This was the debut novel of Ashe Moon and it is fantastic. 👏 Really, I didn’t have high hopes going into reading this book since I was only expecting fluffy, cute and sexy alpha/omega mpreg book but I was wrong. It was so much more than that. 😌 I really loved the storyline, characters and plot. 😍 I just wish it’s a bit longer.

Trestan is not your average docile and obedient omega. Born from one of the wealthiest families in the country, his alpha father is a legendary fighter and his omega father, a very successful healer. Unlike most omegas, his fathers encouraged him to become a fighter and his alpha father trained him mentally and physically since he’s a child. He’s a loner and kind of distant with everyone at the Dawn FAS (Fighting School Academy) and all other alpha students look down on and condescend him too. As the first born and only child of Ice River pack leaders and as an omega, he has responsibilities that he find way too heavy to carry sometimes.

Loch - tall, dark, handsome, a playboy macho alpha. As the third alpha in Crescent Moon Pack, he sometimes doesn’t know his place in his pack and the world. So he played and fooled around with girls to escape from his home and reality. He always tried to be friendly to Trestan although he does feel like that snobby omega is a stuck-up brat. However, he can’t deny the fact that despite Trestan being an omega, he’s a faster and better fighter than him.

And these two frenimes soon learnt that as a mean to end their packs’ century-long feud and to help both packs’ delicate and complicated situations, they are supposed to marry and live together. 😁 Oh, but that’s not the end, not only that, their parents expected them to produce an heir for Ice River pack. 😂👏 How are they going to spend every day and night together alone in a house when all they do is argue and fight whenever they face each other?

I love their frenimies chemistry between them. It was realistic, attractive and funny. I also love how their opinions on each other changed after they got married and how they learnt the secret sides of their mate that they didn’t know. The building up of sexual tension is just electric. 😍 Omg, so delicious. 😋 I love how everything turned out in the end and I’m very happy that this story has an epilogue. Really a great job for a debut novel. 👏 I just wished there’d be more smut and the novel didn’t end at 80%. But given the fact that this is available on KU, I’m not complaining much. I also want to talk a bit about the cover, don’t get me wrong it’s gorgeous but in the novel, one MC has white hair so it’d be better if one of the cover models has white hair. I mean wigs are invented for this purpose! Hello! 🖐😂 However, despite those minor flaws, this was a very delightful read. 😊

Favorite excerpts from the novel: 💙💚💜

”That pit inside me widened, and I felt a deep ache that I’d never felt before. All sorts of thoughts and ideas rushed through my mind. A child from a love I would now never meet. That man’s unknown face, and all the experiences of love that would never happen. A happy family.”

“It is a life trial. It has no end, and will continue to test you and push you every day. Do not let yourself become disheartened, and do not allow yourself to be broken.”

“seeing how incredible he was, how strong, how perfect—it’d become immediately obvious to me that Tresten was my soulmate. It was the only explanation for everything that was happening, and how damn perfect he was for me.”

⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱*What a letdown*⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱

This was a bit ridiculous. I mean, it's a shifter story, yet, I just felt like it was about martial art. I didn't feel the difference between a alpha and a omega, I didn't feel like there was packs, in fact, I didn't feel like this was a paranormal read at all. Hell, there was even a marriage that was completed with a written paper. Where was the animal instinct? Where was the mating? The animalistic side? And where's the explanation on why they are attending a school where they learn to fight? Is it just for honer? Do the humans know they exist? Do humans go to the school? Do - I need to stop talking and stop asking questions that I'm not sure I'll ever get answers for. Also, what was up with all the weird names the characters had?
“Something is happening,” I said with a little grin when our lips separated.
“Tell me about it.”

Anyway, the book centers around a headstrong Ice River Pack omega, Tresten Croc (20) and the jockish playboy, a Crescent Moon Pack alpha, Loch Luna (22). All Tresten wants is to get the rank of master fighter. All Loch wants is to make his family proud. Together, they were forced into a marriage that they didn't want. Things change quickly though... Overall, there was insta-love, and that's enough said. I hate insta-love. Also, there was barely any plot and I had expected a whole lot more about shifters, but got a story about martial art.
This was only the start of our adventures together. This was just the beginning of our love.

Quick basic facts:
Genre: - (Adult) Paranormal Romance (M/M)
Series: - Series, (Can Be Read As A Standalone), Book One.
Love triangle? -
Cheating? -
HEA? -
Favorite character? - Loch Luna.
Would I read more by this author/or of series? - Not really.
Would I recommend this book/series? - No.
Will I read this again in the future? - No.
Rating - 2 stars.

