Explored By The Mountain Man in Space is book five of The Mountain Man series by Frankie Love. I love Frankie Love’s books and I love this series. But I was seriously wondering how it would be with a mountain man is space. Well, it was amazing. It wasn’t silly or weird. It was insta attraction but not insta love this time. Quite the opposite actually.

Explored By The Mountain Man - Frankie Love

Nick Hugh has been on the planet Vitale for five years. Five years with no woman. Vitale is almost exactly like Earth except that the colors are different. A trace amount of the compound, Candeo was discovered on the planet. This compound is needed to help sustain Earth. It has qualities that will take science into the next generation. There are fifty men living and working on Vitale, all committed to finding the Candeo. But they are unsuccessful so far. The owner of the planet has used a new computer program that he guarantees will match the men with their perfect wife. So fifty mail order brides are on the way.

“She is an alter and I will worship her, I will offer her all that I have to give.”

man with a beard

Nick lives very frugally. His cabin is really just a one room shack. He has no running water or appliances. He knows it will be hard for his new wife to adjust to the way life is here. But he will do everything he can to make her happy. Nick just has to keep working. He needs to find the Candeo so he can send his family money. His family was ruined. They lost everything to a reality television family that conned them out of their property. So even though he is excited about having a partner to share his life with, he has to keep working.

“Ready to go where no woman has ever gone before.”

unearthly sky

Nova Maraday is the youngest in a family that lived in front of the television cameras. Her every move was documented, both on television and in the tabloids. This is not the life she wanted. When her family was finally caught at the illegal activities that were sustaining them, she wanted no part of them any longer. So, she signed up to be a mail order bride on Vitale. They want wives for the men there and to populate the planet by having babies. It’s all she wants. A true partner in life and to be a mother. But as soon as she got off the ship, her brand new husband took one look at her and his smile turned in to a scowl. It seemed like he hated her immediately. Why she has no idea.

Nick can’t believe that he was matched with a member of the family that ruined his family’s lives. How is he supposed to deal with that? How is he supposed to live with himself if he accepts her? His mind is saying one thing, but his body is saying another. Because Nova is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen.

Explored By The Mountain Man - Frankie Love

This was just so cute. Yes, they were on another planet. But the struggles they dealt with were real. Nova tried so hard to please Nick. She had no idea why he seemed to hate her. And Nick struggled with his conscience. And what a perfect ending. I loved it. A mountain man in space? Sure. It most definitely worked for me.

“You saw the dark from the light. And like your name, you decided to shine.”

The couple: Nick and Nova

Romance genre: space exploration; mountain man
Series: The Moutain Man
Length: 119 pages

Plot: Nick is working off-planet, and he orders a bride. When she arrives, he finds that she's the daughter of the man who ruined his family. He doesn't want her anymore (but he kinda does). He doesn't tell her why he seems to hate her though and he doesn't give her a chance to explain. But eventually, they will have to come to some sort of arrangement because they can't live like this forever.

Commentary: Poor Nova - I actually got a little teary for her because Nick was so ridiculously stubborn and mean. And Nova wanted so badly to be what he needed and she just wouldn't let her. And then she helped him in his mining (after a small accident) and all of a sudden things were better. It seemed like the accident precipitated his feelings but I think her helping him with his work was also a factor.

Previous book in the series: Wifed By The Mountain Man

*I volunteered to review this book for my honest opinion*
Frankie Love did it again, gave us another hot bearded man but with a twist, it takes place in SPACE!
Without giving too much away we have a hero who is a geologist and has been living on a different planet for 5 years now after his family went through tragedy he wanted to get away. The heroine has been having bad luck with her family and sick of being the black sheep of her family she agrees to be a mail order bride and live on the planet with him. He might have thought she was stuck up like her family but he's wrong and she is willing to show him that he shouldn't judge a book by its cover. They go through their ups and downs but in the end, this bearded man wants her and will fight to keep her.

I loved it! I wasn't expecting this, I thought it had aliens but nope just a group of hot men working on a planet being paired up by some mail order brides. I hope we get to see the stories of the other couples.

This was a quick read that was pretty dang good.

