Susie was my roommate and a good friend, but she was a notorious rock and roll groupie. The woman had a pube collection, for God’s sake. She’d sworn me to secrecy on that one. She hadn’t needed to bother. Who the heck would I tell? Pubic hair didn’t regularly come up in conversation. Also, keeping locks of rock stars’ gorilla salad in zippered bags made me kind of sick. I’d turned her down when she offered to show it to me.
My Review:
There were parts in this book that were so hot my kindle seized. There were other parts that had me groaning with annoyance and wanting to throw my beloved kindle at a wall. The book wasn’t bad; it just wasn’t my preferred blend of stewed aromatic beverage. But for those of you who enjoy the rock-star fantasy or incendiary erotic rock-star sexcapades with a side order of a waffling semi-relationship - then this would be the book for you. There were lots and lots of carnal and licentious acts, some rather unpleasant and uncomfortable BDSM, and mentions of various types of lascivious activities with multiples, which I personally categorize as sharing without caring. I enjoyed the other Misadventures but I’m saddened to say that this one wins the spot of my least favorite to date. Sigh.

I'm always thrilled when the main character has my name, so I wanted to give this one a good try and I think close to halfway is a good try. I got past the 2 ladies who like to have a whole room watch them se*ing it up just for attention. I got past Heather's bff Susie asking her to make out with her just to get noticed by the band. I got past Jett calling everyone sweetheart 🤮. I got past Jett getting denied by Heather and then bringing the prior discussed 2 ladies into his bedroom. I got past Jett convincing Heather to come back to his place only to find one of those ladies still in his bed. After all that, I got past Heather agreeing to go to his concert that night then back to his place. I got past their first whomp session, which wasn't terrible I'll add. Here's where I threw in the towel, 2nd round no condom, her idea. Like seriously Heather! You know this dude has stuck it in at least 3 people that you met in 2 days and you're ready to take that risk already because "I'm on the pill. And I haven't been with anyone in a while. I'm clean, Jett." Girl, no glove no love, ask to see his clean bill of health sweetheart.
Maybe I am just getting too old for this type of fiction. I probably wouldn't have minded this half my life ago.

well, aside from this book having some pretty HAWT scenes of threesomes in many various combos, I'm sad to say that the plot is pretty meh and trivial, thus ruining the whole impact.
the "opposites attract" worked for a few pages, but then the heroine completely "fell" against all her constricting and firm ideas, and voila, add a bit of angsty drama with OW, cause the H (a badass rocker who is actually a highly educated vocalist, is being blackmailed - cause of smth the H did in his past, protecting his family - by a 50 year old heiress who made his carrer afloat and an instant boom in exchange for sexual services)
*sigh*
it sounds pretty messy, but it's actually laughable and pretty easy flowing...
since the storyline is a cliche again, which I could have overlooked BUT didn't, I then tried to focus on the portrayal of characters, and failed, cause they were flat and one-dimensional, therefore I didn't either connect nor felt for them during the story or at the end, I couldn't care less, in fact.
BUt as I said, the sex scenes were pretty hawt and spicy but that's not enough to hold this story together...too bad, really.
But to those who expect an easy, light and non-pretentious read with hawt sex, go for it! ;)

It was so hard to start writing this review--because where does one start when trying to embody a book that tells a story so much deeper, richer, and more meaningful than what its premise conveys? Okay, don't get me wrong. There are hot rock star adventures promised here--and MORE than delivered--but beyond all of the naughty shenanigans and bed sheet twisting, there's such a deeper message to be had in this breathtaking, moving love story. Sometimes--MANY times--what you see is definitely NOT what you get with people. Casting categories and labels onto people, whether they're going to be your lover or your friend (and in the best cases, both), can often block you from realizing a life lived to its most fulfilling happiness. A rock god can actually hide a musical scholar, and a nerdy writer can secretly be a kinky sex nymph. And when the two of them meet...well, get ready to watch the transformers blow and the stars explode. What an exciting, electrifying, emotional, erotic, and decadent read! Absolutely one of Ms. Hardt's best!

This book was utter ridiculousness. It was so over-the-top at times, all I could do was laugh. Sometimes the absurdity was offensive on different levels.
And this one last quote, to prove how silly this entire story was.
"He loves seeing a black girl and a white girl together. It's kind of a fetish of his. And babe, you're hot. I could totally do you."So, despite not liking women sexually, she decides to jump at the chance to have a threesome, just to be able to be with this guy one more time.
If fooling around with Janet in Jett's bed could get me just a few more minutes in his presence…Oh someone please help this girl find her backbone.
And this one last quote, to prove how silly this entire story was.
"You don't have a lot of experience with girls. Bisexual girls, I mean. Men like to use a lot of tongue, so girls are used to keeping their tongues in their own mouths. The problem is when a girl kisses another girl, neither of them lets their tongues stray out of their mouth. So what you get is basically a tongueless kiss.I don't even know what to say about all this incorrect information.

