This novel familiarized me with Genghis Khan's obsession with women, power, and loyalty, and gave me a sense of the political intrigue and military successes. Despite the subtitle, however, I feel I got more of a biography of the narrator, Bo'urchu, who was Genghis Khan's right-hand man. I also wish the book included a map that showed the locations of the various tribes.
