This book is about the life cycle of a butterfly and how it transforms from a caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly. It also talks about how it makes its cocoon and how it prepares itself to be inside for so long, and what it does while it transitions.
I found this book very interesting. We see butterflies all the time and its always a wonderful picture.
I would use this in my classroom as a science lesson and I would get real caterpillars that will turn into butterflies for them to watch the life cycle.

Some interesting facts about butterfly were mentioned. Some that caugh my attention were it takes a whole month for a caterpillar to turn into a butterfly. Also butterflies are poison to other animals. I believe this book would be perfect elementary aged kids.

Great pictures. Very easy to follow. Just enough information to make kids even more curious about butterflies.
