The Life and Times of Jesus #2

They Walked with Jesus: Past Life Experiences with Christ

Rate this book
Sequel to Jesus and the Essenes .

The past-life memories of two women capture a true and compelling portrait of Jesus the man, from the healing miracles he performed to the gentle philosophy he preached. This is an INSIDER view, direct from Jesus' time, deep in feeling tones and profound in implications, giving a sense of how things truly were. This book includes drawings of the Temple and Old Jerusalem, and includes scenes at the Temple in Jerusalem, visits to homes and leper colonies, political intrigues leading to the crucifixion, and also the personal feelings of those who met him. The realism of this information is astounding.

Dolores Cannon (1931 - 2014) was a self described "past-life regressionist" and hypnotherapist who specialized in the "recovery and cataloging" of "Lost Knowledge". Her roots in hypnosis went back to the 1960s, and she was specializing in past-life therapy since 1979.

Dolores became, perhaps, the world's most unlikely expert on the prophecies of Nostradamus. A retired Navy wife from Huntsville, AR, USA, Dolores was nearly fifty years old when she began experimenting with hypnosis and past-life regression. The results were, to say the least, quite spectacular!

Working through several different subjects, Dolores was able to establish communication with the living Michel De Notredame, better known as the prophet Nostradamus. His revelations and their impact on our own time are both fascinating and at times frightening.

Dolores has written the three volume set "Conversations With Nostradamus", the series on the translation of Nostradamus' quatrains. This series contains the translation of almost 1000 prophecies, all interpreted for the first time and have been in print since 1989. It is considered the most accurate interpretation of the prophecies ever printed.

Dolores has been a UFO investigator for twenty years, using her skills as a regressionist to help people that had been involved in abduction cases. She has written several books on the UFO information volunteers have revealed while under hypnosis.

Her unique technique of hypnosis is being taught all over the world via the Quantum Healing Hypnosis Academy.

Dolores has written 17 books about her research in hypnosis and UFO cases. Her books are translated into over 20 languages. She founded her own publishing company, Ozark Mountain Publishing, in 1992.

Dolores has toured in the USA, England, Europe, the former Soviet bloc countries, Australia, New Zealand, and parts of Asia to promote her works, and to discuss her particular brand of psychic research. She has spoken to radio and television audiences worldwide. She has given lectures at such locations as: Whole Life Expos in Los Angeles, New York and San Diego; Global Science Congress; various A.R.E. Edgar Cayce Foundations; Conscious Living Expo and MBS Expo in Australia; The College of Psychic Studies in London, England; The Theosophical Society in London, England; as well as many other organizations. Dolores was the first American and the first foreigner to receive the "Orpheus Award" in Bulgaria, for the highest advancement in the research of psychic phenomena.

Articles by/about Dolores have appeared in several magazines including: "Body, Mind and Spirit"; "Magical Blend"; "Connecting Link"; "Kindred Spirit" (an England magazine); "People Magazine" (an Australian magazine); "Conscious Living Magazine" (an Australian magazine); "After Dark" (the Art Bell magazine); "The Unknown Magazine"; "The Washington Post"; and "New York Times". Also magazines and newspapers in Russia, Spain, South America, Bulgaria, Japan and Arab countries.

Dolores appeared on various TV specials including "A Current Affair" (in Australia); BBC Documentary Series "Divine Magic"; "Ancient Mysteries of the World" (a two hour special on CBS); "Ancient Prophecies I and Ancient Prophecies II" (two hour specials on NBC); "Encounters" ( a one hour special on FOX network); "Good Day LA" (in California); "Mysteries, Magic and Miracles" (the Sci-Fi Channel); "Marilu Talk Show" (ABC); "Biography" (series on A&E Channel); "America After Hours" (CNBC); "CNN International Entertainment News".

She has spoken on over 1000 radio shows including Art Bell’s Dreamland, George Noory’s Coast to Coast, and Shirley MacLaine, plus speaking at innumerable conferences worldwide. In addition she had her own weekly radio show, the Metaphysical Hour, on BBS Radio for nine years.

In this book Cannon describes her regressions of two subjects to past lives where they knew Jesus.

