This is a fun book for dipping into, especially considering our family's current obsession with Indian films. It was a wonderful surprise to discover how many of the most recent "great movies" we'd seen and how many of the stars we knew. Rose has been pulling a lot of our viewing choices from a Time Out Best 100 Bollywood and Hindi Movies list, supplemented with top grossing/reviewed films from after that list's date. She has done a great job, evidently.
We're enjoying all the background materials and finding new movies to put on our list from this book.
Porém, o ambiente diverso do cinema Hindu é no mínimo intrigante.
I wish there were family trees though... so many important connections, but I’m glad on one level that they shy away from most of the gossip and scandal to focus on the creators/actors and the films themselves.
