Barbarian Mates #2

Claiming Their Princess

Rate this book
Though she was born a princess, Laina's life has been anything but a fairy tale. Orphaned at a young age, she was raised by one of the Banded Men, a race of huge, fearsome warriors often considered barbarians in the days before the collapse of human civilization. But with her aging adopted father nearing the end of his days, she will need to find a place for herself in the world.

Upon returning home after years away at war, the first thing Randall, Hadden, and Aron have on their minds is finding a mate. When the three battle-hardened brothers see that Laina--the human girl their uncle took in as a child--has grown into a beautiful woman, they quickly decide to claim her as their bride.

Among the Banded Men, a woman is not asked her opinion before she is taken as a wife, and Laina is shocked to discover that her new husbands will not hesitate to punish her bottom both inside and out if she defies them. But her passion is set ablaze as the handsome warriors each take their turn to claim her, and though the very idea leaves her blushing, she soon finds herself longing for the moment when she will be made to surrender her body to all three of them at once.

Publisher's Claiming Their Princess is a stand-alone book which is the second entry in the Barbarian Mates series. It includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.

More Dark🌙 Than Light🌞

Silver and Black, Dark and Light, Randall and Aron of the Day🌞, and Hadden of the 🌙Night.
This is Another interesting and well written adult fairy🐲 tale by erotic romance author, Sue Lyndon.

Laina👸 is the daughter of a despot human King👑 who lived in the mountainous and forested 🌳 land of the Banded Men. She's a Princess👸with no people, her father drinks🍺 himself to death and leaves her an orphan at six years old.
She leaves the castle and an older Banded man, Benjin, finds her wandering. He has lost his brother of the 🌙Night and never married. He becomes the family she needs, she is the only human girl for miles.
When the war against the River Lord is won, Benjin's nephews come home, and come to claim their mate, Laina, all grown up now. The two sets of brothers have lost one of their brothers in The war, Herc, the 🌙Night brother of Randall🐺🍆🌋🔫🔪✋. Now there are three.

I liked the book very much, but in the final scenes, the spankings✋ got way over done, and became nearly beatings. Three huge, strong and handsome young men🐺🍆🌋🔫🔪✋ can't keep their one and only woman👸 in line without severe whippings? That is sad.

Definitely xxx adult reading. There is more than spanking✋✋✋ here, there is punishment and humiliation, degrading of Laina. Don't read if you are squeamish.
I liked the first book much better. Three men and one woman doesn't really work for me. Consent🍆🌋✋ was nebulous in several places.

This book is about Laina she's an orphaned human princess that was taken in by a kind banded man who has raised her as his own daughter. He has three nephews who are returning from war and who seek a mate and he believes Laina would be the perfect woman for them. Difficult time lay ahead for all of them but can they forge ahead and find love together?

Laina is cute and feisty and her men are very protective of her. I really loved her father/daughter relationship with Benjin and was sad to see him go. Luckily for her she has three strong mates who want to protect her and love her. She's not the best at following the rules and finds herself with a sore bottom but she grows to love the men and they her.

While I enjoyed learning a little bit more about the Banded race, the story just did not have the length to connect with that many characters. I was barely able to in the first story with only two banded men, so adding a third was just too much. I did enjoy the relationship that Laina had with the uncle and the relationship with the brothers. I just wish the relationship between the three had been a little more fleshed out. The author has the bones of a great series here and it really should have been full length stories rather than novellas.

If you've ever felt the need to tell someone "You need to put warnings on this because it might trigger their syndrome" then you definitely do not need to read this story. This wasn't a bad tale, although this was one more for readers looking for porn and less for plot. I'd be very selective of whom I'd recommend this story to, considering the amount of people who forget that storytelling is an art and not everyone will have the same tastes.

3 mates?

Laina is a human princess living in the Banded world. Banded men always come in pairs, one diurnal and one nocturnal. And they always share a mate. A banded man whose twin has died doesn't take a mate, unless he has older or younger brothers, and then they will all share a mate. That's what happens with Laina and her mates. Can she handle 3 stern and loving mates?

