Willows Discovery is the third book in the Winters Sisters series. This series is full of everything, it has paranormal, suspense, romance and a little military action. I am not a fan of many paranormal books but this series has me coming back for more. I started this book thinking that it would be the last in the series, but Joanne left it open to be able to add to the series with another book or two. Which I hope is the case.
In the first book we learned that Biotec and The Kaleidoscope Group are working on altering DNA and that Victory is a world-renowned geneticist that possesses the ability to communicate with animals and has some telepathic abilities.
Book two focuses on Payton Winters. When the their parents died Payton took over the role as CEO of The Winters Corporation. Learning that her sister’s psychic abilities may be something that all of the sister have, but not known, because they have grown up with it.
Book three has us getting to know the last of the sisters, Willow. Willow's ability is more subtly but just as useful, she has the ability to see peoples auras. This is something that will be very helpful when they learn that they might have a spy in there midst and she is asked by the general to evaluate all of her employees and see if their auras are off, in hopes of finding the spy. This needs to be done along side of everything else while not raising any flags.
Wyatt, fells that Willow hates him, something always seems to be putting them at ends with each other. With the search for the spy Willow begins working closer to Wyatt to solve the mystery of who and why.
Can they filter out the spy before they find themselves in danger or will the spy tip off the boss. Or will they find themselves in danger once again?

Be still my heart, Joanne Jaytanie. You have made me love this series even more with Willow’s Discovery. Maybe it’s the appeal of the female scientist lead, (WOOT WOOT! GO Chick Scientists!) Willow or just the uniqueness to the story, but you never quite know what to expect with a Winter Sisters novel. Emotions run high as Wyatt struggles to protect Willow. Wyatt struggles trying to wrestle between his sense of duty and his heart when it comes to Willow. It doesn’t help that she likes to wander off when he’s supposed to be protecting her. With the emotional and romantic turmoil, Jaytanie has added a brilliant suspense element to Willow’s Discovery with a spy that Willow just can’t seem to take down. If you like twists and turns with romantic intrigue, you might want to head over to Amazon and pick this series up.

Some of you may read the blurb and think, oh no. Not Science! But, don’t let it derail you from trying out this series. Jaytanie balances out the science and romance portions of her books perfectly , making them easy to read for those of us who hated science in school. Being a paranormal book lover myself, I knew that Joanne’s series would make it easily into my top ten series reads. In a word where so many books are the same and predictable, Jaytanie has mastered the knack for creating different and engaging stories. Each book in this series is a scientifically romantic gem that paranormal lovers looking for something a little bit different than sexy vampires and shifters will enjoy. Willow’s Discovery is just another shining jewel to add to this amazing collection. Congratulations Joanne! It was marvelous!

Romantic suspense in and out of the lab…

This is the third book in the Winters Sisters series and finally, finally!, we get Willow’s story. Willow Winters was the science nerd in the family and seemed just a wee bit separated from, though no less loved by, her sisters. The suspenseful plot that has provided the underlying thread for the entire series is back in full force as Willow is front and centre in the line of danger. Wyatt Farraday is going to provide the protection that she needs, whether she wants it or not!
I love this series that revolves around three sisters who, while orphaned, have continued to be a close family while carrying on the legacy left by their parents. Doing that however has not been at a small risk for the sisters and this outing is no exception. Willow doesn’t want to admit it but Wyatt is exactly who she needs, both standing in front of her and beside her.

The threats are getting closer and more deadly as Willow and Wyatt are fighting a spy within their midst. While a romance, this story is no different than the previous ones as the mystery and intrigue are at the forefront of the plot. Saying that, because of that the two are given ample opportunities to knock heads and work out what they really feel and mean to each other. The sparks are flying as the two work towards their happily ever after but there questions still to be answered. I hope that means there is more coming!

