3.5 stars !

Hooked is book one in the Viking Bastards MC series by author Christina Phillips. This story was quite enjoyable although I have to say that it was not what I expected. I wouldn’t classified it as an MC book as it was more centered around the H and h than club business. There was very little action involving the motorcycle club, no club drama and no angst. That being said, this was full of romance and hot and steamy action between the main characters, which made it a pleasant and interesting read.

After having ditched her fiancé of two years, Grace is on her way to crash at her sister’s place, when her car breaks down. Stuck in the middle of a storm and no charge on her cell, she ends-up in a local bar full of guys with huge muscles and long hair staring at her. Grace is a rich, prim and proper girl who has everything she thoughts she needed in her life until she meets the sexy, self-assured and arrogant biker, Zach.

Zach is a Viking Bastard, raised in the club and loyal to it. His MC is his life and his brothers always come first. Zach doesn't believe in love or commitment or any kind. For him it’s all about sex and preferably dirty and disposable sex. That is, until Zach sees classy Grace walks into his bar.

Unexpectedly attracted to each other despite their obvious social differences, Zach and Grace hook up almost immediately. Nameless sex is something Grace has never done before, but something that Zach is well used to. One night of wild, frenzied passion, turns into a second night, then into a week that will make them question everything they’ve never known. Can two very different individuals from different worlds that have nothing in common make it and find hapiness together? Or will it be too much to withstand and pull them apart ?

Overall, I enjoyed this book. It was hot, flirtatious, the sexual chemistry between Zach and Grace was off the charts and they were both likable characters. The heroine comes from money and has a privileged life but she isn’t a spoilt brat. Zach is a smoking hot alpha male biker, cocky and dirty minded. I liked him for the most part, but it took a while for Zach to evolve from a man fighting his desire for keeping what they shared as a sex fling with no real feelings involved, to a man that finally let go of his rules and reputation to take a chance on love.

This was actually a 4 star read for me but I found the ending a little rushed and I would have loved to get an epilogue. But I'll definitely read more from this author.

3.5 to 4*

I have to admit I enjoyed this book more than I expected, when I started reading I fully expected this to be a standard 3* read, not that there's anything wrong with that most of the books I read fall into that category.
While in many ways this was your typical rough and ready biker meets classy rich girl for a quick hook-up it was somehow more and that's mainly down to the characters.
Grace comes from an incredibly wealthy family having just broken up with her fiancé of two years she's driving to her sisters when her car breaks down, with no charge on her phone the only option open to her is a seedy looking bar.
Zach spots Grace the minute she enters and decides if she's looking to get down and dirty it's going to be with him. Grace only wants to use the phone but can't deny the instant scorching attraction she feels towards Zach.
Zach doesn't believe for one minute that her car has actually broken down he thinks her friends are waiting outside and she's after one thing and one thing only and that may as well be provided by him.
One quick one off hook-up turns into overnight and then the next day and.....well you'll have to read for the rest but I really enjoyed this and I'll certainly be reading the next one.
Zach is a member of the Viking Bastards MC and while the club is a huge part of his life it's not a huge part of this book, this is more of a romance than an MC.
Both Zach and Grace are interesting characters and when they originally meet they are both set on their own life paths but together they grow and the development of these characters was more than I expected from this book.

4 STARS!

☾I had no idea muffins and cupcakes could be so dirty. I honestly never thought I could like biker books so much, they just never interested me. Zach and Grace's story is incredibly unique, I have never read another story like this before.

☾Grace is a rich girl, comes from Malibu with her designer clothes and Mercedes. Zach is the complete opposite. He's a biker, foul mouthed, and lives alone with his sister Kat.

☾The two immediately hit it off in the back of a bar, then against her car, and too many other places to name. They both struggle to identify their relationship - too scared to name it what it really is...a relationship. Things come to a pretty bad spot when they have a heated argument over, believe it or not, Thanksgiving. Yeah, weird I know!

Loved it! 5 star read!!!

