This book explores an entirely new & revolutionary approach to persuading the masses to do your bidding. To become a persuasion powerhouse, start by imagining the human brain as an electrical circuit with 8 psychological switches that all need to be turned on for an effortless YES. 90% of purchasing decisions in the buyer’s mind are the result of someone sparking that circuit into action. The result? People stop scrolling and start drooling because you have tapped into their deepest, darkest desires. Consumers scramble for their credit cards because you have managed to position your products, your ideas and YOURSELF as irresistible. People take to their social media soapboxes on your behalf, telling the world how much they love you. And the best part about this excuse-disarming, desire-cultivating, wallet-opening thing called persuasion is that you don’t have to be a natural at persuasion, to persuade!
Here are the eight persuasion switches in Mass Persuasion Method that once activated turn you into a master PERSUASION SWITCH #1 THE PRESTIGE SWITCH PERSUASION SWITCH #2 THE BELIEVABILITY SWITCH PERSUASION SWITCH #3 THE PARITY SWITCH PERSUASION SWITCH #4 THE CURIOSITY SWITCH PERSUASION SWITCH #5 THE URGENCY SWITCH PERSUASION SWITCH #6 THE DESIRABILITY SWITCH PERSUASION SWITCH #7 THE EDUTAINMENT SWITCH PERSUASION SWITCH #8 THE RELATABILITY SWITCH
This book will not only show you the science and psychology behind each switch but will also give you specific, hands-on tactics that you can use on your websites, your social media & your client communications to to hook, pull, draw, magnetize and altogether mesmerize your customers and potential customers into buying from you, above everyone else in your industry...and not just once, but over and over again.
I grabbed this ebook on a whim (thank you Kindle Lending Library), given that persuasion is a hot topic in politics, marketing, and business books. I work for a large company and am not responsible for email or blog marketing, the general target of this book. However, I found the topics quite interesting. Azhar gives plenty of ways to get an idea across in order to move the target forward in a process, generally purchasing. I found myself comparing her recommendations for marketing content to the communications of many of the email lists I’m on. Many of the tactics she suggests for wording communications were very familiar from emails I have received, including those from authors, retailers, and consultants. I also sense some familiarity with local advertising pitches. I believe that the basic concepts she discusses are well used, but you don’t notice this until you read them collected together in a book such as this. This is one of the few Kindle “borrowed” books I’ve read that I would consider re-reading or purchasing. I can use some of the book’s concepts and examples in the communications I do have within my company, and perhaps even on Twitter, although the book isn’t aimed at limited length communications. The humor is a bit over the top, and take a little getting used to. This is not a book to read while dieting, as she mentions Nutella in every chapter. Given this is a book on persuasion, I hope that Azhar has purchased stock in Nutella’s creator to profit from her advertisements. As a rule, I dislike business books that are entirely created as advertisements for the author's consultancy, but in this case, Azhar provides plenty of value in the text, describing the concepts, when they should be used, and providing a number of examples, only a few of which are about Nutella. Nicely done.
I'm a longtime follower of Bushra's and her writing style has always drawn me in to whatever story she's telling. This book is no different from every other fabulous thing she's ever created to help us understand how to use persuasion to better tell our stories and serve our audiences. My favorite part is the 8 persuasion switches -- so genius. Now, I have this info at my fingertips...so glad she finally wrote the book on it!
This is a goldmine for any overwhelmed solopreneur out there with an underperforming sales page, a gargantuan todo list and a brain poked full of holes by stress over not being able to hold all the moving parts together. This gives you a method, a solid framework for you to look at your online efforts strategically and finally get those pages to convert by using consistent psychological strategy. And Bushra writes it in a super simple, digestible, and FUN way that is a pleasure to read! Oh, but one thing though - keep some snacks close by cause you might get hungry...
This is very well, in depth written Marketing book, that is mostly dedicated to people who already have created their product or service but they have problem of getting customers to buy it. And this book will help you to learn “how to sell”, “how to sell a product” etc.
Everyone knows that if you create good product or service, you also need a good marketing skills to been able to sell that product or service. Since we are not born with knowing everything, and we need to learn everything, this book provide so many information on marketing and how to do it.
One thing that I’ve noticed is couple of people complains that this method can be used as manipulating people and tricking them to buy something that really doesn’t help them. Although that can be true, we all need to be realistic and think like adults. Bushra has mentioned in her book that this method should be used if you have quality product to sell. With or without her book there always going to be people around who exploits other people and sell them trash.
