Before the generation ship crashed on this desert alien planet I was a Vagrant. Unplanned and unwanted, struggling to survive.

Now we're on Tajss and if not for the natives, seven foot tall dragon-men with wings and tails and scales, we’d all be dead.

My new friends are finding love and I couldn’t be happier for them but I want to fit in, I want to have a place and a purpose. Strangely enough the only one who might understand is one of those scaled dragon-men.

I wanted comfort and attention but it turns out 'one night stand' doesn't translate into Zmaj. He wants more and won't give up until he claims his treasure. Me.

Good story!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙💚❤️💜
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌍🌎
Character development: ☺️🤭😳😘
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The Hero: Astarot - he is a zmaj dragon from Draganoff. He has known for a while that Lana is his mate, his treasure. He knows she doesn’t see him that way but is content to wait for her to come around. He lives and works with humans; he doesn’t know any other males like him that are alone and don’t have mates. He feels he doesn’t belong.

The heroine: Lana - On the generation ship, she had been an outcast and a vagrant. Since it crashed her life has changed, and she is in the same boat as all the other human women on the planet. As a vagrant, she was always struggling to survive, she didn’t have a job like the rest of the ship’s population, vagrants are seen as a drain on the ship’s resources. Here on Tajss, she can help hunt and contribute.

The Story: Lana is interested in Astarot when she hears he has been watching her. She sees a kindred spirit in Astarot, since he feels he doesn’t belong, and she has always felt that way as well. Though Astarot, is shy and it is a bit hard to get to know him. Though she decides that she wants to hook up with him for the night, little does she know, that the zmaj don’t understand the concept of a one-night stand.

The pirates (slavers) that crashed the human ship might have still be out there on the planet. They have raided smaller villages in the past and captured slaves and could still be a threat. The story is decent and there is also the unrest between the humans. Many of the human men don’t like the fact that some of the women have mated to the zmaj.

The story on this one is pretty good; the two main characters end up having quite an adventure when they are out hunting. I don’t want to give away the plot, but they seem to keep getting out of the pot and into the fire every time there is danger.

This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Tristan James and Jillian Macie. These two aren’t my favorite narrators but they are ok. Tristan James has a bit of an odd tempo, and his voice isn’t as deep as I usually like. Jillian Macie is good at showing emotion through her voice but her voice kind of sounds like a high school student to me.

After the complete disaster of the last story I am glad this did not suck. It was not fabulous but I was happy that there were twists and new characters introduced.

But AGAIN with the lazy or non existent proof reading! The heroine talks about Sverre and Calista having a baby. But LADON and Calista have a baby! You would think the author would remember her own characters!

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Lana was unwanted on the ship she once called home, but crashing landing on a foreign planet has given her the opportunity to do something with her life, to become needed, and to matter. In order to never go back to the person she once was she'll do her best to help out in any way her people need, which is how she'll end up as a hunter.

Astarot knew he'd found his treasure the moment he first saw Lana. Getting her to want him back, now that was a different story. She wanted one night of comfort. He wanted forever. It just takes a few challenging events to get them on the same page.

"When a Zmaj mates, it's for life. She is his treasure, his everything. He will do anything for her. She becomes the center of his universe."

I have mixed emotions on this one. On one hand a lot happens in means to the underlying plot and over all series, but on the other hand there wasn't as much oomph between the main characters as in the previous books. I just wasn't as attached to Lana and Astarot and I'm not sure if it was because most of their time together was spent being captured or taken to the Tribe and they didn't seem to have as much one-on-one time as the previous couples or if maybe they just didn't fully click as a couple to me. I can say that if you're following the series that this one is vital as it takes a turn into new territory and I cannot wait to see what happens next. As a matter of fact it kind of ends on a cliff hanger. Bring on book #5!

Again another book about a human female mating with a dragon like alien. This one she tried a one night stand but the aliens don’t do one night stands so he had to wear her down until she realized she cared for him too.

Apparently back on there spaceship she might of used her body to get things she needed as she was the result of an unplanned pregnancy and they looked down on those, labeling her as an undesirable since birth. Her birth mother died giving birth but the female Doctor adopted her as her own.

We’re having issues with the human men again within the city wanting to keep the females to themselves, it’s gross & there’s talks of an election where it sounds like the leader of these racists would win.

Our female protagonist & her alien love interest go out hunting because (90% of the humans do nothing to provide the aliens have to get all the food 🤦‍♀️)

They are kidnapped by the bad orange alien slavers (again in the book before this one they should have killed the ones they had not letting them go!)

They are taken very far away where they see they have other human females they have been taking from another part of the ship that crashed on a different part of the planet.

