Charlie White is probably the most bubbly, charismatic, and friendly person one could ever meet. After getting a second chance at life via a new heart, Charlie vowed to make the most out of life – no matter what cards she has been given. Knight Carver is probably the most angry, guarded, and anti-social person one could ever meet. After losing his mother because of diabetes complications, Knight vowed to never lose another person he loved – he detached himself from the rest of his family completely. When Knight returns to Memphis during the NBA off season, his 16-year-old pregnant sister needs all the help she can get. Charlie’s bedside service for expecting mothers is just the help Knight and Harlem both need. Although he fights it, Charlie’s personality and beautiful smile immediately melt Knight’s stone heart. He refuses to let her or anyone else know that, though. It doesn’t matter how attracted to her he is, or how drawn to her he finds himself, Knight has no plans of loving someone only to have them ripped from his hands like his mother was. Because of their meeting, one of their hearts will be changed forever. Charlie has the chance to use her love to give Knight something he hasn’t felt in years, or allow the stress of his pessimistic attitude to damage the heart she waited anxiously for. That’s what love does, you know? It fills you with empowering strength, or makes you devastatingly weak. What will be the outcome for these two? *The spinoff for supporting characters is Saving All My Love for You.

*sigh* 74% through and I can't do it. I made a promise to live in my literary truth, which is to read what I wanna read when I wanna read it. And the truth about this particular book is, I no longer want to read it.
I'm really disappointed because it started off so promising. It was funny, I enjoyed the characters, I was into the plot and then it kind of just fell apart. The thing about contemporary romance novels and me is, I need for the story to feel authentic, for the characters and their journey to and with one another to feel organic. Otherwise, I might as well read an urban fantasy or science fiction novel.
The characters in this book kind of went from not knowing what they wanted, to being thrown into the fairytale whirlwind romance and that to me just isn't realistic or interesting. Everything between them was just too perfect and the pending conflict was telegraphed from the very start of their relationship.
To be honest, I was just bored with the story because I wasn't enjoying what was happening currently and I already knew what was going to happen in the coming chapters and I just didn't see the point in finishing.
I was going to try and force myself to read the last 30% of the book so that I could at least give it a rating (I don't think it is fair to rate books if I can't finish them) but that would have gone against the promise I made myself at the start of this year...
So with that being said. DNF - My search continues.
What an awesome captivating touching story. I loved everything about it.....this story tugged at my heart it was just beautiful. I loved Knight and Charlie, I also adored and loved lil Harlem. This was my first read by B.Love and it surely will not be my last. True To The Game, Torn, and White Lines were the last stories that brought tears of emotion to my eyes and now Give Me Something I Can Feel.....beautiful gripping heartfelt love story, I loved it! 5 stars!!!
What an enjoyable read! I really liked the story. It was well written and played out in a way. I was rooting for the couple to have their happy ending.
this is my first book by B. Love, absolutely love it. I'm such a sucker for romance and this right here was super romantic, a real miracle love story. I laughed, cried and awwwww'd.
OK this story was out of the box for me different but in a good way . The love that Charlie and Knight felt was magnetic from the beginning . The only thing I didn't like was when Knight found out what Charlie was hiding from him and acting like a fool and she took him back so quick I wanted Knight to sweat a little . I can't wait to read Knight sister story .
This was soooo good!, so perfect! And just the right dose for anyone...
This was a great story. Although some parts made me annoyed and all, but overall, this was a perfect love story with enough drama" Charlie, a beautiful person in and out, was just so blessed and accepted of her situation and taking one day at a time. Strong, intelligent, she was the perfect main female character for this story. She was just a little bit too forgiving to quick' but r what she went through, I guess it can make one be like that. Knight, man, alpha, loyal, protector, and a very deep emotional man. When he loves, he loves hard and that's why he gets hurt so easily, but what a man!!! Bae for sure The only downside in this story was how easily Charlie sees and forgives things. I mean come on, you needed to show him how not to take his anger out of a situation before you calm down and see it through calmly because every actions has consequences, but he just costed by and all is well in the world. I also didn't like how Carmen came and gave him the news, which I think it was more because of jealousy than anything and for that she was foul for it. Glad she was never introduced in the story. Don't know if she will in Harlem's but am so glad she was not introduced in this one. Because of this, it dampened the beauty of the story and annoyed me because come on, Charlie started it out so strong and all, and at the end, she seemed weak and all. So what if you promised, you will not leave? Well he pushed and it's after he sees its wrong? Yeah, just like domestic violence: "sorry, I didn't mean to" or "sorry it was the first time and it won't happen again (this was the tenth time) ?" In any case still a wonderful story!!, didn't regret reading it? Now let me find out about Harlem
This book was so beautiful I love every moment of it. I’m not gonna say too much, just a few things that I loved about it first of all I said there’s so many times on other books I’ve read, but I just love when a man knows what he wants and as soon as he look at a woman, he knows it’s her. And that’s exactly how it happened with Charlie and Knight.
