I don't know why I thought this book would be funnier than it was, but I did, and it wasn't. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad. It just wasn't as good as I hoped. A solid eh, okay.
There are few stand-out poems in this collection and most read as a compilation of lists (e.g. quirky names of students in one poem, possible illnesses in another). While these techniques may work successfully in one or two poems, Nesbitt's increased dependency on such wordplay and similar linguistic tricks breeds boredom instead of life into this poetry collection. Not recommended.
kangarupets" some pretty tricky words !!! this book is great for imagination. students will read something really fun. sounding out words in this book may be hard. Really good readers for this one have them do the five finger test first.
