My Perfect Fit

Rate this book
Maddox thought the hardest part of his relationship with Bryan would be just getting it started. He was wrong.

Learning how to be the Dom and Daddy that Bryan needs is harder than he ever imagined. Each new step in their relationship is a learning experience he’s not sure he’s ready to handle. He wants to make the right decisions, but he’s afraid he doesn’t know how.

Bryan thought the hardest part of his relationship with Maddox would just be admitting that he wanted one. He was wrong.

Opening up to Maddox has been hard enough, but when it becomes clear Maddox wants to find friends that understand the lifestyle, Bryan isn’t sure he can handle it. When he can barely share what he needs with Maddox, how is he supposed to talk about it with someone else?

3.5 - the relationship between Maddox and Bryan is building and a greater trust is gained. I like the chemistry between these two and while I’m not a big fan of age play I enjoy their dynamic. Maddox is clearly loving his Daddy role and Bryan has embraced his baby needs. I’m not a fan of the baby side but hey, no kink shaming here !

The first book really needs to be read if you truly want to understand how Maddox and Bryan's relationship developed, and how it continues to become stronger. This book reads like it's only been weeks since that they started this dynamic. They only have the summer off from college...and their time away is quickly winding down...but their budding "Daddy Dom/sub" relationship is growing stronger by the day...and they know that returning to college is going to change some things. This story is about how they are working hard to stay together and make everything just work no matter where they are.

This summer break was a learning experience for both of them. Maddox is learning more about what he likes in the lifestyle and how to take care of Bryan and be the best Dom and "Daddy" for his "boy". Shy Bryan is learning to be more open and share his own wants and needs with his "Daddy". Together their chemistry is off the charts. The well-meaning friends and overly aggressive flirts from the lake that we met in the first book are back and being just as annoying as ever. I can't understand why they even had a part in these books except that maybe they gave Maddox and Bryan a lesson in choosing your friends carefully, or so that Maddox and Bryan would learn how important it is that they keep their attention focused on each other.

There are warm, loveable and understanding characters throughout, (except for the lake gang) ...There's Byran's understanding and accepting mother, Richard and Sophie, who are new friends from the adult toy-store who share good advice from a long-time experience, and Bryan's elderly neighbor whose lawn ornament Bryan destroyed with the lawn mower. They all add so much to an already perfect story. Now on to book 3.

Sigh...last one in this little series, but knowing M. A. Innes... I literally have a shelf full of her books...there will be lots of other great reads. I know everyone has different "likes" in any genera, but I can't recommend her books enough if you like M/M Romances.

I really like Maddox and Bryan. Here's my problem. I felt like we went nowhere in this book. Bryan still is embarrassed about everything. And when I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING! The way he is written I'm surprised he's made it to adulthood and is able to survive in college on his own.

Don't get me wrong, I realize there is kink shame out there, but seriously this storyline needs to move forward. They are both amateurs. We get it. We got it in the first book. Let's move to something different.

I also struggled with their anger with their friends asking questions. I mean they figured out they were in a D/s relationship. Who cares?? If they don't care, why on earth were they so mad about it. I just didn't get that.

I'm really hoping the next book moves forward more...

4 stars. Much better than the first book. There was more emphasis on the plot and the actual relationship between Maddox and Bryan which was severely lacking in the first one.

Everything was a good balance. There was quite a few great relationship moments and the smut was still there so it was a win/win. I really like Bryan and Maddox and I think they both went through decent enough character development in this book, especially Maddox who really takes on his role and steps up big time, but I'm curious to see how they'll be by the end of the series.

So fair it's a fun, dirty, quick and kind of cute in a weird way series. I'm looking forward to getting to the next book.

The continuation of Brain and Maddox's story, they explore more of Brain's kink which is becoming Maddox's kink too, he just didn't know it before. Their love and trust of each other is so sweet. Maddox is so amazing, being open to explore and learn what makes Brian tick is so erotic and arousing.