This is a safe biker romance with choice smut thrown in to keep things lively. I hope the author keeps the rest of the series like this one. Please, please, PLEASE!!! Hooked was gritty but real, sexy and sweet. I loved every minute of it!!!

When a dead cell phone and car trouble lands Grace in a seedy biker bar, she draws the attention of cocky biker boy, Zach.

After finally breaking up with her fiancé of four years, Grace throws caution out the window and takes up Zach's offer of a hot and dirty ONS. But Zach, with his hard exterior and wild lifestyle isnt at all what she expected. And the live wire connection that pulses between them isn't casual or meaningless. Its a whole lot of complicated, but the reward is sweeter than anything she ever imagined.

Zach is that possessive, protective, crazy-about-his-girl caveman that I obsess over and I'm so happy I read his story! He has some hidden depths that had me melting into a puddle a few times. He is definitely more than meets the eye.

I loved this short quickie. It's like the white buffalo of biker/MC books. Why? Because its a rare find. Why rare! Because it's 100% safe. Who doesn't want that dark, edgy, dangerous bad boy without all the gross side effects? (I'm talking about the sharing/unsanitary/down-right nasty MC going-ons typical in MC books.) This girl, that's who.

This is a first in a new series and I can't wait to check out the rest of them. Here's to hoping the author sticks to sexy bikers just like Zach!!

I really enjoyed this one! It was hot, an easy read, and held my interest so much that I couldn't put it down and finished it in a few hours.

Rich girl Grace has car trouble in a bad part of L.A. and wanders in to a biker bar, looking for help. There she meets bad ass biker Zach, who's just looking at the beautiful, sexy sweet redhead and all he can think of is getting in her pants. Grace just needs a phone...and Zach will give one to her if she goes in the back room with him. Why the hell not, thinks Grace. She never does anything wild and crazy, and she recently dumped her less than supportive fiancée...so yeah, why not?

These two have crazy chemistry, but is that all? Could they be more opposite? Grace is an uptown girl working for her family's upscale chain of hotels. But that's not the career she wants. Zach is an across the tracks guy involved in a MC club, who only does one-night stands. Relationships? who needs them. But there's something about sweet Grace that makes it impossible for Zach to give her up. So their one night turns into one month...and it's time to see if Zach can compromise his rules a bit. Is Grace worth the effort it would take to keep her?

I loved this quick read! It was steamy hot, and I fell in love with both Grace and Zach. I even had a tear in my eye towards the end over Zach's stubbornness. Will their relationship last? I want to believe that it will. I liked how Zach supported Grace's dream. I hope he can deal with the money issues... I wished there had been an epilogue....maybe the author will revisit these two in her next book (Payback)?

Not a whole lot of MC stuff in this book--it mostly focused on the hot times and building relationship between Zach and Grace--but that was okay with me. Good start to a new series--I like this author's writing style! 4 stars

2 ⭐⭐ - Meh!

2020==>

I confess that I'm in a phase that nothing I have to read pleases me and I'm a little bored, so I went to look at what I already had on my Kindle ... my mistake.
I found it in my Kindle library and started reading ... I didn't remember that I had already read it and I only discovered it today when I saw it on my goodreads shelf. Still 2 stars, LOL! It is a lesson for me not to read any more without first consulting my bookshelves.

2017===>

Nada demais.

After I read so many reviews saying wonders about the book I confess that I was frustrated. I think the story is fairly common and without anything new or interesting. The two have a one-night stand and fall in love instantly. She is rich and he a biker in a club. Not a big deal.

I'll admit it: this cover "hooked" me. (tee hee!) Between the cover and the motorcycle club being the "Viking Bastards", umm yeah, I was on board. This is my first book by Christina Phillips, but it will not be my last.

The Story-
Grace's car happens to break down in the "wrong side of town" on the day after she breaks off her engagement to a stuffy prick. When she wanders into Odin's, a biker bar named after the Viking god, she and Zach have immediate sparks that they decide to act on... on the pool table in the back room. Neither one is looking for something serious, but they can't get enough of one another in more ways than one.

