This was a good start to the series, I enjoyed getting to know Ian and Kristina. This is a very HOT read that is short enough to complete in one afternoon, but I must warn you that you are left with a cliff hanger so you may want to make sure you have Adore, book 2, on hand for when you finish this one. CRAVE is the first book on the Addicted To You series, that will leave you completely obsessed, addicted and thrilled!
I love Ian, I think he's a great man. Troubled, with serious addictions, but he sure is confident and leave no doubt that what he wants he gets it! And he's a writer, a sexy writer! Kristina is an actress, a shining star, with fears and doubts about herself, broken... she's everything she hides from the public eye and of course, she becomes Ian's muse. When they meet for the first time, they get completely obsessed for each other. Their relationship grows until the draft of his next book becomes too much for Kristina...
This story is sexy, the sex scenes are steamy, and the plot suspenseful enough to make you crave for more!
Yes, Yes, and more please! K.M. Scott is not a new author to me. I was introduced to her books a couple of years back and read her Heart of Stone series. I am excited that I am back reading her books. I did not realize how much I missed her writing. I was excited that we have the Addicted to You series, previously known as the Silk series.
I was right back in my happy place. I adored Ian and had hurt for him while he is fighting an ugly addiction. He finds his muse, Kristina. I love how their story is instant. They have the need to just be together without regret when they first meet. Kristina is bold and strong. Ian has a new addiction. I was worried what they need is what will destroy them. I was completely hooked on this short story and ready for book 2! I am hoping that these two will be strong enough to overcome their trials. The drama is never ending, and the sexy time scenes are scorching. These two can not keep their hands of each other and it is HOT!
I received an Advance Reader Copy for Crave (Addicted To You #1 ) written by KM Scott and voluntarily reviewed this book. Ian Anwell is a NY Times-lauded historical fiction author of four books, and his editor is already impatient for his next book. He is a very intense person, throwing himself into everything he does with his whole soul: his love of history, writing, heroin, alcohol, and sex. He had been keeping a tight lid on his destructive vices for the last eight months, but he has been getting restless lately, and he can feel his quickly thinning control slipping, so he needs a new challenge in his life...a muse. When he spies Kristina on his television while mindlessly flipping through the channels, he devoured all the movies that she was cast in, several times over. And when that wasn't enough, he sought her out.
Kristina Richards is now a famous actress, appreciative of the avenues that allow her to explore her craft. When her manager informs her that a famous writer is interested in meeting with her, one whom she has actually read and admires, she immediately agrees. It doesn't take much more than a mere touch between them before they dive quickly into a very intimate relationship, one that had them bearing their souls to each other as well as their some of their fears. After all, Katrina herself is an artist, and she has her own private devils to contend with. She inspires Ian to explore and confront his addictions, and he begins writing anew. But suddenly, a fear become triggered, and the relationship is now in jeopardy. Except that this couldn't have come a more pivotal or the most delicately balanced of times...
What an engrossing first installment of this series! It is a raw, honest, sometimes gritty reality, the immediate worlds of these two characters, affecting the choices they make in order to survive the days of their lives. I definitely look forward to reading the rest of this series!
I want her. I crave her. She’s my addiction. The world knows me as Ian Anwell, New York Times bestselling author, but Kristina makes me want more. Much more.
I need him. I love him. He’s my obsession. Everyone thinks they know Kristina Richards, but I’m more than what they see on the screen. So much more. I’m his muse, and this is our story. •••••••••••• CRAVE is the first installment in KM Scott’s adult, contemporary ADDICTED TO YOU erotic romance serial focusing on New York Times bestselling author Ian Anwell and actress Kristina Richards. Told from alternating first person points of view (Ian and Kristina) Volume one introduces Ian and Kristina.
Ian is an addict with an addictive personality-alcohol and heroin are his choices but Kristina becomes his new obsession. He is a man whose successes have made him rich and famous, but have also brought self doubt and numbness. Ian needs a muse for his next project and Kristina is ripe for the picking.
Kristina is an actress, whose star is on the rise. When the world famous writer Ian Anwell requests to meet her in person, Kristina finds herself falling instantly in love with a man she doesn’t really know. She, too, has an addictive personality and Ian is her latest dependence.
Their attraction is immediate; sex and lust are a constant need but Ian demands secrecy in both his personal and private life. The sexual imagery is graphic, erotic, and often. Their story is one of insta-love and obsession.CRAVE sets the tone for two people whose need for one another becomes all encompassing and magnetic.
