Barefoot William Beach #6

No Time to Explain

Rate this book
A baseball pro learns a few tricks from a beautiful dog trainer in this beach town romance by the USA Today bestselling author of No Tan Lines.

Richmond Rogues’ left-fielder Joe “Zoo” Zooker has his own ritual for the start of spring training—a weekend of pure pleasure, including as many pretty faces and curvaceous bodies as he can charm into his bed. After that, he’s all about baseball, especially with hungry minor leaguers just waiting to take his place. But when a beautiful woman with a smart mouth brushes off his flirting, he’s determined to go to bat as often as it takes to win a smile aimed only at him.    Stevie may be new to the beach town of Barefoot William, but she’s seen plenty of hot and hunky charmers like Zoo before. Managing her aunt’s doggie daycare business, she’s up to her ears in rowdy puppies—and she doesn’t need a lifelong hound like Zoo breaking her heart. Still, there’s no denying the attraction between them, and as spring training heats up, lust suddenly begins to look a lot like love.

Ugh. Barely into the first chapter, on page 2!!!!, and the H is described as having "six Magnum XLs in his wallet to get him through the night." *rolls eyes* When I read this line, I had a bad feeling.

Joe "Zoo" Zooker is supposed to be a major league baseball player. But good grief, he is not likable. Not to me, at least. I mean, come on, would you after reading this? These are some of his thoughts:

"Booze, babes, and sex would definitely come into play.... So many women. Ladies came on to him... He liked the attention. A lot. Space was tight. Whether intentional or by accident, female bodies pressed against him.... Arousal heightened his senses. He was looking for a weekend lover... So he kept on walking, sex foremost on his mind."

And this is just the first freaking chapter! Did I mention that already?!

I went on to read what was supposed to be the "meet-cute" for the MC's. I was hoping it would get better. But, no. OMG. It was more like, imo, "meet-the-asshole". I did not want to continue reading. At all.

I love all if the Barefoot William books and it was nice to see some of the past characters in No Time to Explain.

Joe is a baseball player down to his bones. He doesn't do commitments, instead, he has his hand selected posse of women who are there whenever he needs them. He likes women and they like him back.

Stevie is in town to help her Aunt while she is recovering from an injury. She winds up in several unusual positions and more than once Joe comes to her rescue. Joe is drawn to her, for reasons that he doesn't understand, especially when Stevie shoots him down at ever turn.

Sometimes you have to open up your heart and trust the other person in return.

This book starts with very mixed messaging, and in fact the first 5 or 6 pages nearly made me toss it. However, it has all 4 items needed for a challenge, so I kept reading. Glad I did because it was worth it, although still some problems.

What was so offensive? Chapter one opens on a beach on the Gulf Coast of Florida, and Joe "Zoo" Zooker is strolling the boardwalk with a buddy. Initially it's all from Joe's POV. 4th sentence: It was a sea of sexy, sweet, and everything in between. It just gets worse from there. Joe is a star baseball player, all ego, testosterone, lust and borderline criminally offensive. In fact, later in the book he's described: He stood alone. Tall, built, and dangerous. The man not only has a loose (manwhore comes to mind) reputation, he has a party posse made up of 12 stunning and free living women! As I'm reading those first pages, my skin starting to crawl at the thought of this guy being the hero and can I stomach 220 or so pages of this, Joe stops to admire the legs of a beautiful young woman trying on a bridal garter at one of the booths along the boardwalk. Did I mention this is a bridal show held outdoors along the boardwalk and Joe and his baseball team buddies are there prowling for hook-ups? Oh yeah - trigger gag reflex.

And here is where the author managed to save it just enough for me to keep reading and ultimately be charmed. You see, the young woman trying on the garter is no wimp. She not only rejects him, but she calls him out on his sexist bs, and in a very funny way. And so Joe, who is allergic to marriage, is of course intrigued and basically pursues Stevie (her father wanted a boy so named her Steven) as she wanders the bridal event, getting under her skin. For her part, Stevie is attracted though somewhat uncomfortable about it.

As the story unfolds, dogs enter the picture to add a serious cuteness factor and show us a softer better side to Joe. A couple of side character romances add sweetness, one involving long unrequited love, the other an older couple. There's also a very weak bit of drama involving a baseball league rival that is there only to create a reason for secrets to be kept and once revealed nearly destroy the relationship. Surprisingly, there are only 2 steamy scenes near the very end, after Joe and Stevie have been circling and teasing each other for a while. Ultimately, I really enjoyed it and even bumped up my rating because it really did a nice job of incorporating both baseball (especially an exhibition game) and a game of beach checkers (using humans on a giant board) into the plot.

