Combining her love for romantic fiction and rock ‘n roll, Olivia Cunning writes erotic romance centered around rock musicians. Raised on hard rock music from the cradle, she attended her first Styx concert at age six and fell instantly in love with live music. She's been known to travel over a thousand miles just to see a favorite band in concert. As a teen, she discovered her second love, romantic fiction -- first, voraciously reading steamy romance novels and then penning her own. Growing up as the daughter of a career soldier, she's lived all over the country and overseas. She recently moved to Galveston, Texas.

Shade & Amanda
Ok this books is all about petty, jealousy and bitter people. My god the dramalama.
Who lets there sister blackmail them like that. The way she publicly screws him over like that was messed up.
Tina is a real something. Anyone who talks to another person the way she needs taught a lesson, she is gross.
Julie is cute but the way she gets used from her mother is insane!
Owen & Katlyn
Ok she is older and sweet and he is younger and more experienced so he is teaching her things. It good but she is childish too and I was rolling my eyes a lot.
Still like the books just can’t believe how much drama these books have.
The narration is great.

TREAT ME
Because it had literally been years since I had read Jacob’s original story, I had literally no memories of him or his relationships when I began listening to this audiobook. Olivia Cunning is amazing though so despite feeling like this was my first book about him, I was quickly interested in his story. It’s unfortunate that Ms. Cunnings leaves such long gaps between these books as I’m sure I would have felt a much deeper connection to the characters had I recalled what I’d read about them. Even the worse, this installment ends in a huge cliffhanger which means that readers cannot find out what happens between Jacob/Shade, Tina and Amanda until Teach Me, book #13 which once again, infuriatingly, has not been published yet! Olivia Cunning is sooooo cruel!!!! I 100% would not have read this book had I realized I would not be able to get closure in the end and I highly recommend that readers not start any of Jacob/Shade’s stories until they are complete!!!

THRILL ME
Another freaking cliffhanger?! Nooooooo!!!!

It had been a long, long time since I read Owen’s story in book #4 and because Ms. Cunning presumably enjoys torturing her readers by leaving huge gaps in between each of these installments, I had practically zero recollection of Caitlyn or the dynamic between her and Owen. I did have a slight memory of Lindsay and her, “tryst” with several members of the band but like Caitlyn, I had absolutely no memory of her personality or the emotions I had felt while reading about her relationship with Owen. Because of that, it was very difficult to feel a connection or have any emotional feelings towards any of the characters in this installment. Sure, the sexual tension and the actual sexual acts were fun to read about but without the an emotion provoking plot, my appreciation for this book was negatively impacted. And speaking of the sex scenes, there were so many and they were so lengthy that I actually fast forwarded through several! Also causing me to fast-forward was the duplication in this book as we have to hear the exact same scene as we heard in the last book when the band realizes that Adam is missing. Overall, this installment is entertaining most of the time but it’s simultaneously lacking plot at times frustrating and worst of all, and again ends with a cliffhanger (with no sign of the conclusion being published anytime soon).

PERFORMANCE
I listened to the Audible audiobook narrated by Justine O’Keefe. I listen to a lot of audiobooks and have heard some really fabulous narrators but O’Keefe might very well be the best! She is truly amazing! Not only is she a stellar actress but she is great at altering her voice to help readers distinguish between which character is which. In this book alone, she demonstrated the ability to believably speak as a chipper young woman, a 4-year-old girl, a cowboy, a man with a Hispanic accent, various men and more! When emotion is required, you can always hear it in her tone of voice, emoting just the right amount. And unlike many audiobook performers, she very clearly differentiates between dialogue and narration. I have only great things to say about O’Keefe and look forward to listening to much more of in the future!

FTC DISCLAIMER: I RECEIVED AN E-ARC FROM THE PUBLISHER THROUGH NET GALLEY. I VOLUNTARILY OFFER MY HONEST REVIEW OF THE BOOK, THOUGH IT IS NOT EXPECTED OF ME! RECEIPT OF THIS BOOK IN THIS MANNER DOES NOT AFFECT MY OPINION OF THE BOOK OR THE CONTENT OF MY REVIEW!

