blurb is engaging and together leave a compelling first impression.

The story is about two couples whose lives take a turn when one of them disappears. Secrets are revealed and relationships are tested.

I had high hopes for this book. I hoped for romance with a good dose of suspense but this book had its own ideas. There is romance but it doesn't go the usual happily-ever-after way. It brings out the relationship messes of the modern Indian couples where lack of communication and disloyalty thrive with each person more attuned to his/her wants with no attempt to compromise and work towards their relationships. This is a serious book which raises serious issues with a smattering of light moments.

The story is in first POV and told by Neil to his boss. Now I wanted a better understanding of Neil and his boss' relationship to warrant her undivided interest in his story even during office hours. Also with first POV, the narrator can only tell the story from his perspective but still sometimes I got confused who was the narrator which had me fumbling. I applaud the author on the attempt and wish him the best. With more practise he will no doubt add more shine to it.

The characterization is done well but still more depth could have been added to the characters. I felt sorry for Neil but didn't particularly connect with him. Same happened for Gauri and the other characters who felt real but still made me feel like I was reading about them and not experiencing the story first hand.

The usage of Hinglish words was a downside for me. I believe mixing English or Hindi with Hinglish confuses the non-Hinglish knowing readers and gives off a lacking in vocabulary impression for the author which is not good. Same goes for Hindi. If your book is in English, stick to English mainly, a few words here and there are okay but too many spoil the story.

There is also usage of cuss words which could have been avoided.

All in all, Messed Up! But All For Love by Arvind Parashar is an admirable attempt by the author and I enjoyed reading it. A one time read for me, I give it 3 stars out of 5 and look forward to reading more from the author in the future.

My opinion: The story revolves around two love brids who fall in love, get married and some circumstances have led them to take a divorce. Also, the book reveales what made them to take such a huge decision. Also, a lot things, elements and characters are used in the book. The friendship factor is been used well.

Pros: I really loved the storyline and the simplicity used by the author throughput the book, the cover is so beautiful just like the name of the book. There are many characters in book and alot of sub plots which are arranged such that there is no confusion or chaos, sudden fluctuations of feelings is taken place in the readers heart and mind due to the thrilling and depth of each and every character. Book is a must read and definitely a page turner, highly recommended to everyone also to all my romanctic read lovers. Amazing read indeed!

Messed Up! But All For Love follows the life of Neil and Gauri who are a married couple about to get a divorce. The book tells us the story of how their marriage crumbled and how certain people were part of the reason.

The book starts off very well. The prologue shows Neil getting out from jail and heading to Gurgaon from Mumbai. It is very suspenseful and I could see that the book would be a bit intense.

This isn’t a very happy book. We see how Neil and Gauri’s marriage crumble and how he has a brief affair with Dhrishti. It was sad to see their relationship being destroyed due to misunderstandings. There is a lot of drama in this book. It also gets really cheesy at times. The kissing and love scenes made me cringe as they were not written well. The protagonists travel a lot in the book and I think that made the book a bit more interesting. There is a twist towards the end that I think made the book better and stopped me from losing interest.

This book doesn’t have very remarkable characters. I didn’t love Neil but I did feel bad for him throughout. I didn’t like Gauri much. She didn’t seem to trust Neil and they never talked through their problems. There was a huge lack of understanding and communication in their relationship.

The narration of this book was a little different than I usually read. Neil is telling the whole story of what all happened to him to his boss. It shifts from the days of Neil and Gauri’s marriage to the present. The book got confusing at times and this format didn’t really work for me.

I liked the writing style of the author for the most part. The story is gripping and fast-paced and I could get easily get through it in one sitting.

Overall, I’ll say this is a nice book to read in one sitting. It mainly focuses on the problems that arise in a marriage or a relationship. It wasn’t that interesting for me and I didn’t find anything exciting. I do recommend it if you’re looking for a short romantic read.

About the Author
Arvind Parashar is an author and painter hailing from Dehradun. He has been a corporate leader in various firms like GE, Dell and Genpact. He enjoys road trips and gives motivational lectures at various educational institutes.

My Review- messed up! But all for love is the story of Romance & Affairs with twist & turns. It is the story of two couples. Neil a senior Executive and his wife a dentist Gauri. She is very possessive and that to much possessiveness creates problems in their life.
Another couple is DCP Som & TV Anchor Drishti, they too having problems in their relationship. What happens when Neil meets Drishti. The story has Romance, Suspense, thrill & Love. Author penned it nicely so that you won’t get bored.
All and all it is a nice story. Book cover & Title are good enough to match with the story. It shows how misunderstandings can create problems in life.
I would give it 4/5 star.

