Detective Lindsay Boxer faces a heart-stopping threat in the newest Women's Murder Club thriller.

Fifteen months ago, Detective Lindsay Boxer's life was perfect--she had a beautiful child and a doting husband, Joe, who helped her catch a criminal who'd brazenly detonated a bomb in downtown San Francisco, killing twenty-five people. But Joe wasn't everything that Lindsay thought he was, and she's still reeling from his betrayal as a wave of mysterious, and possibly unnatural, heart attacks claims seemingly unrelated victims across San Francisco. As if that weren't enough, the bomber she and Joe captured is about to go on trial, and his defense raises damning questions about Lindsay and Joe's investigation. Not knowing whom to trust, and struggling to accept the truth about the man she thought she knew, Lindsay must connect the dots of a deadly conspiracy before a brilliant criminal puts her on trial.

Lindsay and Joe continue to live as a separated couple but Lindsay is wavering about bringing Joe back into her’s and Julie’s life. Due to their jobs their lives continue to intertwine.
They decide to have an adult meal and evening out to celebrate their anniversary. As Joe prepares to pay the bill they are witness to the devastating explosion of the Sci-Tron, a science museum overlooking the water near the restaurant.
First on the scene due to the proximity of their celebration they have no idea what awaits. Most everyone is fleeing the museum and then they see a man standing rooted in one place. Thinking he is in shock and needs medical assistance. They begin to talk with him. To their amazement he takes pride in the explosion and makes a full confession with both of them as witness.
Unfortunately the next day it’s their word against his since they were the only witnesses and failed to make a recording of his confession….

I read the first 4 chapters for free and can't wait for the book to arrive so I can read it all. I think this is going to be the best of the Women's Murder Club series.

Read the whole book. A great read. A classic who did it novel. Plenty of action, questioning moments, kept having me want to turn the page to find out what would happen next.
