Illus. in full color. A parrot with a palette flies through this book, introducing colors and explaining how they can be mixed to form new ones. The flora and fauna are labeled by name as well as color.
This is a great book for parents and teachers to read to children who are learning their colors. This book list all of the colors and different animals and objects of the same color. I think this is a great book for children to learn their colors and practice their reading.
Not your average color book. Sure there's a lemon on yellow and a snowman on white, but there are so many unique birds, flowers and different colorful things, (even a purple monster!)
Fun to see our daughter enjoying this one as much as I did at her age!
There are many colors in the world, and this parrot is going to school you on all of them.
When The Wife and I saw this at the new local Dollar Bookstore, both of us immediately had the strangest feeling like we'd seen it before, and reading it only enhanced the feeling of nostalgia, though it seriously must be like 30 years since I've laid eyes on it. As a book of colors it's great, especially for toddlers, and features a lot of varied examples on each page, but mostly I can't get over how familiar it is on every page. I'm going to have to ask my mom about this one. Thanks, Dollar Bookstore!
I think this book is great for kids learning colors. The thing I like most about it is that it tells what colors make up each color-for pink it says white and red, green it says yellow and blue, etc. it also gives many different examples of things that are each color. At the end it has all of the colors on one page. I would use this in an art lesson for young kids.
This is one that my older son loved reading over and over again. It lists and has pictures of bunches of things that are each color, including some lesser known colors (like olive, tan, lavender).
