Moe and Arlene are best friends and work together at Frozen Cow Ice Cream. Moe wins a slogan contest and moves up the corporate ladder but isn't as happy without his friend.

This is a fun book. I thought the illustrations were really nice. And the story with its (rather obvious) lesson is pretty good, too. I don't think I would be able to pull this off for a storytime, because the pictures can be a lot to take in. But a lap-read would be just fine. And while I wouldn't mind book talking this one, it doesn't quite fit in with the Sweet Treats theme I had in mind. Touches on it, but isn't obvious enough. If I need a filler, maybe I'll put this one in.

I was a bit surprised to see this was written by the same author who did a book I read in the last year and loved--Bella at Midnight.

Sweet tale about the importance of good friends and how money and prestige does not equal happiness.

The illustrations are cute, but I thought it was a bit odd that the anthropomorphic dogs live in a human's world. Usually it's all people or all animals. It's a bit corny, but it's a fun story to read aloud. We enjoyed reading this story together.

The theme of this book is far too grown up for children. And since it is a picture book, where does it belong?
