Thayne Wolfe and Jarrett Evans have been working together for nearly a year. Now, living together as well, their relationship has taken on a whole new meaning for both men. It seems that danger has always been a part of their lives in the ATF but when SAC Stanger sends them to a relatively routine crime scene, things quickly get complicated. Someone has been arming Los Angeles street gangs with automatic weapons missing their serial numbers.
Lincoln Snow from the FBI’s LA field office, has a new partner, McBride M. McCallahan, a massive former Green Beret. The men are chasing a kidnapper, trying to rescue a child from an online sex ring. When their case intersects with the ATF’s through stolen weapons, Lincoln and Mac team up with Jarrett and Thayne to solve their case as well.
From a desert hunting lodge for the insanely wealthy, to the gang-infested streets of Los Angeles, the men follow the guns to solve both their cases. In a race for time to save a little boy and keep themselves above ground long enough to find out who’s pulling the strings, all they want to do is put this case to bed.

It's official - I lurve this series. Apart from the fact that Thayne and Jarrett together can give a girl heart palpitations, old friends enter the scene - Lincoln Snow *yes, please* and new man McBride McCallahan *ginger hotness overload*!!!
This time our beloved ATF agents team up with FBI agents *shiver me timbers* to solve different cases that bring them to the lowest of the low - dirty corrupt cops. It's a tough pill to swallow when I think about the fact that some of those who wear uniform instead of protecting and serving people use it to intimidate, terrorize and bully. The sense of entitlement and huge ego that they will not get caught allow them to break the law without fear of consequences. But you always reap what you sow. And ATF and FBI will not rest until all the dirtbag criminals are behind bars.
I liked that Jarrett is finally opening up to Thayne, he gives him some of his burden to shoulder. It's about darn time, agent!!! Stop shortchanging Thayne, he deserves better from YOU!!! I loved presence of Agent Snow and his easy rapport with ATF and his new partner. I do hope that he finally finds the time and his courage to ask The Terminator out. Gird them loins man, you will need all the help you can get! But the lady in question is so worth it.
I also liked the investigative process, the fact that they got to solve a crime on the home turf, how camaraderie sparked between Mac and the rest of ATF group. I loved the brainstorming moments they all had, how open and genuine they all were. There was plenty of action, shootings and chasing down suspects - all the best parts. But I nearly broke my head thinking about WHO IS TRYING TO KILL JARRETT!!!??? WTF??!!! I mean do I even know those people? Have they been in the books already and I missed them? Come on, Ms Logan, throw us a bread crumb trail or something....
The ending was intriguing and a mite endearing... you go Mark you, old dog, you!!! I highly recommend it!!!
This book was for sure more interesting than the previous one, mostly bcs there were our beloved secondary chars, like Snow, showing up and helping keep alive my interest. The Mystery was still easy to understand and no news on Lang. The best part of all the story was the end, and no I'm not being sarcastic, but bcs Jarrett's dad finally told us something more about the men who want to kill them and revealed also a little secret.
I really had hoped the writing would get better, but it's still repetitive and kinda sloppy. I have lost count how many times I was told how great a marksman Sarah is, for example. I mean, I get that it's good to repeat certain things if books in a series are released months or even years apart. But do they have to be repeated in every single book? I admit my memory isn't the best, but it's not that bad.
And there are so many mistakes that could have been easily avoided.... Simple things like Jarrett hitting the speaker button twice within a couple of sentences. Or someone telling Thayne that McBride is former military and then Thayne wondering in the next chapter if he is former military. Or Jarrett being so glad that his father made sure his phone had a secure connect because of what they were talking about even though he was using Thayne's phone at the time ~sigh~ By now it is annoying because it yanks me out of the story every single time.
In addition to that I have begun speed-listening through the sex scenes. That's partly the narrator's fault because he's just so extremely over the top once the guys enter the bedroom. But they are also repetitive and clichéd.
You are probably wondering why I still continue with this series. Well, I bought the first 9 books years ago, and thanks to my OCD when it comes to series, I have a hard time stopping until I reach the end. Also, I still mostly like the MCs, and now that I have invested so much time already, I want to know who's behind the threat to them. So, the author managed to make me care and interest me enough to find out, even though I'm not enjoying myself while doing so.
There are lots of awesome reviews out for this series, so maybe it's just me. Read some other reviews and give this series a go. There's always the chance that you will enjoy it much more than I do.