I more or less enjoyed the Dragon Firefighters series, so I thought I'd give the Luna Brothers a try.

Alas, this book is ridiculous!

There's no world building or character development, and the romance is possibly the most unbelievable case of insta love I've ever read. The MCs go from mild enemies who annoy each other to soulmates in one week.

Even the shifter aspect doesn't make sense. During the wedding ceremony, the MCs both shift to wolves to add a paw print to the wedding certificate and then shift back with no disturbance to their clothing. Yet later when Loch shifts to his wolf form so Tresten can cuddle with him, he has to disrobe because he doesn't want to rip his clothes.

I just had so many questions: Where are the humans? Do they know about shifters? Are there academic classes at the fighting school or do the students just fight all day? What happens after graduation? Is fighting like a job?

Furthermore, when Tresten goes into heat, he gets a black streak in his hair. This has a negative impact on his fighting skills. The only way to get rid of the streak is to get pregnant. So do omegas continously go into heat and don't get their full strength back until they get pregnant? If it's just a cycle of heat and pregnancy, how does Tresten graduate as a master fighter after having one kid?

None of this made sense! I'm all about putting on your fiction shades, but this story is beyond silly and unfocused.

New author, first book in a new series, and I was surprisingly pleased with the writing quality and the storytelling!

OK, so I'm not quite sure why there is a fighting academy (I kept picturing like a martial arts karate school) and what purpose it really serves once you complete the training, but I LOVE me some alpha/omega AND forced marriage type of stories! What a great combo!

I loved Tresten and how strong and outspoken he was, I always enjoy an omega who is feisty and strong. The story was fast paced, but it kinda worked for Trenton and Loch. I would have enjoyed more of being fated mates (like, how do you know, was it just love/lust or a real thing?) and more mpreg, but I really enjoyed the story.

Looks like the next stories will be for Loch's other brothers, and I for one will definitely be looking forward to them!

Eh, this wasn't very good. I enjoyed parts of it, but for the most part I didn't like it.

The "enemies" part barely had them disliking each other, but they still did...but then when they get married it takes all of two days for them to be smitten? Uh huh.

It felt rushed, and also the mpreg part of this is barely in the story. The sex was "meh" to me, it was also kind of rushed.

Why they had to have a forced marriage kind of made sense, at least, I'll give the book that.

But then they're at this "fighting" academy and we have no idea why, and what these "fighters" go on to do once they become "masters" because it seems like they just live their lives? Or do they fight in wars or protect clans or what? It didn't make much sense.

Tristian and Loch had okay chemistry, but not much.

And the writing in general wasn't that great. It could have greatly been improved upon, imo.

Overall while I did enjoy some part, I just didn't like this all that much. Thumbs down from me.

Picked this up as a freebie, new to me author, enjoyed the crap outta it and must now buy the rest of this series.

One thing I found interesting and unusual is that these shapeshifter wolves seem to be able to talk like humans while in wolf form. Hadn't seen that before in any other books.

The MCs were awesome, but I wish the author had spent a bit more time on letting them go from enemies to lovers, instead of making it feel like a mating compulsion. Or perhaps we're meant to believe that once they stopped seeing each other only as opponents, the mutual attraction had a chance to flourish. Either way, still an enjoyable read. Even if the villain was nothing more than a villain, without any depth. The two MCs and their respective families, plus Tresten's friend Velvy made up for it.

Give this a try. Might still be free.

An easy NA shifter story that may not win any awards but was just what I needed.

Before we start, please note that the bonus content for this book is a recipe for steak (mentioned in the book). I. Am. Dead. I'm not sure if that was the intention but it really made me laugh.

Anway.

The story was cute. Loch bringing Tresten his lunch at school then them lounging together on the grass while Loch is in wolf form? He just shows up and is like a big ol' puppy! More, please.

The MCs had good chemistry, even from the beginning with the snarky banter and rivalry. It did give me the impression that Loch already had the hots for Tresten, even if he wasn't able to acknowledge it. The author could have pushed it further with the and one scene felt a bit fade-to-black but overall the sex was well-written and pretty hot. Just what I want in omegaverse.

I liked that the conflict was external to the relationship, and the MCs struggled along with it for a while instead of it being resolved immediately. The supercharged hero moment was...a lot though.

Was this objectively good? Debateable. The worldbuilding was wobbly and a number of things went unexplained. In particular the omega physiology and need to either procreate or wait until 30 (so, what, 8 whole years?!) for Tresten's heat to subside? Did I misunderstand something?

I was also a bit annoyed that Tresten . I'm glad they came back to that in the epilogue and made sure that .

