When you're with Geronimo Stilton, it's always a fabumouse adventure!
My family and I traveled to Milan, Italy, for a special the unveiling of the precious ancient parchment containing the secret, original recipe for panettone, a traditional sweet holiday bread. But right before the big moment, the recipe was stolen! And the thief was masquerading as... me! Could I catch the thief and clear my name?
Elisabetta Dami is an Italian author that currently resides in Italy. She is the author of the Geronimo Stilton series, a bestselling childrens book. She enjoys traveling the world seeking ideas for her series. She writes under a pseudonym of Geronimo Stilton. She is also a co-owner of Italian based publishing company Edizioni Piemme.
I could not pass up reading about Milan and a secret panettone recipe in the world of Geronimo Stilton. Also, once again I love that the author included real historical facts/descriptions of places that Geronimo and his family visited. This book was super cute and an extremely quick read as I am finding it hard to focus on other books right now lol.
On a side note, I just found out that the author is a woman who is from Italy loll (shocking moment for 2024 for me, have I been living under a rock??)
I liked the book because it was cool and funny. my favourite character in this book was scooter because he was part of the press just like Geronimo stilton. i also like geronimo stilton because he is the best and goes on many adventures . my favourite part of this book was that the cat removed the Geronimo stilton disguise and threw it on the floor like and idiot. the part which i didn't like in this book was when they were talking about all of the places they could have just told that they found a map instead of showing us the readers the map.
Well , this is a very interesting book can't stop reading it again and again (am a person who does not like to read books again and again after competing them) this is the kinda of book that is a bit short but intresting .I would love to describe what was in the book but on the other hand I do not want to ruin it for you. Anyway it is a nice book and I loved it! ( I hope you will also enjoy it as much as I do )👍😊
In this one, Geronimo and his friends run all around Milan, Italy to recover stolen artifacts from a thieving “rodent”. I loved this one because I love the history and I want to travel the world one day as well!
S has gotten really, REALLY into Geronimo Stilton books this school year. I think this is the fifth or sixth one he has read (at least). This morning he burst into my bedroom raving about how he had finished this book while reading at bedtime last night and how much he liked it, so I said, "Tell me what you like about it," and he said "Well, they go to Milan and someone dresses up as a janitor and steals a secret recipe for a special kind of Christmas cake and...well, you'll have to read the rest to find out what happens!" I couldn't resist his enthusiastic recommendation, so I read his book this afternoon. I can definitely see why this is appealing to 2nd graders. The illustrations are vibrant and detailed and the text has all sorts of colorful, highlighted words. This particular Geronimo Stilton book had historical facts scattered throughout the book and pages where the action would pause so a tourist attraction in Milan could be described in more detail (S informed me that the facts aren't included in every Stilton book, but I went to his room and looked through a few other books in the series and it seems that most of them do involve non-fiction blurbs in some fashion). S really enjoys the mystery aspect of some of these books as well. This one's "mystery" seemed quite obvious to me, but it clearly kept him happily intrigued. I'm just happy he's so enthusiastic about these books, and clearly learning some things as well. Lucky for him there seem to be roughly a million Geronimo books, so he can stay busy with these for a while.
This was kind of silly, but entertaining. The kids I read this with really loved it which is a big plus and the font changes and pictures really make this engaging. I’d definitely recommend Geronimo Stilton to kids I know and future students of mine, especially more reluctant readers.
My favorite part of this book was when a fake Geronimo was getting the secret recipe from the other Geronimo! It’s about two Geronimo’s looking the same. The spoiler was The Fake Geronimo!!!

This is my fourth Geronimo Stilton. I really liked the emphasis on the city of Milan - its culture, architecture, and food, all in the midst of a mystery.
In this Stilton adventure, he travels to Milan, Italy. I thought the story was well written because it gave several facts about the city. It was almost like a tour of Milan with the facts provided. Surely to be a win with any young reader who enjoys this series.
Genre: Mystery Grades 2-4 I love these books for the middle grades. A great series about a mouse that is a reporter and always trying to solve problems.