Entertaining story of two hot ATF agents solving cases and smooching in their down time. 10 book series, must be read in order. Great characters, nice growth and development over the course of the series, lovely side characters, friends and family. I read the first 5 books a while ago and I wished I had kept notes to give this series a proper review. I know I loved the characters and the couple and that the cases were interesting and exciting. The hair salon was awesome and totally memorable, even years later. Some undercover assignments, everyone a bit broken due to the nature of their work, taking chances and being reckless on the job to get results.
These books need to be read close together, at least read through book 6 before taking any large breaks. The long-term plot has a lot of twists, turns, betrayals and characters. Due to the betrayal storyline, they understandably don’t want the culprit too easy to identify, so there are a TON of characters. I took a large break between books 5 and 6 and unknowingly deprived myself the joy of the big reveal, since I had forgotten who most of the side characters were. As everything was unraveled and explained in book 6, I barely had any idea what they were talking about. My fault completely. Learn from my mistake, don’t take any long breaks until after book 6!!!!! I read the first 5 books over three months, then read book 6 nearly 2 years later. Don’t do that.
Reviewed as a series, each book is a 4-5 on its own, with the entire series coming in as a solid 5. Great writing, excellent banter and conversations, interesting investigations, great action scenes with tough guys and beautiful hurt/comfort moments when cases fall apart.
Contemporary, vers, m/m, finished series, must read in order, ATF, federal agents, HFN during series, HEA in book 7.
As with the rest of the series, this was amazing....Thayne and Jarrett were just as hot and just as good in this one.....We get more of Lincoln Snow in this one and he has a new partner,....The action is off the charts and we get a huge alligator with a thing for Jarrett...A great addition to the series and I think one of my favourite series of Ms Logan's x

We're back with Thayne and Jarrett in the fifth installment of the Death and Destruction series. Jarrett and Thayne are now living together and are in absolute bliss.
When a new case involving Los Angeles street gangs with automatic weapons, leads and connects to a child sex ring, things get a whole lot more complicated than they ever could have thought. There is a ticking clock and unless Thayne and Jarrett can help FBI Agents Lincoln Snow and his new partner McBride McCallahan, solve how exactly their cases connect, they're looking to loose a hell of a lot more than a simple smuggled guns case. As a dark web of deceit and murder unfolds before them, will they make it in time to save the kidnapped children or will they go down in a hail of gunfire?
In this book, things don't progress much further into the mystery as to who is trying to kill Jarrett. Though he still isn't positive for what exactly, Jarrett is more aware than ever of the danger looming over them. A close friend has been murdered and Jarrett knows it was because he got too close to uncovering the truth as to who is after him.
I enjoyed this book so much and although for me it did feel kind of slow and overall it was a small development, it's progressing perfectly with the timeline considering they're still working their cases with the ATF. Loved it so much and am totally anxious for the next!!!
Patricia Logan has done it again. "Point and Shoot" book 5 in the Death and Destruction Series is just f***ing amazing. Jarrett and Thayne have always been great together but in this book their togetherness is on a whole other level, I love them so much. Lincoln and Sarah are awesome as always and I'm loving the two new characters Mac McCallahan and Cassidy Ryan. Dirty cops, gang bangers and kidnapped kids, this book has it all. So if you're looking for a book with a great storyline that has action, danger, intrigue, a streaming hot romance and two sinfully sexy men, "Point and Shoot" is a must read. Thank you Patricia I can't wait for the next one. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Decisamente una delle saghe più appassionanti! La parte riservata al caso prende sempre più spazio, ma i momenti a cuore aperto sono semplicemente magnifici 😍😍😍
This one literally snuck up on me! Man how I love these two men and their adventures!!!
Jarrett has finally made the decision and moved in with his lover, Thayne, and it is about time. Slowly these two are getting to know the true man behind the gorgeous exterior. Just when they are getting a moment to breath they are brought in on a case with the LAPD. It’s no secret that law enforcement doesn’t like getting their toes stepped on by the Feds. When the FBI shows up also, as in FBI Special Agent Lincoln Snow with a brand new partner McBride M. “Mac” McCallahan, feathers are really ruffled. But when LA gang members are suddenly appearing with stolen MAC-10s and used in a number of crimes, including kidnapping a small boy and murdering a police officer, both the ATF and FBI are on high alert. Teaming up seems like the best possible solution. And Thayne and Jarrett know Snow will have their backs.
