Started out really good. I love the unrequited love aspect of it. It reminded me a lot of the movie Sabrina (the original one) where girl was in love with the guy but he doesn't notice her so she goes off to Paris and then comes back a swan. That's what Zoey did after being unknowingly rejected by Blake over and over again. She went to Paris and became glamorous. She came back to Beachwood Bay intent on winning Blake's love once and for all.

I was rooting for her but she started playing games like making him jealous and pointedly ignoring him even though they work together on his film. To me, this went against the growth that I was told she had achieved while she was in Paris. Once she started doing that, I felt like her character regressed from this sexy, confident young woman into a clingy, immature one.

Blake was okay but he was kind of shallow. I have no problems with heroes who are actors but Blake was a bit shallow for me. He wanted so much to be famous and validated that he was willing to do anything to achieve it even if it means dating someone just for the sake of appearances. I wasn't very keen on that. Plus, I never really got the feeling that he was as in love with Zoey as she was with him.

Overall, an okay book. Many readers will probably love it. There were just too many issues that stopped me from enjoying it.

So, not only is this my first Beachwood Bay book, but it’s also my first Melody Grace book. I’ve seen the books around and may even have one or two on my kindle, but I just never got around to reading them.

Unwritten is book seven in the Beachwood Bay series. I’ll admit that I was a little worried that I would be lost, but I’m happy to report that I had no problems following along. This is a standalone novel with a HEA (wooo!). Zoey has been in love with her best friend’s brother for years. Blake has only ever seen Zoey as an honorary sister. But one night changed things between them.

I found this book to be extremely enjoyable. I love Hollywood/actor romances so this was right up my alley. I also love the long time crush/crush on a friend’s sibling type of stories. There’s always so much history with the characters (if done right) and you can feel that as you read.

I especially loved how Zoey went out of her way to make her interest known and while it wasn’t totally lost on Blake, he also was a stupid guy that didn’t pick up those clues and run with’em. It took Zoey playing games and not paying attention to him while spending time with other guys (in a friends-only way, not that Blake realized that) for him to man up and finally do something about the attraction that they both felt.

I really loved the behind the scenes look at the movie Blake was making. And I loved how even though Zoey was just an assistant on set, she made the most of it and wasn’t all “my job sucks!” She really wanted to learn about what went into making a movie. I was also happy to see that she found something she really enjoyed doing and it turned into a job after the movie wrapped.

This book was actually going along at a 5 star pace. My biggest issue came with Blake’s actions regarding his next movie/how he handled his relationship with Zoey. He was a total idiot. And while I’m glad their “breakup” didn’t drag out very long, his actions to get her back were too cheesy for me and she took him back way too quickly. I just wish there had been…more….more talking, more honesty, more heartfelt declarations from Blake. Zoey even called him on it initially and said that he’s an actor and it’s hard to tell when he’s being heartfelt. Then she gave in 5 second later.

☆ I received an ARC via Give Me Books in exchange for an honest review. Thank you! ! ☆

Unwritten was one of those sweet unrequited love romances that many of us gals fall head-first over.

But, was it just me or with all of the potential the story line had, did it feel as if it fell short of expectations or not feel realistic?; not to mention, it seemed pretty sappy and made the female heroine look ultra pitiful and the male heroine look like the wishy-washy type?

Don't get me wrong, I did think that this was a cute novel, but I just was a bit disappointed in the characters and the way that they reacted to things. Blake needed to get a serious wake up call and get his act together. And Zoey needed to be not such a weakling and a sap.

Anyway, I'm sure many of you hopeless romantics will love this story but it fell into the "okay" zone for me.

I really enjoyed Unwritten. It was nice to get back to Beachwood Bay and all the characters I’ve loved from the past books in this series. Unwritten is book seven in the series and still as good as the rest.

Unwritten centers on Tegan’s best friend Zoey and her brother Blake. Zoey has been in love with Blake for years. Finally, one New Year Zoey decides to see if the connection she feels to Blake is only one sided. With one kiss everything changes between Zoey and Blake.