Mail order brides is one of my favorite tropes for western romances, so I knew I had to read this since it plays on that. Think mail order brides from the Wild West but transport that theme to the near future and the brides are going to another planet to help populate it. Nova is excited to start a new life where no one knows her because of her reality tv family, but when she meets her husband Nick, he gives her the cold shoulder. We have a little bit of angst going on and then Nova decides to find out what the problem is and gets lost on their new planet. Will Nick save her? Will Nick realize what he's giving up before it's too late and will he fess up as to why he's being so yuck with her? Read it and find out :)

I liked Nova, a lot. She was brave and strong and had a good head on her shoulders. Nick was kind of a jerk. Sure, he had his reasons, but still. He was jerky. I loved the epilogue!

This was my first book by Frankie Love, but I'll gladly read more!

Title: Explored by The Mountain Man In Space
Author: Frankie Love

4 unexpected stars

This isn't my first novel from Frankie Love's Mountain Man series, but it is, however, the first time I see them in space. Which i must admit, brought a twist that i hadn't expected in the least, and yet, it was the perfect twist that kept me captivated from start to finish to find out what would happen to our couple. Looking for something they never had on earth, Nick left in the hopes of gaining the riches that were taken from his family - taken by his wife's family. Nova left to finally become herself, free of her family name and everything wrong they've done to others. All both want is simple: love, family and a fresh start, but will their families come between them?

4 breath taking dreams

Compared to her other mountain man novels, i enjoyed the space twist that Frankie Love gave it to this book. It was different and allowed this author to expand on so much, not limited by what was available on earth. She still made it believable and relatable, and quite honestly, i can't wait to find out if she'll continue her space bound men series.

Mountain man

Gah it kills me to do this because I typically love Frankie Love books but I just couldn't with his one. The story itself was really interesting and different. What I couldn't deal with are the characters and there relationship. He was awful and rude to her up until like 80% then he loved her. They didn't even talk for two weeks. So no connection or chemistry what so ever. I was also disappointed in the announcement about Aurora then nothing else came about it. She wasn't mentioned again. Overall I liked the idea of the story. I just couldn't get with it because of the character and lack of connection. Liked the happy ending and cover though.

This sounded like a different idea for a book so I wasn't sure what to expect going in. The girls in this have cool names! Nick and Nova, both of them move there looking for something, he wants to discover the stuff to make money for his family, she wants an escape and fresh start. They don't have an easy love connection in the beginning, he's kind of a butthead to her. I really liked this and would like to hear how the other characters r doing. It was a fun and easy read!
I received an arc of this.

Welcome to space!!! Be prepared for a hot bearded alpha man looking for a bride to start a family with!!
Only can Frankie Love create such an amazing love story while in outer space!!
Nick decided to leave earth after tragedy struck his family and moved to the planet Vitaie. Five long years have past and him and his 49 fellow colleagues decide they need wives.
Nova finally gets the courage to leave all the Scandal and family drama behind. Never wanting to be in the spotlight Nova decides to be a mail order bride.
There is an instant attraction between the couple, but Nick won't let it go any further. There are reasons why Nick will not accept Nova!! He puts a huge distance between them. You seriously want to slap Nick at this point with how judgmental he's being. Never judge a book by its cover. Nova not knowing what she has done wrong goes searching for Nick. Getting lost and hurt was not part of her plan.
Will Nick come to the rescue? Can he fix the situation they are in? Is it to late?
Another fantastic insta lust to love story by Frankie Love!!! This book has it all!! Lust, sexiness, angst, love and ultimately acceptance!!!

Markus Farrow is a mogul billionaire that owns a planet, Vitaie, that supposedly possesses a hallowed compound, Candoe. In order to retrieve this compound, he had to hire men to work in mines on the planet. Most men who signed up to work on the planet agreed to a 5 year contract, but there are others that are committed to stay until their job is complete and they actually discover Candoe on Vitaie. They only have one request: Wives.
Nova Maraday is looking for an escape from her fall-from-the-top, disgraceful family. After their latest stunt, Nova has to get away so she applies to be a mail-order bride not knowing she will be sent to another galaxy. She has grown tired of being attached to her family antics and paying the ultimate price for it: Loneliness and no prospects of a date.
Nick Hugh is on Vitaie to reclaim his family's lost fortune and the discovery of Candoe would be the answer to that predicament. Even though he is a bit skeptical about the compatibility algorithm that his college roommate, Markus Farrow, has created to match the men with wives, he wants a wife, partner, and mother for his future children. Until he actually meets HER, Nova Maraday, the daughter of the man that ruined his family.
I hope you enjoy Nick and Nova's intergalactic journey to love. I know I sure did and loved Frankie Love's new frontier on her mountain men. Beam me up, Scottie!

