Will is a shy, young omega who came into his heat and was forced to whelp a pup too early in life. Labelled a trouble-maker by his old alpha, he and his adorable daughter, Annie, have been shunted off to the Rogue Pack. Will has only ever known fear and abuse. He’s leery of this new pack treating him and Annie any better. And, with his next heat imminent, his alpha insists he accept a mate. His choices are limited, but they include the virile beta who spirited him away.
Finn never expected to end up carting a male omega and his pup back to the Rogue Pack. Having suffered a devastating loss, he’s only been able to go on with his life because his new pack gives him purpose. The sweet and vulnerable omega thrust into his care is forcing him to reassess his intended future. The thought of Will and Annie belonging to another isn’t something his wolf can tolerate.
Forced together by sudden circumstances, Finn and Will wrestle with their growing desire, while the secrets of their pasts threaten their future together.

Reread: 21st May 2018 What a great pick-me-up from my current book slump. I loved the first time I read this book and I loved it even more the second time. Undoubtedly one of my favorite shifter books ever!
Somehow, I feel like the third book in this series is my favorites so far. 😍 And that’s saying something because usually I hate books where one MC is married before or has kids from the previous relationships. But surprisingly even to myself, it worked really well in this story. 😊
Will had been abused his whole life by the very man who was supposed to take care of him like a father. Misery and sorrow, torture and emptiness are the only things that he’d known for his whole life. 💔 Until he conceived Annie, the jewel of his heart, the owner of his soul. 💙 His daughter is the very reason that drives him to not give up and to survive no matter what. When his adopted Sire ordered him to relocate to another pack with a strange beta that showed up to collect new members, he didn’t think things would change for the better. After all, all powerful shifters are abusive, sadistic bastards in his opinion. But Finn, the beta who accompanied him to the new pack, seems different. He’s kind, patient and caring to him and his daughter. But are they genuine or do they have some up ulterior motives? Will didn’t survive this long by easily trusting people and only time would tell the answer about his conflicting emotions towards Finn. 😌
Like almost every member from the rouge’s pack, Finn had a terrible past. He is still recovering from losing his family from a war with a rival pack in the past. 😭 After being alone for a long time, he rediscovered his purpose in life by following Alpha Lorcan and belonging in the rogue pack. His role as a beta means managing and taking care for the members of the pack but that doesn’t mean he’ll take another mate and have a family again. He doesn’t think he’d be able to handle another loss. 💔 But when he met Will and his adorable daughter Annie, they seem to be able to push all the right/wrong buttons in him. 😉 Seeing the devoted father and his cutie daughter is both heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time for him. But he can’t seem to be able to stay away from them. Doesn’t matter what his brain says, his wolf is determined to claim Will as his mate. 😘
Thrown into a marriage of convenience by the inevitable circumstances, Will and Finn have to set aside their past traumas and work their lives out to be able to have a happy, functioning family. And just when the things got better, the unspoken and hidden past of Will was catching up to them and pushing them to an abysmal fate. 😢 It’s time for Finn to accept his emotions as they are and fight to the death for his new family. He has so much at stake, the mate he loved with his whole heart, his adorable, little daughter Annie and an unborn pup inside Will’s belly. 😭 Let’s hope fate is on their side for their sake and for their very much deserved happy ending.
I’m surprised by how deep the storyline is in this one. Reading about how far Will’s abuse and torture went simply broke my heart. 💔 And it’s amazing to see how power of love can heal the physical and mental torture of many many years. 😌 I really love both Finn and Will characters in this story. Finn is a very reliable, caring and loving mate and Will equally innocent, shy and faithful. And I adored Will’s daughter Annie. 😍 It was like a rollercoaster ride reading this book. I felt like this was much more than a hot, smutty shifters’ book. Loved everything about this one and couldn’t fault any. And only the storyline is good? Nope, the sex was smoking hot and sizzling! 🌋 The first time they mated will set the readers on fire! 🔥 So deliciously dirty and sexy! 👏 And the epilogue was the sweetest! 😍 Finn and Will really deserve each other and they very much deserved a fairytale HEA. 😘 And another win for that gorgeous cover! 👏 I rarely rate shifters books above 4 stars but this one is an exception! 😱 I can’t wait to read more in the series. Very highly recommended. 👏
Favorites excerpts from the story: 💗💜💗
The pup grabbed her father’s braid and grinned at Finn. “Da!” she said, flicking the hair is if it were reins, her gaze boring right into Finn’s heart.