After the debacle of Tease Me, the previous book in the serial series, I didn't hold out much hope for this anthology. Unfortunately, I was right in being worried.

This serial had been put on hold for a long time, so much so that I'd moved on from it. I hate the cliffhanger nature of serials, but what makes this series even worse is that there is a bit too much overlap between the books, because they all take place on the same day, just focused on different members of the band. It means that the overall plot of the serial arc is only slowly advanced, because we only get maybe one major revelation per installment.

Treat Me: This is Jacob and Amanda's installment. Jacob is always a jerk, but this time it was more pronounced. He kept pushing Amanda to go public with their relationship, and couldn't understand that she was trying to protect him from her sister. His denseness extended to the scene that Amanda created near the end of the story. If he had been paying attention, he would have realized that she was faking everything! Instead, he puts his head up his rear end and does everything possible to hurt everyone that matters to him, except his daughter. I was very disgusted with this story, and couldn't see how they could possibly continue on from this point, but more importantly, I didn't WANT to continue with this couple!

Thrill Me: This was Owen's installment. I felt it focused more on Owen and Lindsay, rather than the actual couple of Owen and Caitlyn. Owen was so naive when it came to Lindsay, he kept hurting Caitlyn because of it! It really felt like Owen had his head in the sand when it came to Lindsay, and couldn't see how she was manipulating the situation. There were some major revelations when it came to this installment, but it wasn't enough of a resolution to things. It left more questions than answers, and left the entire couples situation with Owen and Caitlyn completely up in the air!

All things considered, I'm not really sure I want to continue with this series. I know it is scheduled for 15 installments total, but I'm really doubting that things will wrap up within that frame. Maybe if it was one big collected book would I be interested in finishing things out.

Two sexy, action packed adventures from the guys of Sole Regret. Warning neither of these stories has a HEA or even a HFN but you know there has to be at some point. In the first of these two installments we watch Sole Regret's sexy vocalist, Jacob "Shade" Silverton fall off the deep end which is a change because he usually has it pretty much together. Watching him with his daughter is sweet watching his ex screw him over not so much. In the second we watch Sole Regret's sweet bassist, Owen "Tags" Mitchell caught between what he wants and what he should do. Can he make a go of it with Caitlyn? Is the baby really his? And what the heck is going on with Kellan? I look forward to the resolution to both these stories.
I’ll admit I would have liked this a whole bunch more if it weren’t in this format but the stories sucked me in and made me want to know more.

I have always enjoyed Olivia Cunning's books! Each character is it's own. They are strong and there is not one that is the same. They each have their own personalities. You LOVE each character even if they are wrong, but you livye their dirty minds more!
Jacob is a sweet man even though he comes about to others as rough around the edges. I really dislike his wife (my mom never let me say the word HATE). That is really how I feel about Tina. Amanda would do something to make sure the people she loves are not hurt worse by being selfish! LOVE HER!!!!
Owen is such a sweetheart and I love him and his goofy, foolish, naive ways! He kind of is clueless when it comes to women and it just makes you LOVE him more! There is a lot that happens between the rock group and the women in their lives. There is a bombshell at The end of this read and I want to know what happens!!! I will be definitely reading the next in this series!! You have to read these books! In order is a way to go or you will be confused throughout the book!!

I received this ARC from the publisher via Net Galley for my honest review!!

Treat Me: Jacob and Amanda are doomed from the start. Their story is a whirlwind of hot chemistry and deep emotions. The dynamics for this story are off the charts! This was a tanged web of hot mess that you'll love from the first word and cuss a blue streak for the follow-up.

Thrill Me: Owen and Caitlyn are a very adventurous couple. I found both characters very likable and charming. I kept waiting for that pivotal - wtf - moment and wasn't disappointed when it finally came. Lord, what happens next in this story?...!!!

As always, Olivia Cunning sells it with her witty dialog and developed characters. Another must read in the continuing Sole Regret saga.

I'd give this 2.5 stars.