In this third book of the Winters Sisters series, the saga continues. Oh. My. Gosh! This is an exciting…no wait, not just exciting…exciting as in can’t-turn-the-page-fast-enough-edge-of-your-seat-with-every-paragraph exciting!
Ms. Jaytanie has done it again…time after time she churns out what I deem the best book only to be fooled by the next one being better.
The sisters are smack in the middle of danger yet again and their body guards, who now have become like family (some true family) are challenged to keep them all safe from the clutches of the Kaleidoscope Group…yup, folks, they’re still wreaking havoc.
From the first word of the first paragraph the author throws you in the midst of this marvelous journey into molecular biology, suspense, family, and love. Her knowledge of this all subject matter contained in this book is topnotch as she tosses in some of her own personal wisdom and of course, her Dobermans.
The sweet romance that develops in this novel is incredible…from a glance to a smoldering ember, to a torrential flame…it sets a forever foundation for a couple of the characters.
You know a book is good when you spend hours at work daydreaming of what is next…when you dream the characters and can see them as if they are really friends and family that you want to help.
Willow’s Discovery is by far the best to date by Ms. Jaytanie. Please, if you haven’t picked up your copy of this fascinating read, do so today. It will have you on the edge of your seat as well.

This is the third in the series, they are best read in order.

Willow has moved back to the USA, and she and her sisters have built a scientific campus, dedicated to their research. Security is necessarily a very important part of their everyday lives. Sometimes it's nice to just get away on your own.
Wyatt is the head of security, and considers Willow and her penchant for wandering off, a pain. Things start to get very scary for Willow. Nobody knows who to trust, when it's obvious there is a spy in the campus. Even with her ability to see people's auras Willow still can't seem to find the guilty party.
Wyatt is having trouble getting Willow out of his head long enough to keep her safe.

This is a series that you can't help but be drawn right into. The various special abilities of our cast keep getting stronger and more complex. I am glad that what seemed to be just a trilogy is now growing into at least another two books. Personally I think Noah needs his story. He is such a lovely man.

Third book of the Winters Sisters series. This is an adrenaline packed, edge of your seat, roller coaster ride!

The sisters are still embroiled in danger and continually find out more about the serum their mother took to get pregnant with them. They find out they may not be as alone in the world as they thought. Their bodyguards are more like family, some are ! The threat from Kaleidoscope continues to interfere with their work and the threat of infiltration is never far away.

I loved the slow burn of passion between Willow and Wyatt. They can't see the wood for the trees, so much for them being supersmart and supersavvy! The dialogue is smart and snappy and plot whizzes along but without losing you on the way. And of course we have the cuteness of the doggies!!! I love them as much as the other characters!

I'm hoping against hope that there is more to come in this series by Ms. Jaytanie.

Willow

***ARC provided in exchange for a honest review***

What a tangled web you weave Joanne Jaytaine. This story was a mixture of intrigue & romance surrounded in suspense. The writing was superb with great characters, twists and turns around every corner, and an intensity that will leave you gasping for air. Willow was as stubborn as she was independent and Wyatt was just as intimidating which makes them the perfect match. The chemistry between the pair was smoking whether it's seething with anger towards one another, or an intense passion they can't deny, every emotion jumps off the page and entraps your heart. The storyline will have you hanging onto the edge of your seat and constantly turning the pages just to see what will happen next. I for one am addicted to this series and definitely can't wait to see what's in store next.

This book was BY far the best in the Willow Sister series! I literally could not put this book down until the end, and even then I had to reread it to absorb all the little pieces put together by Joanne. She has definitely entwined the mystery throughout this book and mixed in enough mental play between the characters to keep you thinking-just one more page, just one more page. Put this on your MUST read Fall list if you have not already.

The sisters have been through much with Payton and Victory both being kidnapped. Willow has had her fair share and her story is just as adventurous.

Her day starts with a shock as she enters her office and finds it has been broken in to and that things had been broken and everything turned out. Her first thought was to inform Wyatt of the break in. They always seem to rub each other the wrong way and she didn't know why.

Willow has just found out that reading auras is not a normal thing on top of that they have a leak. Wyatt head of teams has tasked her with the task of interviewing all employees and to find out who it could be.

