Writing is a beautiful thing.

I consider myself blessed I'm able to do this for a living. I live for fantasy books as a reader and author. I adore books like An Ember in the Ashes, The Night Angel Trilogy, Harry Potter, The Great Library series...I could go on.

Before I write I have four young humans I keep alive and love them to the stars and back again. I live in Utah with my sexy husband, the kiddos, two paranoid dogs, and a sinister cat. Between finishing a second degree, running a business, and eating too much chocolate, I love writing early in the morning when no one is awake. If you can't tell, I basically function on caffeine.

Rise of the Black Dawn by L J Andrews is the third and final book in the series but it could be read alone and not be lost. The author is good about getting the reader caught up on the story. This book takes off where the second ends and remains a good strong pace, lots of action, good plot, developed characters, twists, and good dialogue. This book is for teens/young adults maybe and has lots of great fantasy action. Good teen dialogue and a slight romance thrown in. Strong male and female characters to keep everyone interested. Received this book to read and not obligated for a review but I review most everything I read and I am quite honest about it. I believe book two was the best of the three books but this was good too. I think teens will enjoy the fun action, fantasy, imagination that is in here.

A satisfying ending to a wonderful trilogy!

A satisfying ending to a wonderful trilogy. But the ending was not without its pain, heartache, sacrifices, losses, betrayal. Nevertheless, the joy of those moments when friends and family were spared far outweighed the sorrow. The battle scenes described were awesome and very well choreographed! Very entertaining. The characters were well fleshed out, some evil some full of goodness. Those who once were thought to be good friends who turned out to be evil were very disappointing. On the other hand, some who were evil, had seen the error of their ways and turned their lives around. Lots of surprises here. Ms Andrews imagination has shined through in this trilogy. Well recommended.

This is the third and final book in the Lost Relics series and while it could be read alone, the reader will get a lot more out of it by reading the first two. This book takes off where the second ends and maintains a strong pace. There is a lot of action, the plotting is great, the characters are well-developed, and there are some plot twists. Both the lead and secondary male and female characters are strong, the great dialogue, and a hint of romance will keep everyone who loves a goo fantasy novel interested (not just young adults!)
I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my voluntary review.

An incredible trilogy ends. With every page I read from author L.J. Andrews and her epic world I was drawn in deeper. Well written, intricately developed characters you can invest heavily in and the story line with its intricate twists and surprises. The only disappointment (spoiler) was the end battle. After 3 books and a prequel it was wrapped up too quickly, an epic like this could easily have been a fourth book. Don't get me wrong...the entire series rocks!