Kate Angell writes the perfect romance books. There is heat, love and humor. None of her characters take themselves too seriously. Ms. Angell also has a knack for writing stories that move quickly, but still allow the reader to fall for the characters and to believe that a romance is actually building. Her characters in this book do not fall in love at first sight. Rather, their relationship takes time to build.
Joe Zooker is the left fielder for the Richmond Rogues and has an ego to go with his major league career. He knows that he does well with the ladies and doesn’t mind his one-night stand reputation. He never plans to get married so settling down isn’t on his radar. Then he meets a woman who seems to want nothing to do with him. Suddenly the chase becomes about more than just one night.
Stevie Reynolds is home to help her aunt with her doggie day care. Her aunt fell and broke her leg so Stevie and her best friend, Lori, arrive to help. Stevie doesn’t expect to run into Joe nor to find herself attracted to him. She promised her cousin that she would stay away from all ball players, but Joe keeps showing up in the places she is. His pursuit is rather hard to resist.
Both Stevie and Joe have reasons to be suspicious of their attraction to each other. They also have other things on their minds. Stevie is concerned about her aunt and Joe is looking at the players coming up from the minors. Ms. Angell gives them time to figure out each other and their relationship. She doesn’t make things easy for them and gives them challenges.
For those of you familiar with Ms. Angell’s Barefoot William Beach series, this book will include some familiar characters. For those of you who are picking up one of Ms. Angell’s books for the first time, you will have no trouble understanding the setting of this book. It can truly stand on its own. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Angell has in store for her next book.

What's better to read than, romance, baseball and puppies, then this is the perfect read for you! Loved, loved this story of Stevie and Joe, with a few other sideline romances. Richmond Rougues are back for spring training. Joe is all in for the baseball and not interested into a long term relationship until he meets Stevie and things will now change. Stevie is new to town and is helping her aunt's doggie daycare. The attraction and chemistry is there but she does not want her heart broken.

Loved the banter between Stevie and Joe. Both dog lovers!! Loved Turbo and Etta too, puppy love!! This is a fun, fast paced story that you can not put down. I highly recommend this story. This is part of series but can be read as a stand alone.

If you’ve read any of Kate Angell’s Barefoot Williams’ series before, you know what you’re going to get: a charming read with an interesting, maybe insecure, heroine; a hunky, athletic hero; fun animals; and short, choppy sentences that sometimes lack subjects. And it’s all in a delightful, summery setting that just makes you want to kick back on the beach and enjoy the weather and the book. That’s exactly what you get in this newest entry.

Joe Zooker is a star left-fielder on the Richmond Rogues who has vowed never to settle down with just one woman. Instead he has a party posse of babes who are happy to hang with him as a harem of available women. He notices Stevie at a weird sort of wedding fair of products appealing to prospective brides and tries to pick her up. But she’s not interested in such a player. They keep meeting up in and eventually they’re both living at her aunt’s house which is the most wonderful doggie day-care place that anyone could imagine. While his Rottweiler falls for her cousin’s bulldog in a sweet doggie romance, Joe falls for her.

It’s all very charming and sweet like the other books in the series. If you don’t mind a guy who has a party posse of babes one day and then is hankering after the heroine the next day, then you’ll thoroughly enjoy this book.

I was given a free ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

The Rogues are back in Barefoot William for another spring training and the players are as wild as ever! Joe “Zoo” Zooker likes having his own kind of fun before training begins with as many willing ladies as he can find. After that it's all baseball all the time. That is until a certain sassy woman catches his eye. Stevie knows Joe Zooker's type all too well and she is immune to his charm! Besides she's way too busy for the likes of him. He's not giving up that easy though!!

I love these Barefoot William books and this is one of my favorites! Great characters and a nice easy story make this a perfect lazy day read. I highly recommend it.

Joe "Zoo" Zooker is not the carefree playboy with his party posse that he seems. Yes, he does not believe in marriage or dating even but does that make him a bad guy. Stevie agrees to come help her aunt run her dog daycare while she is recovering from a broken leg. Stevie wont give Zoo the time of day, he even moves in with her so his precious dog would be taken care of.