Wow, this hit me hard, I hadn’t anticipated just how intense the book was going to be but once I got to grips with what exactly was going on and the reality of not only the fact that the story was tackling such real and troubling issues as addiction and total obsession, I couldn’t get enough and this was a hunker down and devour the story. Kristina Richards may be an actress and used to being the woman that people watch but what she doesn’t know is that for one particular fan, she is much more than an unattainable illusion, nope Bestselling author Ian Anwell has an obsession that has taken on a life of its own and it was one that he wasn’t willing to reign in…he had to get to know her, to meet her and to have her in his life, but what would it take to achieve that? I was worried about the way the pair of them were more than a little obsessive, I had a feeling that getting o whether they needed to be was going to be emotionally painful for them both. They had to let go of some of their inner issues in order to get to where they wanted to be but hoping for and actually achieving was never going to be easy. I thought this short sexy little read was more than just a dipping of my toe into world where broken people come together to heal each other, nope this was a look at two lives that were intrinsically entwined but that had the capacity to sink almost as much as it had to soar.
To think back to my school days. Reading was considered a crime. How dare I spend hours looking through the stacks. Like I was some addict of sorts looking for a fix. Only when I found it, put my hands on it? Well to this day, I still Crave that feeling, and that’s how I found K.M. Scott. Except instead of a library of brick and mortar; Kindle is a decent tool. Don’t judge me, some things I don’t want to repeat from school days.
It’s not every day that I peruse a novel about a writer. Why does that feel like cannibalism to me, writing about writers? Not that Crave is about such a macabre subject though it is chock full of wanting flesh. Would it be better if it was a book about drugs? Yeah, it has that, and then again it’s pretty DOPE. Yeah, guess what movie I went to see after reading K.M. Scott’s work. Might I add a first for me? So why do I bring together the idea of books and movies, seeing as how I’m no Hollywood guy. Should I call Crave such, with its drug addiction, bright lights of New York and even a celebrity sex drama?
Well, I’ll instead focus on the sex because that’s what we all came here for right. Our drug addicted protagonist of Ian Anwell, trading one vice for another. Call it infatuation, obsession, hunger, no I think K.M. Scott got the title right, no doubt. Next, we have Kristina Richards, the actress. There was a movie that said that love is an acceptable form of madness, and that’s what she is. A bit bonkers when it comes to her choice in men. Ian though, can’t seem to win no matter what, because only in a world such as this can emotions such as his be tolerated. So one would think, though he’s one for Secret Lovers.
I swear that’s the song that pops into my head when I listened to Ian speak though. This book has nothing to do with cheating unless you count Ian cheating on his dealer at any point. Or how Kristina is cheating herself out of a relationship. How much of a connection there was because again there wasn’t much of let’s say a “typical” relationship. Whatever you may hold that to be. This title is like a drug, a sweet “hit,” and then you’re left with, well a craving. So there are some sequels, yes, please.
Crave is a fast-paced love affair, with how not to win the girl. In the real world, at least. Though I know, there are so many fanboys out there that think Patreon should work this way when it comes to women. Speaking of women, it’s that double standard in a way. Well if a woman does it, we call it cute. If a man does even a quarter of it, someone calls the cops. It's Titanic only way more sex and Jack is jonesing for more than his Rose portrait.
Now the blurb spills it but just in case spoiler alert. We have Ian, two books down, fame and fortune, looking for his next hit. Drugs, drinks, but it turns out to be a dame. The way some women get to a man, how I know the feeling. It turns out that Kristina is a big fan of Ian and of course it doesn’t take her long to shimmy out of her panties. That is if she were wearing any, allow me to play Homer Simpson for a minute *drools*. Next thing you know he has his new book idea and she becomes the protagonist for his work. His muse, now what did I say about writing about a writer. I did devour Crave quickly.
One of the things I both enjoyed and despised about this book was how close to home it got. As a writer myself, I’ve written about women, and I’ve seen the same thing. I didn’t mean to get so personal, but I read a lot of erotica. So it’s albeit confusing and fictional should be the keyword. But the story itself is fantastic, and well put together. Kristina did irk me some, but that’s at the end, and you’re going to have to read it yourself to find out. Only, seeing how there are three more books in the series, I hope they give details.