Pretty much every book starts at 2.5 stars for me… kind of like walking in the door with a C+ at school. You have to either really impress me to get that rating up high and really impress me in a very different way to find yourself at a solid 2 or below.

So, if we started at a 2.5 with this one, it lands at 2 stars after the following:
+ two stars for omegaverse originality: the boys are in a school for fighters where omegas are allowed And when shifted they can still speak English, out loud. That’s different.
- 1 star for flat and somewhat juvenile characters, both individually and as a couple.
- 1 star for going 0-60, from just married to In Looooooove… we were told? But definitely not shown.
- lose another half star because frankly I was… bored. I felt no connection, no sexiness, nothing interesting at all was going on here. The most intriguing thing was my RN brain trying to figure out the logistics of Tresten rewrapping Loch’s injury 3x in the space of an hour at one point.

TLDR: boring, no spark, juvenile = meh 🫤

Great start

I really enjoyed this even though I was a bit hesitant after reading the blurb. I gave it a chance because all my GR friends were saying saying good things about it. I have to say I’m glad I did :-)

It was a nice change to read a story where an Omega is not the pliant at every turn. In addition, while there is Mpreg, the whole mate thing is more of a word and a special feeling instead of the instalove which seems to be the norm of shifter stories.

My only complaint is that the “challenge” was built up so much, however the result was just okay. I guess I just expected more.

I wiele, wiele więcej.

Ogólnie, nie żałuję czasu spędzonego na czytaniu, ale czuję niedosyt. I zastanawiam się, czy sięgnąć po następny tomy. Bo mimo wszystko trochę mnie jednak kuszą.

I am a big fan of alpha/omega and mpreg, but I am not a fan of weak willed omegas who bow down to the alphas and are slaves to their omega lusts. Did I mention that my favorite trope of all time is enemies to lovers...throw in a little arranged marriage and BAM! It's as if this book was written just for me.

Tresten is an omega who is being forced to marry Loch, a womanizing alpha who Tresten sees as having all the worst traits of an alpha. Tresten is not a shy little alpha who has been raised to believe that his place is at home making babies and cooking for his alpha. Tresten and Loch are classmates and competitors at Fighting Arts School. While smaller and with less physical strength than the larger alphas, Tresten is at the top of his class due to his speed, agility and strong shifting ability.

Once these two are forced into marriage with the expectation of an heir clearly spelled out to them by their families, sparks start to fly all over the place 😜.

Fun, fast paced, sexy and interesting. I literally cannot wait for the next instalment in this series.

Wed To The Omega
By Ashe Moon

Omega Tresten's dream for his life is to be just like his Pa... One of the greatest Omega fighters in the FAS.

When Tresten's parents and the parents of his greatest rival, alpha Loch, arrange a mating between the two to benefit both of their clans his dreams go sideways, but maybe things will turn out so much better than either of them can dream of.

I liked both Tresten and Loch. Though Tresten more so because he's fought so hard to get where he is at. They were great together.

The book is in both Tresten and Loch's POV. The angst level is low/med.

4.5 stars. I love love loved this book. It's totally a cheesy omega verse book like you'd expect but I loved every bit of it. The plot moved extremely fast and was quite instalove, but I didn't mind any of that. This book was just pure fun. I would call it a guilty pleasure read, but I'm not guilty.

YES, I bought it for the cover - sue me. This thing is a work of art and I needed it on my shelf.

Thankfully, the story holds up most of my expectations for the cover. I do have a few criticisms but overall, I really enjoyed this. It's a really quick read-it-in-a-day type of book and for the most part, was exactly what I was looking for.

Loch and Tresten are freakin' adorable. The story is very much insta-love/fated mates that goes from 0 to 100 in 0.2 seconds flat so if that's not your jam, this isn't for you. I'm glad, though, that even our MCs were bamboozled by how quickly they were falling for each other. It's a lot more intolerable when the MCs just immediately get on board after hardly any interaction; so that was a little refreshing, at least. I still would have liked soooome more dialogue that played into the actual emotional investment, but that's not what this book is so I'm not super mad about it.

What I thought the book was (MM A/B/O mpreg smutty smut) didn't quite meet my expectations either, though. The sex was just...good. Not bad, but not anything to write home about either (not that you would be writing home about OV smut, but I digress) I kind of expected a little more after all the buildup in the beginning of the book. Also, this might just be a personal preference, but when a book is advertised as being mpreg, I want the mpreg - not a quick "I'm pregnant" and then fast forward 5 years in the epilogue. I'm not counting that particular criticism in my rating because I do think that's more of a me thing than a book thing.

