Everyone, I believe, wants to find that special someone to settle down with and spend the rest of their lives together. Until we reach that point in our lives, we enjoy ourselves with whomever happens to be with us at that time. For Anthony "Ant" Poole and Sharron Francis, that time has finally come. Anthony delivers a line to Sharron as she is walking down the street. A line Anthony has been waiting to use on the right person. A line that Sharron can't seem to forget. But Sharron is very different from any other woman Anthony has ever been with. She challenges him in way he would never imagine. Anthony is also a bit different from men Sharron has known. While he may be a player, he has accepted her challenge head on.
It has been a long time since I have read a book by Omar Tyree. At least ten years or more. But I enjoyed this book. Since it was written in the 90's it took me back to my single days and the person I was at that time in my life. It made me feel a bit nostalgic. I can't wait to read more Omar Tyree and even re-read the books I read before Flyy Girl and A Do Right Man.

Ok, so this book was really interesting. I just couldn't put it down...I really wasn't expecting Ant to change, but he did. I was some what happy with how the book ended, but I think it could've been better...How it ended was for the better. For him and for her...What a book, I'm gunna have to read more of Omar's stuff. I heard it was good!

Having never read this novel, I think I missed its allure.
In 2014 the text seems so dated and the narrative style is a bit dull. It might be of interest to those who like 90s urban lit/fiction.

Definitely a long struggle read I couldn’t get into it damn I really wanted to like OMAR TYREE’s book because FLYY GIRL was the bomb !!!! But his work after it just wasn’t it :(

Mind candy, but of a superiour kind. Omar Tyree knows what love is all about and is not afraid of calling a spade a spade. I'll admit to reading this book again and again when I need to switch off my brain a bit without shutting it down completely.

The story of a flight attendant who does not believe in love but then stumbles upon a good man. They begin a relationship, and soon the flight attendant begins to break down the many barriers she has put up to protect herself from getting hurt as what happened with previous relationships.

I enjoyed reading sweet st. Louis. I love the author brought these two love birds together. The guy of course was being a typical guy, but the lady became interested in she was a mystery to him, she challenged his mind and got him to not always connect with a woman through passion but to connect with a sweet women differently. He changed into a better man because he chose to by dealing with this lovely women he chose to be in a relationship with. I would recommend it to friends and personally I would love to read it again.

I gave this book 3 stars simply because I kept putting it down . I felt like this book was dragging along sometimes. The one thing I did love was the characters . I related to something out of each of these characters. Overall I gave the story a 3 I didn't expect it to end bland but It was an ok read .

This is not my normal book and it was way outside my moral compass, but I read it because of the setting. I was born and raised in St. Louis and it was super fun to know exactly where each street and landmark was. I am blessed to have lived there.

A piece of me for a piece of you, the line that started it all. Sweet St. Louis was not your regular love story. Instead of it being one of those books where the characters fall in love very easily, it took us into the whole scheme of things. Meeting someone, getting to know them, dating, putting a title on things, and then love. The story is centered around Sharon, and Ant, with other key players like Celena, and Ant.
As soon as Ant and Sharon meet again, after the infamous line he used on her, the click. Neither being the norm for one another, but being exactly what they need for each other. Sharon is very inquisitive, and can't help but very guarded because of things from her past. Ant is a notorious player, who is use to getting everything, he wants, so he thought. Through some trial and tribulations, they are bound to get it right. Jump into to this book, and found out how both sides think about things, on this journey to love.
I enjoyed this book. It started off somewhat slow, but once it got into the groove of things, it kept me entertained. It definitely made me think about love and relationships in general. I appreciated how it wasn't your everyday love story where they fall in love super quick. This book kept it real, every love story isn't exactly a fairytale. It's how you go about things that make it great for you. Great job!