Patty Logan scares the crud right out of me with these men. I worry about their safety at every turn of the page. There is only so much a human body can endure and these men have to be close to their limit. They’ve been chased after, run off a cliff on a motorcycle, attempt at being blown up, almost buried in a cave, been brutally shot and so much more but they keep bouncing back. What I do like is that they are getting even closer and learning that they can truly trust each other, even if Thayne has to pull Jarrett’s secrets from him. They are totally head over heals in love with each other and can’t live without their mate. They make each other an even better man, if that is even possible. They do scare me that they are being a little more lax on their secret relationship. They need to be each other’s partner or they would go crazy with worry. We’ve seen that before. Plus they work together like a well timed car’s engine, something Jarrett appreciates in his trust classic Nova.
Red Hot steamy sex scenes, strong, sexy Alpha heroes, danger and intrigue with a dose of bad guys makes for another exciting chapter in Jarrett and Thayne’s lives. I highly recommend this fascinating book and the entire thrilling series! A definite MUST READ for me! Can’t wait for the next one!

Wow 5 stars plus for this book. Ms Logan can certainly write a brilliant story, her research time must be huge..the tales and plotting each character is amazing. Holding the readers attention for each book in this series is a great achievement. This book has turns you never know whats going to happens next. Thayne and Jarrett love solving case and catching the bad guys, they're still on the look out for Mills Lang.. Just solving another case and another rolls in. Their Commander ask them to look into a case which has illegal weapons with serial numbers rubbed off being used in street gang crimes. The case turns complicated when their friend Snow from the FBI thinks there case is linked to his which means they get to work and collaborate together again. Snow has a partner, Mac McCallahan which Jarrett takes great pleasure calling him Mac Mac Mac. lol The rest of the team help out too. I hope the Commander is pleased with Jarrett's performance at the end if this book as they solve another case. This book and series are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.. you'll love Jarrett and his wild antics, thank goodness for Thayne being there with him..
I love this series.. This is book 5 of the Death and destruction Series. I think you could read this out of order but it would make more sense if you do read them in order. In this book Thayne and Jarrett find themselves working with Snow and Snow's new partner Mac. There are some guns with filed off serial numbers that turn up and Thayne and Jarrett are asked to look into it even though it's an LAPD case. One of the guns was used in a kidnapping that Snow and Mac are working and this is what ties the FBI and ATF to work together. As in all of these stories we have lots of action, some mystery a touch of humor and some hot man-sex. As an added bonus we got to see Cassidy Ryan from another of Patricia's series.
The story is gripping, funny and we also see the relationship growth between Jarret and Thayne. each of these books just get better as the overall theme of the series gets deeper. I cannot wait for the next book.
I love how the books are flowing throughout this series. Jarrett and Thayne are crazy as ever and their love just keeps getting stronger. Also loving the intrigue that Mark has brought to the table. Ready for the next book.
I can't begin to describe how much I love this series! I love Thayne and Jarrett! This book (and series) does such a great job in combining mystery, action and romance. Just when I think Patricia Logan can't top herself she does.
For any reader who loves a well written, thought out book this is a must read. I don't ever want this series to end!
I love this series!!! It's one of my favorites and I definitely can't wait for book 6....Thayne and Jarrett are one of my favorite couples... It was good to see Cassidy as well and now that I've been introduced to Bob Crowely I will be reading about him next ... Ms. Logan has done it again!!
I'm really loving this series and these characters. The overall plot didn't move much further nor did their relationship really grow but it was fun and entertaining and I love Jarrett and Thayne. I also enjoyed having more Lincoln in the story and an addition of Mac.
This has been my favorite book of the series! Jarrett and Thayne continue to build their relationship. The danger Jarrett is facing is taking shape. I have a suspicion who's after him but I can't wait to learn more!
I really have enjoyed this series, the relationship between the two main characters is gripping as it had a bit of angst at the beginning but was resolved and has grown into learning more about them and their back story. I normally don't like one underlying storyline to be extended over a number of books, unless it is well written and this series is. It just fits and makes sense. Can't wait for the next installment. Final comment, I must admit I skip over the sex scenes, for some reason they don't hold my attention.
I enjoyed this 5th book in the series. I like Thayne and Jarrett, the action is well paced, the humor is good and I really enjoy the secondary characters. We get further information in the on-going subplot (which is really starting to get old and feel drawn out for no purpose) and some interesting new characters are introduced who are evidently crossovers from previous books by this author.
The writing of the sex scenes improved a little in this book. But not much. At least there was less cheesy bad-porn dialog. Book 6 looks to have an interesting premise so I'll keep reading.
