What do you do when your best friend calls and says she's getting married in a matter of days on a different continent? You hop on a plane and go to be with her, of course.Lu Osborne was doing precisely that. She boarded a flight that was headed for Ireland on only a few days notice despite the fact that she had a lot of irons in the fire.Other than witnessing a fairytale wedding and maybe doing a little sightseeing, Lu didn't expect anything to come from the trip. She certainly didn't expect to fall in love with her best friend's brother, Joe.

This was even better then the first one it still had amazing story with a breathtaking characters that whined there way into your heart that you never want to let go of.
I read this book in one day and it was beautiful. So sweet and genuine, I couldn't put it down! I did not even realize the book had a Christian theme when I bought it, but it only made it more enjoyable and lovely.
The story doesn't have to be graphic to be enjoyable. As always I couldn't put it down. After the first in the series I look forward to taking a flight from JFK to Dublin
This one was not as insta-love as her other stories. It was insta-connection, but the relationship went at a more normal pace. Lu is best friends with Sarah. Lu has always crushed on Joe, Sarah’s brother. But Joe doesn’t really notice Lu until Sarah’s wedding.
But after that connection is made, Joe takes every opportunity to spend time with her.
I just finished the three volume series "Shower and Shelter Artist Collective." While they can be read in any order, I recommend reading the books in order. The characters in the series appear in all three books and I like knowing a character's complete background and watching the author develop each individual character. Ms. St. James writes beautiful and believable romance with inspirational and Christian themes without being preachy. IMHO, Ms. St. James has not written a book I have not enjoyed!
I liked this story much more than the last one, but you really should read them in order! Joe and Lu are oh-so-cute and I love their banter! I was sad that it skipped from love to marriage. I kept looking to see if I had somehow skipped a chapter. Nope. Just talking about love, no engagement, and then they're married. I did love that it was clean! Now I'm hoping for a sweet romance that doesn't include a rich guy...
This is the second book in the series. I actually read them out of order, but it didn't take away anything, so it could be read as a stand alone book. But probably best if read in order. Loved the characters and the sweet romance. I am enjoying the series and look forward to the next one.
I started reading this series with book four, which I learned of from an E-mail. I them started reading the series at book one. They have all been good, bit I think this one is perhaps my favorite. Joe is very forthright. Once he notices Lu he is confident of his feelings and goes full bore to win her. A great read.
Absolutely love Brook St. James books! Her series are affordable (99c each book) so I'm able to follow the entire series on a teacher's budget. This book is super sweet and puts you in the characters minds. You can't help but root for them to get together.
This book was so good I read it in its entirety in one setting. Heartwarming, romance and loads of laughter. Believable characters you will fall in love with.
After her best friend plans an impromptu wedding in Ireland on short notice, Lu Osborne crosses the ocean to support her friend. Lu's always had a crush on Sarah's brother, Joe, but after a dance together at a local Irish pub, Joe also seems to be interested in Lu. Back home in New York, Lu and Joe begin seeing each other. When Lu is faced with the possibility of having to couch surf with friends since Sarah will move out of their apartment after the honeymoon, Joe's protective side comes out as he showers Lu with affection insisting that she remain in the apartment at his expense so she can focus on her art.
This installment of the Shower & Shelter series was a bit bland for me. Lu and Joe's romance was rather boring, and at times Joe seemed more possessive of Lu than protective.
This review contains my own thoughts and opinions. I have not been compensated by the author or publisher in any way.
Sweet story full of happy, warm fuzziness, but I couldn't help wondering about Joe's sudden interest in Lu - what did he think about his sister's friend before the thorn in the flesh episode? Was it just because she was finally showing some interest in having his attention that he decided to pursue her? That would be unusual for such a good looking guy as he's supposed to be.
So, it was enjoyable, but I was a little distracted by trying to understand the hero's motivation(s) - and also how Lu ended up kissing Grant, for that matter, since we're told why she did it & regretted it, but not what led up to it in the first place
I love the way the ending for this one so neatly segues into the setup for the next story in the series
Decent story. It’s predictable and there’s really no plot. But if you like sticky sweet, chaste romance you’ll probably like this.
You know when she’s introduced to a new character she’s going to sit down and we’ll be front row to blatant preachy life lessons that just don’t really fit. That’s my main complaint about this book and Christian books in general. It’s like here’s the story then we’ll jam in something preachy. At least this one doesn’t go deep into trying to convert the reader.
I usually really like Brook’s books but she did too much telling instead of showing in this one. The relationship wasn’t very developed and there didn’t seem to be much connection other than Lu thinking he was hot. Sorry but this one was a miss for me.
However I was happy to see the dating phase happen for longer than a few weeks before being engaged which can be typical in her books.
I had a free copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. While in Dublin for her best friend’s wedding Lu Osborne becomes better acquainted with her friend’s brother, Joe. The relationship continues and develops when they return to New York. She planned on moving into the Artist Collective in a few months and works in the art gallery. An uplifting book about love and commitment, and planning ahead.
Very cute. The books I have read from this author are happy feel good stories that are very predictable with very little growth or Life obstacles, but they are fun to read. They are clean and make me smile.
Not quite finished with it yet, but I still can leave a review. 1. Love the narrator's accent! Not sure where she is from, but it adds to the story. Slow build in the angst department, great story line. This is the first book by this author for me, but I can see myself reading more.
This is the second book I've read from this author. This first one was ok and this one is ok I guess. They are good books but I'm thinking these are geared toward teenagers. Just not enough fun, excitement, twists and turns I'm use to I guess.
Brooke has such hilarious writing in this series and I love it. The only reason this doesn’t get 5 stars is because the ending was so abrupt and left me feeling like there were some chapters missing. The epilogue just showed up out of nowhere.