“My wolf has other ideas, it seems. It can’t bear the idea of Caleb or anyone else claiming Will and Annie, and I can’t convince it otherwise, apparently.”
Inside his head, he heard a powerful howl call to him. Finn’s wolf. It sought his, but Will’s shy, little wolf couldn’t shake off the terror of its past so easily. With a whine, it curled up and tried to hide. Finn’s wolf would have none of it. It snuffled and howled, prodded and coaxed. Come on, sweetheart. Come to me. There is nothing to fear. I will protect you.
This was the real claiming. Forget sinking his teeth in Will’s neck. Being stuck together, dick to ass, his seed flying up inside the boy, seeking an egg and knowing it would eventually find one, made the omega his. And, only his. How could any male ever share this moment, this omega, with others? The very idea made his wolf crouch and bare its teeth. Will was his and only his. He would claim this omega over and over until his seed took root.
The beta crushed him to his chest and peered down into Will’s wide eyes. “I love you.”
5 life give second chances to those who deserve stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Not sure exactly what it is that made this book so good... it is definitely the best of the 3 books I have read thus far in this series. Finn is like beyond awesome... and it was so good to see him get his HEA. I love the way the author is filling in the supporting cast in each book and am happy that the remaining books in the series will continue to do so. I am enjoying this series sooooooooo much that obviously I have to keep reading on through till the last. It makes me wish there were more books in this series. All in all this book was an incredible read!
4th read: I needed me some Finn, Will and Annie time. Thank you very much! ;)
3rd read: I still loved it! :)
2nd read: bumping up half a star! It's one of the most adorable (and sexy!) wolf shifter stories I've read :)
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
3.5 stars! My favourite part of The Rogue Pack as yet! ;)
Both Finn and Will's backstories were heartbreaking but a chance meeting and a little unexpected mating helped them find warmth, affection and even love in their difficult lives.
All my favorite tropes - combined!! Hurt and abuse MC? Check. Back story for hero that is also tragic? Check. Lots of knotting and gritty shifter sex? Check. Mates with love forming? Check AND mpreg bonus? Check. Sigh. I'm a happy girl. I enjoyed the hell out of this one. Easily my favorite in the series so far.
Will. Oh, my heart. Will. He's the quintessential "omega that needs rescuing and a HEA" type of character, and I love reading about the rescued omega who falls for the alpha with a heart of gold and gets to heal and love and be happy. I just adored him, how much he cared for his daughter, how patient Finn was with him, just everything.
This is a great series, I'm really enjoying it. Definitely hope there will be more!
I can totally get why people are upset with Lorcan, and Will's old alpha is definitely a piece of crap there's no excusing that, but...it's not something that would make me no longer want to read the series.
Finn and Will were just adorable and perfect, so sweet at the end! Please write more in this series!
I gave myself a day to cool down but…yeah, still going with one star because everything Lorcan claims to stand for is a lie and I’m absolutely appalled. More on that in a moment.
Like another reviewer, I love the “rescued omega” trope, and Will definitely needed rescuing. I like that Finn wasn’t hesitant about taking him on, despite his own difficult past. At the same time, I have to admit that there wasn’t a whole lot of tension in the story (until the climax where Lorcan’s true character was revealed), so I’d normally have said it was a 3.5 book.
BUT…(major spoilers; really, don't read if you don't want the end blown)
Sooo…I’ve loved many of Ms. Cayto’s works, and I’ll read others in the future, but I won’t be reading any more about the Rogue Pack. I know that some folks will find that harsh, but the thing is, this series is about broken, disenfranchised shifters coming to the Rogue Pack looking for a safe home, and with any future book, I'll always know that those shifters aren't actually safe with Lorcan -- that's not a setup for an enjoyable read.