This ARC was kindly provided via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I've read Olivia Cunning's Sinners on Tour series and liked the majority of those stories, some more than others. I was hoping for something similar with this series, and I suppose that's what she delivered, though I don't think the stories hold together as well when serialized like this. I applaud the guts it takes to try it out, but it didn't work for me.

I should start with a disclaimer: I came into the series in the middle, so I had to pick up the details of the story beginnings from context. That's okay; I knew that going in, and it doesn't bother me much, really.

But because it's always possible that other readers may do the same, there are a couple of things I'd like to see in each part to make it easier on everyone. First, there should be a couple of quick physical description details for the main characters up front. Even readers who've been on board from the beginning may not remember what the hero and heroine look like. The lack of mention of hair color or build until well into the story made it more difficult for me to picture the scene.

Second, because these novellas are so short, and there aren't many pages in which to move the story forward and further develop the characters and their conflict (especially with as many secondary characters as there are), any extraneous stuff needs to be skipped. With Treat Me, Jacob and Amanda aren't even in the same room together until chapter 3 in an 18 chapter story. That's too much time before things really get moving. And since we want to see the relationship develop, it would be great to see them interacting a bit with their clothes on but without additional company. I don't think there was a single scene until the restaurant at the end when Jacob and Amanda were dressed, together, and not with either Jacob's daughter or ex-wife. Basically, if they were alone, they were having sex. Don't get me wrong--I've read enough of Cunning's books to expect lots of hot scenes--but having them boning every time they're alone doesn't give a complete picture of them as a couple.

Now with Thrill Me (Owen and Caitlyn's story), I spent a considerable amount of time wondering if we'd end up with a poly situation, but I couldn't tell if it would turn out to be Lindsay or Kellen. Owen spent a lot of time thinking about both of them in addition to Caitlyn. It made for an odd dynamic because it feels like we're still pretty far from a payoff with either option if poly is the way this is going.

In terms of characterization, I was confused by Caitlyn. She's a successful professional, but relatively inexperienced sexually. She seems unsure about what she likes, but is also more commanding in sexual situations than I would have expected. I guess I would have liked more insight into her mindset so the character made more sense.

I liked Owen; he seems like a genuinely nice guy raised in a genuinely nice family. I'm interested to see how things play out with Lindsay, especially now that his mother is in the picture. And the cliffhanger involving the band, and the kiss, and everything...well, that was a whole lot of shit hitting the fan, and will make it difficult for readers of the series to wait for the next installment.

So, not quite what I was hoping for, and I'm not convinced to go back and read the previous books or continue on, but I can see why rabid fans might do so.

Treat Me is the continuation of Shade's story (started in book #3 Take Me). Happily spending the weekend with his daughter Julie and girlfriend Amanda while still hiding their relationship from his psycho ex-wife/Amanda's sister Tina, Shade is happy as he's ever been. As feelings well up in Shade he's ready to reveal the relationship but things take a turn for the worst when evil manipulative Tina finds out. An all out fight that threatens custody of Julie, his relationship with Amanda, & the future of the band has Shade devastated and making some life changing decisions that may not be for the better.
Thrill Me is a continuation of Owen's story (started in book #4 Touch Me). He's only been away from Caitlyn for a few days but he's fallen hard and fast and can't wait to see her again. Complicating matters is pregnant groupie Lindsey who still hasn't gotten a paternity test to see which band member might be the father. Owen sets her up with his mother to take care of her while he goes to see Caitlyn. Spending the weekend with Caitlyn opens up Owen's heart more as they get to know each other in and out of the bedroom but a run in with Caitlyn's ex husband has her questioning everything about relationships. Along with that, Shade's rash decisions put the whole band in an uproar creating rifts between them A tragedy in Owen's family has him & Kellan riding a slippery slope with each other that may or may not break their friendship and complicate things further.