I was a little sceptical reading this book a space mountain man, but I have to says that it’s all that you want or expect from a Frankie Love book. Its quick read with a great story.

Nick left earth for a new life after an event destroyed his family. He is a geologist that’s has moved to the planet Vitaie to search for a substance called candeo believed to have healing powers, Nick has lived on the planet for five years with numerous other men and they crave female attention, after the investor learns of this he puts in place a plan to get the men to stay and create life on this new planet.

Nova is on her way to a new life hoping to find love and acceptance after living a life on earth clouded in scandal caused by her media hungry family. She meets Nick and they have instant chemistry, but something is pulling him away from accepting her in to his life after a spectacular night together he pushes her away. Her loneliness grows until she tries to search him out, with some interesting consequences.

Don’t judge this story on the blurb, it’s a hot alpha male and sassy sweet innocent heroine, with all the ingredients you expect, insta-love and lots of lust. Looking forward to more in this series.

EXPLORED BY THE MOUNTAIN MAN IN SPACE
by Frankie Love

Really loving reading Frankie Love's books her characters never disappoint and this book is no exception. Nick and Nova are strong characters that draw you into their story. You feel the heartbreak that Nick feels as he tries to right the wrongs from his past and still be able to have a future on a strange planet that offers him the greatest possibilities. Nova a smart, beautiful, honest young woman trying to make her future as bright as her name takes the chance that this will be the chance of a lifetime to be who she is at heart and no just on the outside. Really loved how fast paced this book is yet you want to slap Nick and say hey stupid what are you doing or hug Nova to offer comfort as she struggles to be who her heart dictates she be. Cant wait for the next Frankie Love book to come out i'm a true fan for life.

Nick is a geologist & hot bearded alpha mountain man now living on the planet Vitaie. Nova is his mail order bride & also the daughter of the man that ruined his families life. This charming novella not only has hot mountain men but it offers a twist with taking place in Space. A quick read with sexy mountain men & a sci-fi vibe. What do you get when you read this? A storyline that grabs your attention till the end as its Witty, Sexy, Full of Passion & Forgiveness. Nova is a sweet, caring, strong, & courageous character & portrays the heroine very well. Nick is a smart, strong, stubborn & fits the bill perfectly as a mountain man. The supporting character's add a nice touch & would love to see them have there own story told. A sweet & perfectly done ending to this novella. Love the epilogue. I volunteerly reviewed am advanced reading copy of this novella.

Honestly I went into this with super low expectations. I read the other books in the series and I’m a series finisher so I felt I had to read this. But to be honest I accidentally read a alien romance once before and I found it truly horrifying. Lol. So I was really expecting to hate this. But other than the fact that they colonized a new planet there was no weird alien shit and the story was actually well developed and enjoyable. Had I had higher expectations it might not have been a four star read but I think she deserves it for shocking the hell out of me. I’d actually love to hear the stories of some of the other brides that landed themselves on the planet. She mentions one woman being left by the man who was suppose to be her husband and having no way to go back home. What happened to her? Inquiring minds want to know.

To assist his family Nick relocated to the planet Vitaie five years ago to mine for a product that will be in high demand once they find it. The men are lonely so the investor has matched women who are looking for arranged marriages with the men there and Nick’s match is Nova. Nova wants to start a new life that includes a husband and a family and to escape the drama that surrounds her on earth. Why isn’t Nick pleased with the woman chosen for him and will he be able to move past his preconceptions or willing to get to know the real Nova and not the person she appears to be or is this match destined to fail from the start? I loved how Nova changed as the story progressed and stood up for herself and what she wanted. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

What a unique storyline. I have fallen in love with Frankie Love’s books and this one not only has the sexy mountain man vibe that she write so well, but also has a sci-fi vibe that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Nick is a geologist that has moved to the planet Vitaie to help mine for the rare substance Candeo. A substance that has healing powers and can help solve numerous problems back on earth. The investor learns, after 5 years, that to get the men to stay on they need women/wives to 1) keep them happy and 2) to populate the new planet. Most of the men are here for their own personal reasons and Nick is no exception (sorry I don’t do spoilers so just trust me his reasons for being there are HUGE). Anyway the investor creates an algorithm that finds the men their perfect match and the women arrive on the planet already signed sealed and married to their unknown spouse. Thus Nick meets Nova; his new wife and a part of the very reason he’s moved to Vitaie. And boy does that create a rocky start for them. I know it sounds like like I am talking in riddles but once you read this awesome story of starting over, love and forgiveness you will totally understand.

