The X-Men look to the past in order to move into the future.
X-Men Prime is exactly what you'd expect it to be. A setup issue for the upcoming titles following Inhumans be X-Men. Kitty Pryde is back from outer space and Storm is trying to convince her to lead the X-Men. We get brief glimpses of what will be happening shortly in a decently compelling fashion.
with such a strong team of writers and artists on board for this new jumping-off point, i must say - this was a bit of a let down. still, good to see some old faces and new places (same school now in Central Park). hopefully this title will get going eventually
A decent set up. I'm really interested in all of the upcoming X-Men titles (my wallet sure isn't though), so I think this issue did its job. I am curious though, is this also going to be a series since it's a number one? Because I'm not sure the point in having a loosely focused title like this one seemed to be when the groups it follows have their own books (or will shortly).
I haven't kept up to speed with X-Men lately, but perhaps a bit more than some other Marvel books, since they are what got me interested in comics in the first place. Still, event fatigue got to me with a lot of modern Marvel books, so I've been reading older books. Comixology gave these out for free, though, and as of this writing, they are relatively current, and designed to bring the X-Men back to their roots as heroes. This book does little more than lay the groundwork for that, though, which makes it rather lackluster on its own. Kitty Pryde seems like an unlikely lead for the series, but it seems to work reasonably well. I like that we are at least getting to a place where the X-Men can be heroes, but this individual issue just wasn't that interesting.
No idea what is going on. No idea what happened before. Not a good book to start reading if you have not read X-Men in forever. I'll give the first issues of the new stories a try, at least.
Trying out the Comixology Unlimited and this is the first one I found to read. So excited to see Marvel is participating in this now and will be reading a lot more.
A great preview of X-Men to come! I don't really care at all about Lady Deathstrike, I hope Storm sticks around because she is amazing, I'm glad Kitty is back with the crew, I'm super interested in following the time displaced team as they strike out on their own (again?) and I'm cautiously optimistic about Generation X (even though we hardly see anything about that here.)
I certainly enjoyed this.Loved seeing all of the X-Men gathered together and ascertain what direction both factions of the blue and gold team will go in.Thank you Leo Burgess for convincing me to pick up this book.
This is one of the first new series that come as the Rebirth collection in the DC Universe. Marvel will start from a new beginning with X-Men, Cable, Weapon X, Iceman, Jean, and many more.
So, for this one it's a good star, not much to it, but it take time to give a series a new start so it's okay, but I hope it switch in next gear pretty fast in the next issues. The illustrations are stunning and I mean really really great so on a visual level it's a good start. Fro the storyline we'll see next month!