The end is thought out but and I say this about many titles. It’s as if the author was anxious to get to the finish line and didn’t specify what Ian’s actions meant. I get it, but I’ve read creepier things that are glossed over by the heroine. Too close to home, though I have never gone to Ian’s level. Now at least he and “Kristina” were sleeping together on the regular before she decided to bug out on him. She showed more understanding when he explained his drug addiction.
I’m not sure how many gentlemen are into these stories, but I’m always hoping it’s not only me. For women who are under the usual sway of Erotica, Crave will get you there. So to everyone else, will it leave you yearning for more? Yes, I give K.M. Scott’s Crave four stars, and I am usually a hard sell. Yes, I will be going after the rest of the series as well. Yes, I could stop, and this beats a few other vices that I have going for me indeed.
For the guys, it’s a dream come true. Imagine the hottest actress, singer, model, or cosplayer *gulp* you know. Now imagine you can have her in bed in less than twenty-four hours. Not knocking pizza guys, plumbers, or anybody but Ian was a bestselling author. Women, you’ll like the mad about you always gets the job done aspect. Until that desire turns into obsession and next thing you know. Cut to a guy being skeevy and wanting to get away. Crave is not a “starter” book for this genre since it jumps right in. As far as romance? Well, they did have dinner on occasion. However, the intimate aspects of the relationship are often direct.
The ending, now I fell way to fast into this story. Yes, I am counting that as a sin, I suppose when I’m looking for an escape; that’s not the author’s fault. Of course, personal preference but four stars is better than not reading it at all. It didn’t scare me away at all, for now, it’s an itch, like pizza or Chinese food from my favorite spot. You won’t regret this if you are willing to make the trip to go and get it and I will. Not like you need to take my word for it. The book, not the food ha. K.M. Scott has a library of books out and how did I get so lucky to find this one out of so many. Now it’s only leading me to many more.
A surprise from more book lovers. Like how Ian found his way to his drug addiction. By someone who liked his books and tuning into Netflix to see his woman before she even became his woman to be sure. Love if that’s what it is, was or will be between them can get you higher than anything on Earth. So I would like to take faith in but baring that for myself at the moment. I have to ask myself, What Will You Crave Next?
Crave is the first book in the Addicted To You series, which was previously known as the Silk series. It is an intense, raw and gripping series that deals with addiction and obsession. Do not go into this book thinking you will get a happily ever after at the end, because it will not happen in this book. This is the story of Ian Anwell, a New York Times best selling author of historical fiction and Kristina Richards is an actress, who Ian is drawn to by watching her movies, and he has to meet her, he needs her to become his muse. Both of these characters are flawed and each one knows what it is like to be addicted or obsessed, whether it be to drugs or another person. They both want to be accepted for who they are, they want to trust but that trust doesn't come easily. K.M. Scott has a way of making her characters come to life within the pages of a book, as the reader you can feel their happiness, sadness, confusion, and pain. Her characters in this book are far from perfect but they are doing the best they can under the circumstances that are their lives. This is a short, steamy, erotic and emotional read, that leaves the reader wondering if these two imperfect people will complete each other or tear each other apart. I give this one five very addictive stars and highly recommend it.
full disclosure: i gave up reading and switched to skimming somewhere around the second chapter.
i've been reading books recommended through amazon across genres mostly as research for my own writing, so i went into this book not expecting much since erotica usually gets boring and fast for me; i just didn't expect fast to be within the first two chapters. here's the thing. people have sex, for zero reasons beyond just getting their rocks off. but a book generally has a purpose for being written and this is clearly just a novella that exists to encase a bunch of sex scenes. the writing isn't actually bad, if kind of contrived, so i can't in good conscience give it less than two stars, but there's so little substance to the actual characters and plot. i had zero interest in either protagonist and they felt less like characters and more like a pair of barbies being smashed together for the hell of it. there's no actual chemistry between them, and no real chemistry within the writing itself, either. i've read enough and written enough to know that it isn't that hard to cobble together a little bit of a spark between two people.
CRAVE....an appropriate title for the beginning of K.M. Scott's series, ADDICTED TO LOVE, previously known as the SILK series. It deals with Ian Anwell, an author who fights daily with his addictions, and Kristina Richards, an actress who also has her own faults.
Even though both these characters have some flaws that they need to conquer, they are completely likeable. They are drawn to each other from the moment that they meet - but it soon becomes an obsession - one they both find difficult to fight. There are some very HOT and SPICY scenes between them, that will have you reaching for your fan.
Even though this is only short, the author packs a large amount of punch into it. It ends on a cliffhanger, but thankfully ADORE is already available. Loved CRAVE so much I couldn't put it down, now onto ADORE.