Angell has great style and got to see some of our past favorite couples with our Rogues and Barefoot Williams series combining into a fantastic book.

i liked how characters from previous books made "guest spot appearances" in the story while introducing the reader to new characters in this story.

lots of sexual tension build up. good chemistry b/w Joe & Stevie. Some light humor.
good supporting characters to the leads.

i didn't like how Joe comes across as a "D.." for the first half of the book. It takes a while for him to change & become more likable. Stevie was also a little too cutesy in the beginning. I didn't think the writer gave her character enough depth in the story.

overall, a decent book in the series.

Joe is just so cocky, “yeah, you do.” He was so self-assured. “You expected me to kiss you within the first ten minutes. Give it time, babe. Anticipation. Sexual psych.” There are times I think Stevie just wants to secretly ogle her man, “That’s the only way you’ll get one.” He jumped off the bed. Stalked her. Nude, semi-erect, and hungry-eyed. He evaluated the cupcakes, gave each his full attention..." I really liked this book, I loved Joe.

Joe "Zoo" Zooker plays left field for the Richmond Rogues baseball team. Zoo is a player with women too. He has a posse of women that follow him around. He has a rule, one night only, no commitment. He comes to Stevie Reynolds rescue but she is not remotely interested in his flirting. She is not impressed with him at all and doles out sass and snarky come backs to him. He may have met his match.

This is part of a series but could be read as a stand alone book. I loved Stevie's attitude. There were some funny lines in this book and Joes t shirts were a hoot. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

What a cute, sizzling, and romantic story. Joe and Stevie fight each other every step of the way and that makes for a very entertaining read. The humor and snarkiness that appears in Stevie's vocabulary every time the saw each other made this story flow fast. They both needed to realize what they actually wanted before they could be happy; it wasn't always what they thought so sparks definitely fly. I cannot wait for these stories to continue. Thank You NetGalley and Kate Angell for allowing me to read this book and give an honest review.

My review originally posted on Romancing-the-Book.com is below:

No Time to Explain by Kate Angell is book six in the Barefoot Williams series and I was seamlessly back on the beach in Florida with the Rogues baseball team, the players we've come to know and lots and lots of dogs. There are so many stories being told but all smoothly blend together and the book flows nicely from baseball to love interests, family and friends, small businesses, philanthropy, bridal events, generosity, doggie love and more. There are also secrets, injuries, sadness, anger, hope, fear, nonchalance, cupcakes, romance, love and lots of burn up the sheet moments in and out of bed.

This is Joe, also know as Zoo, and Stevie's story and what a story with their powerful chemistry apparent at first sight even though Stevie tries to resist him the best she can and Joe knows he's not into commitment! Funny that they meet at an annual bridal event on the beach and not under the best of circumstances. The only negative for me is Joe's party posse, Team Zoo Squad, made up of twelve hot girls that he handpicked for partying and sex. This seemed more than having groupies who followed athletes around and definitely made Stevie uncomfortable hearing about them or seeing them in action.

Stevie's Aunt Twyla along with Stevie's best friend Lori were nice additions to the story along with Unleashed her aunt's doggie daycare business. Joe's dog Turbo is a force to be reckoned with and it seems that obedience school would be helpful for him or is there another way to calm him? All the references to anything related to being a bride and saying I do were swoon worthy and pretty romantic even when they were just playacting. There was nice closure and a happily ever after in the offing but much more story to tell with so many other baseball players to get to know.

Whether you've read a previous book in this series or the Richmond Rogues series, No Time to Explain can be read on it's own. If you're looking for a quick and fun read, perfect for the beach, this is a series and an author for you!

The Barefoot Williams series is a Delightful series. No Time to Explain was no exception. My one and only complaint about the Barefoot Williams sedories is that it take's so long for the next. I love the guys of the Rogue baseball team. Joe 'Zoo' Zooker was no different. I usually don't like players. But Ms. Angell made Zoo likable. And once he met Stevie that was it! I liked that Stevie gave him a run for his money. And didn't fall all over him like his posse. Which intrigued him. Seeing Zoo with 9 year old cancer patient Ashley and his Rottweiler, Turbo made me fall in love with him. I loved that Stevie helped her Aunt run a Doggy daycare. There were 4 romances going on in this book, which I thought was cool. Zoo and Stevie of course. Stevie's friend Lori and cousin Dean. Who was Zoo's rival. Stevie's Aunt Twyla and rug fixer, George and Zoo's Rottweiler Turbo and Rival Dean's Bulldog, Etta. It added to the story. Very cute. I loved the addition of all the dog's. Being introduced to all the different breeds. My favorite scenes? Zoo with Ashley. And the pretend wedding photo shoot with all the dogs added. My dream wedding. I also appreciated that they didn't fall into bed right away. Sweet and romantic that it was their honeymoon. Even if it was pretend. I liked the ending with Zoo and Dean. Just a delightful and charming story.

