Very clear cut and concise. The average reader could learn from this book even though it is a college text. It sums up everything everyone should know about American politics and of course provides references that explain how one can gather more information.

This books is terribly written, biased, and was rife with publishing and printing errors. Thomson Learning makes terrible textbooks and this is a prime example of their politically-charged, half-baked work.

When I retire, I would like to take return to college and take courses I didn't take as an undergraduate. If I took an Introductory course in Political Science, I would like to see this book used as the core. It appears thorough.
