I like the brother, but he seems way too involved in his sister's love life lol.

With Everyone's Getting Married 6, most of the conflict in the story comes down to Asuka's colleague Kamiya not giving up on her yet. Asuka and Ryu are firmly committed, of course, but her family is curious why she never talks about her boyfriend. Then Kamiya shows up at her family's house for dinner one night and Ryu is a decidedly unhappy boyfriend about it.

Yuko Sakura, the woman who made Ryu bitter about marriage, didn't come up in this volume, which was nice. It was mostly about Kamiya circling around Asuka and trying to find a way around Ryu. Of course, it doesn't help Ryu that Kamiya is a genuinely nice guy and well liked by both Asuka and her family (especially her judgmental younger brother).

In this volume, the couple decide to take the relationship further by moving in together rather than merely sharing each other's places. Of course, they manage to find the same apartment as Kamiya, increasing Ryu's frustration. In addition to new pressures at work, it's beginning to take a toll on his relationship with Asuka.

Miyazono doesn't tread any new ground in the josei (adult women) genre here with Everyone's Getting Married. But this is a gentle slice of life giving a different perspective on the juggles of a modern business woman. Reviewed from an advance reader copy provided by the pblisher.

I felt their relationship is continuing to progress in a good way for the most part. They are talking more, and letting the other one in a little more.
Kamiya is still the worst though!
Seeing more of Asuka's family in this volume was great. Her conversation with her mom was a great addition to the story. I'm invested, and I'm excited to see how it goes.

I enjoyed the hell out of this volume and I don’t even know why tbh. I already know what the big issues that pushes them forward is gonna be and I’m here for it.

Another satisfying volume of people confronting issues and talking about things instead of carrying misunderstandings or deep secret passions through 10 volumes of story. I'm interested to see where it goes next. The two main characters just moved in together but the dude who keeps vying for the fMC lives in their building and seems as though he's going to continue to cause drama, and perhaps become more interesting to the lead.

2.5/5

I feel that Asuka and Ryu's relationship is heading towards this stagnant place which makes me sad and bored. However, the ending was a big shocker, so now I'm looking forward to the next volume. Good job, 6! With that said, why does Kamiya still exists? He's a filler, a block, and a stalker. He's pissing me off and why I lowered my rating.

This manga is when the relationship between the main characters start to become more serious! I love it but at the same time I'm starting to hate Kamiya. He is a creep that pops up way too much in Asuka's life for my liking.

The plot in this volume is like on double speed. So many things happen that I wish it was spread out in the previous volumes instead. I am super intrigued to see what happens next because the first major obstacle in their relationship is about to occur. They will obviously survive, but I am interested in seeing how they do.

i feel like i could really start liking kamiya if he'd just drop his thing for asuka, like you confessed, she rejected you, let it the heck go my guy. be friends if you feel like you can emotionally handle that! you clearly have plenty in common. but don't keep trying for a girl who's told you she's not interested

i also liked getting to meet asuka's family this volume. 3 stars

2020 Read #112

Kamiya is such an unnecessary character, especially since Asuka and Ryu already have conflict with their differing opinions on marriage. Honestly, most love triangles are absolute garbage simply because most of the time you know the main couple is in no danger of breaking up forever. Come on.

It's starting to be really weird that they aren't talking about children. That should be an important factor--Asuka seems to want not only marriage but a family and at this point while Ryu has made his opinion on marriage very clear he's said nothing about kids.

More like a 3.5
Can I get a volume without Kamiya in it? The ass hat irritates the fuck out of me. And oh, no! We’ve got a dire situation looming around the corner! Just when the couple finally moved in together!

Sweet is the best way to describe this volume. Both Ryu and Azuka are growing into the relationship and taking steps forward, even with Kamiya somehow always popping up.

I am somehow thinking, why not Kamiya? Kamiya is nice, is okay, is good, is. *sighs*

I enjoyed the series but felt it was too short for the price. I liked the story and the characters

This is soooo good. And the cliffhanger they leave us on! I'm curious to how they'll work it out with this hurdle.
