This was an average but not bad PR read right up to the 70% mark. I felt like the whole situation with the heroine's father (especially in the end) was totally unbelievable, if not ludicrous.
Was a nice quick read wish it could have been a little more paranormal to it, just kinda felt like a normal suspense with a wolf at the end... but ok it wasnt bad
Not bad. I didn't get the instant connection to the characters that I tend to whenever I read PR. But I tend towards the more lighthearted, funny stories. (Or at least stories with some lighthearted fun in there somewhere.)
A few typos/goofs an editor could easily fix. A story that's not too steamy, and not that deep. (Not deep at all, in fact.) Still, not bad for a one hour read.
A Special After Special Ops Shifter Story OVER 18 READING
A family of ex Special Ops guys, two sets of brothers who were also cousins and the sons of twin brothers. Their father 's were born human but they volunteered for experiment program in the military that turned them into wolf shifters, their sons were born shifters. Roan was one of the four. They did jobs that they were told to do without questions till Roan didn't he protected the girl he was ordered to kill. Then he took her to safety , he wouldn't tell her where he was taking her just she would be save and he didn't tell her what he and his brother and cousins were. Their story is very good, their fights are kind of funny, but because of who was trying to kill her and a wolf protecting her she had to discover what he was. They have to separate but between them still wanting to get together and his family and his boss help each with what they want to do without telling the other.
Overall, this wasn't bad, and it obviously kept my interest. However, there were some interesting proofing errors - words that didn't belong; missing words; and, most commonly, two pronouns for the price of one. Also, some odd word choices - why would one use hotness when we have heat available?
It did really bother me when Roan, their very best tracker, managed to not smell something on a couple of very useful (for the plot), but completely unbelievable, occasions.
And enjoyable read. I found this novel about wolf shape-shifters an entertaining story. Hope meets Roan and they end up eventually developing stronger feelings for one another than they ever thought possible. But as danger finds them, they face the fact neither one of them may survive with Hope's own father trying to hunt her down and kill her. Overall, an enjoyable, quick-pased read & I look forward to the second story in this series.
One of the most Exciting books I've read in a while
There wasn't s full moment in this story between Hope running for her life and Roan protecting her while the romance wrapped around it all. Ava Benton even threw some heat in there for those of us who need that. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
I liked this book. The only reason I didn't love it was because the ending seemed a bit rushed to me.nThe relationship did too. I would expect that from a fated mates book but that was not mentioned. I think a little bit more from the male lead's point of view would make it not seem rushed. The action was very good and keeps the reader engaged.
Hope is on the run with nowhere to hide. Roan is on a hunt that he'll never forget. Will this end in tragedy or is there a possibility of a happily ever after...
I really enjoyed this story and the characters. As opposed to other shifter stories, Roan and his family seem a little lost in the world. This does not take seat from the story it adds to it.
The father angle is new, I have never read that or similar before. But I find these shorter books finish quickly and always leave me thinking about different bits that should be more in depth.
Not the best shifter book I've read if I'm honest. The storyline wasn't really that good and the characters were worse. I felt no connection between the leads but of course they were in luuuv by the end!? Found it free.
They could turn into dire wolves. They had been dishonorable discharges from the army. They are now working covert ops for private company. Their mission is to find runaway but nothing is simple. Exciting action packed. I liked it a lot.