Then they are saved by some of the dragons like aliens but unlike the others we have met that don’t get along with others, they have a small civilization. There our girl finds her adopted mother & she kinda marries her alien.

The book was kinda boring

Hmmm

Good storyline but really confused. She is denying him a relationship then she loves him...I'm lost. Some parts are too long and feel unimportant to the storyline. There were several editing errors. Gave it three stars because I will continue to read this series!

Lana was a Vagrant on the human generation ship before it crashed and so is used to struggling to survive. Now on Tajss, the seven-foot-tall dragon men with wings, tails and scales (the Zmaj) were complete lifesavers for them and some of the women and finding love with them as they are physically compatible. Having never fitted in, although Lana is happy for them she still wants to desperately find her own place in their society and have a clear purpose where she can be appreciated and contribute. So she finds it strange that the one person who is more likely to understand that motivation is one of the dragon men - Asterot. While they understand each other and are attracted to each other she decides that she wants a traditional one night stand with him - the problem is that is not a concept to the Zmaj - he definitely wants more and won't give up until he can claim her as his treasure.

I enjoyed this book which had a very independent woman who needed to make a place for herself, a very determined dragon and their adventures as he tried to pass on knowledge to her. The battles with the various enemies were good and showed just how determined they both were to protect each other even if she was still in denial about her feelings for him. It was interesting to see different societies are their way of life. Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

I’m going to leave this review in the hopes that you all the books so far in order this series. The tide is about to get a little rough. First let me say this book is about Lana. Before the crash when she was on the generation ship she was a vagrant. She had really no purpose so they treated her that way. She’s about the only one that really likes it where she is, and where she is it’s a pretty desolate planet where the heat is not survivable for humans. There is a plant that they can harvest that helps them. Astarot has found his treasure. He knew Lana was for him when he first saw her. But Lana was not going to settle down with anyone, even the alien she has feelings for. As the book goes on Lana has found her purpose as a hunter with the help of Astarot. Taking Lana on a hunting trip has turned into anything but. Not only have they found more Zmaj, the resident aliens of the planet, they also found more humans that were aboard the generation ship. Everything is about to get much more complicated. There’s dangers around every corner on this planet, the Pirates and slavers will never give up, and they must save the humans and also unite the Zmaj of the planet. That’s a tall order, I’m excited to see what is going to happen next. It was great for Lana to find her purpose and also her mate.

Awesome!

In the other books I hated Lana. She seemed like the kind of girl that was lazy, whiny, bratty, and moved between men like water. She acted sleezy, and I suppose she is in a way, but she's done what she's had to in order to survive. However, she often gives guys the wrong impression and sets off her dragon man constantly because of her flirtatious nature, and claims she did nothing wrong. I mean, if I was with someone and they were being touchy feely with someone else, I think I'd have a right to be pissed. She has an abundance of over reactions but she finally comes to terms with things. Sadly, I don't think her flirtatious nature will ever truly end, since she's had to be like that nearly her entire life, but I hope she gets better. This does have an HEA but doesn't actually end. This story has a lot of action, drama... What seems like cultists at first (but it gets better... I think.) and a great deal of romance. My favorite part is Lana becoming a warrior and her man accepting her choice. I do hope that the others will grow and learn with the humans more and not pick on the weak as much, but it's a start, and I can't wait to continue reading this story.

Hope

This is a series about survival of humans on an alien planet where the aliens are not so bad but the planet is very inhospitable. The storyline is one where the humans are recused by alien warriors who are dragons from a destroyed civilization. The dragons once had an advanced civilization that was destroyed in a war that they didn't win.
I started the series with book #4 and while each book is a standalone, it is better if you start with the first book. This story is about a woman who resisted the love of a dragon who knows she is his life mate. Tied into the love story are bigots who want to preserve the purity of the human race, heat, monsters and fears that they will not survive.

awesome series! can’t put it down!

I am loving this series! This installment introduces many more characters and places! More humans and Zmaj to intermingle! Asterot takes Lana on a hunting trip with hopes of forming a bond. His plan works perfectly but is not without its many obstacles! Of course the usual numerous deadly predators snap at their heels at every turn, until they are captured by pirates and whisked away far far from home. When they finally manage to outsmart the pirates and escape with a few more human refugees from another section of Lana’s crashed ship, they are quickly apprehended my an unknown tribe of Zmaj! With pirates on their tails they rush to get everyone back to the safety of their domed city!

Lana and Astarot

Lana was considered a 'Vagrant' on the generation ship. An unauthorised pregnancy. She is cared for by the doctor who delivered her as her step mom prior to their crash on the planet Tajss. Lana hooks up with Astarot, considering it a one time thing, although he doesn't agree. He does agree to train her as a hunter.

