The fifth book in a best-selling series brings together funny stories, interesting facts, amusing trivia, famous sayings, fashion history, and other short entries, arranged by length. Original.
At first I was going to give this one 4 stars. The reason was I found a mistake in it. The error was either the wrong year or the wrong President in an article on the Panama Canal. It had U.S. Grant serving as president in the 1850s. Sort of a big mistake, but there were several articles about carnival games and how they are rigged so you can't win. That made up for the error on Panama. Of course the error could have deliberately been made to catch anyone using the information in a book of their own. Who knows? Only the Shadow knows.
This book is a great collection of little trivia and facts, mostly for some reason about boomer pop culture. The articles in this one are very short, and mostly for a short bathroom session, at least for a quick reader like me. This is obviously before the Bathroom Reader formula was perfected, but this book is still delightful and full of interesting facts.
This book has something for everyone. You might not like all of the reading material in it, but there is plenty of interesting and good reading in it if you read through it you will find some very unique and interesting things to read about. Even a few of my family members who do not normally like to read ended up reading this book and I ordered others as gifts for them.
What can you say, when you need something to pass your time theses books are for you. Full of some interesting facts. Great for trivia players. Recommended.
