Librarian's note: There is more than one author in the Goodreads database with this name.
First and foremost, I love Sandra Lee, her Food Network shows and her cookbooks. What she has done with this over-sized publication is to use at least one known super food in this collection of recipes. While I, myself, did not see anything in this work I can see it being used by Millennials and those who are younger as they prepare their dishes.
One day I will own all of her books - for now, I keep renting them from the library and dog-earing all the good recipes. Two in here that are a total hit with the family are carrot coconut muffins and enchilada soup. Love when recipes turn out and Sandra Lee's always do. Always love a cookbook with bright beautiful pictures so you know what you're getting.
Great recipes, but she almost "simplifies" a little too much - to the point of making them a hassle ironically. Some things I just don't buy in cans or have in my pantry, but I can whip them up in a heartbeat.
I received this cookbook as a gift, and was not very impressed with the content. Many of the flavor profiles in the recipes are completely unappetizing. I've only been tempted to make one dish, and it came out "ok" at best. Definitely not a keeper.
This book has great pictures to go along with each and every recipe (I love pictures in cook books). The recipes looked yummy and easy to make. I look forward to trying some.