I will add some quote about this from the book – “Persuasion isn’t something one person does to the other. It is what one person does to herself as and internal response to the stimulus she is exposed to. Her personal ticks that respond favorably to the stimulus – these are what cause her to be persuaded…. not some sleazy dark magic, but she HERSELF!”
I like this book a lot, because in future when I try to sell something (such as my old car, or something else; and yes, information from this book can be used for selling something that we don’t need anymore) I will be able to create to create ad for my product.
When it comes to selling it’s all about the marketing, we all need to learn as much as possible about it. Because we are all sales persons, even if we are not aware of it. Maybe we don’t get paid every time, but we are constantly selling something.
This is great book to start learning, and it’s cheap so it won’t break the bank in order go get it.
I encourage everyone to get this book and spend some time reading it. Even if you are just like me, person who don’t have particular business with product that need to start selling more of it. It’s great to prepare ourselves for the future.
While I can not say there is anything new or revolutionary about the contents of this book, the information is sound and proven. The author is enthusiastic and appealing to those of a mind to take her advice. I have watched her live presentations and joined her Facebook group. For the links to her training alone, it is worth the price of this book. The information is presented in a logical progression and the concepts are clear. No book or speaker, webinar, workshop or PBS tv special will create success for you. The reader (or viewer) must put the advice into practice. I suggest reading this book multiple times, the first, quickly and straight through. The second time, take advantage of the links and resources. Also begin putting the advice into practice. Refer back to her offerings as you grow in your own experience and begin to see results. Take note of what works for you, adjust your offerings that are not getting desired results. Become active in the suggested online communities.
This book is clear and well thought out. It delivers ideas that attract attention and keep someone scrolling through your website or social media. Attracting attention and keeping people interested in what you have to offer keeps interest in possible purchase. There are many good suggestions for attracting new clients and keeping return buyers.
A good read with tips to keep your emails and social media posts active and catching the eye of new potential. As well as getting testimony from those that have enjoyed your products for word of mouth sales.
There's no denying that Bushra is a genius when it comes to persuasion and this book is like accessing a small chamber in her brain vault full of actionable, practical and invaluable tools that, when implemented correctly, are bound to yield amazing results. So, go ahead and give it a try, read the book and try the switches and then head on over to her FB group where she continues to deliver outstanding value and daily witty-ness
You might think you lack the perfect words or have plenty of them.
This book will deliver immense value to you. This book will introduce you to the power words. It will teach how to organize all these beautiful words you have not been able to leverage to write sales copy worth reading.
It’s time to use the 8 switches to increase your sales and influence your fans.
This book covers most of the bases on getting people to buy products from your online business and it does this very well. This is coming from a person who has already read multiple books on marketing, this is up there and the price at the time I am writing this review is a no brainer. It's worth it even if the book was 15 dollars though.
I am loosing hope in mankind if these tactics really work
This book is the symphtom why our society heads towards complete turmoil. Please don't buy anything if you see that they use these tactics with you because it degrades to consumer to a meaningles nobody. I give two stars because at least the book is not long.
All in all Bushra made it easy, convenient, and reflective to follow all the sales copy strategies and templates.
Her wit and humor made the book fun and entertaining to read until the end. For a non sales guy like me, this book has opened a new perspective on what it means to sell. This has made me more aware now of what switches companies use on me 😉.
Bushra is the master at human psychology and explaining it to the masses. I'm not sure why it took me so long to read her book since I have devoured everything else I have purchased from her. I'm excited to put into practice many of the hacks she has laid out intbe book.
Me ha gustado mucho el contenido del libro de Buzzard. Me parece e práctico, útil y muy divertido. A veces me parece que hay muchos lugares comunes. Probaré sus técnicas, creo que pueden funcionar.
Brilliant title and cover, however, not much substance. The apparent use of "psychology" is deceptive. Search google for a list of Top X ways to do Y. Break X in couple of lists and replace Y with persuation and that's it.
Inspirational ideas are available and interesting, such as measuring client's buying temperature and give appropriate sales ideas. The book is simple and easy to read.
No beating around the bush. Bushra gets straight to the point with exactly what you need to get and keep customers. Nothing is held back. Everything is spelt out for you and easy to implement. Almost seems to easy but it's obviously working.