I love them so much only thing I didn’t like about this book was when she found out she had his mothers heart and didn’t tell him right away. It’s not that I didn’t like the part. It just made me frustrated because I knew it would lead to problems. Like she knew he was going to be angry. I feel like she should’ve told him right away to get it out of the way, so he had time to calm down. But that didn’t and because of that, I felt like the end was a little rushed with his apology. It wasn’t a bad apology. I just wanted more from him because he said to stuff that really hurt her and I just wish it was more at the end. Because I feel like she forgave too quickly and then with the proposal everything was really fast. But like I said, it wasn’t bad I just wish it was just a little more to it honestly.
Usually, I don’t like reading about teenagers who are still in high school but I really hope it’s a book for Harlem like a few years into the future because I really wanna know where she and Tage are.

Charlie was in for the fight of her life but was given a second chance by a gurdian angel. Fast forward years later, and she's afraid to use her gift to love a man...any man. When she meets Knight, the sparks are instant and unexplainable. When certain truths are unearthed, can their love survive?
This is my first book by B. Love and I must say the plot is very unique. It kept my interest for sure. I haven't seen such a topic taken on in many AA romances so kudos to this author on that. Knight and Charlie's chemistry was evident from the beginning and I liked them as a couple. However, this timeline is off for me with the instant-love: in no time these characters profess love. I'm not saying that's not plausible, but I didn't feel it in the words so it wasn't realistic for me. Maybe more detailing would have helped me feel it more; idk. And even with the conflict, it occured and then was solved lighting-fast. I get this isn't a very long read but I just needed to feel that what I was reading was actually happening and in some scenes I didn't get that. The end slowed down somewhat and I liked that at least some time had past and the epilogue was concluded in a way that left no questions about Knight and Charlie unanswered.
Whenever I read a story I'm always looking for something profound and unique. Well, I found that uniqueness in Give Me Something I Can Feel. Charlie and Knight's story was beautiful, real and honest. I felt as if I were a part of their story, I was not just reading a book, but I was living the story with them.
The beautiful friendship they had and their honest conversations made me smile several times. The charity gala and the things that took place after the gala made me exhale. I did not realize I was holding my breath until Charlie revealed her secret to Knight. And this conversation (“You can’t love her with all of your heart. You’ve got to love her with your soul. Love her with your spirit. Your heart is the seat of your emotions. Emotions… feelings… they change. They waver. They’re inconsistent. Your soul is how you connect with humans. It’s your morality. It’s who you are. At the very core of your being. Your spirit is how you connect with God. Love her with your soul by connecting with her mentally. By being the man she needs to lead her. Love her with your spirit by growing closer to God and leading her to him. Above all… keep in mind every day of your life that every day of your life is not guaranteed. Every day is a gift. A present. Make the most out of every day that you have with her. Don’t worry about losing her. Don’t worry about materialistic things or things that don’t matter. Things that hold no true weight in your life. Make memories.") between Knight and his father was icing on the cake for me. It's what made the story uncommon and special. There were other moments similar to this one between other characters in the book that will make your jaw drop to the floor and have you saying, "Did I just read that? Let me read that again."
I read a lot, mostly Christian fiction, but the godly wisdom that is expressed in this book is better than some of the Christian books I have read. I can't wait to read Harlem and Tage's story, it will be interesting.
Knight and Charlie😍😍😍😍 This was such a beautiful and honest journey to love. The chemistry was immediate. They had complicated emotional baggage. But the connection between the two, you just know the love was so meant to be. I don't talk plot but who would have thought it would unfold like it did! Ok what I can review is the pacing of the story was perfect. The dialogue between the characters was engaging. The intimacy was fire, and the realness of each character was on point. This was such a great read. My heart melted over and over. You must read this one!