They are captured by the Zzlo slavers who have captive 3 human females. Eventually they escape to a community of Zmaj who seem to be able to avoid the excesses of bjass. The community wants Lana to serve as their translator.

Characterization and plotting are excellent.

This is book #4 of the Red Planet Dragons and its Lana and Astarot book. Lana was a nobody on the Generation Ship and she really hasn't found her place no the Tajss planet either. She decides that she will make her place as a warrior and Astarot knows that she is his mate though she only wants to be a warrior. He is patient which is unlike the other dragons so he basically waits this fool girl out. They end up in all kinds of different troubles. She was an idiot most of the time but he loved her anyway.

Lana didn't fit in on the generation ship... but that was then

Before their ship crashed, Lana didn't fit in, but now everything is different. Every person matters now, in an entirely different way than before, and a willingness to learn new skills, and a determination to both adapt and survive could carry a person a long way.

Every time Astarot learns something new about Lana he discovers there is more to respect and appreciate... his perspective on her, and appreciation of her makes Astarot the perfect alien mate for Lana.

This book is a great read!

It is really wonderful to have one of the stranded human females not fall straight into the arms of her Zmaj hero, but to have little flings with him, holding him at arm’s length. But of course, Lana n Astarot eventually come together after solving a few problems like a lack of Epis n an attack by the Zzlo.
Miranda has devised a perfectly logical n environmentally understandable environment in Tajss with totally delicious Zmaj humanoids.
I have read the whole series n am now working my way through it again…a totally worthwhile procedure.

Lana and Astarot's story

These books just keep getting better and better. Astarot is showing Lana how to be a hunter because that is what she wants to do. And Astarot hopes that it will bring them together forever. But a four day training trip turns out to be very hazardous for both of them. Action, love and lots of mystery and questions. Just the way I like it. Great job gals.

Vagrant that finds her place

This story is about a human woman who was considered a vagrant on the ship, because she was without a birth mother. She was not allowed to work or given food rations as a vagrant. It was all about survival. Now she is on an alien planet, the rules are different. She can learn to be a hunter to provide food for everyone. She is also falling for the Zmaj teaching her. They run into a lot of trouble and find more lives to save. Good read.

Hunter

From vagrant to hunter Lana has come a long way.

With each subsequent book The story line continues to evolve and the character development gets even better.

If this book you take on the character Lana and Astarot each of them understand not belonging anywhere or fitting in.

It was really hard to out these books down once you start reading then as you get caught up in the happens if their life.

Highly recommend this series if you enjoy dragons and danger.

mostly great

Liked having a human woman that wanted to be a warrior.
Did not like the BS about unwanted babies and outcast. No way would that not be factored into the humans on board. As well as food, etc.

One thing that bothered me about all the stories. There are several scenes where there is an urgent need for action. Then the pairs have sex, and suddenly it is not urgent. Will not spoil end but you will understand there was a urgent need to move, but author did it again.

Exceptional!

Lana and Asterote’sadventure was a nonstop action, at the edge of your seat exciting tale. I would most definitely read this one again. Lana is definitely not what I thought she was. Honestly I believe Lana was and the type of girl to sleep around and was promiscuous and annoying. Her personality totally blew my mind not only was she a vagrant eager to prove herself but she became a respected hunter. That’s inspiring. This one was five star awesome.

Worth it! I read this through KU. I almost didn't read this because I disliked book 3 so much. I am so glad I did. Book 4 returns to the larger picture - more about the human ship before the crash and more about the world outside the domed city. The mains here are really fleshed out with complete personas and an interesting new approach to the wooing process as well. I especially liked how Lara had growth as a person (sex was not a magic cure-all). 5 stars.

I liked this one

Lana's story was much better than Amaras. She didn't keep making stupid obvious mistakes like Amara did. Once she did something wrong, she learned and applied and didn't do it again. She didn't act like a bad ass and not live up to it. She owned her bad ass chick rep by listening and learning. I liked her character.

Why are all of these women such crybabies? I swear every other page they were crying or fighting back tears. Every single heroine makes some dumb mistake by running off or touching something they aren't supposed to. Or insist that they follow the hero into danger and someone ends up badly hurt. Trying to finish this series but its just ugh

Hope for the Dragons and humans

I didn’t enjoy the beginning of this book as much as the others, probably because I have read the others and all the danger felt like too much. Also, there are editorial issues here (the past tense of lead is led, btw). The second half the story really picked up, and I am looking forward to the next installment!

Four and a half

A few typos and editing errors in the beginning. The story is a good one and worth the time to read. Romance, suspense, evil dudes, and a HEA. Can't ask for more. This is the fourth book and it really does help to read the others first.