With ATF agents Thayne Wolfe and Jarrett Evans you don't just get a steamy story of love you get a background story that had depth. If you are looking for a read that is simple and straightforward, this is not for you. Point and Shoot is about two strong alpha males with flaws whose love for each other deeply and the sexual heat between them burns up the pages. I love this series and have added it to my must buy list. I especially love the background characters. Patricia Logan has added strong female characters which is a nice change from the weak females you usually find in these type of books. The action boarders on 'James Bond' antics at times which you know is pure fiction but it only adds to the enjoyment of the plot. There is often humour sprinkled throughout which balances out the serious nature of some of the darker narrative. I received this book in advance for a review but I already had it on my list of books to purchase. Totally worth the read.
This was a great installment in this series. I love Jarrett and Thayne, and all of their adventures are scary good. I love the intro to these great new characters. I cannot wait for their stories next.
Brilliant!! This book has everything...intrigue, sex, murder and bad guys. Jarrett and Thayne's adventure continues in this next installmemt. The set up is perfect, storyline is juicy as all get out, lots of hot steamy sex with our guys....and I do want to know who the ultimate bad guy is. I'm hooked and you will be too!!
"Point and Shoot" thrusts ATF agents Thayne Wolfe and Jarrett Evans into a riveting new case, weaving together elements of crime, danger, and the unbreakable bonds of partnership. The review encapsulates the essence of the story, promising readers an enthralling narrative that seamlessly blends action, suspense, and the unwavering commitment of the protagonists.
The exploration of Thayne and Jarrett's evolving relationship adds a compelling layer to the narrative. Living together and navigating the complexities of both personal and professional spheres, the agents find themselves facing a routine crime scene that quickly spirals into a web of danger. The anticipation of danger has been a constant in their ATF lives, and the review effectively conveys the seamless integration of danger into their everyday existence.
The introduction of new characters, specifically Lincoln Snow and McBride M. McCallahan from the FBI's LA field office, adds depth to the narrative. The collaborative efforts of the two agencies create a rich tapestry of interconnected cases, with the agents racing against time to solve a kidnapping and disarm Los Angeles street gangs armed with untraceable automatic weapons. The blending of these storylines promises a multi-faceted plot that keeps readers on the edge of their seats.
The review aptly captures the geographical diversity of the story, from a desert hunting lodge for the wealthy elite to the gritty, gang-infested streets of Los Angeles. The contrasting settings contribute to the atmospheric tension, creating a vivid backdrop for the unfolding events. The mention of a race against time to save a child from an online sex ring intensifies the urgency and high stakes, ensuring that readers will be emotionally invested in the characters' quest for justice.
The desire to "put this case to bed" resonates as a unifying theme, emphasizing the agents' determination to navigate the complexities of the investigation and emerge victorious. The blend of personal and professional motivations, along with the overarching sense of justice, creates a narrative that is both emotionally resonant and action-packed.
In conclusion, "Point and Shoot" appears to be a thrilling addition to the ATF series, offering a captivating blend of suspense, crime-solving, and the indomitable spirit of its protagonists. Readers can expect a rollercoaster of emotions, intricate plot twists, and the camaraderie that defines the dynamic between Thayne and Jarrett. The review effectively conveys the promise of a narrative that captivates from beginning to end.
The best thing about this book was branching off with Lincoln and Mac as MC as well. I enjoyed seeing Lincoln as a more expanded character and Mac is also a nice addition. While I did like seeing Jarret and Thayne together this book didn't feel like it move the story or their relationship any further along. They are still stuck in the holding pattern of not being out because of work and chaffing some under it. Not much moved on the killing Jarret/Lang angle of the overarching plot of the series. There were small things but nothing major. That left the book hanging off the case they were on which just felt a little ridiculous. The bad cop theme didn't impress me much since it was fairly obvious what was going on and I had to wonder how stupid these bad guys really were.
This was definitely my least favorite book in the series. To be honest, I almost did not finish it. It didn't have a lot of action like the previous books and when I finished it I remember thinking...that was just filler. Another aspect that struck me as weird is that in the previous books you have Thayne and Jarrett's POV and occasionally our mole/bad guy but this one also had Snow's POV and occasionally Snow's new partner Mac's. I'm up for reading the next book in the series but I'm leery....
6+ stars! Thayne and Jarrett, are now 2 of my all-time favorite MC's EVER and I got all 10 books in the series. I binged on the first 8 books then savored the last 2 as I was dreading saying goodbye to them and all their friends and family. So very entertaining. I highly recommend reading them in order as the stories do build on each other, although you can stop after each one (well, in theory you can - I couldn't...)
I just love them all and can't wait to re-read this series again - probably when #11 comes out which is showing but with no release date yet.