Ian is an author of historical novels. Kristina is a movie star. Ian becomes obsessed with her after watching her movies. He has an addictive personality and has been in rehab for Heroin use, but still uses alcohol as a crutch. She has had relationship problems. Men have used her to further their careers. They each have trust issues. Ian and Kristina become addicted to the attraction and sexually hot relationship they wind up in. Ian decides to write an erotic novel using Kristina as his muse. Kristina leaves Ian when she feels he has become too obsessed because it scares her. The last she hears from him is that he won't let her go. A great start to this series and the best part is you can keep reading their story.
I downloaded this a while ago and got around to reading it yesterdy whilst on a long journey. If not for the fact that I had nothing else new on my kindle, I think I would have DNF'd this book early on. I found the characters to be shallow and undeveloped; I had no interest in them at all. They seemed to be there to fill the story with sex scenes, in which the language was often quite cringworthy. As were some of the descriptions of Kristina's appearence. The writing itself was a problem for me as well, as I found many typos and passages which were jarring to read. I think the storyline could have been good, but the execution did not deliver for me.
A really enjoyable love story that takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions. This story is well written, the story is engaging and some steamy scenes. 'Crave' is book 1 of a 4 book Addicted to you series.
Ian, a historical fiction author and recovering addict, is obsessed with Kristina, an actress, before they even meet. That obsession is very quickly mutual, the chemistry between them is off the charts. They experience extreme highs and lows in their relationship.

Crave is the first book in the Addicted to You series which was previously known as the Silk Series. It is quite a raw and intense story of addiction and obsession.
This is , a story of 2 emotionally flawed characters Ian and Kristina they both just want to be accepted for themselves. This is a great short story that packs a punch and draws you in quickly, the characters suck you in and have you on the edge of your seat wondering if they will get their happy ending or tear each other apart.
I'm glad I am able to read the next book in the series straight away.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review from the Author
Wow, this story is so intense and a emotional rollercoaster ride, there were so many ups and downs I could not put it down. Ian and Kristina are both broken souls, but when they find each other they become addicted to one another like a drug. I can not wait for the other books in the series. I love K.M. Scott's writing style she always turns out 5 star reads for me. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
3.5 Stars I had trouble getting into the story at first but once Ian met Kristina then things started to get interesting for me. This is a new-to-me author and I thought this story was very well written with great sex scenes. A good start to this series where you can tell your going to in for one hell of a roller coaster ride of obsession, addiction and passion.
**ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review**
This is the first book in the series by this author. This is a great start to the story. A quick read but definitely lots packed into it. This is a very hot read which has the pages setting alight as you read. This book has a cliff hanger ending so have book 2 at the ready. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future. Highly recommended I voluntarily reviewed and advance reader copy of this book
This is just a beginning so I highly recommend having all 4 stories to read! What will happen when Ian suddenly become obsessed with Kristina just with seeing her n the screen? Will there be something more or just primal fascination. I would love to see more of Inan's thinking - but not only about sex, but about how he feels in general, as obsession can be SO powerful! Still really nice reading.
Gripping, erotic and emotional read. Kristina and Ian are flawed characters fighting their own demons of addiction and obsession. This story is fast paced and exciting, the characters were well developed and relatable. What will happen between Ian and Kristina. For a short novella, it's a great start to this series and new author to me.
CLIFF HANGER! I found the characters weak, shallow, and boring. And even after they both knew the other had an addiction problem, the heroine is suddenly afraid of the hero because he happened by her apartment, which is also in his neighborhood, and stood on the street longing for her. Didn't make any sense and seemed like a poor excuse for drama. Won't be reading anymore episodes of this SERIAL.
Ian a writer and good but his cravings get the best of him. He craved heroin and got clean. Put scotch in its place. Both weren't working. Until he saw her Kristina his new addiction and fantasy. He got both fulfilled but will he be able to keep this addiction
Ian is an author and an addict. Kristina is an actress. Their meeting and instant relationship were too easy. I thought there would be more struggle on Ian's part. There was plenty of steam but that was about it. The last chapter was the most interesting. It had the tension I expected throughout the story.
Did not like it. Maybe too juvenile? He is always saying that he is an addict (heroin and alcohol no less) over and over... and she seems to be inmature. I don't get them, that's all
This book is so addictive. I love the plot and dialogue. And the characters are awesome. If definitely recommend this book and I can't wait to read the next one