First, Mary is regressed to a life as Abigail, who serves at the Temple in Jerusalem, playing with and teaching children. Here she meets Jesus (though not aware of his identity), and provides us with a moving description of him. He has white light all around him and has an overwhelming depth of understanding in his eyes. They had "no end to them. They just went straight on - straight on inside". Jesus, who is talking to people in another part of the Temple, senses Abigail's presence and comes over to her and the children.

Abigail has a pain in her head caused by her not being able to share her knowledge (that of the Essenes) and
Jesus spontaneously heals this pain. Abigail and the children had a special experience when Jesus approached them. She felt that they were "very expanded in the light" and "just glowed". She felt that they were "out of time". Though unaware of Jesus' identity, she knew he was "of the light" and a "Son of God".

In the second and final regression Anna returns to a life as Naomi, who is the niece of Jesus, or the Nazarene as he is called. Her father, Joseph,is half-brother of Jesus. Naomi cuts her hair, disguises herself in boys' clothes and is finally allowed by the Nazarene to "walk with him" and his other followers, spreading the teachings of the Essenes and helping those in need.

The Nazarene is tall with hair "the colour of wine" and blue eyes. He is "deliberate and grave", has not been seen to laugh but on the contrary to "weep". (This description is cited from an article by Jack Anderson, which appeared in Parade Magazine.) Naomi sees a golden light around his heart, his head and his hands. She too describes Jesus' eyes as going "beyond this world". This golden glow "fills up any emptiness inside you and -- makes everything feel warm and loved." He differs because of his sensitivity, understanding and lack of fear.

Naomi accompanied the Nazarene to a leper village, where she helped attend to the lepers and relieve their pain. She explains that, though he relieves the pain of many of them, he cannot heal everyone, not if the illness was a part of the afflicted person's karma and destiny. And if someone didn't believe he could be healed, it would not happen.

As regards the teachings of Jesus, Naomi explains that when you learn that there is God in you connected to an all-encompassing God, you know that you can heal yourself and others. What is important is to live through the heart, to be of service and care for each other. We are all here to be of service to one another, and should treat each other as we would want to be treated. You must become aware that you ARE this "loving God-essence". It is an "all-encompassing feeling of warmth and love and knowing that it is alright to be you". You are perfect as you are.

Naomi talks of John the Baptist, who was actually called "John of the Water". The ritual he performed was to cleanse the spirit - a symbolic cleansing and a ritual of dedication to God.

It was important to Jesus that his gatherings were like a brotherhood or fellowship, where everyone was on an equal level. No-one was higher than another. He tried to teach that we are all brothers and sisters. He knew that it was his time to ascend, and that he was needed on other levels to continue his work. He left Naomi with the message that she should walk in love, follow the path of the Light and struggle against fear. "The only truth is love and light". If you cast aside all fear, you will keep yourself healthy in mind, body and soul. It is fear that creates all diseases and ailments.

The Romans had tried to kill the Nazarene by putting him into a crate and rolling it into a ravine, but he survived. Jesus chose the time and manner of his death. On the cross he was calm and in no pain. Naomi did not herself see this, but was told of it. After the crucifixion, where Jesus died after a short time, he appeared to Naomi on the road. He had a new gown on and talked to her with his mind. He told her he loved her and would always be with her, and that she should continue to help those that cannot help themselves.

This book presents an extremely moving and inspiring tale of Jesus, shows how he really was, and gives us the true essence of his teachings. The descriptions are such that we almost feel we are there ourselves, see Jesus, feel his love and see his light. We are taught his simple teachings of love and helpfulness.

I thoroughly recommend that you read this book.

I think it was better than the first book. This was touching. I felt a personal connection with Jesus. A few times I had to put the book down and soak it in for a while.

I found the subject matter just mesmerizing! I was totally impressed with the wealth of information that comes forth; as the author, who is a talented past life regressionist, retrieves the story about "The Nazarene" from the subconscious of a present-day Jewish girl who has no real conscious knowledge of the Christian faith. However, it is revealed under hypnosis, that not only she has extensive knowledge of architecture and historical details of the time, she reveals other detailed information that logically, it would be impossible for her to be privy to.

I absolutely loved the meticulous research inserted after the sessions were completed, with the explanation that a regressionist is cautioned to not do any research until after the hypnotized subject is interviewed, so as to not even indirectly influence the results of the session in any way.