My Thoughts-
It's been awhile since I read something in first person, so that took a little getting used to. The only thing about it that bothered me was the multiple swaps in a chapter, but I really did love hearing the characters' inner voices. With people who are withholding so much information from the other party, that inner monologue clears things up for the reader. Both Zach and Grace are incredibly likable, and they heat up the pages of this book. I found it to be an extremely quick read that kept me smiling and turning pages.

The Bottom Line-
I will be back for more Viking Bastards. I hope they are all as hot as Zach, and I can't wait to meet them. This book was a piece of candy that I ate a little to fast, but has me reaching for another... 4 stars

Leigh's review:

While not a new author by any means, Christina Phillips was new to me, and I have to say that I enjoyed myself immensely with this start to her newest MC club series. It was dirty and fun and I enjoyed the characters and the way they worked out their romance coming from opposite sides of the tracks.

Grace was the princess in the ivory tower who did what everyone expected of her. She was the good daughter, the sensible sister and the goody two shoes she was expected to be. Zach on the other hand was the guy from the bad side of town. He was rough and dirty (in the best possible way) and didn’t put much stock in women or relationships. But when they got together, I really liked the way that they brought out the best in each other. Zach encouraged Grace to go for her dreams and stand up for what she wanted. Around Zach, she could be herself. She was still the princess, still the gracious person she always was. Just a bolder and more secure version.

And Grace gentled Zach. Without even trying, she brought out a caring man who valued his family. Who wanted the right woman without even knowing it. Who fell in love without realizing it and found himself deep in a relationship he never knew he was in until it was too late for his heart.

Despite the dirty sex and the gritty settings, this story at its core was actually pretty sweet.

Now, the drawbacks. A goodie two shoes is not going to have sex with a biker after walking into a bar on a rainy night when all she was after was a phone to call a tow truck. And even if she was, it was not going to happen quite that fast.

I’m talking super duper fast.

And for an MC story, there was a real lack of the MC feel. This was more a love story where the main character drove a motorcycle and had some friends that drove them too. It hit the right buzzwords that an MC romance would use, but it didn’t have the feel I’m used to when reading about a club. It was MC-lite.

Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this story. I found the characters engaging, and if I’m invested and rooting for them to get together at the end of the story, then the author did something really right.

fanfuckingtastically DEeeeelicious #TRUST

The story of Zack and Grace is very much a sexual story. It's an insta-lust turned to love by the end. It is ridiculously well written for such a story. Ya'll know how difficult it is to pull off insta anything in a romance novel. Christina Phillips does it flawlessly. And the woman can write some delicious sexy #TRUTH

Zack & Grace meet by chance. Now while I have no issue with anyone picking up a complete stranger in a bar and having sex with them, I had to suspend a lot of common sense thinking to buy into it. But then it happened and the story began to unfold and I realized I didn't need to suspend anything because it did make sense. THAT'S the story telling power Christina brings to the table. I have come across very few authors in my life time that can do this and I am highly impressed.

The motorcycle club portion of the book is non existent really. And it may or may not come in the future. I don't know. Christina does allude in the very end that it will so we shall see. But this is not an MC romance at all. It's a very erotic contemporary romance with a man who happens to be part of an MC. AND IT WAS DELICIOUS :)