The latest (#8 & #9) installments of the One Night w/ Sole Regret Series, is tons of foreplay with no Big O. Anyone who has read this series and Olivia's previous Sinners tour, will see a few parallels. One warm and gooey difference is the family element with Sole Regret, making us root for these guys more. In Treat Me, lead singer Jacob Silverton's ready to sell his soul to find his HEA with his daughter and new love. In Thrill Me, bassist Owen Mitchell is transitioning from groupie-banging rock dude with a baby on the way, to a man mature enough for the older woman now in his life. Fans are always impatient for Olivia's encores and hope they won't have to find their satisfaction elsewhere.

My Review of Treat Me, Thrill Me: One Night with Sole Regret Anthology (One Night with Sole Regret #8-9)
by Olivia Cunning
My Rating 3 Stars
Treat Me: I really enjoyed the story of Jacob and Amanda They have all kinds of dynamics surrounding their relationship but the angst within this incredibly hot romance was off the charts and had me turning the pages.
Thrill Me: Owen and Caitlyn’s story was hard for me to get into being the reason for only 3 stars.

Treat Me:
Has Adam fallen off the wagon as far as lyrics go. Shade is trying to help. Will Adam give up writing. Is the stuff gonna hit the fan. Amanda & Shade - I wonder how her sister is gonna act once she finds out.
Is the baby anyone of the band members, and what is she gonna do if it isn't.

Thrill Me:
None of these situations are ending up in a good situation.

Everyone is breaking my heart, and no one is looking out for one another.

I am a big fan of the author and her prior Sinner's Series... This series, the Sole Regret Anthology, has several story lines related to individual band members that can be confusing as there are so many secondary characters. I remain a fan of the author but not of this series. Thank you to Netgalley and the author for the reading recommendation.

Treat Me, Sole Regret 8 - Jacob and Amanda part 2 - Tina finds out and forces Amanda to break up with him.

Thrill Me, Sole Regret 9 - Owen and Caitlyn part 2 - lots of sex between Owen and Caitlyn. A bit of angst too, most of it unrelated to the couple in question.

Bought as part of audible romance package.

TREAT ME:
Jacob and Amanda’s follow up book had we swooning over Jacob. She’s all hard exterior but soft on the inside, especially when he’s with Amanda and/or his daughter Julie. The ending left me totally bummed and wondering how the heck it’s all going to work out.

THRILL ME:
In TM we move on to Owen and Caitlyn’s follow up. I loved seeing Caitlyn climb out of her shell. I’m very tired of Lindsey and found myself wanting to slap Owen half the time with his thoughts of her. I definitely think she’s going to cause a lot more trouble down the road for these two. The ending of this one had me crying one second and picking my jaw up the next. I hate that I have to wait for their next book.

My first book by Cunning and damn is she awesome! How ever now I need to go back a read the rest because I'm the time that needs to read all of a series. Back to Treat Me, Thrill Me they are awesome. I love Rockers and better than that I love rockers with real life problems. Cunning got this one just right and I can't wait to read the rest this week! Great job! Oh Yea, make sure and check out Cunning's other books.

Treat Me-This is just the beginning of life getting harder and harder for these characters. Jacob falls for his ex-wife's sister, is at his last straw of patience with his band mates and misses his daughter. Tina is a conniving manipulating b*tch that likes to make everyone miserable. Jacob doesn't stand a chance if he keeps playing by her rules, neither does Amanda. Mistakes are made and they need to be fixed. But I have a feeling that before I get to read about the fix up on the next story, things will only get harder. Jacob is loosing all that he cares about in only one weekend. Life gets so complicated that he just snaps feeling trapped. Will he be able to recuperate everything and everyone?

Thrill Me- If you ever make a sex list make sure you got this man to fulfill every item on it. I feel for Owen because he is a sweet sexy character with good feelings and great intentions. He deserves the woman he wants in his life, all in with deep feelings for him without having to worry about taking care of a groupie having his potential child. And not just that, I also think he deserves a special man in his life. If only he would take action and stop pleasing others without doing something for himself first! If only those around him, special to him, would stop denying their feelings!

Olivia Cunning is a rockstar when it comes to rockstar romances. I'm a big fan of the Sinners series and was looking forward to the Sole Regret series. That said, I'm sad to say that Olivia Cunning writing in this serial format doesn't work for me.