The book is wholly predictable but that is exactly what I wanted: something easy, quick, sweet, and a little dirty. Still very much recommend this for anyone who just wants to read something fun that doesn't require much brainpower (which I'd like to point out is a compliment in this case).

This book maybe needed more plot and world building, but the story was the right lenght to not annoy. Here we had an arranged marriage and 2 wolves, one Omega and the other an Alpha, ready to do anything to help their families, also marry someone they "hated". Luckily, both of them were 2 idiots, and I say this in a good way, and soon found out that they were fated mates. I think that Tresten and Loch, were the only one clueless of their mutual feelings. Think about what youg boys do when they like someone, they usually "bully" him/her or try to ignore that person, failing miserably and noticing all they do or who they talk to, anyway. Well our boys, and I call them this bcs Tresten was 20 and Loch barely 22, were the epitome of the love-hate,but really love, relationship. They sometimes resulted naive and maybe this could be expected for the omega that had never been in a relationship, but for Loch who had been with plenty of girls, a bit less. In the end, spending real time together, and not only in the fighting arena, was all they needed to understand they were fated mates. Maybe I wasn't a fan of how their families pushed them to marry and have a child, they were both young and if I could "understand" the marriage thing, I didn't like so much the fact of them having a child when they both still needed to finish their studies, decide on a job and know themselves and each other better, pratically they still needed to grow. But then, this being a shifter book, was what made it work. Sure the child comes too soon, but they both want it and is not just a duty, something I feared he/she would be, at start. There was a "big evil" to keep things from getting too sweet, and I really wanted to punch him in the face, and thanks the Gods, Loch finally shut him up for good. I was sad for Loch's little omega brother, and I hope that his leg will fully heal, they did say the operation was a success, but reading the blurb of the 2nd book, I already know that he will have to change his dream, and all bcs some bullies thought to attack and hurt him to get to Loch.

In the last pages of the book, the epilogue takes us 5 years in the future. Tresten is being insigned with the title of Master(of fight? I forgot the precise name...) and Loch with their 5 years old omega son, Ian, are at the ceremony.

I was happy to see that Tresten in the end didn't give up his dream and became what he had always wanted to be. He was so strong and different from the omegas we usually see in other shifters books. He knew what he wanted, he fought for it and he achieved it. Loch character was more like other alphas we see in these books, more ready to act than think, protective and jealous, but he also thought that his mate was one of the strongest person he ever met and better than him. He wasn't too prideful to acknowledge it, and this was something new.

4/5. Highlights may contain spoilers. Read at your own risk.

Content Warnings for book: Pregnancy, creepy language (not between MCs), blood, detailed fighting and violence

Kink: Partially shifted sex, rough sex

Wed to the Omega is a rivals-to-lovers shifter arranged marriage, with a splash of mpreg and fated mates to go with it.

This is my first book by Ashe Moon that I've read, and I really enjoyed it! I didn't know what to expect from it, but while this was a bit slow in the beginning, I definitely enjoyed it. There were a couple of errors editing wise I noticed, but it wasn't overbearing or an issue I couldn't read the story. I definitely think I will be reading more by this author!

As for the story, I generally am not someone who reads animosity-to-lovers, but this one was done great for me! It wasn't a super intense hatred, more that it was Tresten's personal issues and some of the family's old prejudices between shifter families. The arranged marriage was for the need to have an heir, and then these two came to have to collide with each other and realize they have more in common than they thought. This does have fated mates-ish dynamics, instalove, and these two come to be quite suitable as a couple. Their sex scenes are also wonderful, and I loved how part of their relationship is built on sparring and fighting together - I dunno, I don't read a lot of books like this so I enjoyed it more than I expected.

One thing I loved between Tresten and Loch was their communication. There were no needless miscommunications or drama-y moments because they couldn't just talk about it, they are able to talk about what bothers them and set boundaries while their feelings changed over time. The big conflict that drives this plot was well-handled and not too OTT in my opinion.

I have a lot of questions about this world - why is there a fighting school and what do they do after they graduate? There is obviously some sort of hierarchy with this "highborn" "lowborn" and such being thrown around, but what all goes on there? I'm not quite sure, but I imagine we learn more if we read the rest of the series. The male-pregnancy aspect of this series was so small you could blink and miss it. Yes, Tresten gets pregnant, but there is no on-page time spent with the nine months of his pregnancy or the birth. Their offspring is in the epilogue, older than an infant too. So if mpreg usually isn't your thing, you're still safe to read this as it goes into very little detail about it.

I definitely recommend this!

