In 2017 the literary world will commemorate the 200th anniversary of the death of Jane Austen in a year packed with exhibitions, talks, walks and performances – as well as her appearance on the British £10 note.

Although there were only six completed novels, Jane Austen left an enormous legacy when she died on July 18, 1817, at the age of only 41. The Joy of Jane brings together some of today’s leading writers and authorities on Jane Austen to offer their thoughts on her endearing appeal.

Tim Bullamore, the publisher of Jane Austen’s Regency World, is an entrepreneur in journalism. He is a busy journalist, spending several days a week in London as the copy editor for the London Times. He writes obituaries for the Daily Telegraph about classical musicians. And, in addition to various teaching assignments, he is the editor and publisher of Jane Austen’s Regency World Magazine, which comes out six times a year. And just to provide more variety, his wife holds a university teaching position in Scotland.

An interesting mix of pieces. Any Janeite will find something to enjoy.

Only downsides: one article was a bit rambling and therefore hard to follow, another focused on images but not all the images were provided.
