I was in graduate school when the author, who was working in the same department, was writing this textbook (3rd Edition). I'm the "lower performing student" needing to "reduce self-esteem threat following his upward comparison" on page 74.

Harkitsin neljää tähteä mutta totesin sitten, että enpä tästä juurikaan huomautettavaa keksi. Franzoin kirja on loistava yleiskatsaus sosiaalipsykologiaan. Se on mielenkiintoinen, helppolukuinen ja hyvin rakennettu – siis sellainen kuin oppikirjan kuuluu ollakin. Välissä saa testata itseään tai tutkia värikkäitä graafeja. Marginaaleista löytyy sanaselityksiä, lainauksia/sananlaskuja sekä kysymyksiä, joita voi pohtia. Sekä keksityt esimerkit että referoidut tutkimukset tuntuivat jäävän hyvin mieleen.