Hooked is the first book in a new series by Christine Phillips. I was so excited that I got a chance to try this story and this author out, so thank you Entangled Publishing and Tasty Book Tours for the opportunity. I have wanted to try this author out, and she does a good variety both contemporary and historical. But I have a weakness for MC, so I was intrigued by the set up of this one. It sets off with our heroine, she has just broken off her engagement and her car has broken down and not in the best part of town. But there is a bar right across the strong, so she walks in like she own the place, wet as all get out but still classy as she can be in a bar that is full of rough riders and MC members. But there is one that catches her eye. A man who is rough around the edges and yeah they get it on pretty quickly. They begin to have a fling. Graec, is looking for something different from her boring life. And Zach is the perfect distraction. But what starts out as just a casual fling for both of them starts to turn into something much deeper. A relationship Grace is ready for, but Zach isn't. He doesn't do relationship, he has some emotional baggage and doesn't know how to do serious romantic entanglements. But he can't seem to resist Grace, or want to be with her all the time. There is some drama that happens but I loved seeing these two come together on a emotional level. The story is pretty erotic at times and they definitely have some powerful chemistry. But they are also good for each other in the ways that matter. I love that Zach sees the real grace, beneath what she portrays to the world and to her family. He encourages her to give up her current job, and start on her dream: to have a cupcake business (which she is super talented at). This pair does have some set backs especially when it comes to her family. But I liked the way they resolve the situation. The only downside was the ending. It was pretty quick and abrupt and had more of a happy for now instead of a happy ever after that I was expecting. But overall a sizzling romance that packs a punch.

I know I am a jerk, and I can't give you the world, but I love you, Grace Mulholland. Never forget it.

I pull her close, and she winds her arms around me, which makes me almost forget what I was about to say. “What you see is what you get with me.”

“Hmm,” she says as though she doesn’t believe a word. “Big, bad, tough guy on the outside. That’s okay, your secret’s safe with me.”

I snort with laughter. “No secret, Grace.” I like saying her name. “That’s me, inside and out.”

“If you say so.”

“When I get you home, I’ll prove it to you.”

“Do you live far from here?”

With my arm still wrapped around her, I once again make for the door. “Nah. Just a couple of blocks. Won’t take long.”

“Can we pick my luggage up first?”

I pause, hand on doorknob. “Luggage?”

“Yes. From my car. You know, toothbrush and…stuff.” Her cheeks are pink and she gives a little shrug. “If I’m staying the night I need my things.”

“Sure.” My mind fills with the happy vision of Grace in my shower. I pull open the door, keen to get home and put that particular fantasy into action.

Tension vibrates from her as we walk back into the bar. I swagger across the room, ignoring the glances from my brothers and friends, and they soon get the message. Instead of catcalls and jeers, they go back to their business, and Grace gives a relieved sigh as the door swings shut behind us.

“At least it’s stopped raining.” She lowers her umbrella. “That’s my car, over there.”

I glance across the street and there’s no mistaking which car she’s talking about. It’s a silver Mercedes coupe, and if I don’t warn my brothers the car’s off-limits, it’ll be picked clean by morning.

She opens the trunk and takes out an overnight case, then looks at me expectantly, as though she’s waiting for me to haul out the massive case that takes up the entire space. Is she leaving home or going on vacation?

It’s none of my business, and I don’t know why the question even enters my head.

“You need all this shit for one night?”

“No, but I need a change of clothes.” She frowns as though something’s just occurred to her. “Oh, you mean we’re walking to your house? I thought you’d have your car here. It doesn’t matter, I can make do.”

She goes to shut the trunk, and I hold it open. “I don’t have a car.” Seriously, is she really that clueless? Her surprised glance tells me that yeah, she really is. I haul her case out and slam the trunk.

“There’s really no need.” She waves a finger at her case. “I don’t expect you to carry it along the street. It’s too heavy.”

“The hell it is.” Even if the damn thing were full of bricks I wouldn’t back down now. “You better have some killer underwear in here as payback.”

I enjoyed this. Not classic MC. Much sweeter.

I liked them together. They were hot!

I was annoyed by the short times apart. I wished they were more driven to be together.

The heroine was a bit oblivious at times, but not too annoying.

I loved that she dumped him when he was being an ass, and I was ok with his grovel. That is really unusual for me!

Oh gosh! I really liked this.

Grace's car breaks down during a rain storm outside a seedy looking bar. She goes in needing to use the phone and meets Zach, a member of the Viking Bastard MC. He propositions her, thinking she's looking for some fun. Grace agrees and their one night quickly turns into more for both of them.

