Was given this book upon graduating High School almost thirty years ago. As you can see, I'm only now getting around to reading it. The content is a collection of "wise" sayings: some Biblical while others are pop psychology, good for tickling the ear but not much more than that. Any person can easily read this in a single day.

A godly woman from my church gave me this book. It is filled with many inspirational quotes about various topics.

Collection of quotes, Bible verses, and sayings with absolutely no references. Some are thoughtful, some are rather boring, and others are actually silly. While organized, there are so many worthless quotes, it’s hard to make it through this thin book without nearly total boredom with just some smiles or provocative thoughts. “All people smile in the same language,” It’s easier to fight for one’s principles than to live up to them,” “God is only a prayer away,” and “Act as if each day was given you for Christmas, just as eager, just as proud!” were my favorite quotes.

Providing sources would help this book considerable. Short of that, this book is like reading greeting cards at the drug store.

Wings of Silver is one of those books where you can read one page per day, like a devotional. There are many quotes that are wonderful and helpful and that can be applied to different circumstances, but there are other ones that are not really interesting. Also, I would have loved to know who the author of each quote is, I think it helps with the context of the quote.
I liked it, it is nice, helpful and quotable. Perfect for a gift.

Just a book filled with quotes but no credit to who wrote them. Enjoyable but nothing I couldn’t get from reading a Pinterest feed - Some where from the Bible some were cute or interesting some didn’t mean anything to me. Although it was a beautiful edition, I gave this book away after reading half of it.

Another I have been re-reading since I was a child. They belong to my da. I read this and apples of gold, and find the re-read value immense for the spirit.

Many of the quotes are familiar ... some from the Bible ... but I wish the author had given credit to those quotes by known authors.
