This is a novella addition to the Isle of Forgotten series that actually doesn't take place on the Isle. Doesn't matter - this fantasy world is highly original and has layers and layers to tap. Tiffany Roberts has a great, clear, absorbing writing style that I like very much. Unfortunately this is the 4th book in a row I have read by this writing team that has either rape or attempted rape as an aspect of the story. Please, dear authors, quit relying on this situation for dramatic and emotional impact. Your writing, your characters and your plots are strong enough to not need to go there.
3 stars because the story went there.....again.
UPDATE Aug. 3, 2017! I received a very nice note from the author team saying that on their own they had become aware of the unintentional prominence of this theme in their work, and they wanted to reassure that their two in-progress works will NOT include assaults of this type. Did I say how nice that note was? I wish I were half as eloquent. Did I just fan-girl a little? But, you know, NICE! I think I want them as my new neighbors.

When it comes to a series, while I love a fast pace and tons of action, I also enjoy a break from the physical chaos, and to wade into the emotional action that, while slower-paced can be just as riveting, if not more and truly invites readers to get to know the inner characters’ essence. A young love from long ago beckons a fierce and powerful mage to her rescue as he finds that the town he grew up in has been devastated by a mysterious and deadly disease.
Quildor’s own turmoil causes him to volunteer to return to his past in search of the woman who stole his heart. It’s been eighteen years, but Wren is still the same caring person she was. Having matured has made her even stronger, a force to be reckoned with and her compassion for the dying within her city leaves her no choice but to fight for their right to be treated, cared for and to die with some semblance of dignity.
Is this a simple disease or is there something evil lurking in the shadows? Only Quildor’s strength a as mage can find the answers, even as his heart has finally found its home, but will Wren and Quildor have a future? What lies ahead if black magic is being used so freely?
What I found was another well-written tale that expands on the series by widening the boundaries, and leaving as many questions as answers. For me, this is a wonderful hook into the next addition to this intense series filled with magic, mayhem and the never-ending battle between good and evil for survival.

I'd like to start off by saying a big thank you to the husband and wife duo, Tiffany Roberts, for giving me this ARC to read and review.
As many of you know, I enjoy the writing style of these two and this book fit the bill! I was excited to read this since I really enjoy the world that Tiffany Roberts created in their books.
I feel like world-building in the fantasy genre could either be a train-wreck or uhhhh-mazing! And I Tiffany Roberts does an UHHH-MAZING job in this world-building shindig.
Now on to the characters:
Quildor was an intriguing character in book 2 and I loved reading about his story. Wren was a great character. It was no surprise that she was a strong individual since these two writers write awesome females who are strong not just in actions but in will as well.
One thing that I found a little irksome was how quick Wren forgave Quildor for his misgivings. I found it a bit unbelievable but then with what was revealed as to why he left in the first place, I could understand a bit better.
The writing again was great. It was seamless and the prose of the story kept me enthralled, I read it one sitting!

Make Me Whole has become my favorite from this series, hands down. I didn’t expect to fall in love with this book as much as I did, but it happened either way. I feel like the series just keeps getting better and the third book will no doubt be amazing as well. Before reading this, I wasn’t much interested in the other characters’ stories so this just made me want to get to know each and every character that has appeared in the past two books. Maybe the fact that the novella was short is what has to do with it, but I found it to be very fast paced and there weren’t any dull moments even if the book was focused more on the romance (which I found no problem at all, me being a romance reader and all).
In Make Me Hunger, Quildor appeared to have a caring and compassionate side to him, which I think is important qualities to have when being a healer. And in this book we get to see a deeper side of him that we weren’t able to see in the previous book. Quildor has an intense regret in his heart for leaving his town behind but most of all, leaving the love of his life with the town. He is determined to return to Westhaven to make sure that Wren is not in any danger and volunteers to observe the happenings without intervening, but when he discovers a dark plague he shows himself and makes up his mind to take her back with him. Even if it’s been eighteen years without seeing Wren, Quildor is still deeply in love with her and does his best to explain his reasons for disappearing.
Despite the fact that Quildor left without saying a word Wren is still in love with him and doesn’t resent him for leaving, which says a lot about her character. If it was anyone else I don’t think he would have been forgiven easily after returning. But Wren a kind and caring person that holds a deep love for Quildor. In the eighteen years, she has matured and become a strong person which I admire dearly.
After reading any book by Tiffany Roberts I always say I’ve fallen in love with the main character, and it’s no different this time. I’ve fallen in love with Quildor and I will even go on to say that this has made my favorite from the series and I just cannot wait to read more.