I'm not going to rate this one because I had a feeling I wouldn't like it before I started it. The age play is too regressive for my tastes. If you book one was a little squicky for you, this one builds on those things and deepens the baby play. Not my cup of tea, but if you like that kind of thing then you should keep reading. I won't be continuing the series.

These books are slow going but it's nice to see their relationship evolve. Plus, who doesn't love a good week-long orgasm denial.

From His Missing Pieces to My Perfect Fit .
This book continues from where book 1 finished,
and boy are you all in for a treat....

Maddox and Bryan both felt that the other was the perfect fit for themselves.
Mad , fine tuning his Daddy skills ,making sure his boy was taken care of
in absolutely every aspect of their lives together.
From feeding , to napping , to cleaning , to so much more, Daddy took care of his boy.
Without realising, his inner Dom was feeding the control freak side of his character .

Bryan was just too happy to surrender every choice and decision that he needed to make.
All he had to do was just let his Daddy tell him what to do and just feel , not think.

With the introduction of some new toys and "special times" ,
and some new friends from the "Lifestyle" this is one hell of a hot book.
The author has written a well researched, well written, beautiful love story,
between two very sweet , shy and all round complex young men.
l seriously cannot wait for the next phase in Mad and Bryan's adventures.

An ARC was given as part of a book club.

Bryan and Maddox are still finding their way in their new ageplay relationship, and I love it. It's still summer break, so they are still at Bry's mom's house. They go farther this time, and they interact with more people, some good and others pushy and nosy.
I enjoy the way Maddox approaches his role as Daddy. He pushes B, but not beyond what he can handle. He is serious and loving with punishments and rewards, and he always makes sure Bryan knows how much he cares. These two are such a believable couple, and I want to continue their path with them.
The first book should be read before this one. Both are sexy, sweet, and full of love. This series is so good!
I received an advance copy of this book in return for an honest review.

I loved this continuation of Maddox & Bryan's story. Maddox is learning to be the best Daddy he can be. It felt real seeing him question himself, trying to decide what is best for both Bryan & himself.

Watching both Maddox & Bryan learning together felt really positive. Exploring their kink, pushing each other but neither man fully confident yet. I really felt the love & the trust between them.

A super sweet and sexy book. Loved them both. Can't wait for book 3.

I received an ARC from the author.

My 9th book by this author in a row. Part of me wants to finish — at least the arches on Bryan/Maddox and Kevin/Jeremy — but I think it may be time to sneak in another book, preferably something darker.

Age play isn’t one of my kinks, but I’ve enjoyed exploring it. Of M.A. Innes’ books, I think Ryland’s story is still my favorite. Part of it is clearly how I relate to the characters, but I think I prefer the slightly older age play.

It’s odd, reading about Bryan & Maddox from Kevin & Jeremy’s perspective, I thought Maddox was older than Bryan. His dynamic with Bryan seemed to mirror Jeremy’s with Kevin. Not in terms of private kinks, but in taking care of their partner, if that makes any sense. Like Maddox with the fledgling accounting business and Jeremy with the fledgling graphic design business. But I guess that was all Dom/sub, Daddy/baby boy.

But I should review this book, or these as I skipped book 1, as opposed to the odd order I’m reading this cluster of related series.

*****

Bryan and Maddox are college roommates and best friends. Maddox is sexually attracted to Bryan, but Bryan doesn’t appear to be interested. In fact, it took awhile before Maddox even realized Bryan was gay. His entire sexuality was that suppressed.

Maddox tried dating, but felt like he was cheating, because his heart already belonged to Bryan. So when summer vacation arrived, Maddox readily accepted Bryan’s offer to come home with him so they could both relax. No classes, no summer jobs.

The first night at Bryan’s house, Maddox crashed while Bryan caught up with his mom. Fortuitous timing had Maddox coming down to the kitchen and catching Bryan’s declaration of love, and his concerns that his brand of sexuality were just too outside the box for Maddox.