So Willow, not very happy with Wyatt, clears her schedule and starts the interviews. Payton just sold the old Winters' Complex to get in some much needed cash flow but she and Collin had a special evening planned when the new buyer wished to look over the complex. Willow offered to go with a guard in tow she goes there but things needed switching on so she goes to the basement and is scared when someone calls her name and tries to find her. She escapes but finds the guard dead.

She runs trying to hide from that person. They have a dark foreboding aura which heightens her fear.

The team is alerted and go in search. They find her scratched up and bruised but well.

She is confined to home but has to get some files so she goes to the office. A storm knocks out power but the back up doesn't kick in. She is chased by someone with the same aura as the previous person. Scared, she screams in her mind for Wyatt.

Wyatt is resting when he hears Willow in his mind screaming for help. He acts straight away and gets the team out too. He advises Willow to stay still and goes after the intruder. Morgan pursues them when they get on a motorbike whilst Wyatt deals with Willow.

Willow was due to a conference she was allowed to go with Noah in tow. Whilst there she linked up with an old friend Cassidy. They got to talking and Cassidy told her about the problems she had. She would take Willow's vitamins and stole some. When she started her new job she started collapsing. One day she did it at work and was taken care of by the company. She was confined and tests done. When they finally let her go she changed jobs. Her boss was Dave Prescott during her illness. All this troubled Willow but they agreed to stay in touch.

Back to work, a parcel arrives that gets them going to London. Angie seemed unsettled. She found out more of her mother's items were on site. She went to sort them out and heard the same voice she heard in the complex. Wyatt came got her out.

She finds out who the voice is but he escapes. Going home she uncovers a mole, gets kidnapped twice and gets a different relationship with Wyatt.

There is much happening in the book but I gave it a 4* due to the kidnapping thing again. Three in a row no defensive training or even pepper spray. It was all just a little weak and very similar to the first two stories.

The characters are wonderful and the story arc marches on, but the fact they are 21st century women who are very bright but not bright enough for self defence training and some pepper spray is not a good aspect to the story.

I am still looking forward to the next story but hope there are no more kidnappings.

The story continues with Book 4 Corralling Kenzie

I loved the first two books in this series and wanted to read this one I just knew it was going to be as exciting and thrilling as the other were. The sisters are in danger as they learn more about their mother and the serum she made. The sisters have moved and built a scientific compound as they work on more research danger is never far away. It is more important than ever to keep their research safe. The security team is never far away, the head of this team is Wyatt who thinks the owner are real pain since they keep wandering off making his job harder. He takes his job seriously and does his best to keep them all safe even when it seem Willow does her best to do everything he said not to.

Danger is near and not knowing who to trust when they find out there is a spy in the mix tempters get high. Poor Willow with her abilities can’t even find the person in question. As things heats up Wyatt fights his attraction for Willow which makes it hard to think clearly and keep her safe. I think they make a great match both being stubborn. Their anger and passion lead to some very interesting reading and the suspense keeps you on the edge of your seat.

I really enjoyed the slow build up of Willow’s and Wyatt’s romance. With all her powers she can’t see what is right before her eyes. The plot is great, as well as the characters. The danger is real and so is the passion. It was great to the sisters and see how their lives are going. I thought this was a thrilling, exciting read that holds your attention, throwing a few twists in to make it interesting. The story is very intriguing and filled with suspense and the passion is hot just loved it. It was a story I couldn’t put down. I loved the first two that were on audio and I sure hope this one comes out as well, it would make a great listen.

Oh my! This series is getting better and better. I mean I really have to give Joanne Jaytanie props, she is an amazing author.

Book 3 is leading with Willow’s story. Willow is slowing discovering her abilities. Wyatt is always on her case and they fight like cats and dogs. Willow is on a mission to find out what her mother was really working on and help Victory find a formula to buffer Collin’s DNA. As Willow is following the bread crumbs, she has someone who is stalking her. They are leaving her cryptic notes and she does not know who to trust. Wyatt is the one who is her constant at every turn. Will Willow and Wyatt put there differences aside and get along long enough to find the stalker? Will Wyatt be able to save Willow and keep her from becoming the next person to turn up dead?