Make Me Whole is a novella in the Isle of the Forgotten series featuring Quildor, one of the mages we met in Make Me Hunger. It is also the first book, so far, not to be set on the island. Instead Quildor goes back to the small village and young woman he abandoned when he was a young man. A plague has hit the village and nearly all the inhabitants have died, one of the survivors is Wren, the woman Quildor loves. But, this isn’t a normal plague and is instead one created by necromancy. Quildor must help the survivors, including Wren out of the village and to safety before death catches up to them.Quildor was a quiet, steady presence in Make Me Hunger and although interesting, we didn’t find out much about him. In this novella Roberts gives us Quildor’s backstory as well as a dose of action, romance and some intriguing hints as to future storylines. As I am now coming to expect from Roberts, I loved the romance between Quildor and Wren, although it was brief, it never seemed rushed.
Make Me Whole also furthers the corruption within the mages storyline and adds some hints which have me dying to get my hands on the next book. If you are already reading this series than you need to give this novella a go, it’s a quick but exciting read. If you haven’t started this series yet, then what are you waiting for?

Make Me Whole is an extremely touching novella with a second chance romance that really tore at my heart strings. Even though I wasn't able to spend as much time as a novel would allow with the characters, the romance was highly believable, and the characters were truly deep. They all felt real whether they were side characters or the main characters; I felt like they were real people and teared up whenever something bad happened (to anyone).
Westhaven may not be the most beautiful location for such a stunning romance -- it's dreary, rains all the time, and is currently plague invested -- but Tiffany Roberts really managed to capture the beauty deep inside (something that seems to be a trend for everything they write). Somehow, the beauty of the past merged into the present as I fell in love with Quildor and Wren's hometown. I didn't want to leave and found myself unrealistically attached to their dream. It was so small, so innocent, and so warm...
This book does an amazing job interesting me not only in Tiffany Roberts' writing (as the style is captivating and lovely) but also in The Isle of the Forgotten Series. It's very clear at the end of this book that there is more to come, and the mystery of it has me wishing Make Me Yours was already available.
So much was captured in such a short time. I'm really going to miss Quil and Wren, but I look forward to seeing their cameos in the future.

This series seems to be evolving into something of a serial, while enjoyable it seems to be moving slowly. This installment as with the others a couple Quildor and Wren who are rejoined after 18 years in the midst of what seems to be a plague.
I am wondering if the next book will get us back to the island and the fallen angel we left in the last book.
This is a great story, perhaps a bit too many pages devoted to sex for such a short work but nothing horribly out of sync and the story moved at a good pace and the action we done exceptionally but I felt they left me with too many questions about the future of our couple and the overarching plot that we get small bits of but no real reason for the actions of the evil characters.
Hopefully the next book will clear up these things since I don't think it is a spoiler to mention that none of the things in this book actually take place ion the island but point to a near future return to the Isle of the Forgotten and battles to come (and maybe our fallen angel whose name I can't remember and am too lazy to pull the previous book out and look it up)
Bottom line: Great story, good plot, quick reading, not boring, decent action, 1 very long sex scene that seemed to take too many pages for this story. I voluntarily received a copy of Make Me Whole for an honest review. This one took me a bit to get into and I was honestly worried I wasn’t going to like it. I think the names throw me because there are not easy to wrap the tongue around. However I kept reading and the story got really really good and exciting.
Quildor is tasked to return to the village of his birth after 18 long years away, to observe rumored weird happenings. He is finally returning home, returning to her, Wren. Wren, is a now a servant of the gods, a priestess if you will and acts to help shepherd the dead to their final resting place. (Kinda an icky gig if you ask me.) Her village is under a plague and people are dying at an astounding rate. And those that are supposedly there to help are working against her and her peoples beliefs.
Quildor was ordered to observe only, but when he sees the woman he still loves is stricken by plague he can’t, and is spurred to action. But the plague turns out to be much more malevolent than first appearance and it is a fight to stay alive and escape the village.
The story is very exciting and is loaded with intrigue, action and a bit of passion. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

"There is no good or evil…….only truth and lies. We can learn to sort one from another when spoken, but the truth of a man’s thoughts is his greatest-kept secret. Time spent pondering another man’s truth is time for him to bury a blade in your gut.”

This is a paranormal romance with a touch of mystery. This is a spin off from book two Make me Hunger. I really love this because it gives us an insight to different characters. This is a fast paced read, not a dull moment. Quildor seemed to have a sensitive side to him, in Make Me Hunger, I was wondering if it would come out in the future. Wren has been through so much, she deserves everything she desires. I hope to read more about them in the future.
Quildor Vinson is feeling anxious, he has a chance to go home after 18 years. He left the love of his life Wren without even a goodbye, yes he is a Justicar, but he is a man first. He realizes he has a chance to make amends. The High Mage has given orders just to observe, is he willing to go against direct orders. What if Wren is in danger? Will he be able to figure out the danger before it is too late?