Previously vanilla Maddox, always the planner, dove deep into online research trying to figure out what he liked, what he could deal with, and if there were any kinks that would keep him and Bryan apart. Maddox decided furries and clowns were beyond his comfort zone, and he wasn’t up for really hurting Bryan, but everything else was a possibility. Dom/sub power dynamics drew him, and spanking, he really liked the idea of spanking Bryan.

Maddox realized he was going to have to take control and push Bryan into revealing his secret kink. Sitting together with Bryan between his legs, lying back against Maddox’s chest they played hot-cold with kinks.

“Good. I want to please you. You’re my best friend but more, and I want to show you how much more you mean to me, but I can’t do that when you’re keeping important pieces of yourself from me.” How could I explain this? “You’re not going to believe that I mean what I’m saying until everything’s out in the open, but I love you enough that it won’t matter what it is.”

I tried to think of all the different kinds of power stuff I’d seen online last night, there were lots. “If you want me to call you my slave and leash you, that wouldn’t scare me. If you wanted me to call you my pup or my little kitten and…well, I’m not sure what I’d do with that one but maybe a leash for that too, then we’ll try. I know you haven’t dated much or experimented with someone else, but we can figure it out. If you want to call me Master and be my little sub we can explore it together.”

And there it was, just a little bit of a hitch in his breathing. Not enough of a reaction for me to have guessed right, but I think it meant I was getting closer.

“I’m getting closer, aren’t I?”

I could hear Bryan swallow and it seemed to take a lot of effort but he finally seemed able to respond. I expected another nod but this time I got a squeaky little, “Yes. Closer.”

“I’m proud of you. That was very good.” He tilted his head and ran his cheek over my chest and I was suddenly damning the fact that we’d put on shirts as we were leaving the lake. I wanted to feel him rubbing against me and I wanted to touch him so bad I could almost taste it…taste him. When he peeked up at me, it was almost like he was still waiting for me to finish the sentence.

He obviously liked the praise, but what was I missing?

That was very good babe…pet…no, it wasn’t a puppy kink…love…no, not the right kind of thing. It needed more meaning for him…power play…power exchange…Doms and subs…hmmm…maybe? At the very least, he wouldn’t be shocked even if I guessed wrong. “I’m very proud of you, Baby Boy. You’re being very good…” I paused, watching the blush rise on his face but he didn’t look away; he bit his lip and gave me a small nod as I finished the sentence, “for Daddy.”

Maddox took to Bryan’s kinks fairly easily. He enjoyed the control, the power dynamic. He enjoyed taking care of Bryan. He enjoyed exploring things together.

Book 1 & 2 are back to back explorations that first summer together.

Aside from reading book #1-His Missing Pieces, I have never read a series quite like this. I understand this author is well known for writing about topics considered in our society as "taboo". It is a well written story. It really amazes me how quickly Maddox fully and completely embraces Bryan's kink, without hesitation. He truly loves Bryan and wants to be supportive in ALL areas of his life, especially when it comes to his kink. Maddox takes time to research websites, and asks questions to get a better understanding of Bryan's needs and how he can be supportive. Bryan is EXTREMELY SHY and has and interesting way of communicating what he's feeling and what he needs (although he begins to express his feelings more) Maddox learns to read his body language, etc. so he can understand Bryan's needs and be there for him 100%. Bryan loves Maddox and begins letting down his walls and puts a lot of trust in Maddox. This book delves deeper into Bryan's kink and how he and Maddox interact on a daily basis. Book 3 due out in Aug should be as interesting and intense.

Maddox has such an open mind and big heart I can't imagine anyone more perfect for Bryan. Not only does his roll as Bryan's Daddy come natural to him but it is a roll he takes seriously. He isn't just taking the power that Bryan has given him and running with it. He is doing the thinking, planning, and research to make things as perfect as he possibly can and he is doing a wonderful job of it.