Worth Reading

I enjoyed reading this book let me say that first. Because, I almost gave the book 3 stars but it had good bones (a story, characters, and writing). But I had a few problems with it. But I respect what authors do, it’s not easy. So, I try to remember that when giving my opinion. My biggest problem even though I think that in general the writing was good; the flow was a bit rough in reading it. I thought that the characters were wonderfully developed and thought out. And yet there were really no events that showed the emotions of how the characters were feeling or evolving with their situation. I think that the story idea is a brilliant idea. Especially using omegas as fighters on the same level as alphas. I would have liked to have seen more success from Tresten as a fighting omega though.

The MC’s are both committed to family and honor. Tresten is an omega and Loch an alpha, both are students at the Fighting Arts School. Tresten’s family has a long history and tradition of fighters including omega fighters. So Tresten is determined to do his best to follow them. Tresten is also an only child and an omega of the leaders of his clan. Loch is the third son and doesn’t have the same family history and minimal expectations.

In one day, their parents turn their lives upside down with an arranged marriage that will unite the two clans. And the terms are clearly spelled out in the contract. They both agree only to help their families. After they are married a problem at school unties them to work together. Here is a part of the book that I liked (“You look so silly,” Tresten said before kissing me again. “Little puppy boy.” He stroked my ears, and I closed my eyes to enjoy the bliss of it.). There is a HEA and I would recommend reading this book. It has a few problems but it is a good story that shines through those and the characters are great. I can’t wait for the next book. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

2★'s = it was ok.

This was sort of ridiculous and it read, to me, emotionless. The parents seemed uncaring or cold, the enemies to lovers was not that at all, the school made no sense, why didn't Loch go to classes and not just have an absence from fighting? Even Trestan's BFF seemed odd. The whole setup and the challenge, none of it made any sense! What is the point of even becoming a Master!! What does it mean? Were there humans? I know a "regular human" was mentioned but where were they? Sometimes they can shift with clothes and sometimes they can't? Wolves can talk? Waaaaahhh!!!

Add to that the editing errors and with the mother of all editing errors, using the wrong characters name at the wrong time, in an important conversation, and I was just not impressed with this at all.

Blah!

This author uses AI generated images to make their covers.

Absolutely fucking not.

I was wondering why the covers looked off, but the copyright had no detailing on the artist for me to look up their work. Passed screenshots around to some designers. All of them clocked the designs as unnatural, potentially PS composites but the backgrounds are fucked up. We then looked at the author’s social media. AI was the general consensus.

And then I saw a GoodReads list that details MM books with AI covers and guess which author is on there 🫠

And then I learned it wasn’t just some people side-eying. Nah, the author is stating with her whole chest she used AI

Fucking what even.

I wasn’t impressed by the story, but I read it because I’m in the market for muscular submissive bottoms, but this is the extent of the author’s work that I do engage with. Book was mid. If you want to read about an MM modern-day omegaverse with a fighter omega bottom, there’s a wonderfully done Megumi to Tsumugi, which is shounen AI. Loved that manga.

But nah, don’t bring that AI generated shit into this house. I have no respect for any one who pays for people to view their content and then steals other artists’ work.

Makes me question if any author who uses AI images also uses AI to generate their writing. They absolutely deserve scrutiny for this BS. They do NOT deserve harassment. But they deserve to be criticized appropriately in a professional setting.

Gotta black list every work from this author, JFC.

No rating because AI images.

interesting and unique read.

i love how omegas are able to attend a fight school, and stand up and be strong on their own.

Loch and Treston were already interacting from the start, and Loch was the only alpha who kept talking to Treston. which was cute, there was some chemistry. but the romance was weirdly developed, "its bc i married you thats why I'm experiencing this love feeling?"

the lack of packmates and packbonds was sad.

and wow am i annoyed with both parents! both are so force-y.

here's a part i'm so confused about that happened next to next:

LochTreston: no child yet bc we are still in school

parents: idc give me a child now for the sake of both clans

LochTreston: well Treston will quit sch if Loch lose

parents: WHAT NO RIDICULOUS HOW COULD U PUT YOUR SCH ON THE LINE U TRAINED SO HARD

....... uh you expect Treston to give u a kid AND stay in a fighting sch? 🤨

ps the book cover!!! does not match Treston's descriptions.....

A cute little story. I read it in one sitting. The read was so comforting that I didn't know I was in the last lap of the book until I glanced at the page number. A hilarious shocker for me. Not so certain on the enemies-to-lovers part. It gave me more of a you-annoy-me vibe.

All in all, a good read. I wanted Ian to be an Alpha, though. It low-key annoyed me that he wasn't.

Very cute, at least as ring type fighters can be. A little insta. Wasn't expecting the tails. Ears might have surprised me if they weren't on the cover.