Yes, I was hesitate to read this book in the series because of some strong negative reviews but I'm glad I did read the continuation of The Rogue Pack!! I did get pissed at the alpha Lorcan for a decision he made but that didn't make me hate the whole book because everything turned out as it should have in the long run. Will and Finn were absolutely so cute together and I'm glad Will got his hea. Finn found love again and gave Will a chance without constantly comparing his deceased female mate to Will. Annie was very entertaining and I'm looking forward to reading Caleb's story!!
Omega's Breed by Samantha Cayto is the third book in her series, featuring a romance between an omega and a beta. Will, who is young, abused, and already has a daughter, is recruited alongside a gamma by Finn, the rogue pack's beta. Finn has his own sadness and past, but he otherwise keeps a level head.
The plot of this book starts out dark, the evidence of abuse against Will by his old pack apparent. These books do not have content warnings, so I'll list them now: . Finn is thrown into emotions he hasn't had to visit for awhile, but he knew he wanted to be the one to care for and protect Will, regardless of his own past trauma. Their situation morphs into a mating-of-convenience, which Will pragmatically accepts because he sees the advantage of having a high-ranking member like Finn being his mate. All of what Will does, he does for Annie.
Will is a slight, underdeveloped omega who is quite young (eighteen), and his daughter is about a year old. Over time we learn all the circumstances of how she came to be, the abuse he suffered, and it is harsh and cruel. Finn defends him more than once, to the point to allow the conflict to its natural end. Even though Finn struggles with his past of losing his old mate and child, he does not let that stop himself from being the mate Will needs. Unlike in the second book where Liam and Joey struggled to settle their bonding, Finn steps right up. Not just sexually, but in other needs that Will needed as well.
A lot of people felt that Lorcan's personality did a 180 in this book, and I honestly put the book off because of this. However, I wanted to see it for myself and make a judgement. Having read it now, I disagree. I am not saying the fact that Lorcan was willing to was a good thing by any means, but I believe you have to read it from the perspective of the pack world we've been exposed to so far. The laws are based on honor and tradition (there is not some governing body here), and Lorcan's pack is small and already made dubious in the eyes of other packs because of his progressiveness and where their numbers came from. The fact he even still has the land he does is up for debate should the other pack ever feel the want to attack them. That is why it did not surprise me that even against his better judgement (and personal morals), he would reluctantly acquiesce. I don't think it was sadistic at all, it was him feeling he was stuck between taking care of the one or the many. You have to remember that in Cayto's shifter world, collectivism is the utmost important. The needs of the individual shifter are often disregarded.
Thankfully, what could've happened did not come to fruition because Finn also pulled on an old shifter tradition. It was handled with no sneaking around or breaking of shifter understanding, and I think that is for the best. I also like that we got to see the world changing in front of us, like with Annie's condition later on in the book. The worldbuilding just feels alive and breathing to me, despite that it is rather simple and biologically driven at times. Another great entry in this series!
Alpha Lorcan sends Beta Finn to visit other packs in the hopes of finding more Betas or other wolves who would like to join their pack. When he visits Magnus's pack Magnus tells him he can take Omega Will and Will's infant daughter, Annie, as well as Beta Caleb. It's not until later that Finn and Lorcan find out the real reason Magnus wanted them gone and they're furious with Magnus's past actions when they find out.
When I saw a friend read this I remembered this series was pretty good so I went back to look at my own review for it and found I never wrote one. So I decided to read it again as I didn't remember any of it and it had been a year since I originally read it.
I did enjoy it again, but I downed my rating a star only because my tastes have changed so much in the past year.
I liked both Finn and Will. They're good together and have good chemistry. Annie is a little sweetie.
The book is in both Finn and Will's POV. The angst level is low to medium.
The Rogue Pack series is a favorite of mine. This book gave us some brand new characters to fall in love with and I'm definitely in love with Will and Caleb and little Annie. I really hope this series keeps going so Caleb can have his own book. They just need to find some more omegas.