Good short. Story

This the third in this series I have read. Each has a different stories but the characters are similar. The ladies are young and poor but for different reasons, have been forced out of their village. The woods surrounding the village is very dangerous with large animals. The young ladies are rescued by a Banded Man. Mature readers.

Good Good Story!!

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. It was better than the Maiden story. I loved the characters and storyline so much. All very powerful characters. Laina, Randall, Aron and Haden were wonderful. Benjin was a strong support for Laina. On to the last of the 3 stories “Claiming Their Slave“ 🥰💜💜💜💜💜🥰

Enjoyable series

While i still do not quite know the difference between a Banded and human....this was an excellent story. It made me cry and laugh and cringe. Some spanking but lots of love.

Milder than One

But still a nice read. Very good plot and character build. The spanking is milder than book one and besides the hand is a wooden spoon. There is a foursome included.

Good

It was a quick read a little heavy on the spanking which I usually enjoy but in this story it seemed overused

Not much togetherness and relationship development.

Anal sex was used as a punishment which conflicted with the positive double penetration bonding sex. The author should have chosen orgasm denial or forced orgasm if she wanted a sexual punishment.

The men's rule of the heroine not leaving the property before she was mated was a stupid reason for invoking a punishment. The heroine had been allowed to leave just days before when she was living with her father. This plot trick made the men appear insecure.

Laina hasn't had an easy life. The only other human she has encountered is her father, who spent his days in a drunken stupor. After his passing, Laina is taken in by one of the Banded, a race of fierce warriors. As her adopted father nears the end of his life he begins to make plans for Laina's future. Those plans include his three nephews that have been away fighting for years.

After years of fighting Randall, Aron, and Hadden just want to return home and find a mate they can all share. When they see the woman their uncle's charge has become, they instantly know that she is the woman for them. Now it's just a matter of convincing Laina of her new role.

I read this book as a stand alone. Although I really enjoyed it, I suspect I missed out on a lot of the world building having not read the first book. To be a short story, this book contained a lot of emotion as Laina struggles with the loss of her guardian and accepting her new role as a mate to the three brothers. The story also contains plenty of heat as the three brothers make Laina theirs. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this series.

I received an ARC of this book from Stormy Night Publications.

I usually enjoy Sue Lyndon's books and this one was no different in that respect. Laina's life with her natural father was full of pain, when he died she was "adopted" but a Banded man who had no prospect of children and she loves him deeply. When he tells her that his nephews are returning from war, she realises that he hopes that she would be claimed by them. This would be beneficial to his nephews and Laina and would enable him to travel to the Willow Lakes where his people go when they are dying while being reassured as to Laina's wellbeing. I thought they could have waited a little to get to know her as an adult before claiming her but that was not their way. They claimed her (verbally) as soon as they saw her which is what Laina expected and as it turns out, she did not want to delay the physical claiming. The relationships were well described and quite moving. This was a very enjoyable read. I received this book from Stormy Night Publications as an advance review copy.

I really loved this book (it is way better than the first book - Claiming Their Maiden). I love the concept of the Banded (twins - one of the light and one of the dark - so that their mate is always protected). The first half of the book was really an emotional read. Between Randall's story and Laina's background, and Benjin's future, it was really hard to see my ereader through the tears. The author does a fantastic job drawing you into the story and making you care about what happens to these characters. The story is not that long but it is detailed enough to give a complete tale that is entertaining. I could not put it down. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

I received a copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed this book. I have also borrowed many of the author's books through Kindle Unlimited and bought others.

I really enjoyed this new, sexy, page-turner from Sue Lyndon!
Laina finds herself mated to three hot alpha's, and soon realises that her disobedience will earn her a trip over any one of their laps for a well-earned spanking... The menage scenes are sizzling hot, but I also relished the loving discipline dished out by her three dominant men!
If you love your romance to leave you hot, breathless and in desperate need of a spanking, then you need to read Claiming Their Princess! Claiming Their Princess by Sue Lyndon

Not for me.

I wasn't a fan of this book. The dominance and submission didn't seem to have the same quality as it does in a better story. On top of that I didn't feel a connection to the characters. The story just seemed undeveloped.