AHH I cannot express how much I loved this book. What an amazing addition to the Misadventures Series. Helen Hardt never disappoints.
This book started out with a bang. It was fast paced and held your attention from beginning to end.
Heather Myles got way more than she bargained for when she went with her roommate to see Emerald Phoenix. As she sits around taking in the scene after the concert she realizes that it is not her scene and plans to leave.... She catches the lead singer, Jett Draconis's eye, and suddenly her life gets just a little more interesting. Heather definitely realizes an immediate attraction to Jett, but something seems off. Jett teachers her a few valuable lessons as she gets to know him.. Can she trust him?
Jett is feeling restless and getting tired of the same old scene day after day. Looking in from the outside you think that Jett has it all.. Why would he want to change? What more could he want? He definitely harbors his own secrets and tries to keep his private thoughts and life on the down low. He definitely still enjoys a good time, but he really wants MORE... Is he allowed to fall in love and feel a connection? Is it worth all the risks? Trust me you want to read this book and find out all about Jett and Heather.... They have off the chart chemistry. They were HOT!!!

I like this book! The story was written in a way that captivates me immediately. It's a good storyline. A famous rockstar falling in love with the struggling screenwriter. The character building was good. I just thought it ended abruptly. Where's the epilogue when you need one, lol! Overall, my first book from Ms. Hardt was enjoyable and can't wait to read more of her books in days to come.

Misadventures with a Rock Star by Helen Hardt was the twelfth book in the Misadventures series. The series was written by various authors with a steamy flare.
Jett Draconis was a the lead singer for the famous rock band, Emerald Phoenix. He was the typical playboy - many hook ups, never a relationship.
Heather Myles was a struggling screenwriter. She had gone to an Emerald Phoenix concert with her roommate and met Jett. He was persistent but she refused to be one of many.
As a novella, it was short and to the point. The premise had merit, but I craved more depth. And the antagonist - ugh! I needed more closure. I was a fan of the series and I was a fan of the storyline, but they needed a full novel.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
So I'm a big fan of the Misadventures series. I loved the last two I read last month. Which is why I'm super disappointed that was just a no for me. This won't be a review, more like a rant.
I was all behind Heather in the beginning. While she was attracted to Jett, she was standing her ground with not sleeping with him. And boy did he try to get her into bed. Then she just ups and throws herself at him!
While Jett and Heather did have chemistry and their sex scenes were hot, that was it! There wasn't a damn connection between them at all other than sex. Can we please have an actual forming relationship plot in 2018?
I honestly felt as if every type of sex was thrown into this book. We have some girl on girl, some bondage, and also some others that I shouldn't go into detail about. These people knew each other for about 3 days, you want me to believe that they were doing all this? You can't be serious!
While there was a little bit of suspense thrown in, I wasn't at all impressed. Also, the ending was so rushed that I just wanted to smack myself for reading this thing through. This is my least favorite book in this series and I might have to take a break from it.

You had me at Rock. Star. Romance. Helen.
This is the first book of hers I've read. The writing is ok, but there were a few expressions that I didn't like - for example: THE PRIOR EVENING. Who talks like that? Nobody! Definitely not a rock star. 99.9% of people would just say LAST NIGHT. I don't know why suddenly all authors need to use the word PRIOR at least twice in their books. I hate it!
The story was cute. Rockstarish, erotic (too much girl on girl for my tastes!), heartbreaking.
It could've been a bit longer with a bit more depth to everything. And it was a bit too insta and a little bit too silly here and there - but I really enjoyed reading it. Was a good little story for a wintery day. ☺

I have read a few books from this author and she continues to blow my mind. I have been waiting for this book ever since I seen the cover. My favorite genre is rockstar romance and this talented author exceeded all my expectations. This is the twelfth book in this epic series Misadventure. These two characters drew me in right from this start. You can’t help falling in love with them. I devoured this incredible book in only one sitting.
Heather Myles is a very intelligent young woman that is trying to find her big break. She is a screenwriter and yet again she is turned down. When she comes home to her groupie roommate she is told to get dressed because they are going to a concert. Heather ends up going to the concert to unwind a little. She is ready to go home but then she sees the beautiful Jett Draconis. He is the lead singer of the band she just saw. Heather is instantly attracted to him but would a rockstar give her the time of day? She quickly realizes that Jett is nothing like the rocker everyone sees. He is very sweet, patient, and very smart. Heather is thrown into the rockstar life but is she strong enough to handle it?
This book is absolutely incredible. The storyline has it all romance, drama, and forgiveness. You will fall in love with these characters right from the beginning. Heather is very intelligent and knows what she wants. She is a sweetheart but she can bring the sass. I loved that Heather gave Jett a run for his money. Jett is a beautiful rockstar that deep down has a heart. He is known to be a player but when he shows you the real side of himself you will fall for him. The way he treats Heather will make you swoon. These characters have some steamy scenes that will make your toes curl. This author will keep you on your toes until the very end. This books made me believe that love can conquer all. This amazing author wrote a perfect addition to this epic series. I can’t wait to read the next adventure.