Blake is back in Beachwood Bay working on a low budget movie, what he wasn’t expecting was Zoey to be working on it too. The more time they start to spend together the more their feelings for each other grow, only one problem, Blake. He kept letting his head get in the way of his heart.

My only problem with the story was Blake, he was so hot and cold most of the book. It really ticked me off because I liked Zoey. She was a sweet girl and was always rooting for him to successes, but he couldn’t get over his own insecurities.

Unwritten is a nice addition to the Beachwood Bay/Callahan’s series. It’s a fast read with some steam, humor and that will leave you with a smile on your face.

Blake that boy is either bi-polar or he just has some series issues, I mean one minutes he's all, "I don't want to eff you up against this wall, but God, I'm close," and then the next he's a moody twit. He's a touchy type of man, "I wish we could spend all day in bed." His hands trace light circles on my stomach through my T-shirt." Blake when he pushes his woman's buttons he better watch out Zoey has a temper on her, "your assistant?" My voice rises. "Is that what you think of me? That I want to fetch you coffee and mail for the rest of my life?" Overall this book was alright I mean my favorite is still Dex, but Ash is up next so we'll see if that boy takes the lead.

Zoey had a major crush Blake since the day she met him. She’s best friends with Blake’s sister.
But 6 years later she makes a move. Adorable quick read. Loved it.

4.5 Unwritten stars!

"You can hope and dream for something for years, and then get exactly what you always wanted, and it's nothing like you thought it would be. Real life isn't a dream, Blake. It's a lot messier and more painful than that"

Unwritten follows the story of Blake and Zoey. Zoey has always felt like an outsider. Her parents live a very busy life, never really having time for her. She's been shipped off from one school to another, basically raising herself. She had no friends. She was just alone. That is until she meets Blake. Blake gave her some kind words and showed her that she didn't need to hide who she was and that one day, things would be better. It was that moment that she fell for Blake....Years have passed and he never saw Zoey as anything other than the little sister type. Until one day, Zoey decided to take matters into her own hands, making Blake open his eyes to what's always been in front of him. Will Blake finally open his eyes and take a chance?

It's no secret that I am a big fan of the Beachwood Bay series, so when I find out that there is a new book coming out, I get completely giddy. I am addicted to this series and the characters. And this book was no exception. I fell in love instantly and couldn't stop myself from devouring each page.

This book had everything that I've come to know and love from the Beachwood Bay Series. It had the perfect amount of angst/drama, romance, and steam. The story flowed really well and the characters were super easy to connect with.

Blake was a charming, fun guy. But, in reality, he's just pretending. He has a lot of self loathing and has built his walls so high, that it makes it impossible to get through. He's so afraid to take a chance on something real and his fears almost make him miss out on something truly amazing.

"He needs me. I can feel it in the passion of his kiss, the desperate way he clings to me, trying so hard to express what words fail to convey. That this is everything. Him and I, together, right here. I fall into the moment, and know that no matter how hard I try, I could never find a love like this again"

Zoey....I felt so bad for her. Always on her own, never really feeling like she had a place in life, friends of her own or a place to call home. I just wanted to give her the biggest hug and tell her things would get better. She was such a kind person and always in Blake's corner, even when he didn't deserve it. Their road to their HEA was a bumpy one, but once they both got over their insecurities, it was so worth it.

There is a moment at the end, where a scene from one of my favorite movies was played out and that just made my heart swoon. I still can hear the song from that movie in my head. What am I talking about? Well, you'll just have to read it, won't you?

Unwritten is a wonderful addition to The Beachwood Bay series. It is a great friends to lovers story that will frustrate you, make you swoon and have you wanting to read more. If you are a fan of the Beachwood Bay series, you will not be disappointed. I definitely recommend checking this one out!

Melody Grace strikes gold with Unwritten, another brilliantly-written 'Beachwood Babe' book! My favorite intertwined series, Beachwood Bay books are all sizzling, sexy, fun, witty, intriguing, and raw. You can't help but connect and fall in love with the characters.