The plot was OK, it kept me just interested. There were some loose ends with unnecessary characters. Feelings & issues were expressed and suddenly resolved/understood after years of harboring them? Also, something I have noticed in this genre of books, the preaching/lecturing could be better intertwined into the story. Lighten up on the direct "preaching/lecturing." If you word it right, the reader will understand. The ending was rushed & predictable. There were no constant domestic violence (or any for that matter) so this was a big plus.
Filled with wise words, this story touched my heart. Loved Knight & Charlie's relationship from the first meeting. The auction scene was cute. The supporting cast also played an important role. Each book I read by this author just gets better. From the chase- to the romance between the couples, these stories are ones that capture & hold my attention & have me anxious to read the next. Highly recommended!
Knight stepped up for his baby sister, which lead to him meeting his world. Both Knight and Charlie were closed off but their connection opened them up. Her unique situation with his mom was beautiful and serene. He almost let his words that were said in anger lose her. Charlie was just the sunshine needed to make his world brighter. They learned how to trust, love, and be vulnerable and honest with each other. Faith and fate is what brought them together.
I feel in love 😍with Knight. It was his honesty, patience and understanding that did it for me. He wasn't out here playing with people's feelings. He was being upfront because he felt he didn't have much to give until he met Charlie. Charlie was so sweet and soft and the Fact that she kept her virtue to herself for 29years because of the stupidity of one man. My gosh. I was happy that they where able to hold on through everything unexpected that came there way. Great read
I was sad at the beginning. I thought Charlie....but Honey she came back!! I understood Angela's purpose. Grief is hard. It takes time and process. Anything you run away from will eventually get you!! Beautiful love story. I loved the patience and understanding. Harlem ....Yes..But God Oh God Knight....He delivered and spoke his truth. I enjoyed this wholeheartedly. Thank you B. Love✨️✨️
I loveeddddd this book!!! I loved the dynamics, the love, the pain, the growth. Ugh! I just loved it all!! Knight was everything!! Not only a good man but a great brother and a even better boyfriend. I just adored Charlie!! This book left me full!! Great Job, B!!!
This was the perfect title for this book. I loved everything about it and I really loved Charlie! Like her entire spirit and everything. Of course I love Knight, who wouldn't? I didn't think I would love a couple more than Rule and Cam but I do. I really can't wait until you release Harlem and Tage story! This was a 10 start read!
What a beautiful and emotional story. The sign of a good writer is one that can make you feel the emotions of the characters and story in their writing. You can definitely feel that and more with Knight and Charlie. A chance meeting between the two of them created a life long bond. Great story and good read. Can't wait to catch up with them.
I loved Charlie and Knight's story. This was a heartwarming and touching story and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This was my first time reading something from B. Love and I was not disappointed. I'm looking forward to reading more of her stories. Can't wait for Harlem's story.
I have to admit I was not sure I was going to enjoy this book because Knight and Charlie started falling for each other so quickly, but after awhile I did not even really think about. This is my first time reading a book by B. Love and it will not be my last time.
I love romance books but I absolutely love when this author can wrap me up in the story from the first page and not let me go until the very end. Charlie and Knight are a true testament that true love can prevail through anything. They were an absolute beautiful couple. I loved everything about this story from the characters to the plot & to the small twist in the story. I look forward to reading more!
This is the second book I've read from B. Love and i like her style.
I enjoyed both books immensely. I already purchased 3 others, the only reason I gave 4 stars is because I can do without the obscenities. As a professional writer I don't believe she needed to use the F word at all. It's as though you Just did not know how to express yourself.
This story was so beautifully written. Charlie showed unconditional love to both Harlem and Knight since day one. She loved them through fear, hurt anger and pain. I loved the way Knight loved Charlie through all her insecurities. This book was so beautiful...I loved it!!
This book really did fill my heart with so much joy! Knight and Charlie were perfect for each other and I can't wait to hear more about their journey together. I liked Harlem and I just know she's has so much more to offer. I'm also curious about Carmen and would like dig deeper into her story. This was definitely a page turner and must read!
This was a great love sorry with great characters. The perfect blend of hard and sweet. Knight is a closed off man in need of love, without knowing it. Charlie is a strong, scarred woman full of love and fear. They each have just what the other needs. This is a beautiful love story to watch unfold.
This was one of the best love stories I have ever read. I just loved Knight and Charlie love story and how they fell so hard for each other . For her to have his mothers heart and to know his mama chose her to have her heart its just brings tears to your eyes. I loved it great job.