I loved that Grace saw a different side to Zach that he didn't even realize he had. And I loved that he gave her the confidence to follow her dreams. There wasn't a lot of MC business in here and definitely was not as dark and gritty as others in this subgenre have been.

I can't wait to see Zach's fellow MC brothers fall in love.

3 Stars.....Wasn't bad!

OK, my first read by this author and yes, I would read another book:) The storyline was ultra cheesy and a lot of "insta" everything but yet I liked it. Got to be honest, I didn't love it and I didn't hate it and with that being said, I would definitely give this author another chance!

I truly liked both Zach and Grace and would be interested to see where the secondary characters stories may go!

Hooked is the first in the Viking Bastards MC romance series, and delivers a scorchingly sexy story about a hotel heiress and a man from a vastly different world. In this romance, Grace finds herself in a not so great neighborhood with a broken down car. Having just ditched her fiance of four years, when she meets sexy stranger Zach at a bar where she’s looking for a phone, the instant lust between them leads her to throw caution to the winds and engage in some mutual satisfaction. One night turns into two and then more as these two opposites find themselves unable to let go. But with their different backgrounds and family expectations, do they have a chance of making their sexy affair turn into the real thing?

I enjoyed this story. Zach is a third generation motorcycle club member, his father having died in prison and his mother from an illness shortly thereafter. He lives with his sister and brother and they are a fairly close knit family. The motorcycle club atmosphere is fairly generic and I hope to see more development of it in future stories. As such, Zach feels like he could have any kind of blue collar job. He’s a bit rough around the edges, quick tempered if anyone is insulting someone he cares about, but with a good heart underneath. Grace comes across as a nice young woman, friendly and smart, the kind who doesn’t like to make waves but has realized that she’s not happy anymore following her parents wishes, including marrying their choice of spouse. She sees beyond Zach’s rough exterior and falls for him quickly, hoping his feelings are the same. The inevitable conflict comes up with their difference in social circumstances, but they get through those bumps in the road to the happy ending. If you like opposites attract romances full of steamy sex, this one’s for you!

I'm not sure how to start this review. Yes, the hero is part of an MC, but that's where anything that has to do with an MC ends. Hooked is more of a contemporary romance than anything MC. That's not to say I didn't enjoy the story, but if you're going in assuming the book would follow an MC formula you'll discover you get something much different.

Zach and Grace make an odd couple, on paper, but their chemistry quickly proves that despite their dissimilar backgrounds these two click. The sexual chemistry between these two is off the charts. But they also mesh outside the bedroom. Zach gives Grace the needed push to reach for her dreams and Grace gives Zach the sense of love and family he's been missing for the past ten years.

This was a quick, enjoyable read. If you're looking to maybe ease your way into MC romances, Hooked is definitely one to try.

This is a scorching hot book and such a great story, we meet biker Zach who knows how to talk dirty and please a woman, but when he meets Grace classy woman from a whole different neighbourhood he has no idea what has hit him, she turns him upside down and as for Grace she is totally stunned at the feelings that sear through her body when she meets Zach. Make yourself comfortable for this ride lots of ups and downs in this one.

Grace comes from a very wealthy family she is the eldest daughter and as such does everything to please her family but she has had enough she breaks her engagement of four years and is on her way to her sisters when her car breaks down in a neighbourhood that she is not familiar with, walking into a bar is fate maybe but meeting Zach will open up another world for Grace, a world that shows how strong she is as well as love and the hottest sex ever.

Zach is a member of the Viking Bastards MC and has been a part of them basically since he was born they are everything to him as is his sister and brother, Zach has no intention of ever making a commitment to any woman, but when a gorgeous redhead walks in the bar that rainy night, his reaction is off the planet and one night is never going to be enough, she is burned into his mind, body and soul.