Zoey has had a school-girl crush on four years older Blake Callahan, her best friend's older brother, since she was fourteen years old. Blond and blue-eyed Blake, the youngest captivating Callahan, is tall, muscular with that oh-so-hot and perfect 'V,' Pure man candy. Manwhore. Blake is one of the hottest upcoming actors...making his way across Hollywood and into ladies' bedrooms across America.

"To him, I was just the kid he'd found on a bad day, a younger sister type he helped out because that's what you do. But to me, he was my hero. The only boy I ever wanted."

Blonde and blue-eyed Zoey grew from a shy, awkward teen into a beautiful, long-legged, curvy, chic, and confident 'fashionista' and worldly woman. The awkward duck became the graceful swan. On a whim, eight years after first meeting Blake, Zoey decides, "What the hell?!?" and kisses Blake at a New Year's Eve party, shocking him speechless, and causing him to see a sexy woman instead of just his little sister's best friend.

"This is what I dreamed about, all these years of innocent fantasy. I must have played this moment a hundred times over in my mind, but nothing is as sweet as the feel of his lips claiming mine, the heat and desire blazing to life throughout my whole body."

Knocked on his arse from a kiss that rocked his world, from a girl he thought of as a little sister but is now pure sexy siren, Blake is going to channel his acting skills like he's done his whole life of pretending. Pretend nothing has happened or is happening. Pretend he feels nothing. Pretend he's not scared. Pretend Zoey doesn't know the real him.

"I can still taste the sweetness of her lips, smell that maddening scent of her perfume. Her body, pressed close against me, tempting me to just grab her tight and kiss her the way I've been craving for weeks now, ever since the night at the party on New Year's Eve. I can't. That was a mistake, one I swore I wouldn't be repeating."

A master at acting, Blake is so good that he keeps his feelings well under wraps, his heart surrounded by a stone wall, and the pain from his past buried and locked deep inside. To the world and even his family, he is the peacemaker, the happy and carefree Blake. No one sees the real him...no one can except Zoey...and that scares the hell out of him.

"Real is dangerous. Real could unravel everything. And Zoey, she's more real than anyone I've known. Which means this can't go any further. It just can't."

Zoey needs to convince Blake to ditch the script and go improv. Let the acting remain on set and show his real feelings. Let go the darkness and past...embrace the light and possibilities. If only it were that simple.

"You can hope and dream for something for years, and then get exactly what you always wanted, and it's nothing like you thought it would be."

5 real stars!

I have read every book in the "Beachwood Bay" series and each book has got better and better.
You can read this book as a stand alone if you want to, but I'd recommend that you read the whole series as the books are amazing.
I absolutely love a forbidden love story and this story was just that.
Zoey has been in love with her best friend brothers, Blake for a very long time. She's always trying to get his attention, but never really having much luck.
Zoey has a rough childhood. She was bullied at school and her parents were never concerned with Zoey and spent most of her childhood pushing her away and having no real relationship with Zoey. Everyday was hell for Zoey until she meets Blake one day and she feels she final found someone who gets her and is important to them.
I couldn't help but feel for Zoey. She has lived through hell for years. This has made her very angry. She thought she found a great friend in Blake. He was the quiet, nice and real boy in her class, until one day he just disappeared. Blake made Zoey feel important in so many ways, so wasn't happy when her 1 true friend just upped and left with no explanation.
Zoey does make friends eventually again with her room mate. What she doesn't no is that Zoey's roommates Teagan has 3 brothers and one of them Is Blake.
Zoey goes out of the country for awhile and when she comes back she has changed. She's not a girl any more, she's a woman. She's more beautiful, worldly. More confident in herself and more confident with men too.
I loved Zoey returning. She completely changed and I loved that about her and that Blake couldn't ignore his feelings anymore as the attraction between them is intense.
Blake was a character I found I liked one minute, but the next I didn't understand his decisions and made me dislike his slightly.
Now Zoey is all grown up, Blake starts to see her that way a bit more. She's now a women, not a child, but seeing as its his sisters best friend they both no they can't go there, even though they both want too. Blake doesn't just have Zoey to deal with, he's now making a name for himself as a movie star. That in Itself brings women his way and puts more pressure on what they should both do.
Throughout the whole book I could feel the tension and passion between the couple, but neither would take the next step. It was very obvious that despite what happens in the past and present that they want to be together, but neither will take the leap and admit it. I'm guessing it was through fear of losing each other's friendships.
I did get really frustrated with both characters throughout the book as neither would say his they felt. I love a good build up, angst and push and pull but this went on to long in the book.
I did like that I didn't no what would happened between them and it kept me wondering all the way throughout the book.
The story was defiantly up there with the other books in the series. I enjoyed the characters and Zoey and Blake's story. The story was romantic and passionate and a great book to read on a rainy afternoon.