2 Thumbs Up Ms. Love for another heartwarmingly tender mountain man story. One I highly recommend!

Omg this book was so different from your other books but once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. Nova is a spunky little fire cracker in need of a change from her family's mess. And opportunity arrives to be become a wife to a mountain man with n space. Nick is one of men working on a planet to find a rare Candeo. And he's hoping to help his family get back on there feet. With the big payday finding the matter. They been digging for 5 years and only found little partials of it but not the big payday. So now he's getting a bride to help with house work. And to make babies in the new planet. And when Nova walks off the spacecraft to meet her husband . She get a grumpy caveman. Cause Nick who Nova is. It's the reason he ran off to a different planet. And to help his family. Her family put him a family in the red. But Nova has no clue. I said enough. I don't want to ruin it anymore.

I was a bit hesitant to read this book when is showed up on my e-reader. I'm not a fan of the futuristic romance stories, but this is Frankie Love, who never disappoints me, so I sat down and started to read. The fact that this takes place a another plant will play such a small part that you will not really even notice it. This is typical, spot on Frankie Love, with strong men and women and a sweet, sexy, touching love story. I really enjoyed Nova's character. She had such determination to prove that she was more than her family name and what they had done. It was also a pleasure to watch her prove Nick wrong about who she was at her core and what she wanted out of life. This was another highly entertaining love story from an author who knows how to write her mountain men (whether on earth or in space). I don't know what I was thinking when I hesitated but I very much enjoyed watching Nova get her man and her HEA.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy that was provided to me by the author. This did not influence my opinion and the thoughts expressed are my own.

Frankie does it again! This book was everything I have come to expect from Frankie and then some. The setting was painted beautifully, the storyline was realistic, yes even for a sexy mountain man in space, and the main characters were strong and yet still struggling like you'd expect from such a drastic change in lifestyle and location. I loved this story so much, even though I loved the HEA too, I could go for more Nick and Nova! This is a fast read with steamy love and a little danger. I highly recommend this book from Frankie! As with all Frankie Love books Explored by the Mountain Man in Space offers the perfect mixture of smut, sex and storyline.

Nick and Nova are good examples of how society today is a little messed up (hello reality tv) and how the impacts can last across planets. Its a little avatar meets the host and its brilliant.

As always the happy ending really makes the story worth the read. If you are looking for something quick and easy I would highly recommend this.

Candoe love

What a great imaginative mail order bride book. The star, Nova, sounds a whole lot like a Karadashian , only pure. The hero, Nick is the son whose family was swindled by the yard family. The do make a perfect couple after difficult times and disastrous falls. A new planet to expire and find cancel which makes fusion work. Very imaginative and wouldn't it be nice if it were true!

The hero was an ass to the heroine when they met, and the morning she gave him her virginity, then left her alone in the cabin for two weeks. For the majority of the book there was no character development or interaction, and then towards the end he figured he was an ass to her and she quickly forgave him. He needed to grovel....ALOT, and she needed to push him away until he EARNED forgiveness.
I love Frankie Love, but this one was a miss for me.

Explored by the Mountain Man in Space by Frankie Love was fantastic! I could not put the book down. Nova was a sweet character stuck with a stigma and all she wanted to do was get away from Earth and the drama her family started. Nick is a man who escaped Earth five years earlier and has been on a mission to find a mineral that could change life on Earth. I felt myself taken away on an adventure that I was not ready for. I loved the romance, the steam, and the drama that happens. I cannot wait to get my hands on more books by Frankie Love.

I absolutely cannot get enough of Frankie Love's mountain men. Going into this one I was a little apprehensive, not knowing what was going on, but it turned out to be a really good book. It was a quick, sexy, steamy read with a gorgeous bearded man and a very sweet woman. They balance each other out perfectly. I'm really hoping we get to hear more about these space mountain men.

Nick and Nova left Earth at different times because of events that took place in their lives. Who knew that they would be perfect match according to a computer program?!

I really hope Frankie continues with this theme and wraps up the stories she left openings for. She came up with an amazing idea to do mountain men in space without getting hokey or taking it too sci fi and I'd love to see more of these stories! (But I'm a sucker for Frankie's mountain men so I'll follow them anywhere.)