What I love most about this series is how this little rag-tag group has come together as a close-knit family. They watch out for each other and take care of each other. Everyone has his or her role and they work together to keep the pack well-protected and fed. Lorcan is a generous alpha. He cares deeply for his pack. His job is not an easy one but he always tries to do what's best for the pack as a whole.
I really enjoyed watching Finn and Will grow closer. My heart hurt for Will. The abuse he suffered in his old pack overshadowed his transition. But he is so strong. I was so happy to see him fall for Finn.
Will, sweet sweet Will, he just pulled the heart strings. This poor guy totally needed his HEA and I'm so happy he got it with Finn! Little Annie was adorable! Can't wait to read the next story, I'm thinking Caleb needs a honey, he's such a big ole teddy bear (or wolf)!
This was book 3 in"The Rogue Pack"series. Finn is a beta is goes to a pack in Canada to get a gamma when the Alpha tells him that he will give him one Caleb if he takes an Omega Will that he calls a trouble-maker. Will has a pup Annie he came into his heat early he was used and abused by his old pack and he thinks that things won't be any different in his new pack. Finn knows that Will has been abused and it makes in angry that the Alpha would part with an Omega and a pup. This was a really good book and I felt bad for Will and Annie will didn't have any clothes he had to use his to make clothes for Annie. When they get to the pack Lorcan tells Finn that Will has to take a mate because he will be going into heat being around him so Finn agrees to be his mate if Will wants him. Will can't believe that he is given a choice of a mate in his old pack he didn't have much choice of anything he was used and abused by his old Alpha and will has a secret. On their mating night Finn shows him pleasure that he has never known and he can't believe that not only Finn but everyone in the pack has been nice to him and his pup. When Finn finds that the old Alpha didn't turn Annie when she was born he wants to kill him and so does Caleb who turns out was the only gamma that didn't use Will when the old alpha told them that he was in heat and wanted to be used. When members of his old pack show up wanting to take Annie away the old truth come out about who her sire is turns out the old has been sexually abusing him since he was 13. Finn has to fight to the death to keep his family together. This was a really good read it was well written like the rest of the books in this series. I really like this series and I am looking forward to reading the next book.
This is the third book in the series, and I have to say by far my favorite . I really enjoyed both characters. I felt that there relationship progress slowly which I like I don’t know. I really liked it. I also liked how Finn accepted that he needed to step up and be a great mate rather than stay suffering in his past like Liam.. I also got to point out I think the author has a weird thing with long hair cause all these characters have longhair. By far, a really great book series now on the fourth book.
This was a strong 4 star read for me until Ms. Cayto did a character flip on Alpha Lorcan which, in my mind, affected the integrity of the Rogue Pack and future installments.
This is actually the first book I read in the series, I was looking for "forced mating" books and stumbled upon a list on which this book was.
As far as "forced matings" go, in my opinion, Accidental Omega (book 2) and Omega Lost (book 7) fit this trope a bit more than this one but I think it still more or less has elements of the trope just perhaps less so than other books in the series.
That being said, I really enjoyed this read! It was my introduction to the series and it hooked me enough that just after I finished it I backtracked and went back to book one to start the series and read it in order from there.
I enjoyed both Finn and Will, but I have to say I prefer Will, the omega. I tend to always feel more attached to the omegas in these books, there's something about their gentle and caring ways and their need for validation and affection from dominant wolves that just warms my heart.
Anyway, a great read with just the right amount of sexiness and emotion. I highly recommend this series if you're on the hunt for quick mpreg romance novels!
3.25 stars Another solid story in this series. The Rogue Pack is growing steadily, with plenty of heat-induced smexy times. Even with the eventual revelation about Will's past, it seemed a little ho-hum. Maybe I'm mostly past brain candy like this? Nah, that can't be it. Not a bad story, just not as much to it as I'd like there to be. Am I going to quit reading this series? Probably not, since it's still entertaining!
I just love finding series with a whole lot of books out already. I have enjoyed binging through these. They are just what I needed to read. A fun enjoyable m/m shifter series. On to the next one.