-- SYNOPSIS --
He’s my best friend’s brother – and the only boy I’ve ever loved. Movie star, manwhore, and totally off-limits.
Until now.
I told myself it was time to move on, until one epic night changed everything. Now there’s no denying the way I feel when he touches me, or the reckless desire in his eyes.
Once we cross that line, there’s no going back. But can I risk it all for him when he’s still hiding secrets of his own?
Some love stories are destiny. Ours is still unwritten.

-- MY THOUGHTS --
Quick fore-notes: Although this is the seventh book in the series, I've not read any of the previous ones, nor have I ever read anything my Melody Grace until now. While I am NOT a fan of the awkward looking cover, I was intrigued by the minimalistic approach to the synopsis.

The story is written in a first-person POV, most often being Zoey's but later it alternates more between her and Blake. All switches are clearly defined and the transitions are made smoothly. The prologue begins on New Year's Eve, but then picks up months later. Throughout, there are flashbacks over the past six years. The timeline is clearly marked and easy to keep track of.
Zoey's had a secret crush on her best friend Tegan's older brother, Blake, for years. But being four years younger than him, she was always seen more like another kid sister. Now, both adults, she's home from a stint in Paris and she's determined to make him see her for the woman she is. A New Year's Resolution, hers, coupled by a steamy kiss is the only validation she needs to persue her attraction to him. All of the characters, whether good, bad or ugly, are well-written with diverse personas creating a rich, full cast. The dialogue and interaction between them is believable and feels fairly natural. There is enough dynamics and drama to keep the plot from feeling flat or listless and plenty of conflicts that needed to be worked through, some more maturely that others - but that is to be expected when the characters are early- to mid- 20-year olds. There was not a lot of predictability. The conclusion was solid and felt complete.

A final word: You know how you have a favorite snack, like a can of chips or a pint of ice cream? It's a yummy treat that you enjoy devouring, but then you look down and it's gone? You kind of feel guilty because you consumed it in one sitting and now there's none left to savor and enjoy? That is how I felt with this book. Ms. Grace has a fluidity to her writing that made it entirely too possible to devour the book in a binge read.

Zoey is a girl abandoned, quite literally. Her parents are wealthy, her dad an ambassador, and she traveled along as their baggage until they left her in boarding school. There she met Tegan Callahan and her three older brothers. Blake, older by four years, was especially nice to Zoey and helped her feel good about herself on all those occasions when Zoey's parents couldn't be bothered. You know, like Christmas and graduation day?

Anywho, Zoey idolized Blake, loved him from afar, and ran off to Paris when she finally learned that Blake would never see her as more than his sister's friend. Two years more worldly and wise, Zoey's returned to the US, and catching Blake's eye is her number one priority.

Blake has shielded his heart for so long, he can't really connect to his needs. His parents' died his senior year of high school, but Blake keeps up the positive façade to motivate his siblings--and himself. Getting close to a woman is impossible, because they all want to know about his tragic past--but Zoey's different. She's always known his backstory, after all. All grown up she's quite the classy girl, and he can't seem to escape her now that she's a production assistant on his movie set.

