Rate this book
From one of the most famous divas of our time comes The Diva Code: Miss Piggy on Life, Love, and the 10,000 Idiotic Things Men Frogs Do. Over her years of celebritude, Miss Piggy has gleaned, glommed, and garnered much wisdom about what's wrong with everyone else and what's right with her. Now, in the latest book from the Muppets, Miss Piggy is ready to share with vous her best advice on love, fashion, career, attitude, and her secrets of diva-dom! It's time for you to release your inner diva! Get what you deserve! And give others exactly what they deserve! Take, for example, Miss Piggy's insights on a few of the idiotic things men frogs do...
HE'S JUST NOT READY TO COMMIT—You give him the pleasure of your company (plus untold hours of prep time) and in return he's not willing to commit to anything. Mention a romantic getaway, a steady and exclusive dating policy, a long-term relationship, marriage…and he runs for the exit!
WHAT VOUS NEED TO DO: The best defense is a good offense, which means that you must never give up trying to make him commit. Never stop being offensive.
HE'S STATUS OBSESSED—It's all about the label, the fancy car, the platinum-encrusted watch, the vacation place in Gstaad, and the showy perks.
WHAT VOUS NEED TO DO: Give moi his number.
HE'S A NARCISSIST—This guy can usually be found at the gym defining his triceps, biceps, bicuspids, you name it. And when he's not pumping iron, he's primping in front of the mirror—tweezing, conditioning, moisturizing, and otherwise invading your personal grooming space.
WHAT VOUS NEED TO DO: Ask yourself if he's such a hunk that he's worth it. If so, get more mirrors. If not, dump him…but get more mirrors anyway. After all, narcissism isn't a bad thing if it's about vous.

I gotta say... I am a bit disappointed here... I have always LOVED the Muppets and everything about them (being the movies, tv-shows, books etc) but this... just did not fell a lot like Miss Piggy.

Few of the passages were funny, the rest were just to much "something pretending to be Miss Piggy, without that thing, that makes MP, MP"

It is a light read, but really missed the whole giddy Muppet feeling, I am used to.

Lust is love minus the paperwork."

Learned so much from Miss Piggy such as, "It is better to live beyond your means than beneath your standards" and "Never hold a grudge. Act on it." Here I have always thought pigs were only good for bacon who knew they held so much wisdom, almost makes is a shame to fry them...almost! Happy National Pig Day, March 1, 2019

This was cute.

I adore Miss Piggy, and she's always true to herself, so I knew what to expect from this. It was a very quick read, and I chuckled a few times.

Miss Piggy is in classic form. The book was published in 2009, so there are a few dated references. Other than that, it serves Miss Piggy well. Favorite line from the book "Self Discovery - Of course moi is in touch with my inner child. Can I help it if the kid likes to throw tantrums?"

This was laugh-out-loud funny! I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Miss Piggy has such an "interesting" way of looking at things and it was really fun to read her perspective. I'm sure if you love the Muppets and you love Miss Piggy, you'll get a kick out of this book, too.
5 stars! Only the best for the fabulously-dressed pig.

Sometimes I like some light reading; this would qualify. It is a quick read and gives you a few laughs. Miss Piggy is certainly a diva and her tips on life and love fit right into the category.

What I learned from this book: Miss Piggy can hit the nail (or frog) right on its head. Her advice is partly silly, but some of it makes some sense. Some is pure Miss Piggy, though. Example: Under her catergory "what every diva needs to know" are these gems of wisdom. Too much is never enough, when the going gets tough you are obviously in the wrong place; if you don't succeed at first, complain loudly until they give it too you.

Some of her ideas do merit some consideration. Example: in the section "Moi on Style", she says: style is about being yourself; sytle is about expressing your inner self, being stylish is a lot of work, sytle comes in all shapes and sizes.

If you want a book to make you laugh, get you to think, and make you say "huh?", you will enjoy this book a lot. And.... it is a quick read.

I don't know what I was expecting out of this, but what I got was a horrible attempt at parody that demeans the name of Miss Piggy and the Muppets. Ostensibly a collection of mistakes men (and frogs, because they're interchangeable) do, it's basically an excuse for insulting everyone. Piggy's faux french appears to include Moi and n'est pas and that's it, and there's absolutely no heart in this. Muppets are all about heart, even when they're squabbling, but this is just mean spirited and small minded. At least it's short. But you'd be better off putting it back on the shelf and walking away.

I laughed my way through this book! Miss Piggy has much to tell us about what men say, but really mean, perfecting the fine art of flirting and the types of dating. She is very instructive in enumerating questions a girl might ask before going out with a guy or deciding to marry. Interspersed with advice on cosmetic surgery and beauty tips, the finest “diva” of them all gives us words to live by.

I don't consider my personality to be similar to a diva. However, this story imbodies the personality of Miss Piggy to a tee. The voice of Miss Piggy is strong and often as the reader you can see her point and want to agree with her. Overall a persuasive book with a humorous tone, as much of it you realize you shouldn't take personally for your own well being.

This book is not really something that helps you. I actually do not know in what genre it belongs to. It was an easy read, I liked it because it had a lot of quotable quotes, but I do not think that if you actually do what is said here that it would be helpful to your situation, maybe Miss Piggy is just being sarcastic.

Miss Piggy is a GODDESS not a DIVA but I think it's awesome that she wants to help all us little people aspire to divadome. These helpful hints from THE Pig are truly hilarious. Gotta love The Pig. I mean come on she dates a FROG!

i love the muppets more than any adult should, but this really was not very good. nonetheless, it called out to me from the "valetine's day" table at the public library. Book-themed dish: Chinese braised pork.

Probably the most "moi" and "vous" have ever been used in a book that's not actually written in French.

Miss Piggy is at it again with her humorous lines and hints about the male persuasion whether it be frog or human. A cute short read that will make you laugh from start to finish.
