4.5 stars. This is an incredible book that's written well. I just wish it had more pictures and drawings.

I enjoyed this book! I learned a lot about Sumer that I haven't known before I read it.

Very good for my homeschooled six year old she was super interested in the cuneiform and the tablets so we went to seeking more about it and the Gilgamesh.

less a research book and more a summary of Sumerian culture. This book is more suited as an intro to Sumeria, although even towards that end there are gaps in the timeline of rulers. I would like to have seen an actual timeline of Sumerian capitols and rulers.