Their attraction is fierce, but they proceed slowly, neither willing to sabotage their friendship. For Zoey, Blake's family is all she has. For Blake, Zoey's dynamite, threatening to blow his positivity persona to Kingdom Come. Plus, Blake's movie career is starting to blossom. Can Zoey handle the scrutiny and scandals? And, why should Blake expect her to?

I liked Zoey a lot. She takes her lemons and makes meringue pie. She is unfailingly optimistic and loves with her whole heart. Blake is the only man she wants, and--like Grease's Sandy--she transforms her dowdy juvenile look into a sleek woman to catch his eye. Once there, she proves to be far more intriguing than Blake had ever imagined. Even so, she's still rather innocent--a little leaguer suddenly promoted to the Yankee's starting rotation. Blake is captivated, but unable to pursue her due to his (misplaced) loyalty to his sister, at first. A little well-timed jealousy, cultivated by his own pal, forces Blake's decision to pursue Zoey--and he botches it brilliantly.

Readers, have no fear. Blake makes a spectacular backtrack and the HEA is cinematic. (Good thing, because Blake's family was really, really, unhappy with him!)

The Beachwood Bay series has quickly become a go-to read for me when I need a well written story that is guaranteed to keep me smiling as I turn every page. I always enjoy the best friend’s brother story line, and this one delivered a fun romance between two people who have had a connection for years, but have to work through some issues before they can find their happy ever after. It had some angst, some heat, and some sweet, which made this another good read for me.

Although this isn’t my favorite read from this series, I enjoyed watching Zoey and Blake struggle to find their HEA. I liked getting glimpses back into the past to see the relationship that formed over the years between Zoey and Blake. It was so clear that these two were a perfect match, but it was also clear that they needed to find themselves before they could find each other. Blake had some moments where I really wanted to reach into my kindle and give him a good smack, and I found myself wanting Zoey to yell at him to man up (or give him that smack for me). Of course understanding the baggage that was being carried by both Zoey and Blake made me sympathetic…to a point.

I did love watching Zoey and Blake together, when all the emotional baggage was stripped away and they were just themselves. There was such a great connection that you could feel between them and I loved how raw their emotions were written on the page.

“I don’t know what I did to be so lucky,” he murmurs, his eyes full of emotion. “What it is you see in me.”

“You,” I tell him softly. “I see you.”

What I really loved about this book (and all these books), was the rest of the Callahan crew, especially Ash (and I really can’t wait for his story!). This is one tight family who always seems to know when to hold back and when to push when it comes to helping each other work through problems. I love being able to catch up with the characters from previous books and I think one of the things I enjoy most about this series is knowing that even though the entire family may not get a big part in the book, they all play a role in story.

As I said, not my favorite read in the series, but definitely worth checking out.

I loved this story it had a variety of things for me to love. You know the forbidden fruit yes this story kinda has that vibe. I have read some of the books in this series but I have missed a few so going to go back and get caught up on all of them. Zoey who was always pushed aside by her parents and she was treated poorly at school. The mean girls until one day she meets Blake. Just a random guy who sits and talks to her and makes her feel important. But as quick as he was there he's gone. So she meets her roommate who is Teagan and she has three brothers Ash, Dex, and Blake only Zoey hasn't met them yet. She goes home with Teagan to pretty much be an adopted sister since the Callahan family lost their parents in an accident. But as years go by she hopes he will one day see her as a woman. Not an awkward teen. All grown up and coming back from Paris a new Zoey is born confident flirty and beyond beautiful. She goes to a new years eve party and has a plan well she gets what she wants. So three months later and she is working with this guy and you can feel the chemistry between them. But she has this comical side to her. And Blake does to but nothing can ever happen between the two of them because to many people are involved. I really loved this book it had angst and kept you wondering what would happen. One thing I can say is the way these two had put up walls made you want to tell them it's gonna be OK. Definitely going to get the ones I haven't read in this series. There's no greater feeling that opening up a book that you've anxiously waited on. As a reader, I have a handful of authors that I follow and fangirl like crazy when it's release time! Melody Grace is one of those authors for me! And to be a member of her ARC team is like wearing the crown jewels!