Heat, tension, chemistry, humor! It’s all here in Kate’s latest book.

Joe Zooker is a wild Rogue! His love life mirrors his ball playing life, unconventional and 100% presence. Joe and his posse of 12 gorgeous women are well-known around Barefoot William. Joe runs into Stevie Reynolds at the bridal fair on the boardwalk of Barefoot William. Stevie has just tried on a gorgeous garter. Joe compliments her on her legs and how lovely the garter looks. Stevie serves Joe back with sass and snark. As the discussion heats up, Stevie gets exasperated and walks off, still wearing the garter. The owner accuses Stevie of shoplifting, and Joe steps in to “save the day”. As the day continues, it seems everywhere Stevie looks, Joe is there. And spring season is just beginning. How often can their paths cross and how can Stevie avoid Joe in the process?

This has to be one of my favorite books by Kate Angell. I really think it’s the best she’s written.

Joe 'Zoo' Zooker is used to women flirting and monopolizing his time when he's not out on the diamond. However, the gorgeous woman he interacts with at a bridal event doesn't seem all that interested and instead blows him off until she finds herself in trouble. Still, it's an uphill battle to win the smart-mouthed Stevie over. Will Stevie realize Joe is a good guy despite his womanizing ways before it's too late or will they lose their chance at happy ever after?

What a highly-entertaining, fast-paced, enchanting read Ms. Angell has delivered in this sixth book of her Barefoot William Beach series where the main characters were absolutely captivating; and the dialogue enthralling because of the heroine and her smart mouth and her ability to be able to resist one of Baseball's most irresistible players. The way this story started drew me into this story immediately, because it's palpable that the hero loves women and is looking for someone to share a good time with. However, it was from the moment that the hero and heroine met that had me amused, because Stevie has a smart mouth and acts like she's immune to the hero's charm, so he doesn't get the woman he wants.

As for the dialogue, it was absolutely riveting and had me totally hooked by the heroine's determination to be resist Joe, even though it's palpable she's not going to be able to hold out for long. Furthermore, I loved the main characters back stories, as Joe doesn't believe in happy ever after. He's more into one-night stands or spending limited time with a woman until he's ready to walk away. Yet, the heroine is hard to walk away from right from the beginning when Joe comes to Stevie's rescue. How long will it take Joe to win the heroine over? Will Stevie ever confess about her family situation that might send Joe packing, especially because of the competition he faces from a fellow player? However, what I liked most of all about the hero was his determination to win the heroine over, even though he's not interested in happy ever after.

While the heroine, she's hard-working, loyal, independent and I liked how much a challenge she provided for Joe with her smart mouth and her determination to resist the intense chemistry between them. I also liked how close she was with her family and that they would do anything for each other, which is proven by what she's doing for her aunt and the promise she made to her cousin. Yet, what I liked most of all was that Stevie decided to take a chance on the hero, because she's good for him and vice-versa.

Overall, Ms. Angell has penned an incredible read in this book where the secondary characters were just as entertaining as the main ones; the chemistry between this couple was strong; and the ending had me cheering for this couple's happy ever after, because everything worked out for the best when it came to good news for one of the secondary characters and Joe when it came to their baseball careers. However, it was how things turned out for the hero and heroine that I liked best about the end, because Joe does something very memorable for the heroine. Who doesn't love cupcakes? I would recommend No Time to Explain by Kate Angell, if you enjoy sports romance, the opposites attract trope, or books by authors Jill Shalvis, Tawna Fenske, Samantha Chase and Rachel Gibson.

No Time to Explain (Barefoot William Beach #6)
by Kate Angell
Ok this book was too fun! Joe “Zoo” Zooker is a ball player in town for the start of spring training. He’s hanging out at a Bridal show on the beach, looking to pick up a girl he can take home for the night or at least to the hotel for the night and he runs into one hot lady.
Stevie who has come to town with her friend in order to help her Aunt out at her doggie daycare as she has hurt herself and can’t take care of it for a while. Stevie and her friend are at a local Bridal Show on the beach just looking around and Stevie fills out for different prizes, although she doesn’t have a boyfriend she definitely is not going to get married, it’s just a lark. She runs into Zoo. He hits on her and really annoys her, he won’t take no for an answer and unlike his normal self he keeps pursuing this gal through the entire story even though she keeps protesting she isn’t interested. She eventually has to suck It up and play nice when he brings his dog to the business to be taken care of as he really terrorized the hotel and was asked to leave. Zoo’s dog is very much like him and doesn’t take no for an answer either. There are laugh out loud moments during this story and you have to pick this book up! I LOVED IT!