Two people who were tired of the party scene ended up meeting each other. It was magical.
Misadventures with a Rock Star was a cute read. In it, you will meet Heather and Jett. Both aren't really into the same things as their friends anymore. Heather really wasn't down to go to a concert for a group that her roommate was obsessed with. Jett doesn't really want to party anymore or deal with thirsty people either.
Trust me, I get it.. totally. Thirsty people are annoying and so are roommates with an obsession. My sister is obsessed with candles.. don't ask me how many we freaking have right now. Or how many have been lit once. Every time I see a package outside our door.. I get freaked out.
Anyhoo, these two try to protect their hearts from one another but in the end it didn't work. They were cute together and I really enjoyed them growing throughout the book. There is, however, one thing I would change: the flow. AT times I loved this book and couldn't put it down. Other times I just wanted to throw my phone because these two were annoying the shit out of me.
In the end, I liked it and that's that.
PS. Is there a CA (candles anonymous) meeting that I can send my sister to?

Overall, I thought this book was a fun read. It was hot. It was sexy and filled with lots of good times. I think the author did a great job depicting the rock star lifestyle. Jett is the character that you love to hate. He’s arrogant and flirty. But underneath it all is a man who is tired of the status quo and is looking for something more out of life. Meeting Heather was just what he needed. She wasn’t like all the women he was used to. She made him want more and certainly didn’t make things easy for him.
Misadventures with a Rock Star is a sinful read filled with lot of naughtiness, insta love and a rock star that is sure to win your heart. This was a fun book to spend the evening curled up with and I think it was a great addition to this series.

Another great misadventure book. I absolutely love these books. This one is about a rock star that finds the perfect woman but can't have her. To many things are in the way. Jett just wants to be free and be able to love who he wants. But certain things are in the way of that . Heather is not a groupie she is a writer trying to make it . I absolutely loved these two together. There was something there right from the start. Great suspense in this one regarding what Alicia is holding over Jett's head. A great adventure from beginning to end. Loved it highly recommend.

This story was really ridiculous. I realize these misadventure books are supposed to be quick reads but I hate that some of these lack character building and actual plots. This was over the top and so far fetched. We go from I can't believe him and I'm never seeing him again, to oh you think I should have a three some with another female and that will get his attention, oh ok let's do it...LOL Not to mention the ending was wrapped up in 3 paragraphs. This one is definitely a NO for me.

Heather is sassy and gives Jett a run for his money. I love that she doesn’t fall for his charming ways right from the start. Jett is persistent, he wears Heather down and doesn’t want to take no for an answer. Deep down we see what a smart, sweet, family guy Jett really is. The more Jett and Heather spend time together, the more we see his true colors and what an attentive, swoon-worthy hottie he is. The two are a match made in Rock N Roll heaven!

First of all I freaking love Helen Hardts work. She knows how to keep her audience attention. Who wouldn't love to read a book about a sexy Rockstar.
Heather is a simple woman who looking to find a job writing. She has always wanted to write for big screen. She meets our Rockstar when her roommate makes her go to their concert.
Jett loves his life but is tired of the sex parties, drinking every night and not being his true self Jeremy. This book is steamy, menage, and a bit dramatic. An easy read that leaves you wanting more. Everyone should read this if they love the misadventures series. I do wish there was more or a second book.

Rock Star Screenplay
The Misadventures series continues with Helen Hardt's Misadventures with a Rock Star. I am a huge fan of Helen's writing and this book did not disappoint. Jett Draconis is the lead singer and guitarist for the band Emerald Phoenix. He has become tired of the groupie rock star lifestyle, and then after a concert he sees Heather Myles and his world is rocked. Heather is a fan of the band however she is with her room mate at the concert as she is need of a fun night to relieve her boring day to day existence. She is an aspiring screenwriter living in LA while waitressing until she sells something. While she thinks Jett is extremely hot she is not a groupie and at first does not want to be a
one night stand. It was fun to see these two interact and get to know each other. There are secrets and obligations that Jett has to deal with, very sexy steamy HOT love, and the realization that maybe you can have it all if everyone works together. I especially loved the reference to opera singing from Jett, and classical piano for Zane.
The whole Misadventures series has been delightful and this book continues the tradition. Kudos to Helen Hardt for a fast, fun, engaging, super sexy read!!