In this book the story is continuing to unfold and we finally get to learn who some of the key players in the KG are. I mean these people are so deep in this it is scary. Not only that but Willow discovers a big secret her mother has kept from them. Wyatt Mr. Single hot man commander fights the strange feelings he has for Willow. Noah becomes real close to Willow. The story is a real page turner. I have been on the edge the whole time wondering what is gonna happen next. I am ready to read book and am very nervous that it will end in a cliff hanger and I will be stuck with a WTF and going into withdrawals. The characters are getting better and better. They are forming a strong bond and becoming more like a family. If you haven’t picked these up yet, you better hurry. I mean what are you waiting for!!! These are freaking amazing. Off to book….wish me luck!

Willow's Discovery is book three in the series and is all about Willow and Wyatt. Willow manages the company and has been in London . But when she came home to help her sisters, her life became a target . Wyatt is the man to help her and keep her safe. They battle like cats and dogs but they finally realize that they are the best together . There is also an added mystery that comes to light about their mother and the research they are doing . Which very well could get them killed by KG . Will they survive to realize that they belong together .
I must say the stories get better and better with each story read . The characters are becoming more and more complex . We are finding out more and more about the drugs and the KG . I love Wyatt and Willow . They are such a fun couple they can fight and make up and then be there for each other. I actually think they are my favourite characters so far. Victory and the rest of the gang is also back . Helping out where they can and keeping Willow safe .
I am truly loving these books and can't wait to read the next one . The author loves to take us on a journey. We want to cheer for the characters and we react when they are hurt . You should read them in order so you know what is going on .

This is the third Winter's sister story. I have read Victory and Payton's books awhile ago and I don't know why I waited so long to read Willow's story. As Willow is tasked with finding out who the mole in their company is the Kaleidoscope Group is still out to wreck havoc. As Wyatt and Willow mesh like oil and water they have to work together to keep her safe. As Willow's life is threatened over and over they soon become closer and before they know what hit them they discover their feelings for each other.

I will say that I love all of the characters paranormal/enhanced abilities and that really makes the stories for me. This story was non stop angst, threats to Willow's life and surprises that I did not see coming. I loved trying to guess who the mole was. The best part was how the sisters learned more and more about her parents. They learned some surprising twists.

This story drew me in. From the first sentence to the last, I was hooked.
Willow, the third triplet of the sisters, uncovers more information that there's more stuff the Kaleidoscope Group is doing. The plot thickens as she discovers a mole within the Winters Corporation.
Wyatt, Tristan's brother and captain, doesn't understand why Willow won't follow orders. She's absolutely stubborn, causing him more grief.
Loved it. Couldn't put it down.

Willow is strong willed not much worse than the other sisters but she sure does fall into more messes than they did as she continues to dig into the death of her parents and unravel the mystery they find themselves in the middle of. She is constantly falling into some trap and getting caught unawares. For being so smart she sure is keeping everyone busy rescuing her. Once she stops running her chance at love finally has a chance.

