a real treat

I loved this. A great anthology of modern poetry with a cd of the poets reading their own work. I am not a great reader of modern poetry, but I think I am exactly the readership this book is aimed at. As interesting to me was the last part of the book which recounted the whole history of Bloodaxe which is a great story and full of passion for poetry which makes me, as a prose reader, want to read more and in particular, books by this publisher.I'm just going to explore their list now...

A must read (haven't yet viewed the dvd that comes with it). Brilliant way to discover unfamiliar voices, and to reconnect with those one thought one knew, but hears again in a different light...

I could quibble with one or two of the inclusions, but I won't....or not in public at least.

What a varied collection of talent. With poetry books, I read through once, and then flip through as the mood strikes me. There were more than a few times with this collection that I needed bookmarks.