This book. Sigh. It's just not for me. I felt absolutely no connection to the characters. lead singer and guitarist Jett Draconis falls instantly for concert gooer Heather Myles for no particular reason other than she was hot. He continues to love her for no other reason than she is hot and barely talks to her much. He's too busy waxing lyrical over her nipples.
Heather is not a groupie. Great I love a bit of push/pull. Heather is so not a groupie that after saying no once, she is suddenly getting in Jett's limo to talk. Of course Jett really respects Heather's talk about not being a groupie and just plot ways in which to get at her nipples.
Eventually, he succeeds and then a little bit of drama is thrown in. By this time all the characters just felt ridiculous to me. It was a nonsensical storyline.
I finally put the book down when definite non-groupie Heather agrees to a threesome with another girl and Jett. Yeah, she really held out there. It was just one big eye roll.*
Eventually, I returned to it. It should also be pointed out that I listened to the audiobook of this and the male narrator sounded a bit like he was doing the voice over intro to a horror movie most of the time (which just made me laugh) and the female narrator sounded a bit removed and narked off most of the time. This didn't help.
I also didn't like the scene where Jett gets his kink on with the evil OW whilst not enjoying it in the slightest. Great turn on: someone not enjoying themselves. It was just too wincy/cringy for me. I like sex where everyone is having a good time – call me old fashioned.

Nothing has sparked his interest until he spots Heather. Their attraction is hard to ignore and he is on a mission to find out who she is. She wants nothing to do with a Rockstar, but he doesn't take no for an answer. She finally gives him a chance when she realizes that he is not the typical rock star.
However, a secret from Jett 's past can cost him everything and hurt his potential future with Heather.
Misadventures with a Rock Star was an enjoyable story to read. It was fast paced and straight to the point. The characters were well written. However, I thought the ending was too rushed. I would have liked more depth to Jett and Heather 's relationship. While they both had chemistry, I didn't find that there was a connection between them other than sex.
Overall, I recommend this book, if you're looking for a sexy, suspenseful, Rockstar read.

I absolutely will devour a rock star romance in a jip!
Jett Draconis is a rockstar, a rockstar that all the groupies want to get their dirty little hands on and usually he's all up for it. He is a typical rock star right! One that will never say 'no' to one, two, three or even four women at a time. I mean, who doesn't want to live a life like that!
Well here comes Heather in the picture. She attends one of his concerts with her best friend and roomie and when she goes back stage with Suze, her eyes connect with Jett's and BOOM, the attraction is super instant. But Heather knows what he's all about and she's not about to get caught up in that and just become another body to heat up his sheets for one night.
But Jett has now set his sights on Heather and wants her. Something about her made him instantly perk up and now he wants her, but she's not that easy to convince and she plays her cards pretty hard in the 'hard to get' category. But Jett is relentless and continues to persuade Heather and he will stop at nothing to get this girl one way or another.
But someway and somehow she does end up in Jett's bed and oh my, those sex scenes are to die for.
Helen Hardt can write a kick ass sex scene and boy there were quite some heavy sex scenes in this book that left me fanning myself.
I enjoyed this book very much, I liked that there was a little bit of a suspense involved and just the connection between Heather and Jett was pretty damn HOT!

Okay, this review going to be short I don’t have much to say. But I will say that; I am glad that Jett aka Jeremy gotten rid of that demon Alicia. That old duck; was ruining his life. I wonder if she had a husband or not! It’s crazy how she’s so evil; that she even went above to mess with a gay man. Like sheesh, lady.
On top of that, she wanted to ruin Heather. But I glad that Heather didn’t pay her ass any mind; even Jeremey didn’t pay her any mind half the time. I cracked up when she thought Jeremy had sex with her, but in reality, it was a dildo ha! Priceless.
Not only that I liked how he wanted to be Jeremy to Heather and only Jett to his fans. That was awesome; glad that he wanted I mean glad that they both found love in each other. But the crazy thing is a lot of celebrities who sing/rap actually have gotten into a relationship with their groupies or have had sex with them. Her friend Susie and those girls Janet and Lindy; only wanted to be groupies whereas Heather didn’t l liked that about her because who wanted to live their lives just to be whoring their self to sex with rock stars that are only going to look at you as a sex object... I was glad that Jett didn’t look at Heather in that way.

WoW this book puts Fifty Shades to shame! What a steamy, erotic little novel that I quickly devoured! Helen Hardt gives you a TRUE Rock Star that has no shame in his sexual tendencies and add in a little orgy action, and play room - well ladies its what we have come to find and enjoy in these Misadventures Series Novels!
Each Misadventures book is a STANDALONE, these books are seriously on the top steamy end of the spectrum and deliver a fantastic and H-O-T romance that you will devour easily in a day or less! The perfect bedtime reading and better to share with a bed companion, ;) (Yes I said it ok!)

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you shouldn't start a romance novel with the MMC - rock star or not - watching 2 ladies fooling around for his pleasure.