Winter is icumen in,
Lhude sing Goddamm,
Raineth drop and staineth slop,
And how the wind doth ram
And Winter is the Winter Sisters, Victory, Payton and Willow. Each with their own special gift and ability and each falling in love with a different soldier in the elite squad of Army, Navy and Airforce.
The series I am reviewing contains 3 novels by Joanne Jaytanie, the latest published being Willow’s Discovery, published this October, which I read first through NetGalley.
This series is far from finished as far as I am concerned, as although each sister now has a mate – there is so much more that can happen to other characters and in the story-line.
So yes, I started with Willow’s Discovery and was only a quarter of the way through when I realised I wanted to read the first 2 books as well. I could read the 3rd book first but it would have been better to read them in the correct order.
Now the story line of all 3 concerns DNA being manipulated to give us extra fierce soldiers –this isn’t a new idea. The concept of the formidable soldier is common in fantasy but for me what was new was that the characters were splicing wolf genes into the soldiers to make them bigger, stronger, and fiercer.
And two of the alpha males – yes they are all alpha males in this story as they are members of the elite squad mentioned above - have been experimented on with these wolf genes with very different results. But many of the males and females in this series have extra abilities and they haven’t had wolf genes added, and the question never answered (but it was raised) in the books is - was there some gene manipulation going on in utero?
Interestingly, I am now reading another series of books where again canine DNA is inserted into soldiers to make them fiercer – the fantasy series of Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, Winter and Fairest.
Having come across this idea by two authors I thought I would look into what was happening with canine DNA and why this idea had come to these authors. And to my surprise found that canine DNA was being used for disease studies in humans [see the articles from the dmm.biologists organisation; National Geographic; Genome Research].
It appears that dogs get similar diseases to humans with the same genetic and environmental factors involved. These genes relate to diet and digestion, and neurological processes and disease which have evolved parallel in both species due to living in the same shared environment. These shared diseases include obesity, OCD, epilepsy, and cancers especially breast cancer (cancer is twice as common in dogs as in humans), and retinal diseases including cataracts.
Dogs only share 84% of our DNA as compared to chimpanzees – 98.8%, monkeys – 93% and mice 90%, but we share some 360 genetic disorders with them, even though some of these only occur in 40% of dog breeds such as the Doberman Pinchers with inherited narcolepsy which has enable scientists to understand the molecular mechanisms of regulating sleep. And the last item explains something about why these stories include Dobermans as they were clearly being used in the genetic research of the organisation. And I also looked into Tollers as they were a new breed of dog to me. Not that that’s saying a lot as there are so many new breeds appearing at the moment...
So the basic stories were about criminal behaviour, kidnapping, torture and unusual experiments and general mayhem and brave deeds by the alpha males with feisty females assisting using their special powers. A good mix of fantasy and war stories, with some organised fraud and crime thrown in for good measure.
I really enjoyed all 3 of these books and am inclined to give them all 5 stars.

Publisher's Description:

Willow’s next discovery could get her killed.

Willow Winters has been safely ensconced in London managing the international division of the Winters Corporation. But the vicious Kaleidoscope Group is relentless in its pursuit of the Winters sisters and their scientific breakthroughs. They’ve planted a mole in the company ranks, making Willow’s paranormal abilities crucial in the search for the traitor. Unearthing this spy will expose Willow as a threat and put her squarely in the sights of the murderous Kaleidoscope Group.

Wyatt Farraday is a military liaison to the Winters Corporation. Consumed with keeping Victory and Payton Winters alive, he’s had no life of his own. Now the third triplet has returned home and his job just got exponentially harder. Willow outdoes her sisters in the hardheaded department. She’s independent and can take care of herself and she doesn’t need Wyatt to watch out for her. But Wyatt’s determined to watch her in every way he can.

My Review:

Willow, the third and final triplet, Is more at ease in the science lab than the romantic social scene. When danger from the inside encroaches on the brilliant woman Wyatt Faraday informs Willow she will be protected by him whether she wants him around or not. Truth be told Willow is more attracted to Wyatt than she wants to admit. Romantic suspense at its best. Through in military and scientific intrigue and you have another story that holds something that appeals to nearly every genre.

The mystery aspect plays a more center role in the book, but I have been waiting for Faraday to find his match and to get to know Willow more than just as the third sister. If you enjoy a good read that won't let you go once you read the first paragraph then pick up a copy of Willow's Discovery. Though be warned this series should be read in order. Lucky for us each one is a thrill to read. My rating of Willow's Discovery is 4.75 out of 5 stars.

Joanne Jaytanie's "Willow's Discovery" is the third tale in the Winters Sisters series. Love the mythology and the bigger storylines in the series. I really like the soul mate communications. Willow is a tough leading lady. I like the dynamic between Willow & Wyatt. Each love story in this series has its own character. I can't wait to read #4!