I loved this story two people from such totally different lifestyles who bond not just in the bedroom but with their emotions as well they are so good for each other, I loved Zach, gorgeous, strong and yes caring and Grace beautiful inside and out she could only see the good in Zach and they bought the best out in each other and yes it is one crazy sexy journey till they get to the HEA and what a HEA it is woohoo, first in a series and I can’t wait to read more.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date February 6, 2017

Zach…

I like my sex dirty and disposable. I'm not into commitment or chicks who want more than one night. My brothers and club come first, second and last.

Until she walks into my life. Classy, rich and so out of my league it's crazy. A week together should get her out of my system, but this good girl is so bad when we're all alone and I can't get enough of her.

I don't do forever, but she's hooked me so bad I don't ever want to let her go. Except there's no way a princess can live in my world and I sure as hell won't live in hers..

•••••

REVIEW: 3.5 stars--HOOKED is the first installment in Christina Phillips’s contemporary, adult VIKING BASTARDS erotic, romance series focusing on the members of the Viking Bastards MC. This is MC member Zach Reynolds, and HR specialist Grace Mulholland’s story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Zach and Grace) HOOKED focuses on the unlikely relationship between mechanic Zach Reynolds- a member of the Vikings Bastards MC, and HR specialist Grace Mulholland. Grace finds herself in a predicament when her car breaks down and her cell phone is dead. Walking into Odin’s - a seedy, rundown biker bar- finds our heroine going outside of her comfort zone and offering whatever it takes to the man in charge. Enter third generation MC member Zach Reynolds-a tattooed biker who demands everything from Grace and more. What ensues is the quick building relationship between two people from opposite sides of the track.

HOOKED is a story of erotica; a sexually, uninhibited look at one woman’s journey into the dark and dangerous world of the MC, and one man’s struggle to keep from falling for the ‘princess’ that calls to his heart. Like most MC story lines there is plenty of $ex and sexual situations but there is very little known about the Club and its members- the Club and everything it represents is secondary to the story line premise.

We are introduced to Zach’s sister Kat, and their brother Gage; tattooist and MC member Cade, as well as Grace’s sister Charity. The premise is entertaining and intoxicating; the characters are spirited and dynamic; the romance is passionate and erotic. The conflict is limited to Zach’s inability to accept anything beyond a one-night stand; any angst is brought about by demons from Zach’s past. I was hoping for a little more grit , danger and conflict but as an introductory story line HOOKED had me hooked from the very start.

Simply put, HOOKED is a guilty pleasure read through and through! I wasn't the deepest of books, it wasn't a ball of angst, it wasn't a full out MC Romance, but damn it was GOOOOOOD!

Smoking Hot and Sexy as Sin, Christina Phillips literally opens with a bang and it just gets better and better. I really enjoyed the relationship between Zach and Grace, he was the bad to her good, the naughty to her nice, and they brought out the best in each other.

I did get the horrible, "my heart might crack right now" feeling when things went south for them, and I started to get teary-eyed, so I can tell you I was emotionally invested in their HEA!

I encourage you to grab this little slice of Guilty Pleasure heaven today!

This is not your hardcore biker book but it does give you a hot alpha man who is coming to terms that a woman can actually touch his heart. He is used to women touching everything but his heart so this is all new territory to him. Zach felt an attraction to Grace the moment she walked in to a biker bar that night. Things couldn’t go worse for Grace that rainy night when she finally had enough courage to dump her fiancé, she gets lost after a detour, then her car breaks down in a bad neighborhood, and her phone is dead. She has no choice but to walk into this seedy bar hoping to use a phone in order to get help. It just so happens her help comes in the form of a hot, sexy guy wearing a biker’s cut and is covered in tats. What better way to get over her breakup than to take a walk on the wild side with this sexy as hell biker; it’s not like she will see him tomorrow. Grace is tired of being the nice, rich girl who has had her life mapped out for her by her family and ex-fiancé. What will one night of down and dirty sex matter? It’s not like anyone will find out, right? This is a book will steam up your windows and will captivate you with the path that Zach and Grace take. This is a romantic read with a little bit of dirty thrown in.