A sweet and gripping tale by Tiffany Roberts of lost love found... Roberts’ MAKE ME WHOLE, a novella set in her Isle of the Forgotten world, has Justicar Quil returning to his home to observe hints of deadly intent against the villagers. Wren, his long-lost love and a servant of the dead and dying, works tirelessly at her craft while a lethal disease gallops through her village. Things, of course, are not what they seem, as evil stalks the pair. Roberts’ assured writing and inviting characters turn this novella into one of adventure, passion, and love. (Note: You need not have read Roberts’ series to enjoy this encounter with her marvelous characters and world.) Make me Whole is a fine complement to Roberts thrilling series. I was captivated from start to finish and can't wait for her next novel.

High Mage Keric was going to send a Justicar to a Village called Westhaven because of rumors of dark magic happening there. Quildor volunteers because he left a women there 18 years ago Wren. The people in the village are dying some sort of plague and Wren is a Priestess Servant of Veyrelle The Goddess. Wren is taking the dead and performing a ritual securing their afterlife. It's a novella but it's fast paced and full of action.This is a prequel to the next story to the Isle of the Forgotten. Highly recommend.

I'm glad this was a short read because it just wasn’t for me—so at least it was over quickly.
I don’t know, the plot just didn’t interest me at all, which is a bit worrying since I think the storyline will continue in book 3… unfortunately for me.
The characters also fell flat for me. There wasn’t much depth, and the connection between the two MCs felt really superficial and forced. I do think that’s mostly due to the short length of the novella and therefore the lack of space to develop a deep connection between them, not because Tiffany Roberts is lacking in writing skills.
And I have to be honest—I cringed at the flashback where they have a ‘hot makeout’ session that leads to sex when they’re only 14. I mean… they’re kids, literal children, and having them dry-hump each other just felt weird 🥴 I get that the goal was to show that they’ve known and loved each other since they were young, but maybe just leave scenes like that out next time.

Book 2.5 in the isle of the forgotten series
Quildar, is a healing justicar mage, not long returned from the isle of the forgotten and the occurrences that happened in book 2. He is sent on a spying mission to west haven to discover what is happening to the villagers there. There is death, loss and her...wren.

Great novella, continuing and setting up the story for book 3. As always the words paint the world in this series brilliantly. I'm really enjoying this series and continued to do so with this book.
Quildar, is a healing justicar mage, not long returned from the isle of the forgotten and the occurrences that happened in book 2. He is sent on a spying mission to west haven to discover what is happening to the villagers there. There is death, loss and her...wren.

Don't skip this one
I almost decided to skip this one since it was a .5 series, it made me think it's not really necessary to the storyline as most .5 novellas are. That is not the case. This story provides a lot of information about the overall plot point. You won't want to miss it.

WHOLE lotta action !!!
This was a fantastic read !!! It has an incredible rhythm and a lot of action !! And , it is not a cliff hanger, but it does set get you ready for book 4 ( which is a hell of a read !!!!! )

Finding
Each other in the cold, wet, necromancer defiled homeland of his youth Quilin found and saved his beloved from certain death and finally was made whole. Glad he is taking action. I really liked it. Not as much as the other ones but I think it's important to know about Quildor past and what happened in this book is very important for the next one.

This is a short story that sets up book 4 nicely. Quildor shines through his caring demeanour that only really started to kick into high gear in book 2. But that caring brings memories of the one he left behind and now realizes that running away didn't solve the issue.

Quick but Great Story!!!
This is a fast read but it is really good. I love the Isle of Forgotten series. I recommend reading it to anyone who loves romance and action.

There could have been a plot here. An ancient ancestor using necromancy, but instead we got a rushed little love story.

This was another very dark addition to the series, and it didn't add a whole lot to the background, but it gave us an important insight into current events, timeline-wise.
Quildor is one of the Justicars we met in Make Me Hunger and got to know a little about. I enjoyed learning more about him and his past. Another tortured soul, though this one is human. His love, Wren, fairs only a bit better. The story itself is awash in death and despair that is more than a little heart wrenching. I'm happy that they got there relatively happy ending.
Overall, this was a good short and a useful read even if wasn't mandatory for the storyline's progression.

Make Me Whole is the perfect little bridge novella between Make Me Hunger and Make Me Yours. It is a story involving Quil, whom we met in the previous book, as he returns to the village and the woman he left so many years before. Whilst he is there, he discovers that the villagers are dying of a plague caused by a necromancer. The bodies are placed on a ship, but we don't yet know where they are going. This is an introduction to the next book, as the twins are mentioned.
For only a novella, there is still a lot going on, with plenty of action and a fast pace. It was very well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow. Make Me Whole is probably more of a 3.5 star rating, but I rounded up for the overall plot developments and the suspense which was really well done in this novella. I am very curious as to where this series is going, and I look forward to picking up the next book in the spring.