Messed Up! But All For Love is the story of Neil, a senior executive working with a leading brand name and his wife Gauri who is a dentist who runs her own clinic. Living a lavish life in the city of Gurgaon they meet Drishti, a TV news anchor and her husband Somesh. The story is about how their lives change after these four meet each other.
The story is just another romantic thriller’s which doesn’t have anything extraordinary to offer. We have come across many similar stories. However the presentation is quite different which makes the book a bit interesting.
The story and theme seems to be inspired by Bollywood a lot and this makes the book and the story somewhat unrealistic. Moreover there are a lot of intimate scenes which may not go well with some readers. It has become a trend with the latest authors to stuff such material in the story to make it more sellable. However, I feel it devalues the quality of the book.
The language used is Hinglish which can not be said literary. However, it may go well with readers who are looking for a quick and easy read. The character development has been done well.
The author has tried very hard to include every ingredient to increase the selling points of the book but for me they have acted as negative aspects.
The cover of the book is also average and the title, okayish. All in all, the book is a mix of everything that today’s authors are trying to stuff in their books to increase the sale and readers base. However, this goes nowhere near a good story of language or even theme.
All in all, The book is for light reading maybe during a metro ride. It’s neither a love story, nor a romantic one. Just a fast pace story to keep you busy for a couple of hours.

‘Messed up! But all for Love’’ is India’s first romantic-thriller trilogy and this thriller revolves around the life of the protagonist Niel and his wife Gauri. Neil shares oh-so perfect love life with Gauri and beautiful friendship with Tom, Jerry and James. Neil and Gauri's romantic relationship comes to standstill when Drishti, a journalist enters Niel's life. Their lives become all messed up and the problems seems never-ending. Neil tries his best to clear the air of misunderstandings and confusions, but he lands up in new trouble every time. The book tells about the struggles that modern day people face in their married life. These problems or mess can be avoided if we trust our loved ones and be honest with them, because only love is not enough if you don't trust or being honest with your love, any relationship can crumble anytime. So building trust is as important as loving your partner. This is what I have learnt from this book. Read the book to know whether the love of Neil will win Gauri's love and comes out of all this messy situation or not. It's all about how far one can go to get true love.

It's a suspenseful story and lot of imagination has been sued. Prefect piece of thrilling romance. The novel also focus on extra-marital affair. I loved the writing style of the author. I found the story fast paced, engaging and very gripping and finished reading it one go. The cover is attractive. The title of the book is apt too. I would recommend it to all my readers who love reading love stories.

Part 1 starts with 'A hundred days ago' and that very moment I knew that something was amiss. Messed up but all for love is about a married couple, Neil and Gauri who seem to have run out of any romantic spark. Gauri takes over the role of being an adult while Neil turns out to be the irresponsible one. The story also involves their friends who stick to them throughout.
🍂
When Neil and Gauri head out to Cuba with all their friends, things take a turn for the worst. Gauri ends up having a tiff with Neil's fitness consultant, Srinya. During their vacation, Neil bumps into a TV reporter Drishti and her husband Somesh who turns out to be a cop. Trouble seems to be sailing in their marriage just like in Neil and Gauri's.
🍂
When they return back from their journey, Drishti gets abducted and somehow Neil gets entangled in it. He is then framed for the abduction and Gauri walks out on him. Is Neil really guilty or is he being a mere pawn in the crime? Will Drishti be saved in the end? And would he salvage his marriage with Gauri? Read this book if you'd like to know what happens.
🍂
The plot was very weak from the beginning and I literally had to struggle to read it till the end. The writing style is least impressive and was such a letdown. The characters needed more work rather than being shown in such a fickle manner. The language and dialogues failed to impress me. To conclude, this book needed to be more refine. There were too many Hindi words being used which could have been cut down a bit.
🍂
I would rate this book 2/5.

My review:

Narration - author described everything very well and he narrated every thing clearly because of upcoming books. When you read this book then you will absolutely want to read upcoming books. He used general english for readers.
Story of the book-
This story is based on love, romance, friendship and revenge whole story go along the protagonist. Neil is the protagonist and Gauri is his dentist wife. On the other hand, Somesh is a top cop while Drishti is a journalist. They are both young couples who wish a lot good in their lives, however it's social. The book covers the aspects of new age friendships and relationships through the life of the protagonist. It's complicated and occult story. when Drishti obtain depredations, Neil obtained friend. There is lot to seek in the book. It has jocosity and a perfect mysterious element. It is the first in the romantic thriller trilogy.
Story plot-
Plot of story is wonderful and impact of writing is very amazing and heart touching.
Nature of building a story is very good step from the telling the story of him self to other and whole plate form is plotted on based on partition.
Book cover- book cover is totally captivating and matched with story of the book.
My rating is:
Cover- 4/5
Story plot- 4/5
Narration- 5/5
Total rating- 4.5/5

I enjoyed reading the book, the second half was a page turner. It would have been amazing if the characters were more developed in reference of their background and thought process was described more. The story seemed to be filmy at a time but the narration and the questions kept me reading without losing the interest.
With many small stories cooking up in parallel between different characters this book is a love triangle of misunderstandings, misfortune and mistiming.
The cover page is good, but one can easily pre-assume that it’s a love triangle, but there is no love angle from Neil’s side towards Drishti which looked liked might be a possibility in the starting of the book. The title suits the story as the life of the protagonist is literally messed up and that too for love.
The book is, despite of so many things happening the story transitions smoothly between the scenes. The situations which can easily be related may look small but can be dangerous if not dealt with maturity. The small incidents connect well in the end. The plot and narration is superb.
Overall it’s a good book to read and you will definitely wait for the next part of it.