Broken down into separate installments, it becomes difficult to track each member of Sole Regret, not to mention their lady loves, one pregnant groupie, and side characters. The issue of the paternity of groupie Lindsey's baby is getting particularly icky as she nears her due date and her very presence is a huge obstacle to Owen's relationship with Caitlyn (Thrill Me).

Shade's story (Treat Me) doesn't feature Lindsey, but secretly sleeping with your ex-wife's sister proves to be an icky situation as well. Throw in the other members of Sole Regret and their issues with hidden feelings for each other, distrust after Adam's addiction problem, fear of abandonment, and another stalkerish groupie, and the band is on the verge of falling apart.

The serial format bounces from one over-the-top cliffhanger to another, and I just don't have the patience to wait between installments. I wish the author had followed her one whole book for each band member format, like with the Sinners series. At this point, I'm undecided if I'm done with series or should wait to pick up things after the series is completely finished.

While I love the Sinners on Tour series, I just can't seem to connect to the Sole Regret books. I think my main problem is the wait between the installments and the fact that there's always a switch in couple. It would've been much easier for me to bond with the characters if it had been one book per couple, like with the Sinners on Tour series. My second issue with this book (and the overall series) is the over-the-top drama. The storyline is very hard to believe. It's fiction, of course, but I like my books to be a bit more realistic.

That said, I really enjoy Olivia's writing style. The book was easy to read and had a nice flow. It definitely wasn't the worst book I've ever read, but I also wasn't blown away by it. I'd recommend this series, but would suggest to wait until all installments are published. It'll be easier to understand the storyline.

This book gives you two hot and steamy stories in one book. The characters in both books were fantastic. The more I read from this author the better they get. Both stories are action packed, making them very hard to put down till you'd finished them. You will fall in love with the characters as you read. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.

When I had the chance to read Olivia Cunning’s work I was ecstatic because I had always wanted to read her rock romance books. I loved the band interactions and the relationships I was introduced to. Even though there are back stories that I haven’t had the pleasure of reading yet I could follow along with this anthology without missing a beat. The only thing I need to do now is go back and read everything that I have missed out on and patiently wait for the next book on the guys from Sole Regret.

Treat Me
As the lead singer for rock band Sole Regret, Shade/Jacob had some things going his way. He was finally rid of his bi*chy wife, Tina and Tina’s sister Amanda has taken up residency in his heart. Jacob’s love for his daughter, Julie, was what mattered the most to Shade. Well, that and his new found love for Amanda; even if Amanda wouldn’t tell Jacob that she loved him as well. Amanda was in awe of the love Jacob had for his daughter. As for the band Sole Regret, things were getting tense for the guys because Adam wasn’t writing songs and the guys had a tag along that said she was pregnant with a baby that could belong to any of the band members.

How could this get worse…oh, let’s just say that Tina had threatened Amanda that if she didn’t publicly break up with Shade she would keep Julie from not only her but she would make sure Jacob wouldn’t be in his daughter’s life anymore. Then let’s add in to it that Adam had just taken off minutes before the band was to take the stage. Shade was sick and tired of covering for Adam so he gave the band the ultimatum that they replace Adam permanently or they were going to have to replace him because he was ready to walk away from it all.

Thrill Me
Thrill Me is Owen and Caitlyn’s story or is it Owen and Lindsey’s story? Either way I loved it. Talk about relationships and complications Owen’s relationships come with more complications than any one man should have. I loved Owen and Caitlyn’s storyline because the chemistry these two had was off the charts and along with all of that chemistry were actual feelings. Lindsey’s connection with Owen seemed to be with Owen feeling responsibility to take care of someone who needed help just like he was taught from his parents. That is the “good boy” Owen but the “bad boy” Owen gave some of the sexiest, dirtiest loving to Caitlyn.

With all of the women trouble Owen was trying to sort out his band was falling apart before his very eyes. With so much drama within the band at in his love life you wouldn’t think things could get any worse…until it gets much, much worse.

I received this ARC from NetGalley for a freely given and honest review.