This book was a gift on NetGalley.com in exchange for an honest review. It came in kindle format. This is my review.

Description of book as found on Good Reads:
Who says romance has gone to the dogs?

Richmond Rogues’ left-fielder Joe “Zoo” Zooker has his own ritual for the start of spring training—a weekend of pure pleasure, including as many pretty faces and curvaceous bodies as he can charm into his bed. After that, he’s all about baseball, especially with hungry minor leaguers eager for their own shot at the majors, just waiting for him to strike out. But when a beautiful woman with a smart mouth brushes off his flirting, he’s determined to go to bat as often as it takes to win a smile aimed only at him.

Stevie may be new to the beach town of Barefoot William, but she’s seen plenty of charmers like hot and hunky Zoo before. I loved, loved, loved Stevie and Joe in No Time to Explain by Kate Angell. This is a wonderful book that brings the reader once again back to Barefoot William. Stevie is in Barefoot William to help her injured aunt run her doggy day care. Joe, “Zoo”, Zooker, left fielder for the Richmond Rogues, is ready for spring training but has to deal with a minor leaguer vying for Joe’s spot. From their first meeting at a bridal event, which is hysterical, until the end, Stevie is unsure how to react to Joe’s comments and attention. Zoo actually is no longer into his womanizing and partying ways once he meets Stevie. There’s a secret that could affect the outcome of the relationship between Stevie and Zoo.

I also loved the appearances of some of my favorite Rogues, those still single and those married. The family the Rogue players create is amazing and tight. Also the appearance of front office and first generation Rogues, Risk Kincaid, Psycho McMillan and Kason Rhode who play a part in the outcome of the left fielder rivalry and revealing Stevie’s secret. There is a secondary romance between Zoo’s dog Turbo and his rival’s dog Etta, which just adds to the fun and games within the story.

I totally loved reading this book and really had trouble putting this book down. Kate Angell is a wonderful story teller and it was very difficult to put this book down. She wrote a fun and entertaining story that drew me in and not letting go until I turned the last page. I really want to retire in Barefoot William or at least winter there. This book should definitely be on everyone’s reading list. I highly recommend this book to other readers and cannot wait for the next Barefoot William/ Rogue story by Kate Angell.

Hm. It wasn’t that I didn’t like this book, but I never quite loved it either. Which is a shame because I love Barefoot William and I like the Rogues and I even liked Joe – which I wasn’t expecting after his space invader antics at the beginning. The problem was there’s not a lot of real conflict, and what there is first gets overblown and then gets quickly brushed away. As I said, I didn’t hate it, but I expected a little more.

Joe/Zoo is a typical playboy jock at the beginning, intrigued by the woman who turns him down. He’s pretty pushy, extremely competitive and very determined. But I was never quite sure what turned Stevie from a challenge into special for him. I never really got what he saw in her – nor she in him. Proximity definitely helped, but anything more remained a bit of a mystery to me.

Likewise, Stevie. She’s so very, very, very determined to keep Joe at arm’s length at first that her change of mind came really abruptly. One minute she can’t keep far enough away from him, then suddenly, nah, it’s all fine. But why? What changed? And what are her plans for the future anyway? It’s all very hazy.

Then there’s the secret, which shouldn’t have been much of a secret if they ever tried to actually get to know each other. I also expected more to come from the Party Posse. Plus the ending was all resolved far too easily and neatly. It just didn’t quite work for me.

Which is a shame because I loved the board game scene, Super Zooker and everything to do with the Rogues and the town. This whole setting is always fun to read about, I just wish this couple had done more for me. Sadly, this time, I guess it was just an okay read.

Fun, funny and filled with charm – what a treat this book and series truly is!

Joe “Zoo” Zooker is a hound….self-proclaimed player who enjoys women and even has his own groupies known as his posse. He never promises women more than pleasure and a good time should they take his offer to join him in bed and he is perfectly content with his life just as it is. When he’s scouting out his next night’s woman while walking on the boardwalk he notices Stevie Reynolds trying on something being sold at a bridal fair and makes a comment on the boardwalk during a bridal fair he makes a comment about something she has just tried on. Her response is not what he expected…not at all. One thing leads to another…sort of. Stevie is drawn but does not succumb easily – for more than one reason. Joe is trying to figure out why his charm doesn’t seem to work on Stevie and why he is drawn to her in spite of her stand-offish prickly behavior. Joe is more than the “hound” he seems to be and Stevie is less prickly than she first appears. Add in some great baseball, a variety of friendships and romances (human and canine), superheroes, doggy daycare, a bridal shoot…and more… and you end up with this very entertaining delightful addition to the Barefoot William Beach series.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the ARC – This is my honest review.

