I really wanted to like this, really really wanted. Natsume Yuujinchou is my feel-good manga and seeing a novel version of it psyched me up. Unfortunately, it didn't work. While the core of the stories was good, the continue switch of POV broke the immersion, and half of the stories is spent seeing the exact same scene from both sides, to the point that the dialogues are written twice. I'd still recommend this to fans of the original manga, but don't get your hopes too high.