I came away after reading the book, that I gained a much sought after question for myself, and personal desire to know who Jesus really was and what he really came to teach, and what a great and luminous soul he really is.

I see now how my suspicion that all the Christian religions that I'm aware of, are such a deviation from what Jesus came to teach. I don't mean to get into disparaging a religion per se, just to witness that the best of intentions perhaps, can be misinterpreted over the years and perhaps be manipulated by possibly those with not the best of intentions.

I'm truly grateful for having read this book and having been exposed to having seen this side of Jesus who was truly a Shining Soul who came to teach "The Way"; "to Love one Another"; and that "God is within us All"; and also, (according to the religious teachings of the time) not only males are the only ones who are worthy of being taught the written word and religious teachings. I loved that Jesus loved all people equally: healthy or sick, rich or poor, children or old, women or men, ignorant or learned.

To me, the source of this information has much more value than words that have been repeated by word of mouth perhaps many times after the fact, then written by someone's faulty recollection, then translated, then edited, then purged in a council of Nicea perhaps, then copied and edited by a council of learned priests...then according to the politics of the day...then Latin...the King James' version...ad infinitum.

Jesus Now and Then

For many years I have been a recovering Catholic. I say this not in jest but because I knew the dogma was wrong for me. I wondered what was Jesus thinking? Forced to go to Mass every Sunday I often wondered why Jesus would insist on such a thing. It was man who made this and many other things a "sin".

This book further confirmed for me that Jesus had no intention for there to be temples, churches or men, and only men, to build massive places for the purpose of prayer. However, this does explain the need for more than one collection. All of this stuff has nothing to do with loving one another and caring for others. I have been a recovering Catholic for many years as it takes awhile to reprogram after years of sin and guilt.

For many years, I have had great interest in regression hypnosis and Dolores Cannon is truly adept at this skill. But not only that, her follow-up research seems to be extensive.

This book is insightful and a fascinating read. I recommend it to anyone interested in past life regression therapy, reincarnation and what Jesus really taught and practiced.

A friend gave me this book to read, and although I thought I might only read a chapter or two, as it was out of my usual reading 'comfort zone', I found myself unable to put it down. Not being a deeply religious person I felt it would focus mainly on religion. I was wrong. Dolores Cannon is a past-life regression therapist and in this book we hear much about the lives of 2 women that lived in the time of Jesus. One of the women is his actual niece. I would like to think that the way he is described in this book is an honest portrayal of what he was really like - charismatic, humble, kind and extremely loving of everyone. He wanted everyone to love each other and live in peace and harmony. He felt that everyone was equal, regardless of gender (which was unheard of in those days.) He felt that the organized religions at the time had man-made ideas for manipulation and control. Both women were filled with an extraordinary feeling of love and light just recounting his presence when in regression.
There is a vast amount of knowledge about Jerusalem and life in general in those times.
Highly recommend reading this book.

A loving walk with our Master Jesus

What a pleasant book to read about such a humble man that loved the world so much and had so much to teach on our spiritual lives. I felt that I was quickly transported back 2000 years ago into the lives of his day and could feel the wonderful emotions that surround everyone involved. I will reread this many times.

Absolutely amazing. Delores Cannon’s books will always impact my life. We got to take another look into the life of Jesus through a subject who journeyed with him. Not surprisingly, the descriptions from the two subjects matched with Suddi from Jesus and the Essenes. There was a lot more historical context added to this one regarding the politics of Jerusalem, the uprisings, the architecture of Jerusalem and the temple. After reading the description of the massive temple, I think it illustrates how wild the splitting of the temple was at Jesus’ death.

I never thought I'd use the word invaluable in my life but here i am. The information in this book is invaluable if you are seeking yourself spiritually. Anyone who is ready will read, anyone who isn't yet might put it down for now. But Dolores Cannon made sure this book is of existence along with all her other books about the universe. Interesting. This is a "content book where if you want creative writing this isn't it. If you want, however, a book that can create a different mind from your own then by all means

Very good read. Just amazing.