Unwritten doesn't disappoint! In this book, we follow Blake, the youngest boy and older brother of Tegan Callahan. Blake is the golden boy. Actor. Playboy. Charmer. Yet, that's not the real Blake. He hides himself underneath all of that to mask his feelings. Enter Zoey. Zoey has loved Blake since the day she met him when she was just a teenager. And Blake, while not realizing it at the time, has harbored feelings for his little sister's best friend, too. Finally on New Year's Eve, Zoey goes for broke and kisses Blake. Sparks ignite and sudden feelings are questioned. Yet, Blake can't let himself "feel" what he knows he does for Zoey. Their story gutted me in that stomach churning, emotional way that we crave as readers.

This book is dramatic where it needs to be, funny and witty, and of course, sexy as hell in true Melody Grace fashion. Blake and Zoey's road to HEA is rough, tested, and trying, but so worth the ride. I give this 6-amazing-stars! Bring on Ash. I'm anxiously awaiting to know more about the brother we know so little about!!

Great job, Melody!! <3

This is defiantly a MUST READ!! Melody Grace just keeps you coming back for more!! WOW I just so adore this book, it's all action and keeps you on the edge to the very end!!
Blake is wonderful character, part of me loved him and part wanted to shake so sense into him. Zoey was a very strong willed and determine in what she wants, and you can't help but root for her. This Book has got to be one of my top favorites of this series, it's so filled with passion, intense, and emotional through out!!
Zoey had been so over the moon for Blake, but to scared to say anything about, for fear of losing more than just Blake. The Callahan's have taken Zoey as one of the family, after Tegan went through high school together, and her parents never took time out to spend with her. Zoey was so in love with Blake that she risked everything for this one chance with Blake. All I can say is LOOK OUT Blake!!
This Beachwood Bay series just keeps getting better, I am going to have to wait for Ash story next, Ash seems so in control and tightly-wound. Thanks Melody Grace for amazing series that I have fallen in love with each one of the characters, that you bring to life and let us readers enjoy!!
I Recommend to all that love an amazing romance book and series!! (FOR 18+ up)

Unwritten is part of the Beachwood Bay/Callahans series. We finally get to see movie star Blake!
So, first I'll say, overall it was great. I fell in love with this series from the beginning, with Emerson & Jules in Unbroken. I loved the characters and I love the writing style, so I've continued to follow...

So, Zoey & Blake: Zoey has had a crush on Blake, her best friend's older brother for years. That's always one of my favorite scenarios for some reason!
She has grown into a strong, fairly confident, independent young woman. I love the glimpses of Zoey's inner thoughts.
Blake is of course the bff's gorgeous big brother. He is charming and charismatic. He is working to become an actor.

The characters are awesome! The writing style is wonderful. It flows beautifully. It's so easy to sit down and get lost in this beach front town.

It has been awhile since I've read some of the other books, but I had no problem following along when older characters popped up. It was a perfect mix of old and new. So if you haven't read any of the other books, you won't feel left out/like you're missing anything.

This is my first book by Melody Grace. I have to say I enjoyed the pace at which she writes. I didn’t realise til I had started that this was book 7, so I wasn’t familiar with all the characters and was meeting them all for the first time. I don’t think it spoiled my enjoyment of the book though.

I liked Zoey to begin with. She had been in love/lust with Blake for years and she went off, reinvented herself as a sexy vamp and came back to claim her man.

Unfortunately, Blake was an up and coming actor and he really was all about the fame. He seemed more in love with himself than he did anything or anyone else.

I think Zoey got a bit immature with the trying to make Blake jealous and she forgot all the lessons she had learned! She came across as quite needy.

Blake was pretty one dimensional. He was happy to do anything if it meant it brought him more fame.