I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley for a freely given honest review.

I absolutely loved this booked!! It's a super steamy and sexy bad boy meets good girl story. He's a rough biker, she's a spoiled rich girl. Together they just work. No woman has ever gotten to Zach but from the time he first sees Grace he knows he has to have her. What Grace thinks will be a one time walk on the wild side suddenly turns into so much more.

I highly recommend this book but if you're looking for a down and dirty MC read, this isn't it. This is definitely on the fluffy side of the MC genre but it is a fantastic read.

Zach is a member of the Viking Bastards MC, it is his main priority and women, they are for enjoyment only. Zach knows a woman taking a walk on the wild side and that is exactly what he sees when a beautiful woman with a lot of class walks into his family's bar.

Grace has just ended her engagement to the man her family thinks is ideal. She already works for her family business when she dreams of doing anything else and she cannot see spending the rest of her life with the man that they think is perfect for her and the business. So instead of facing her parents she decides to hide out at her sisters. However her car has other thoughts when it breaks down in front of a MC bar. All she wants is a phone because of course hers has died but what she finds is a hot guy offering her a night she will never forget.

I had a hard time with this story, it was a bit of an instant love with two people who don't know each other and really don't have anything in common. However their finding their way from a night of sex to a real relationship is sweet .

I can’t believe it has been a while since I read a MC romance, however Hooked soon remind me why I loved this sub genre for so long. Philips first in a new series didn’t disappoint.
I love that whilst it was cliché it was fun and sexy and I couldn’t get enough especially after the first chapter.

Philips opening was perfect and lived up to the title. I loved how Grace and Zach met each other despite being cliché. I t was perfect for these two characters. Grace the rich heriress working for the family business and Zach a MC who lives up to name of his club. Built like a Viking and he definitely was alpha male he didn’t second think. He thought it was all a game. It should have been awkward but instead it work beautifully.
Those moment shaped their relationship and I loved that as there was tough moments in this novel Whilst you probably thinking that the heroine was caught up being a rich girl walking on the wilde side to get attention . Grace was far from the cliché and this what really stood out . The author may used clichés for the basis for her story. However there was so much more, both struggled with things in the story and it wasn’t trivial. It made more just a MC romance novel and I loved when an author goes beyond then what you expect.

It was nearly perfect. My only problem was the whole MC angle wasn’t fleshed out enough. Whilst we got mention of the clubhouse and introduced to the key members of Viking Bastard I wanted to see Grace handle herself in the clubhouse. I wanted to be shown not told about certain things. I know the whole no outsiders but even so Zach and Grace’s relationship was on thin ice at times. I wanted Grace not to be left out in the dark as such was by the club. It was selective by Zach and I wonder if this is the last we see of these two purely because of the big changes they went through. Either way I can’t wait for more of this series.

Hooked is a lovely, light and fun romance. I practically read it in one sitting, and it had me smiling from start to finish. Hooked is a great story, what it isn’t is a Biker romance. Ok, it is in the sense that Zach, the hero, is part of an MC, he wears a cut and there are small mentions of club associated life. But that’s the extent of it, there is no club business or action of any kind. Sorry, there’s definitely sexy action, and that is super-hot, just no other kind of action.

A classy chick, Grace, walks into a biker bar. Her car died in the middle of a storm at night and her phone was kaput too. After being the dutiful eldest daughter working in the family company and dating the family approved guy, she sees Zach and after his forward come-on just goes for it.

Zach the badass biker hunk is quite taken by the uppity redhead bombshell. And one hook up doesn’t seem to be enough to get her out of his system. When they start to spend more and more time together, will Grace walk away from her family’s expectations and do what (and who) she really wants for once? Will Zach’s carefree-biker persona get in the way of the best thing that ever happened to him besides his club?