I cannot begin to tell you how mrs. Cannons books have affected me. I started with her books at the 4th book. Then read one or two more. Then i decided to read all she wrote in order. Her books speak to my soul. For what she has done in her life has now touched mine in ways that cannot be changed. My coreself is now grown into much more filled with the light of god. For wherever she is at the moment, i thank her from my heart and soul. God bless.

I love Dolores Cannon. This book helped me on my way to discovering who the real Jesus was and what exactly he was trying to teach the world when he was here. There are many myths with a dying and rising savior. I'm trying to separate the man from the myth.

As someone who has struggled with my religious upbringing, and never feeling like it felt “right” to me, this book was life changing. I’ve always felt a certain way about religion and felt that it was something to be feared, and felt uneasy with all of the judgement and unkindness and fear inducing doctrine that comes with being involved in organised religion. This book has confirmed for me, everything I felt deep inside and more, about Jesus and God and my relationship to my own spirituality. I am truly grateful to have this knowledge and confirmation. I feel truly enlightened after reading this book! Very grateful for all involved in creating it. I feel closer to Jesus and God than I ever have before. I’m looking forward to reading more of Dolores’ work.

This book is not for everyone but I found it engaging and well written. The author spent the latter part of her life doing hypnotic regression and writing books about some of the cases she encountered. The picture she paints of the historical Jesus would make any reader want to know him, and suggests why his story has lasted more than two thousand years. She made certain not to do research during the time she was regressing patients so as not to influence her findings. Later research often corroborated information offered by the patients.

I went into Dolores Cannon's book expecting nothing, but fascinating stories of reincarnation. I never imaginged her reconciling me with Jesus. Yet she did.

I felt a strong connection to Jesus all my life, I studied Christian archeology and worked on many ancient christian sites of devotion and the early church. But there was also the strong feeling of something lacking within the teachings I came across, what I learned at church as a child and in Uni where I came in close contact with theology. It always made me wonder why people claiming to be devoted christians weren't at peace, but very restless, struggling with very human problems. When I graduated I was very disenchanted with religion. I understood how the christian church and teachings had been set up by humans.

"They walked with Jesus" and Dolores' other book Jesus and the Essenes breached the gap, they filled the blank I felt inside me when thinking about Jesus.

I'm deeply impressed with her sensible way of conducting the regressions, how she always posed the right questions and the answers she got in return. I listened to the audiobooks and I felt as if I was present not only during the sessions, but the episodes of Naomi's life. Her story deeply touched me, maybe because I could relate it to my own journey.

These books found me when I was in need for answers and guidance which my chosen path of Yoga couldn't provide me with. I've started looking into the historical figure of Jesus, Gnosis and christian Mysticism more closely. And though I'm still at the very beginning, I'm already finding evidence for Dolores' findings during her session.

My path has taken a completely new direction thanks to the work of this amazing women. I feel so indebted to her. I cannot thank her enough for giving us back the original Jesus, for granting us a glimpse at his original teachings deeply steeped in ancient wisdom traditions.

We are living in times of huge transformations, Jesus' message of unconditional love and deep peace is something that we now need more than ever. And I know in my heart there is much more to him, than we think we know, there is so much to discover if we just dust off the centuries of religious propaganda that have collected around this great teacher of humanity. We need to "redeem the reedemer" as Deepak Chopra put it in his book The Third Jesus: The Christ We Cannot Ignore.

Thank you Dolores, you filled the empty space in my soul that even my beloved Yoga couldn't fill yet. And it makes my heart sing that I finally might be able to follow Jesus in his true steps.

I would like to recommend this book for everyone. It is a sequel to "Jesus and the Essenes" that I would like to recommend to be read before this one. It really does no matter what faith, religion, you have if you look at it as a historical book. The history of the time of Jesus. Not just about him but the time period and how people lived and what kind of laws they needed to live by.

Dolores Cannon has made an amazing work with not just the past-life regression but research to back up what came through these regressions.

Page 49. "I love to search through old books, doing hours of reading to locate one significant detail. It is like finding a diamond in a pile of sand, and the search gives tremendous satisfaction."

Doing her research she found in the Vatican Library, supposedly written by Publius Lentulus, his description of Jesus. Which you can read on page 71. ... it ends with "... in beauty surpassing most men".