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Richmond Rogues are back! I fell in love with the Rogues years ago and forgot how much I missed them until I read this book! It will not only have you laughing at the crazy antics of the dogs and Rogues, but will also have you loving the relationships that will form along the way. Kate Angell never disappoints and No Time To Explain is spot on!!!

Joe Zooker has one thing on his mind, finding his next hook up and what better place than an outdoor wedding convention. And when he meets an attractive woman at a garter vendor and he can't seem to forget about her and her unique name, Stewie.

Stevie is in town for a few months to help her aunt out and when her and her friend, Lori, decide to stop at a wedding convention, she is surprised to meet Joe Zooker, a Richmond Rogue. And while she tries to ignore his charm, she can't help but still be attracted to him. But she promised her cousin she would stay away from the Rogues especially Zoo.

When chance throws them together again an again, Stevie is soon forced to realize that maybe giving Joe a chance might not be the worst thing. But trying to appease her cousin and Joe soon becomes a lot and she might have to make a decision on who's side she is on. But will Joe be able to tear her walls down or will his reputation and her cousin force her to give up her chance at happiness?

Kate Angell is a go-to author for me since I always seem to love her characters. However, this case is a little different. No Time to Explain is part of the Barefoot William Baseball Series with a “player” on and off the field as a main character. I thought when “Zoo” Zooker enters the story that he is someone great to invite to a party but not the type to introduce to mother. He grew as a person so that I could actually say that I liked him. Stevie was right to be wary of him but everyone needs a chance to change, so I was rooting for her to give him one.

As I have always found, Ms. Angell’s books move a quick pace, have the wonderful romance but also a strong story-line so that you feel as if you know these characters like friends at the end of the book. There is also emotional connections and growth in her stories. No Time to Explain has all that. Since I am not a dedicated sport romance fan, I enjoy the beach and the dogs (love them) in this series even more than the sports. This is a book that will leave you smiling, making it not just a perfect beach read but an anytime read.

An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley.

Cute read with some interesting characters including the dogs. Turbo and Etta were so cute together. Joe wasn't my type of guy in the beginning but it really was just a layer of him and he switched very quickly. Stevie was very sassy and it seemed to dilute as the book went on. The team bond was nice to see and I'd like to see some of their stories. The dog day care was a nice change of setting and made for some funny scenes. The only issue I had with the book was at the end when Joe proposed to Stevie. I don't think with the story that this was the right way to go. For me it would have been better to have it be a relationship commitment. They still had a long way to go before marriage should have been brought up. It was too much of a huge change for Joe even with the way the relationship was going at the time. I received a free ebook in exchange for an honest review.

No time to explain is one funny awesome sports love story. OMG, I loved it. It is written just the way I like with a lot of humor, great developed characters, both easy to fall in love and guess what it has a dog too. I love when a story has a dog in it. The way Zoo and Stevie meet hilarious, their dialogue and their teasing great great great. Although full of himself I loved Zoo he turned out to be a great guy, I just loved that although he was rejected so many times from Stevie he keeps it easy, was always teasing her and was not unfriendlier. Stevie was also the heroine that I love strong, independent had a strong backbone and didn't give a damn a bout Zoos flirting techniques. The chemistry between them of the hook hot. I loved how the story was so unpredictable toward the end and that all had their HEA.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

I received this book after release day from the publisher through Netgalley in exchange for my honest review. Thank you for that!

This is a fun, sweet, sassy, funny, sexy romance! Throw in those dogs with personality-plus and I really enjoyed this story. Joe is cocky, sexy and arrogant but also generous and genuinely a nice guy. I love him!! Stevie is sassy and funny and not even the least bit interested in a player like Joe, that is until she sees what he is really like. I love her too! She is a very generous and caring person too so that is a side of Joe she really likes. And Super Zooker is Awesome!
Joe the bad boy and Stevie the good girl may not have been looking for each other but their chemistry could not be denied and what they find together ends up being so amazing and real!
Kate Angell pitches another no-hitter with this amazing series! Love those Rogues!