Why these two thought they would actually get it on with each other in any kind of meaningful way was a mystery to me!!

But, despite these ying and yang characters, I enjoyed watching their trials and tribulations as they battled towards a HEA.

I was given a copy of Unwritten by the author for an honest review.
We meet Zoey and Blake who have known each other through growing up. Zoe is best friend with Blake's sister. Zoey being in love with Blake for as long as she can remember always trying to gain his attention, but figuring he always just seen her as another little sister. Blake the stubborn guy doesn't trust that he is good enough for Zoey and doesn't want to move forward with anything to mess up the dynamic.
But when Zoey returns from Paris, all grown up, to help work on the set of Blake's new movie how long can he resist her for? Of course being a celebrity causes trouble and drama. Do they have a strong enough relationship to make it work? Or should they have just remained friends?
I really enjoyed this story. I thought it flowed really well and enjoyed all the characters. It had a good combination of a sweet love story with also some drama and angst mixed in there. I would definitely recommend this to someone looking for a sweet romance story about the build up from friends to lovers.

*An ARC was provided in exchange of an honest review*

This was a pretty good read. I hadn't read the previous books that led up to this read but I wasn't lost. It would have however been nice so on my part, I want to start from bk one to start from the beginning of the series. I, in a sense could relate to Zoey because of how she had a crush on Blake for some time. Because of this, I was routing for her from the go. And then there was Blake. Where to start.... Well I really was hoping that he'd snap out of his arrogance but it was a fighting battle. It's like for a lot of it he was kinda blind to Zoey's feelings. Then comes the fact that he's scared of being emotionally involved. So yes, this book has lots of angst! Oh and the heat that they share is pretty intense!!

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Melody has done it again!!!!! I absolutely love the Beachwood Bay series and Unwritten did not disappoint!! I was able to read the book in 3 hours. I didn't want to put it down.
In this book you meet Zoey and Blake. The chemistry between is undeniable!! He is trying to make it big in the world of acting and Zoey just wants him to notice her.
I was so happy this book also included all the other characters from the series so far!!! I am ready for May to get here so I can read the next book in the series!!!

3-3.5 stars. Escaping to Paris for 3 years to mend her broken heart may have given Zoey confidence, but she has no back bone. She is still insecure and immature. Blake may be charming, but he is a self-centered jackass. Nothing lovable about these two. Just O.K.

Zoey has been in love with Blake shove the first day she met him. He gave her a pep talk when he found her hiding away at the same boarding school his sister was going to. Zoey and his sister became roomies and best friends. When Zoey’s parents would ditch her she went home with Teagan. And on one of these visits Blake gave her her first kiss. She is determined that this is the year she will let him know she isn’t a kid anymore. Blake is filming a movie and is torn by his feelings for his sisters friend. Another great story!

This is the 7th book in the series.

We’ve met both the hero and heroine in the past few books. We knew the heroine had a crush on the hero and he didn’t know it.

However, this book not only tells of the romance part of their history but also the other important chapters of their history including this new chapter.

We don’t expect the heroine to get a runners job. Nor the producer and the hero being such good friends. We knew it would be tough with the hero’s occupation but it was unexpected the way he handles it.

I wasn't thrilled with Zoey and Blake's story. Blake was too distant to Zoey for the majority of the book for my liking. He was always finding a reason to ignore her and then when Zoey was giving another guy attention he went all crazy jealous and decided she was his... I did like how Zoey decided to go after what she wanted, consequences be damned. Overall it was okay. I'm just not a fan of Blake.

Zoey had been in love with her best friends brother Blake for years, now she decided to do something about it, but what will happen, will he see her more than like a kid sister? I found this one more intense and loved it, once again all the other characters are in it which makes it an amazing read, all of Melody's books are highly recommended.

The book was really good as the characters were so relatable. I have read the other books in the series but I must say the hero was kinda lost but in end it was a happily ever after for all as expected.... but he needed to be more mature when it came to her.