" The contents are deeply moving, giving a palpable taste of Jesus´presence and influence as well as vivid accounts of his activities, travels, healings and personal conversations."

"This is material you won't find in the Bible."

I truly enjoyed reading this book. It offers a refreshing and deeply touching perspective on Christianity, seen from another angle—through the lens of past life regression sessions conducted by Dolores Cannon.

What made this book special to me was how it reveals the teachings of Jesus in his own words—what he actually meant, how he taught, and what he was truly like. It paints a vivid picture of Jesus not just as a divine figure, but as a compassionate, kind, and very human being. The way he lived, spoke, and interacted with people is described with such honesty and simplicity, it brings you closer to the essence of who he really was.

I especially loved how the book challenges traditional interpretations and focuses on the heart of his message: love, forgiveness, and spiritual connection. I only wished there were more people Dolores had regressed, so we could explore even more details of his life and teachings.

If you're open-minded and curious about spirituality, past lives, or a more intimate look into the life of Jesus, this book is an enlightening and heartwarming read.

Because I met him ?

I have been drawn to reincarnation and once met an elderly Lady who drew Angel pictures who told me I " walked with Jesus " . Jeshua had many followers and having been one of THEM did not surprise me too much as I had some pretty incredible SPIRITUAL experiences . In one of THEM I cast out a dark entity from a person in need . Or was it HIM in me that did it. So I was drawn to this book because of its Title. I expected a lot more than what was, presented and no SPIRITUAL revelations were given at any time - only stuff you could also learn from the Bible and other sources. So : nice to have had the confirmation that I met the Saviour but sadly no deep insight into the mysteries if Life

I was really looking forward to this book, and while I really enjoyed most of it, I was left a bit disappointed. In my gut I feel like most of the information was accurate, but then why was a lot of the information recounted as though the character from the past couldn’t quite remember? It was spoken a lot like “I see two sticks on the ground over there… oh I remember what those are for! People bang them together to keep the rhythm!” Why does this girl not automatically know what those are for because they are a part of her everyday life? It seems less like it’s a parallel life being channeled through and more like the person under hypnosis has projected their consciousness to another place and time and is interpreting it through their current perception of being another person.

Dolores Cannon books (along with other hypnotherapy books) have made me question reality more than anything I have ever read, and let me just say that I read some “weird” stuff. I found myself emerged into a new sense of understanding and knowledge of Jesus. I found myself both believing and questioning everything. I am a puzzle-solver, and the biggest puzzle of all to me is finding out why we are here. This book, along with all hypnotherapy books, (whether you believe it to be fairy tale coincidences or some unknown entity talking through thousands of people who have been regressed) will make you question all you know as truth in this world.

Not much substance here. A couple people who through hypnosis supposedly recalled, from a prior life, interactions with Jesus. For some, it would perhaps help confirm that the Jesus of the Gospels was not a fictional character. But the Jesus described in this book is quite different from the Jesus described in the Gospels. And there was a supposed opportunity here to obtain some ideas about what Jesus was really teaching/preaching; but what we get is some vague statements about living "in the light" and caring for others.

Amazing story of Jesus told through the eyes of Naomi

As I read the story of Naomi and her recollection of Jesus I could feel such love and emotion coming through the words on the pages. Her telling of the crucifixion brought tears and sadness. Her telling of her last days on earth before she was reunited with Jesus was sad yet amazing for her because she was with Jesus again. She was ready for more learning and her next pilgrimage. Truly amazing!

I couldn't finish this book. It was just too boring. I bought it thinking I would learn something new about Jesus. There is a lot of historical material that doesn't interest me, and a lot of details about each subject's past lives and experiences that didn't interest me. There were a few beautiful moments when the subjects connected with Jesus in their past lives, but a lot of other stuff I just skipped over.

Truly remarkable book to feel what Jesus was really like. I've felt the love and gentleness he had just by reading about him, I cannot even imagine what it was like for those who got to meet him and walk with him.

The conversations were really interesting but the historical part was boring even though much needed.

It is like looking at Life of Jesus as a true human being

This book is like reading the life of Jesus as a human being which was not found in the Bible. I am glad that Dolores was able to find subjects who are willing to share their stories in Jesus time. How I wish I was there too to witness what really happened in that era.