As I said, Hooked was a great romance. It had sweet, it had steamy and some sexy hot. Zach was a typical biker dude used to plenty of easy women hanging on him. I really enjoyed how the author let us witness the gradual change to his feelings, or more accurately his gradual acknowledgment of said feelings. At times his conversations with himself were hilarious.

Grace I liked too, her eldest child syndrome (how she put it) did get a bit on my nerves, and a little more open communication with her family would have been best. I also loved how the author handled her feelings and the way she was always open about her lack of experience with Zach, making her quite refreshing in this regard.

Again, if you go in expecting a tough, action-packed Biker romance you will not find what you’re looking for. What I got was a really good, wonderful story that had me smiling from the start until the very end and left me with a happy glow. I’ll be eagerly waiting for the next in the series…. Although had there been an epilogue I would have been much more glowy.

This was a really sweet story. Something was missing thou. I expected it to be more of an MC book, rather than a romance. We don't get to know the other members of the club, there is no mention of any club business, nothing really happens. Hero meets heroine, he wants her, she wants him, they hook up, then he doesn't want to let her go. Then theres a little bit of an issue with the ex-boyfriend, and her family. But nothing really happens there either. Then the hero gets a bit scared and takes it out on the heroine (being mean). Heroine has her heart broken, hero comes for her and wants her back, heroine wants that too. Her family is suddenly not so bad anymore, everyone gets along together. HEA.

I just expected a little bit more, because these series is named "Viking Bastards MC". But it could have any other name, really. The hero just rode a bike, and sat with his buddies and was a mechanic from the wrong side of town. Nothing MC related at all.

I loved how he was faithful to her since meeting her. He didn't even think about other women. So it was a safe book, with a happy ending. It was sweet.

This book was so good! I loved it!
Zack and Grace meets by accident, while her car broke down and her self phone died. From the moment they met the chemistry was explosive.

But Zack is MC guy and Grace is a rich 'princess'. This will never work right.
But they can't deny how they feel or how good the sex is. So will they compromise or will they rather both go their separate ways.

Loved Zack and even though he tried to deny his feelings for Grace he couldn't escape how he felt.

Awesome story, can't wait for the next one. Will it be Zacks brother Gage??

Well, that was a sweet surprise!

Hooked is the fictional equivalent of cotton candy. Pink cotton candy. I love cotton candy.

Hero and heroine meet when rich chick Grace’s car breaks down and she has to go to the big scary biker bar to make a phone call. Zach the big bad biker H sees and wants to have raunchy sex with her and does. Grace just broke up with her white-bread fiancee and thinks a ride on the wild side is in order.

Doesn’t quite work out that way as their ONS turns into a month long affair. POV from both characters works well as they both try to figure out what the heck they are doing with each other, and they both open up in different ways. Thank goodness, the author didn’t go the cheap and easy route and make Grace a snooty bee-yotch. Okay, she’s a little princess, but she’s pretty sweet.

Kudos to Christina Phillips for giving readers (me at least) what we want. Zach says something unforgivable He goes to find her, and does she roll over? No way Jose! She makes him sweat and work for forgiveness.

More of a novella than anything, I would have liked more with her family and Zach and at least one more confrontation with the dweebie, white-bread ex. Tons of sex if that is a no.

Side note: He’s the worst MC bad-ass, bad boy biker EVER. The most he does is punch a potential prospect for calling Grace a word the H uses all the time.

I think the only difference about this is that it doesn't seem like he's in an MC. An MC with only 9 members? The club is not a part of the book at all which is weird. Nor is the hero very alpha BUT .. I thought it was good enough to finish at least.

Short easy sassy story of bad boy meets good girl. More like the princess and the rouge.

Very easy low drama except for the end and that wasn't too bad. Slow thinking Zach though doesnt figure out till the end and break my chains stand on my own two feet Grace let's him sweat it out.

This review is based on the ARC provided by the author and/or the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

It was a very good book. It fell in line with the trope of bad boy biker meets rich good girl. Her walk on the wild side and his one night stand expands into something more.