I think that many people would enjoy this book whether they are in to age play or not. The love and connection between the MC's is what comes across first with the heavy eroticism that the age play brings coming in a close second.

In my review for the first book I spoke about how the diapers and bottles are not really my thing but maybe that isn't quite true anymore. While still not something I think I would want to try in real life, I could actually see myself actively searching for similar stories to read.

3.5 stars! I feel like I'm a bit in the minority here but I didn't love this one. It was good and I enjoyed it but it took me a while to get through, unlike the first book which I read in one sitting. This is an interesting kink to read about and I've read other books by this author that were brilliant.

In the first book I found Bryans' shyness to be endearing and sweet but towards the end of this one I was starting to get frustrated. He's living out his biggest fantasies with someone who has made it very clear to him that he loves him and accepts him no matter what yet sometimes he's so mortified he can barely breath or speak.

I'll definitely read the next one as I'm interested how they will progress in their relationship, I'm just hoping Bryan might grow some balls by then!

(This review is for all three books since I read them back to back) This one hit all my buttons: two strong, sweet main characters who build a friendship before they enter into relationship territory. I love how protective Maddox was of Bryan, and how he helped him accept that part of his sexuality. Bryan's mom was amazing (I'm always excited to see supportive parents in LGBTQ fiction, since it's so often an extra source of conflict and angst). The relationship was super sweet, and the book is way more about the relationship than about the kink and the sex (but if you've read any other books by this author, you'll know to expect this).

I immediately started reading the last book in this series.

This continues not long after the first book ended, Maddox and Bryan's relationship becomes stronger as the weeks goes on and they delve deeper in to their now shared kinks.

Maddox is learning more about what he likes in the lifestyle and how to take care of Bryan, being the best Dom and Daddy for his baby boy.

With Bryan learning to open up and embracing his own desires, their chemistry goes off the charts and well-meaning old school friends and flirts can keep their attention from each other.

I'm enjoying their story immensely and the deeper dive in to their age-play lifestyle.

Another great installment in Maddox and Bryan’s series! I adore them and loved seeing more of their relationship and it’s development in this. There were so many great scenes! And the open communication was *chef’s kiss!* I loved the intimacy between them and their strong connection; it really showed🥰😭. Maddox is the best daddy, has really stepped up, and is so loving, dominant, and open-minded, and Bryan is so sweet, nervous, and submissive. I love their dynamic. They truly support and care for each other and fit together so well! Can’t wait to read more.❤️

I don't really like stories with the same MC's as the main character but with these two I just can't get enough. They are adorable but also extremely hot. Its definitely not a read in public story unless you don't mind being like Bryan and squirming in public lol. Highly recommend and can't wait for there next story.

Hott but bogged down by pacing

I think the play time was a lot hotter in this book than the last, with great descriptions. However the direct continuation of the previous story means little advancement in plot, which bogs down the story. But I’ve noticed that with this author, so if it hasn’t bugged you with their other works you won’t care with this one.

Beautifully written

I love that Maddox and Bryan get to explore their Daddy/Little relationship more deeply during this book, and over the course of this series than in just a stand alone.

The more we see into their partnership, the more lovely it becomes.

Experiment!

Two men have now experimented together in a lifestyle that suits them both so much. Not having known about each other's desires took along time coming. Their friendship in College has helped them, knowing that neither would judge. Cant wait to read more.

So I honestly don’t know what the issue is. It’s not bad, I like it quite a bit and I do like both Maddox and Bryan, but for some reason I just don’t want to continue the story. I’m probably missing out but there is 2 more books about them and I feel like there is not much to tell.

Figuring out their relationship. Weird drama with not-friends. IDK, I obviously kept reading, but this story is not tight.

Notes: Age play w/ limited regression, ABDL (with wetting), o denial, impact play
