I don’t know why, but as a kid I liked watching factories make things. I think shows like Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood had segments on factories that must have captured my young mind. My favorite Easter book had an illustration of an Easter egg factory. This is the closest book I’ve found so far, but as it was published in 2002, it can’t be the one I’m looking for. Still, it’s a cute story and I liked the colorful illustrations. The Easter Bunny is sick, and to make up for lost time, he makes an egg painting machine. I think I’d have liked this as a kid.
