The Imperial Palace is breached! While the Emperor tries to hold mystic wards in place, a desperate battle takes place in the twisting, arcane dimension known as the webway…

The webway – a bizarre alien landscape created by the eldar in ages long past; a network of otherworldly tunnels that burrow through time and space. When the wards protecting the webway are accidentally breached by the primarch Magnus, hordes of daemons are able to exploit this weakness to attack the heart of Terra directly. While the Emperor himself tries to hold the wards in place, a desperate battle takes place in the webway itself – a battle that requires very special combatants – among them the Psi-Titan Borealis Thoon.

John French is a writer and freelance game designer from Nottingham, England. His novels include the Ahriman series from Black Library, and The Lord of Nightmares trilogy for Fantasy Flight. The rest of his work can be seen scattered through a number of other books, including the New York Times bestselling anthology Age of Darkness. Interesting, but I feel like this story is harder to consume for those who are not too deep into the Titanicus lore, including myself.

May 2024 Read using the Horus Heresy Omnibus Project Reading Order Omnibus XVIII Omnissiah II End of Empires (https://www.heresyomnibus.com/omnibus...) as part of my Oath of Moment to complete the Horus Heresy series and extras.

A John French story about a hitherto unknown Titan Ordo that appears to be solely piloted by Nulls (someone without a soul whose presence negates psychic power) that have Psi-Titans and some real 40K nightmare crew and mechanisms and whose whole thing is using ancient esoterica, alchemy, and magick who otherwise are chilling under the North Pole fighting colossal Daemons in an Escherite chamber of an Impossible City that has no regard for the rules of any kinds of physics or reality?

I challenge you to find something that could not possibly be more my cup of tea and I need to know so much more!

Absolutely adored it. Extremely happy. Thank you!

Through using the Horus Heresy Omnibus Project (www.heresyomnibus.com) and my own choices, I have currently read 38 Horus Heresy novels (including 1 repeat and 4 anthologies), 22 novellas (including 2 repeats), 119 short stories/ audio dramas (including 6 repeats, but not including a number of additional repeats for clarity), as well as the Macragge's Honour graphic novel, All 17 Primarchs novels, 4 Primarchs short stories/ audio dramas, 2 Characters novels, and 2 Warhammer 40K further reading novels and 1 short story...this run, as well as writing 1 short story myself (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1t...). I can't say enough good about the way the Horus Heresy Omnibus Project suggestions. I'm loving it! Especially after originally reading to the releases and being so frustrated at having to wait so long for a narrative to continue.

A new(ish, I'm behind, I know.) Horus Heresy short story written for Black Library's Titans line up, today we see something really new and interesting!
Taking place alongside The Master of Mankind, in the Emperor's War for the Webway, this story follows the PSI-TITAN(yes, an actual Psi-Titan) in its' part of the War in the Webway. The story is split between some absolutely amazing War scenes that really show John French's creativity and massive skill when it comes to detailing how things work in the world of Warhammer and some awesome Pre-Webway scenes that give us a little hint at the politics and operation of Ordo Sinister.

The story was a well written blast to read, and any 40k fan should definitely read it! It's a damned Psi-Titan for crying out loud!

Breathing taking concepts

Now, that was a short story told within the constraints of the format and manages to hook you from the get-go.

The Ordo Sinister are a truly mysterious and dark ordo that know one knows much about and the author has great fun playing with this particular branch.

A great addition to the horus heresy mythos. Would love to read more about hidden ordos within the 30k universe.

‘There are monsters, and then there are the monsters we make to fight them. Both are the same. The difference is simply a choice of how we see ourselves.’

In a story that takes place after "Master of Mankind", a dark and terrible weapon is unleashed in the Webway to stem the flow of daemons. I really like the weird and esoteric side of Warhammer, that deals with rituals and superstition so this was a fun short story for me.

Secret to very end

A very good short story about a little known ordo of the imperium and whilst no secrets were revealed it did hint at things and let the reader speculate on matters and want much, a lot more

40k in 40 words: A chilling tale of the Emperor’s psychic Titans, *Ordo Sinister* blends awe and dread. Its portrayal of towering war engines powered by souls radiates terror and mystery, making it one of the darkest, most unsettling explorations of Imperial might.

Excellent. If you enjoyed Master of Mankind you will enjoy this. French brings home the difference between regular Titans and Psi-Titans in spectacular fashion.

This is not a short story to be missed.