Suppose it's just not my kind of world, overly hierarchical with predefined roles and then throw mpreg into that mix and I can't really rate the book. So I go with someone kind of default 3 stars
I swear this series gets better and better with every book. I loved this story of Finn and Will with little Annie. Ugh, it seriously tugged at my heartstrings in the best way. My favorite of the series so far.
There was one flaw in the story that did rip my heart out. And that was when Lorcan's character changed. In the first book, he made you believe that he would fight for his pack to the death. But in this book his oath falters (he claims that it was an old rule by wolves but his whole pack lives by breaking a lot of those rules so idk) (by writers mistake? or is that an actual flaw of Lorcan?) It didn't make a lot of sense to me but I just tried to ignore/overlook it.
I will continue to read the series and hopefully, there will be some insight in the next book on his actions.
Pleasantly surprised with another plot line. Many series seem to just recycle the plot with small twists and differences, but so far three stories and a new plot each time. Still has back ground issue, but the individual story? new ideas.
This is the third book in the rogue pack series, and so far it is my favorite. You really get a feel of how different the rogue pack is from other packs. Finn who is from the rogue pack was sent on a mission to bring back another fighter, he had been so many places until he landed up in Canada and was able to get Caleb. But their alpha made it a pack deal where he had to take an omega, Will, and his infant daughter Annie. Fin could not understand how the alpha would give up a breeding omega, and this one looked extremely young do you have a child. As the story progresses Finn becomes very attached to Will and Annie and everything seems to be working out especially when will goes into his next heat. But things are not always as they seem, and soon representatives from the old pack show up wanting what Will and Finn are not willing to give. Now it becomes a fight to the death. Can Finn survive this for his new family? Wonderful story with a great ending. And this one has some funny parts in it that are so cute.
5 stars. I’m sick as fuck with a cold right now and needed something quick. I’m so glad that I picked this up because I absolutely adored it. The angst really hits, my heart broke for Will (my sweet baby) and Finn but the romance between them was beautiful. And of course adorable little Annie. She’s Will’s daughter and she is precious. Finn takes to her so quickly and was so protective of her and Will which I loved. I also really like that Finn is a Beta and not an Alpha. I hardly ever read Beta/Omega pairings and this one was fantastic. This was romantic, had an intriguing plot, likable main and side characters, and was sexy as hell. I have no complaints and I already want to read it again. I will for sure be going back to read the first two books and then continuing with the rest of the series.
I’ve decided Samantha is my favorite author EVER. This stuff is plucked right outta my wildest fantasies. Jesus.
Abused shy omega? Check Big, protective and possessive alpha male? Check Mpreg? Cheeeeck A toddler, because I like toddlers? Check Size difference? CHECK
HOT HOT HOT 🥵
No complaints. Err, maybe one teeny tiny complaint, why did it take Finn until the Epilogue to say I love you when he was in love with my baby Will since day one? But I forgive him because he made an honest man out of Will.
Finn and Will are absolutely my favorite couple so far. Finn started the book off being this grumpy dude who has had some awful things happen in his past but is just trying to find purpose for his life again. Will is a timid guy who had too much happen to him way too young. Both of them are great on their own but together they are even better. Their relationship is so adorable. And Annie seems like she will be a ball of furry energy that will make other appearances throughout the rest of the book and im looking forward to it!
If you are in the mood for fluff this is candy-cotton sweet and fluffy. The characters are intense and primal shifters and the sex scenes are steamy.
This series is an easy comfort read, there is no angst just insta-lust that leaves you pleasantly aroused.
In each book the writer throws the MCs straight into in and then instead of character building, plot development and bonding, we get super hot sex that climaxes in a HEA. What's not to like.
This book was hard for me, not for the story but rather for the topic it revolved. I really don't know how to say or feel about it, more that it didn't feel glorified, or minimized or looked past it. It also didn't seem like sex was the "cure" for Will's past trauma and I really appreciate that. I don't know if I was the one who missed it, but I would have appreciated a trigger warning tho(IF THERE WASN'T ONE ALREADY), since is such a hard topic.
