As the Navy Command Ship USS Coronado prepares to unleash an attack on one of Central America's most powerful drug lords, they are ambushed, and CIA agent Rick Holden and Laura Naval Intelligence officer Laura Peters join forces to expose a deadly military conspiracy out to topple the U.S. government. Original.
If you ever wondered how the U.S. military could concoct a coup against a sitting president, The Coronado Conspiracy tells the tale. It's a great story about senior officers in the Army who decide that the president, through word and deed, wants to fundamentally change the U.S. military in a way they don’t approve. The story woven by fellow Naval Aviator and helicopter pilot George Galdorisi’s includes cunning and deception by the plotters along with incompetence, personal agendas and stupidity by other officers and politicians. Its only through the dogged persistence by Peters and Holden while they try to figure out why a major drug raid leaves 136 American soldiers, sailors and Marines dead that the truth comes out. It takes Rick Holden, a Navy SEAL now working for the CIA and undercover as, guess what, a Navy SEAL and a Laura Peters, a young Naval intelligence officer to figure out what’s happened and bring it to the Congress before the President is impeached. It's a helluva story that’s realistic and in it, you’ll learn about what it takes to remove a sitting president. The Coronado Conspiracy will keep your reading lamp on well into the night and it may cause you to wonder about if something like this could really happen. Buy it, read it and you’ll be glad you did.

I have no problems with the writing of a conspiracy plot in this book. However, The Author casually blends unrealistic time frames for the different threads he covers .. in particular, things that he describes in a political context that takes several weeks, shows the individual characters involved in the book have lives that only cover a few days ... there is a HUGE discontinuity for how these people proceed from one event to another, versus the unrealistically enormous amount of stuff the politicians accomplish. As a for instance — one of the main characters NEEDS to make a critical phone call, but spends half of a day or more doing other things. That’s pretty weird.
This story is the best of Tom Clancy and the Bourne Conspiracy, a very factual peice of Naval fiction by an author who has clearly been there and done that. The two protagonists, trying to do their duty as a major mission collapses with huge loss of life, find themselves beset by powerful forces only dimly perceived. You will not be able to put this down!
Story is a bit hard to get into at first but develops quickly as characters are introduced and you get to know them. It is obvious the author has an extensive military and political background by his portrayal of people and events in the telling of the story.
The novel will keep you turning pages and is hard to put down. Am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
Was nice to read a novel where the points of reference were accurate. I was raised in McLean and went to Langley High. The Cheerleaders I knew wouldn't be happy about the crack house, but Ill look past that little slight. Did you go to McLean High George?
From the start of the action to the very end you can not wait to turn to the next page to follow the track of two unlikely America n heros. Can't wait to what else is in store for these people.
This one kept me going. Nice flow of words chosen and the plot was logical. A military thriller to say the least. I'm already looking for the next one on Kindle Unlimited!
Excellent storyline full of action, intrigue and plot twist that make it hard to stop reading. The characters are strong and easy to get behind. I really like this book and I highly recommend it.
No spoilers here! But the book is a detailed and well written story. Some things you just have to say Wow! That could happen… I look forward to reading more of the author’s books!
